Coffee Preventative Health Benefits
Coffee is a popular drink that many people rely on to start their day and give them a pick me up
throughout it. Simply smelling the rich aroma of the roasted beans brewing in the morning is
enough to start getting a person to feel more alert and prepared. When that first cup is consumed
and kicks in it gears a person up and gets them motivated for action. However, what they may not
know is that by consuming 2 3 cups of this aromatic beverage a day they may be providing
preventative health benefits on a mental and physical level. These benefits have been documented
by researchers in scientific fields based on conducting studies.
One of the benefits realized by researchers is that the minerals and elements of coffee help boost the
levels of serotonin and dopamine in the brain, which in turn will help to reduce feelings of
depression and allow a person to be in an uplifted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The consumption of coffee also contributes to aiding the liver in people who drink alcohol, so the
stereotype of giving a person coffee after a night of drinking actually does have a use in aiding to
stave off liver damage. The likelihood that a person may have a heart attack or stroke is slightly
lower for a person who includes coffee in their routine as well.
Coffee does have its side effects. It is best to drink it black, adding sugar or creamers not only
add calories, but may give you a jittery feeling. According to other sources, adding half and half or
liquid creamers can add almost 50 calories in coffee, whereas coffee alone is only 7 calories.
Coffee will make you urinate frequently as it is a natural diuretic which causes more frequent
urination, and it contains acidic elements that may cause heartburn in some certain

History of the Web
Sir Tim Berners Lee is the computer scientist who created what people know as the World Wide
Web. After graduating from Oxford University, Berners Lee became a software engineer at CERN,
the European Organization for Nuclear Research, near Geneva, Switzerland. Here, Berners Lee
noticed that scientists were having trouble sharing information. Berners Lee once stated, In those
days, there was different information on different computers, but you had to log on to different
computers to get at it. Also sometimes you had to learn a different program on each computer.
Often it was just easier to go and ask people when they were having coffee... .

Founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak created Apple Computer on April 1, 1976, and incorporated
the company on January 3, 1977, in Cupertino, California.
Wozniak built each computer by hand, and although he d wanted to sell them for little more than
the cost of the parts at a price at that would recoup their outlay as long as they shipped 50 units
Jobs had a larger view. jobs inked a deal with the Byte Shop in Mountain View to supply it with 50
computers at $500 each. After the store took its cut, the Apple I sold for $666.66. the legend is that
Wozniak liked repeating numbers and was unaware of the number of the beast connection.
On October 5, 2011, Steve Jobs died, marking the end of an era for Apple. The first major product

Herbicide Roundup Research Paper
How Long Does it Take Roundup to Work?
Weeds the cause of misery and a curse to gardeners everywhere, and the sooner they are gone the
better. Fortunately, the herbicide Roundup takes on their robust and bothersome growth and
quickly decimates their population, which allows more time for outdoor enjoyment than warring
with weeds. Wherever you have unwanted growth, Roundup makes a product to tackle the crisis
and with most, visible results are obvious in just a few hours after applying.
Roundup s Family of Products
Monsanto created and distributed the original Roundup back in 1974, which was an herbicide with
glyphosate as its main ingredients. Even today when one mentions Roundup you are more than
likely picturing the original weed killer, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before using, always read and familiarize yourself with the specific Roundup s instructions on the
label. In addition, always wear protective clothing like a long sleeved shirt and goggles to keep
the herbicide off your skin and out of your eyes. Always wash your hands immediately after using
and wash your clothes. Always allow the product to completely dry before permitting children or
pets into the treated area.
For the best results, always apply any Roundup product on a windless and sunny day when
temperatures are above 60 degrees Fahrenheit and no rain is in the forecast. If you accidentally
spray a plant, quickly rinse the herbicide off with water. To keep the environment safe, don t apply
any herbicide close to a body of water, storm drain, and ditch or gutter where runoff occurs.
If using a tank sprayer to apply any Roundup herbicides, make sure to use one made out of
fiberglass, plastic, stainless steel or plastic lined steel, and don t use a sprayer made out of unlined
or galvanized steel. Always follow each herbicide s mixing instructions on amounts and application
instructions so you don t injure desirable plants. In addition, testing the spray pattern on a concrete
driveway before heading into the garden assures you have the correct nozzle adjustment and you
don t end up spraying non targeted plants.

Paris. Euro Disney is Europe s No.1 family entertainment park. All the same it has had its moments
of ups and downs. This adventure that Euro Disney has been through has been full of surprise and
anticipation. The management have had to re evaluate their strategies in order to pull out of the
crisis facing them.
Every company must analyse the marketing mix, i.e. Product, Price, Promotion and Distribution
while planning their market entry strategy. Since the American management were successful while

This report analyses the case and gives key recommendations for future launches based on a SWOT
analysis, market research and the international planning process as outlined in Cateora Graham
(2005).
The recommendations are directed to assist Walt Disney CO. in evaluating possible new locations
for another Disneyland.
2. Case Study Summary and The French Market
The key issues the case study is dealing with are: insufficient knowledge of the Disney s
management about the French culture and habits, a venturous initial financing, and wrong
marketing and pricing policies.
The Walt Disney Co. opened its first European Disneyland in Paris in April 1992. The Paris
location accepted the bid for the biggest and most lavish Disneyland by this time due to generous
incentives of the French government and the impressive demographic characteristics of this region.
Since the Disney management figured out that 310 million people or possible visitors can reach
Euro Disney within a two hours travel by plane, it was expected to attract 11 million visitors in the
first year of operation.
Euro Disney adopted an early advertising campaign to emphasize the details and size

Corporate Social Responsibility

While there is no universally accepted definition of Corporate Social Responsibility, it is usually
described in terms of a company considering, managing and balancing the economic, social and
environmental impacts of its activities. The notion of corporate social responsibility should be a
part of the core business operations of a company, rather than a separate add on .[2]
Given that socially responsible organizations should seek minimize their negative impacts and
maximize their positive impacts , the fast food industry provides an important context in which to

1.1.2Causes of obesity
Some companies and institutions, have hold Individuals as targets, and claim that everyone
specifically accountable for their own weight. However the blame for obesity is misplaced.
Much obesity is the result of genetics and the environment. Yet individuals are blamed when the
food environment is the problem. Different than twenty years ago, today food outlets are
everywhere, and the most readily available and most heavily promoted food is the least nutritious.
Eating is an automatic response to cues from this kind of environment. The brain is wired to
respond to cues, and those in the food industry have become exceptionally good at triggering those
cues.[5]
Fast food and obesity has been a major link that makes the American dining experience and
unfortunately American Health most noteworthy to world specialists. About 60M of the American
population is considered obese. Most significantly is that the impending danger of obesity concern
has become a world phenomenon. The problem of obesity has crept quickly as fast as the spurt of
fast foods all throughout the world. Though, people could not blame McDonaldization and
Globalization.[6]
What makes this type of food so appealing not only to Americans is that it s not just hot, tasty, and
greasy; it s also constant and convenient.

Income Distribution and Economic Growth in LDC s Essay
Income Distribution and Economic Growth in LDC s
INTRODUCTION
In recent years, one of the major concerns of economic development is the study of poverty, the
income distribution and growth in the less developed countries (LDC s) or Third World countries.
Economists from all over the world have been doing researches and studies on how to induce a
growth in those underdeveloped countries. However, countries differentiate in historical
backgrounds, cultural believes and natural resources. As a result, the government would implement
different strategies to attain a much fairer distribution of income among the society. The relationship
between the income distribution and growth in the LDC s is a significant factor that would affect ...

The major concern of the policies would be the approach to provide human basic needs (HBN)
for each and every one of the people in the country. In nearly all of the LDC s, majority of the
people are living under absolute poverty. This means that they are not able to provide a standard
level of living for themselves. Different policies to improve the income inequality and also procure
an economic growth include land reform, redistribution of saving and investment, education for all,
progressive taxation, public expenditures from tax revenues and birth control.
Some people think that there existed a trade off between growth and equity. They think that
distributing income too equally would undermine incentives and thus lower everyone s income.
They believed that the rich needed special encouragement to save and invest more in order to
cause a growth in the economy. Recent evidence suggests that this conventional wisdom is wrong.
Many economies in Asia Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Singapore,
Taiwan (province of China) and Thailand have had both rapid growth and relatively low inequality.
Between 1960 and 1993 the East Asian economies,

Immature Wuthering Heights
In Wuthering Heights, both Edgar and Nelly have interesting views on Catherine. It s funny
how they both have negative perspectives on her, but each have total differences. One person
sees her as totally immature. The other sees her not using her full potential. However, the two
see Catherine in different angles opposed to how they interacted, and how the had time to think
on their own experiences. In Nelly s point of view I can to relate to what she sees. She sees
Catherine as a big baby. I agree with her completely. Catherine just throws temper tantrums just to
get her way. It shows every time she is displeased. Also, its just as the prompt says, she does it to

Catherine can use her intellect as well as her emotions to prove her point, but her emotional

Essay On The Debates Between Abraham Lincoln And Stephen...
Archaeologists have traditionally viewed the list of seven debates between Abraham Lincoln and
Stephen A. Douglas through the 1858 Illinois state voting campaign as amongst the most important
declarations in American imperial history. Those concerns they addressed were not only of crucial
significance to the regional dispute over states rights and slavery but also covered deeper into
issues that would proceed to change political dialogue. What is usually neglected is that these
contests were a component of the comprehensive campaign, that they were intended to achieve
some main policy objectives, and that they showed the features of mid nineteenth century political
speech . Douglas, being part of Congress as from 1843 and a famous nationwide spokesperson for
the Democratic body, was contesting for another election for a third season in the Senate, whereas
Lincoln was vying for the same seat as a Republican1. Due to Douglas s political development, the
campaign captivated nationwide attention. Despite the fact that senators were selected by the state
parliaments until 1913, Lincoln and Douglas took their contentions straight to the citizens. The
time of the operations, the setting of sectional enmity in which it was argued, the slavery issue,...

How Did Religion Influence The Church s Health
Founded in Massachusetts in 1879, the church of Christian Science aimed to provide spiritual and
physical healing to the community. A woman named Mary Baker Eddy founded the religion and
eventually founded the Christian Science Mother Church. Eddy s life inspired the basis and many
of the teachings of the Christian Science faith. Originally raised in a devout Calvinist household,
Eddy disagreed with the church s teachings on predestination and moved away from the religion.
Eddy suffered from many illnesses growing up, both physical and psychological, and turned to the
bible as a source of comfort. She continued to suffer from chronic illnesses in her adult life and

The Doctrine Of Freedom Of Contract
The particular focus of this essay is on how terms are implied. This is central because the courts
intervene and impose implied terms when they believe that in addition to the terms the parties
have expressly agreed on, other terms must be implied into the contract. Gillies argued that the
courts have become more interventionist in protecting the rights of contracting parties thereby
encroaching upon the notion of freedom of contract. The doctrine of freedom of contract is a
prevailing philosophy which upholds the idea that parties to a contract should be at liberty to
agree on their own terms without the interference of the courts or legislature. Implied terms can
be viewed as a technique of construction or interpretation of contracts. It has been argued that the
courts are interfering too much in their approach to determine and interpret the terms of a
contract. The aim of this essay is to explore this argument further and in doing so consider
whether freedom of contract is lost due to courts imposing implied terms. The essay will outline
how the common law implies terms. The final part of the essay will examine whether Parliament,
by means of a statute, or terms implied by custom restrict freedom in a contract. An overall
conclusion on the issue will be reached. On the one hand it is evident that terms implied at
common law can be implied in law or implied in fact . Terms implied as a matter of fact are said to

Lorraine Hansberry was born in Chicago on March 19, 1930. Hansberry was an African American.
She was one of four siblings that include two brothers and one sister. In the 1930 s racism and
segregation was prevalent in the time. Her parents were civil rights activist Carl and Nannie

er_sarabjitkaur35@rediffmail.com Abstract Data mining is one of the essentially used and
interesting research areas. Mining association rule is one of the important research techniques in
data mining field. Many algorithms for mining association rules are proposed on the basis of
Apriori algorithm and improving the algorithm strategy but most of these algorithms not
concentrate on the structure of database. The proposed technique includes transposition of database
with further enhancement in this particular transposition technique. This approach will reduce the
total scans over the database and then time consumed to generate the association rules will be less.
Keywords Association rules, Apriori , Transpose, Execution time and Iterations.

Why Is School Bus Scheduling
How to Realize the Importance of School Bus Scheduling?
Meta description: School bus scheduling is one of the important tasks. Proper scheduling keep
student safe and secure throughout the journey. Let s have a glimpse on the relevance of it
School bus fleet management is an integral part of school discipline management and assuring
student safety. Scheduling the school bus transport according to the needs of students and concerns
of the parents is therefore a Herculean task. With the introduction of advanced technology such as
GPS, fleet management has become easier with optimal allocation and utilization of resources.
Scheduling of school buses can therefore be of use due to many factors.
1. It saves considerable time in transport of students
Fixing a convenient bus stop for all students of a particular stop with due consideration for factors
such as proximity to house, walking distance, etc. might seem a little difficult for a school fleet
manager under normal circumstances. But not so for those who have opted to employ the school bus
fleet management system.
Nevertheless, it not only calculates and analyse all the factors required for fixing a bus stop, but
also details such as traffic volume during the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most often, bullying in school premises is controlled due to intervention and consistent
monitoring by teaching staff. However, bullying on school buses and bus stops tend to be
overlooked. When there is a proper bus scheduling, parents can avoid sending their children too
early to wait at bus stops. With the latest GPS vehicle tracking systems coupled with PUSH, email
or SMS options can send instant alerts to parents notifying them of the arrival of the school bus.
With less waiting time at the bus stop, chaos can be avoided to a greater degree eventually reducing
instances of bullying and eliminating it

First at Blue Ridge, Inc. Site Visit For my site visit and interview assignment for HP 2100,
Health Planning, and Evaluation, I chose First at Blue Ridge Inc., a therapeutic community for
people with substance abuse, and their Executive Director, Joseph A. Martinez, J.D. However,
this was not my only time to visit the First. Several years back, I went to the First with a
musician friend of mine for a band practice. Mr. Martinez is an accomplished bass and keyboard

and interview with Mr. Martinez was not only an enjoyable experience, but informative as well.
Program planning was demonstrated with real world applications. I was able to gather enough
information to conclude my ideas on the pros and cons of the agency. Perhaps most importantly,
some avenues of career opportunities were demonstrated with a Health Promotion degree in the
substance abuse field. Since I closed my Three Quarter Way House in Miami in late 1997 and
drifted away from the recovery community, I have had a longing to be involved again. This has
formed part of my reason for continuing my educational pursuits. Mr. Martinez and his staff were
generous with their time, interaction, and advice. On Mr. Martinez s advice, I plan to pursue to
become a Certified Peer Support Specialist to compliment my degree. Also, I plan to attend the
Burke County Substance Abuse Network breakfast with Mr. Martinez on the last Friday of the
month. This assignment proved to be a most valuable

Analysis Of The Movie Fight Club
In the movie Fight Club we are introduced to an average, white collared, middle aged man who is
seemingly normal at first glance. However, it is clear that the narrator suffers from insomnia,
anxiety, and depression very early in the film. The narrator attempts to combat these symptoms in a
number of ways, however, the only way that he has found to be effective is by attending support
groups on a nightly basis.
The narrator soon creates an alter ego (though we do not know he is his alter ego until the end of
the film) named Tyler Durden. Durden is more attractive, has a better physique, and is overall more
confident than the narrator and Durden regularly takes control of the narrator without the narrator s
knowledge to carry out tasks that the narrator does not believe he has the power to accomplish.
This use of dissociation is a defense mechanism used by the narrator to remove himself from
situations that may produce anxiety. The narrator has many instances in which he is not able to
recollect things that happened that day or in previous days, such as having sexual relations with
Marla (the narrator envisions Tyler having sexual relations with Marla, while it is him having
sexual relations with Marla). However, it is difficult to reason through whether or not he is having
these memory lapses due to a true dissociative identity disorder (DID) or perhaps due to physical
trauma that was sustained through his fighting. Although the narrator is seen consuming an alcoholic

Understanding The Core Variables That Affect Our Lives Essay
Aging, although a quite evasive and rather frightening thought, is an inevitable process that occurs
to every form of life, regardless of genetic makeup or origin, and it is a fundamental mechanism in
which our universe/cosmos is able to fuel itself with and ultimately flourish on. It is simply
invariable, in order for there to be creation and rebirth, there needs to be the set process that
eventually leads to death and reconversion in a perpetual system/method of sustenance.
Understanding the core variables that affect these processes are essential because they allow us to
gain a deeper insight into what it means to age, both physically and mentally, but more importantly,
how to live our current lives to ensure a happy, gratifying, and fuller existence.
For my Aging Process assignment, I have chosen to interview my grandfather Joe Pacheco. He
is a currently retired man who is approximately 84 years of age, and presently resides in sunny
Thousand Oaks, California. Never being too prominent in my life at a young age, apart from
occasional family gatherings and outings, there wasn t too much that I really knew about him
before this, so choosing him for my interview assignment was in a way metaphorically killing
two birds with one stone. The things that I DID know were that he was a veteran who went on to
work in the fire department for a large portion of his career and was now retired in California after
his divorce, in which he was apparently ecstatic about. Having spoken to

Universal Health Care
In 2007, more than 45 million Americans did not have health care insurance. The United States is
the only industrialized major nation in the world without health care, and the debate about changing
that has become a popular issue recently. The sharp difference between the two sides is a
difference in ethical values; those for universal health caredesire to see the government help others,
mainly the lower class, and those who do not, wish that private companies be allowed to continue
taking advantage of the status quo for profit. In this paper, I will argue why the Government should
put in place The Universal Healthcare Systems.[1]
Chapter 1

Private insurance companies can inflate the price of their service if they desire. A universal
healthcare system prevents that because it is run by the government.[2]
I personally understand health care cost, and spending is a major concern for our society. Many
governments around the world have established all embracing health care, which takes the
burden of health care expenses off of private businesses or individuals through pooling of
financial possibility. There are tons of arguments for universal health care, and related health care
practices. Health care is an important part of health systems, and therefore, it often accounts for
one of the largest areas of high spending for both governments and individuals all over the world.
For example, medical debt is now a leading cause of personal bankruptcy in the United States. A
policy should be created to help lower the cost of health care.2
One way that would help improve health care spending is to create a universal health care to
make sure everyone is covered. By creating this, it will help decrease the number of lobbyers
which in turn will cut government funding to those special interest groups. There are 45 million
Americans uninsured and according to CNN report, 45,000 Americans die each year due to lack
of affordable health care. So by creating a universal health care system, we can be sure to expect
to see a longer lifespan for our population as is the case in countries that

Fight Or Flight Response Theory
Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous,
likely to cause pain, or a threat. There is a very great variety as to the degree of fear and trouble
that persons are exercised with before they obtain any comfortable evidence of pardon and
acceptance with God. Fearis something that can result into a persons reaction or inaction. An
example of this is Fight or flight this was first described in the 1920s by American physiologist
Walter Cannon. The fight or flight response, or the acute stress response, refers to a
physiological reaction that occurs in the presence of something that is terrifying, either mentally
or physically. The response is triggered by the release of hormones that prepare your body to
either stay and deal with a threat or to run away to safety. The fight or flight response realized that
a chain of rapidly occurring reactions inside the body helped to mobilize the body s resources to
deal with threatening circumstances.Today the fight or flight response is recognized as part of the
first stage of Hans Selye s general adaptation syndrome, a theory describing the stress response.
Though fear is a negative emotion the concept of the use of fear can be both negative and positive
in its relationship to society. Fear is usually a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

To measure current and potential customer s awareness of this establishment. Using random digit

us to reduce the chance of frame error because random digit dialing allows us to contact all
potential participants with telephones, not just those listed in the phone directory. By using our
own telephone interviewing facility, we are able to have control over the interviewers and monitor
the whole process. In an effort to decrease non response bias, we will attempt to contact each
participant a maximum of four times. The questions will be dichotomous, and there will be some

Government As A Market Economy
1.What do you think about the role of government in a market economy? Do you think government
should intervene in a market economic system? Why? Explain.
The government plays a critical role in a market economy, for it establishes the strategies of
providing key services, redistribution, regulation and subdivision. Concerning provision, the
government plays the role of providing public goods and services such as national security, which
is imperative for a stable economy. Within the American economy for example, the Lorenz curve
provided information towards the existence of unequal distribution of income. By carrying out
redistribution therefore, the government will be making distribution of income and other important
resources less unequal (Gregory et al, 2004). By carrying out regulation within a market economy,
the government will be setting grounds for a free and fair market, which is the foundation upon
which a stable economy operates. Over and above, I harbor the perception that the government
should intervene in a market economic system, for such a strategy guarantees that, the ideal
monetary and fiscal policies are in place to prevent the market from fluctuations.
2.What are the proprietorship business organizations and corporations? Which one do you think is
more important for the American economy? As a macro economic policy maker, would you
support the growth in the number of proprietorship businesses or corporations? Why?

Symptoms And Symptoms Of Nausea
What Does Nausea Feel Like
One of the early signs of pregnancy is nausea, and many expectant mothers experience nausea
during early pregnancy. Nausea is usually a common symptom throughout the first trimester or even
longer, and it is typically the most complained about symptom that women report. Fortunately, even
though nausea can be terribly uncomfortable, it is not harmful to you or your baby. Not
surprisingly, first time mothers want to know, what does nausea feel like?

Nausea, or morning sickness , is usually worse in the mornings and can sometimes last all day.
Pregnant women describe morning sickness as resembling motion sickness, indigestion, hunger

My husband was afraid to even approach me when I got sick, poor thing, he thought he was the
problem. However the real morning sickness didn t start until after I was six or seven weeks
pregnant, then I couldn t look at, smell, or eat anything for four months. But after thinking about
it, I realized that odors were triggering my bouts of nausea. The smell of eggs and garbage was
making me nauseous, and by simply changing the breakfast menu over to cold cereal with milk and
emptying the trash every day, my symptoms became less intense and frequent. Gail 26
Why Would I Experience Nausea in Pregnancy?
Nobody can say exactly what causes nausea during pregnancy. However, it is probably a
combination of the many changes your body is going through and some of the possible causes
could include:
$Estrogen: The hormone estrogen increases rapidly during early pregnancy and may contribute to
feelings of nausea.
$Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG): This hormone also increases during early pregnancy, and
especially if the pregnancy is with twins. While not much is known about its contribution to nausea,
the timing suggests that it might increase a mother s sensitivity to it.
$Enhanced Sensitivity to Odors: It s very common for pregnant women to be overwhelmed by
certain odors. Culprits can include eggs, raw meat,

The Early Christian Doctrine Of The Trinity
The doctrine of the Trinity is the study of who God is, what God is like, how God works, and
how God is to be approached (Erickson). God as Trinity was established by the dogma of the
ancient Church and defends the central faith of the Bible and the Church (Grenz). The Christian
doctrine of the Trinity states that there is One Godwho is three divine persons; the Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit.
I will describe how the early Christian church came to its understanding of God as Three in One.
Although the Bible does not clearly teach the Trinitarian view of God, it (Erickson) does provide
an understanding of God as Three in One. In the Old Testament, God refers to Himself in the
plural (e.g., Gen 1:26, 3:22, 11:7; Isa 6:8) which could suggest ... Show more content on

It is important to address prayer to each member of the Trinity, in accordance with the purpose of
the prayer and the role of each Trinitarian person. Each Trinitarian person is fully divine so we
need to address each member of the Trinity in prayer and worship. We need to address prayers of
worship to the Father (e.g. Luke 11:2; Matthew 6:9) so that we can praise and thank Him for
sending His Son. We need to address certain prayers of worship to the Son because of His wiliness
to come and give His life for us (e.g. Phil 2: 9 10). Although there is no biblical reference to prayer
being addressed to the Holy Spirit, we can also address certain prayers to the Holy Spirit, although
it is also appropriate to ask the Father to make the Holy Spirit present in our lives. The Holy Spirit
empowers believers to pray and when we pray in the Spirit, we are being guided by the Spirit (Acts
11:12; Acts 13:2). Therefore, we need to praise the Holy Spirit for guiding believers and convicting

In Robert Hayden s poem The Whipping , Hayden uses many techniques to make a commentary
on the lasting and circular effects of child abuse. The poem starts with a boy running away

Hayden uses vivid language to describe the ensuing chase where the boy pleads in dusty zinnias
as the woman pursues and corners him (Hayden). Hayden intentionally crafts vivid imagery of a

Should Shakespeare Be Taught In Schools
Shakespeare died 400 years ago. He is the only required author in the 9th grade Common Core.
Why is that? Shakespeare is a world known English, actor, playwright, and writer. He wrote 38
plays, poems, and sonnets. He is being taught in freshman English classes in high schools, and
making these freshmen miserable. Shakespeare should not be included in the 9th gradecurriculum
because it is hard to understand, not relevant, and meant for the theatre and not a classroom. To
begin with, Shakespeare is very hard for most 9th graders to read. Shakespeare uses language that
is not modern and students most likely did not learn. As said by Powell, the director of Salisbury

As Shelina Janmohamed said, The aspiration to love and be loved is present in all times and
places (Janmohamed380). There are plenty of modern authors who covers the same themes. Force
feeding children can only induce nausea and a lifelong aversion (Robshaw402) If teachers wait,
students will approach the Bard more willingly and openly. Then they will be able to appreciate
him rather than hating him. Shakespeare is difficult to read, being taught in a way that does not
give him justice, and is outdated. For these reasons Shakespeare should not be taught in the 9th
grade. Do Shakespeare and students a favor; throw him out.
Shakespeare should not be included in the 9th grade curriculum
because it is hard to understand, not relevant, and meant for the theatre and not a

Crime And Punishment, By Fyodor Dostoevsky
Crime and Punishment, written by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky; is a philosophical crime
fiction novel. The story is very powerful in that it goes beyond the book and into the lives of the
audience; making the audience feel some type of relation between themselves and the story.
Dostoevsky was brilliant in creating a fictional world where the characters seem to be found within
the audience, transitioning from a fictional story to a self help book. He employes many life
lessons in the story, which give the audience a new perspective on themselves. In the book Crime
and Punishment, I personally, see myself as Raskolnikov. I feel that his view of the world is
similar to mine in that we both are somewhat disgusted by our fellow man, and that we have little
faith in humanity. We are also similar in that we both feel as if we are alienated from society in a
way. I think that the book has given me an extensive understanding about myself, in that I now
realize that it is unhealthy to be prideful because you end up exploding with pent up emotions.
Raskolnikov has shown me that although we are set in our ways, there is always room to change
for the better. If I could meet Dostoevsky I would ask him what his inspiration for Crime and
Punishment was. Sometimes I wonder if the novelwas written to give us insight to how Dostoevsky
felt about the world. Maybe he is using the characterRaskolnikov to portray a part of him who feels
alienated from the world, and is torn apart

Greasy Lake and Its Many Historical References
Greasy Lake and its Many Historical References In T. Coraghessan Boyle s short story Greasy
Lake, there are many subtle historical references. These references pertain to different events that
were happening during the time period that the story takes place, and help to describe different
parts of the plot. Casual readers may not even notice these interesting little bits of information, but
upon paying closer attention; they would become aware of the small, almost unnecessary references
that make this story so fascinating. T. C. Boyle uses many military and political terms from the
Vietnam War to describe events in the story. In Greasy Lake, T.C. Boyle describes the mistake that
worsened the situation ten fold: The first... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Boyle also uses the term air blitz when he illustrates the scene of the early morning of Greasy
Lake in the aftermath of the fight. I was circling the car, as dazed and bedraggled as the sole
survivor of an air blitz, when Digby and Jeff emerged from the trees behind me. (Gioia 150) A
blitz is any swift, vigorous attack, barrage, or defeat.... ( Blitz ) It is obvious why the narrator
would feel like he had just endured a blitz. He had just narrowly escaped a beating that could
possibly have killed him. Other terms used in the story are guerrilla and commando. Boyle used
these words when discussing the topic of crawling across the ground. I inched forward, elbows
and knees, my belly pressed to the muck, thinking of guerrillas and commandos and The Naked
and the Dead (149). T.C. Boyle also uses many references from literature, music, and movies that
were popular during the time the story takes place. In the beginning of the story, the narrator
explains how he and his friends are dangerous characters (144). He says We were nineteen. We
were bad. We read Andre Gide and struck elaborate poses to show that we didn t give a shit about
anything. At night we went up to Greasy Lake (144). Andre Gide was a controversial French writer
whose novels...often show individuals in conflict with accepted morality (144). Gide s work can be
seen as an investigation of freedom and empowerment... ( Andre Gide ) It is interesting that the

An Abortion in the Poem, The Mother by by Gwendolyn Brooks
The poem The Mother by Gwendolyn Brooks is about the aftereffects and feelings that come
from an abortion. The woman in the poem shows remorse over the children she aborted earlier
in her life and regrets that she gave up the chance to be a mother to them. This poem, while about
a woman who chose to have abortions, still carries with it a clear pro life message. The woman in
the poem is clearly someone who feels guilt over the abortions she has had. She shows her regrets
through describing what someone will never be able to do after having an abortion. In this she
includes the bad things that mothers can do like, You will never neglect or beat/Them, or
silence or buy with a sweet, as well as those acts that people commonly associated as maternal
such as protecting the children from imaginary ghosts, You will never wind up the sucking
thumb/Or scuttle off ghosts that come. Then she switches the style she uses and instead of
talking about what happens if a person in general has an abortion, she starts to talk about herself
and her own experiences. She feels haunted by these unborn children of hers, shown from the
line, I have heard in the voices of the wind the voices of my dim killed children. These voices that
she hears aren t real and nobody but her can hear them. This is her guilt over having the abortions
manifesting itself in her mind. The wind is a metaphor for the guilt because on some days, guilt can
be stronger, more assertive, and affects her more than

Sexism In Barbie Doll
In the poem Barbie Doll by Marge Piercy portrays the sexism that is placed upon women from an
early age. Stereotyping their role in society as a mother, homemaker, or a pretty object.
Mentioning in her poem the gifts of dolls, stoves and irons, and make up to make her point. The
title of the poem Barbie Doll automatic gives the reader a sense of what the meaning of the poem
is about. In her poem she raises the question of what is acceptable beauty in today s society. In
society views, beauty is symbolized in the figure of a Barbie doll. Tall, thin, with perfect features.
Even thou a woman may possess other qualities as mentioned in the poem, the words healthy,

Lilies of the Field
Lilies of The Field is a book written by William Barrett. Mr. Ralph Nelson, a producer, was
introduced to this book by his agent Fred Ingles. Ralph Nelson was so intrigued by this story that
he wanted to put it on film. Finally after much negotiation it was brought to the silver screen in
1963 by Mr. Ralph Nelson with a very low budget. With determination and tenacity Mr. Nelson
achieved his dream. The entire film was shot in fourteen days! Incredibly, the picture was
nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Additionally, Lilies of the Field
achieved motion picture history as Sidney Poitier was awarded the Best Actor Oscar, marking the
first time in history an Academy Award was awarded to a black man. Choosing this... Show more

Throughout all of the negotiations, there is an underlying spiritual undertone which drives the
negotiation on both sides. There are ethical issues and spiritual issues which motivate the
outcome of each negotiated battle. They both have needs and wants, and it becomes a battle
which often may be directed by the notion of God himself. During the first negotiated moment
the process standard is clear, Mother Maria is the dominate negotiator, she is strong, forthright
and determined. She easily overpowers Mr. Schmidt as she refers to him, into staying and fixing
their roof. Mr. Smith gives in and accepts her offer because he is in need of gas money. His
thoughts and needs are simple; he wants gas money so that he can be on his way. Mr. Smith
considered her deal as a win win for himself. He realizes that his needs will be considered
therefore, he assumes he will benefit from this agreement. Mother Maria, on the other hand, needs
Mr. Smith to stay on longer she wants him to build a church chapel. Mr. Smith agreed to fix the
roof for monetary compensation. Mother Maria agreed that he would be compensated after the
work is done. Unfortunately, Mother Maria withheld information; she didn t have any money to
pay him, and she knew that. Ethics played a large role in my analysis of Mother Marias tactics. Of
course, she may have thought that she was doing the work of God; therefore, ethics was a non
issue. However in negotiations ethic is very important.

Personal Narrative-Alli
See how seriously I m taking this? Alli asks me as she lies down on our faded, torn brown couch
as she casually spills the secrets of her past to me, I feel like you re my counsellor, she jokes. Her
long curly red hair rests over her colourful 1950 s vintage dress. Obviously, she is a stark contrast
to our dull living room surroundings. Multiple intricate tattoos decorate her body and her bright
personality radiates off her. Alli s teen years were spent in an international boarding school in
Borneo, South East Asia, shaping her into the strong minded, independent 25 year old women that
she is today. After joining the wrong crowd, her parents confronted her with a life changing
choice fix yourself or disappear to boarding school. A few stubborn weeks later, at only 13 years...

Interpreting The Purpose Of The Constitution In The UK
Unlike many nations across the globe, Britain lacks a codified or a written constitution. Britain
relies on unwritten court judgements, conventions and acts of parliament as the constitution.
According to Packman, the constitution is a system of beliefs and laws that a nation uses to
govern. However, most people across the globe do not consider the UK to have a constitution. Yet,
in reality, UK does have a constitution the only difference is that its constitution is found in an
abstract form consisting of diverse conventions and practices laws, which have evolved over the
years. In fact, the key milestone of UK constitution entails the 1689 Bill of rights. Thus, in the
comparative sense, UK has an unmodified Constitution remembering the constitutional laws in the
UK are derived from Acts of Parliament, law reports, or court judgments. In essence, the unwritten
status of the British constitution gives it its distinguishing feature of the constitution.
Importance of constitutional principles
In regard to British Constitution, the aspect of separation of power is not supreme. For instance, the
three arms of the government are founded under the article of United States Constitution, which
give these arms distinct and essential power roles within the federal government. Basically, the key
objective of having three arms of government is to allow separation of power hence avoid
concentration of power to one branch of government. The U.S. Constitution states that the powers of

The Pros And Cons Of Ineffective Methods
Can you imagine going through the juvenile court system at age 15? Today, when kids commit
crimes at a young age, they can be tried as an adult, and serve adult sentences that could put them
in prison for a large part of their life. As you continue to read, you will learn about the effective and
ineffective ways that the court deals with today s youth.
Ineffective Methods Some of the most ineffective ways to deal with today s youth are the scared
straight program, boot camp (shock incarceration), and group homes. Boot camp is a youth
correctional program, where they enforce strict rules and have harsh punishments. A boot camp s
ineffectiveness is shown where it says, States have begun to consider new approaches to juvenile
offenders, backed by research showing that incarceration actually increases the chances a young
person will commit another crime (Source 3,1). This quote shows that boot camp does not serve its
purpose. When a juvenile goes into boot camp, it is not only ineffective, but it actually increases the
chances that the juvenile will commit another crime. Another method that has proven to be
ineffective is scared straight. Scared straight is a program in which juveniles go into an adult prison
to interact with inmates. One of the people from the Spokane county juvenile court system said that
if a good kid does something bad, then scared straight actually makes it more likely that the kid will
commit another crime (Source 5). This quote shows that scared

Test The Water Usage Of The Smart Agricultural System
To test the water usage of the smart agricultural system, data was collected for the three different
types of algorithms implemented for this project: timed based, reactive, and proactive control of the
environment. The timed based algorithm turns the water pump on based only on the time of the
day. The reactive algorithm turns the water pump on only if the soil moisture falls below a certain
threshold. The first two algorithms only consider one type of data for their algorithms, either time
or soil moisture. Comparatively, the proactive algorithm actively monitors the environmental
conditions to determine the best time to turn the water pump on. The proactive algorithm monitors
the soil moisture, temperature, humidity, pressure, time... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This can be compared to high temperatures of 22 degrees Celsius and low temperatures of 18
degrees Celsius in the indoor environment. The reduced temperature variation helps to protect the
plants from the extreme weather conditions that the proactive, smart algorithm is able to
compensate for. However, since extreme environments would be difficult to reproduce accurately,
this factor was not considered for this test. Additionally, because the temperature variation would be
applied equally to each of the environments, it was deemed a non significant factor for the purposes
of this test.
Rain however, was deemed a significant factor for this test. This test is centered on the water
usage of the system and as a result, it is important to see the effect of rain on the system. To
accurately simulate rain, 20mL of water was dispensed to each of the environments on the 3rd day
of the test. The water was dispensed using a measuring cup containing the set amount of water. The
weather data was also spoofed to change the weather status to rain. This was accomplished by
replacing the weather JSON file that would have been requested from openweather.org, with a fake
weather JSON file with the spoofed values. Finally, it should be noted that the sensor module
pushes new data to the Webserver at a rate of one packet every minute. Since the Webserver only
updates the turn water on command when new data is

Miss Peregrine s Home For Peculiar Children
Miss Peregrine s Home for Peculiar Children is a science fiction novel that was presented to the
reading world in 2011 by Ransom Riggs. This year the characters of Riggs s novel made their way
to the big screen under the direction of Tim Burton. While critics rave about the wonders of Burton
s skills to transform the novelinto a believable reality, I have some other views. My views dig past
the screen and break apart the struggles and decisions Burton made while directing. While I agree
with Hoffman, who noted this film is Tim Burton s best in 20 years (2016), there are some scenes
that left me confused and upset. To begin breaking down the adaptation, it must first be placed in a
category. This category tells us which form of adaptation it is and what we can expect under these
circumstances. I, personally, categorize this as a pluralist adaptation. During my screening of the
film, I spent a good chunk of my timelooking for the analogies and similarities between the two.
This made it much easier to pick out the differences that lead me to conclude that the adaptation
was pluralist in nature. I also noticed how the film stuck quite closely to the novel s spirit, this
made the film more inviting and accurate. Riggs himself said in an interview that [Burton] took the
ideas I had and made them bigger and more vibrant than I d imagined (Riggs, 2016). Another
characteristic of the film that made it a pluralist adaptation is how much it exists as its own
production; yet many

Real Time Pcr Detection Of Hiv Viral Load
Real time PCR detection of HIV viral load
Introduction:
HIV, the Human Immunodeficiency Virus is a lentivirus which is responsible for HIV infection and
eventually causes AIDS.
It s assumed that the virus has been in existence since 1930 but it s still unclear that how the virus
came into existence. There are two kinds of HIV virus, HIV 1 which causes more severe disease
and the source of transmission is a chimpanzee species Pan troglodytes whereas HIV 2 is
transmitted by Cercocebus atys, a monkey found in West Africa (Norris, 2011).
HIV binds to the CD4+ T cells because it needs CD4+ receptor to penetrate into cells. The virus
transcribes its RNA into cDNA and then integrates its DNA into the host DNA and replicates
further. It uses the DNA of CD4+ T lymphocytes and eventually ends up destroying them (Roberts,
2008). Once it weakens the immune system, the body becomes vulnerable to various diseases and
is exposed to life threatening diseases known as opportunistic infections. A population of over 35
million people have HIV/AIDS and Sub Saharan Africa constitutes half of the population
(AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, 2014). Figure 1. A statistical map showing the number of
people infected with HIV/AIDS (Who.int, 2013).
The HIV Infection progresses through a number of stages. As shown in Figure 2. The acute
infection stage is associated with a rapid increase of the viral copies up to several millions per ml
with a slow decline in the CD4+ T cells. During the first few weeks

Cleopatra as a Historical Figure Essay
Cleopatra as a Historical Figure
In hieroglyphs, the name reads Kleopadra . It is a name which in Greek means Glory of Her
Race (Weigall, 44). It is a name belonging to a woman who has transcended the boundaries of
time so that we may know her story. What better way to describe Cleopatra, the last Queen of
Egypt, Ruler of the Nile, sent from the Gods themselves to lead her people, than Glory of Her Race
? Cleopatra, the last ruling descendant of the Ptolemaic Dynasty, has arguably unparalleled fame as
a female historical figure.
Yet we must ask ourselves: why? What is it about this individual that strikes us as so intriguing that
we, like the Elizabethans before us, centuries ago, like the Romans two millennia past, should ...

Shakespeare s play, Antony and Cleopatra, shows this juxtaposition of the East and West as well,
especially through the characters in the play. The opulence and sensuality of the East is
personified by Cleopatra, whereas the moral solidity and observance of duty is beheld in Octavius.
Mark Antony is torn between the two ideals, his duty as a Roman, and his obvious desire to
indulge in the hedonistic way of the East.
This exoticness of Cleopatra leads to a general view of her, both by the Egyptian and Roman
populace, as having an other worldliness quality about, a strange mysticism. This is reinforced by
Cleopatra s constant referral of herself as Isis, one of the more powerful Egyptian goddesses.
Cleopatra is said to ...have attired herself...that which was supposed... to have been worn by the
mother deity Isis (Weigall, 45). By identifying herself with a goddess, Cleopatra is merely
continuing the custom that the Pharaohs of old used to practice. Isis, whose Latin epithet, Stella
Maris, means Star Of The Sea, is of particular importance to Cleopatra not only because she is an
extremely strong, religious image of feminine power, but she is also often depicted as a
personification of the throne itself, thus

Total Eclipse Annie Dillard Summary
Based on Annie Dillard s account of witnessing a total eclipse in her essay Total Eclipse I would
have to say she definitely encourages her readers to witness a total eclipse. She says that it is
almost the opposite of a partial eclipse, which I am sure most people have seen many times
before, that s how different they are and I believe most people including myself think partial
eclipses are spectacular and almost dreamlike. The opening line in Total Eclipse is It had been
like dying, that sliding down the mountain pass (477). Annie Dillard is describing traveling
through the mountains and down into the Yakima Valley and how she feels this place is so
strange because it is all new to her. This gives you an idea of Annie Dillard s... Show more content

It bears almost no relation to seeing a total eclipse as [...] flying in an airplane does to falling out
of an airplane (480). As I have both flown in an airplane and fallen out of a perfectly good
airplane and deeply enjoyed the latter it makes me think that one like myself, an adventurous
adrenaline seeker, would really like to see a total eclipse. It would be a totally new experience,
anyone would want to experience something so out of the ordinary. One thing Dillard says that
could impact the reader s feelings about seeing a total eclipse would be how she says God save
us (482). What does Dillard want to be saved from, before this she is describing the movement of
the sun into the final phase of the total eclipse almost as if she is dieing because all the colors
around her are changing, turning from green to black and gray because of the lack of sun. Why
would Dillard ask God to save her? Is she scared because this total eclipse is unknown to her
having never experienced it? Some people might say why would I want to see something that is
related to something like death, and I believe that one would want to witness such an event
because death is something you can only participate in once because after you have you are only
existent in people s memories. Inquisitiveness would overrule any other feeling for many people
and would be a point to fortify that the reader would want to see a total eclipse even more so
because the experience of

Income Distribution and Economic Growth in LDC s Essay Income Distribution and Economic Growth in LDC s INTRODUCTION In recent years, one of the major concerns of economic development is the study of poverty, the income distribution and growth in the less developed countries (LDC s) or Third World countries. Economists from all over the world have been doing researches and studies on how to induce a growth in those underdeveloped countries. The major concern of the policies would be the approach to provide human basic needs (HBN) for each and every one of the people in the country. In nearly all of the LDC s, majority of the people are living under absolute poverty. This means that they are not able to provide a standard level of living for themselves. Different policies to improve the income inequality and also procure an economic growth include land reform, redistribution of saving and investment, education for all, progressive taxation, public expenditures from tax revenues and birth control. Some people think that there existed a trade off between growth and equity. They think that distributing income too equally would undermine incentives and thus lower everyone s income. They believed that the rich needed special encouragement to save and invest more in order to cause a growth in the economy. Recent evidence suggests that this conventional wisdom is wrong. • 11. Essay On The Debates Between Abraham Lincoln And Stephen... Archaeologists have traditionally viewed the list of seven debates between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen A. Douglas through the 1858 Illinois state voting campaign as amongst the most important declarations in American imperial history. Those concerns they addressed were not only of crucial significance to the regional dispute over states rights and slavery but also covered deeper into issues that would proceed to change political dialogue. What is usually neglected is that these contests were a component of the comprehensive campaign, that they were intended to achieve some main policy objectives, and that they showed the features of mid nineteenth century political speech . Douglas, being part of Congress as from 1843 and a famous nationwide spokesperson for the Democratic body, was contesting for another election for a third season in the Senate, whereas Lincoln was vying for the same seat as a Republican1. Due to Douglas s political development, the campaign captivated nationwide attention. Despite the fact that senators were selected by the state parliaments until 1913, Lincoln and Douglas took their contentions straight to the citizens. • 14. The Doctrine Of Freedom Of Contract The particular focus of this essay is on how terms are implied. This is central because the courts intervene and impose implied terms when they believe that in addition to the terms the parties have expressly agreed on, other terms must be implied into the contract. Gillies argued that the courts have become more interventionist in protecting the rights of contracting parties thereby encroaching upon the notion of freedom of contract. The doctrine of freedom of contract is a prevailing philosophy which upholds the idea that parties to a contract should be at liberty to agree on their own terms without the interference of the courts or legislature. Implied terms can be viewed as a technique of construction or interpretation of contracts. It has been argued that the courts are interfering too much in their approach to determine and interpret the terms of a contract. The aim of this essay is to explore this argument further and in doing so consider whether freedom of contract is lost due to courts imposing implied terms. The essay will outline how the common law implies terms. The final part of the essay will examine whether Parliament, by means of a statute, or terms implied by custom restrict freedom in a contract. An overall conclusion on the issue will be reached. On the one hand it is evident that terms implied at common law can be implied in law or implied in fact . Terms implied as a matter of fact are said to give effect to unexpressed intentions of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, it is clear that the narrator suffers from insomnia, anxiety, and depression very early in the film. The narrator attempts to combat these symptoms in a number of ways, however, the only way that he has found to be effective is by attending support groups on a nightly basis. The narrator soon creates an alter ego (though we do not know he is his alter ego until the end of the film) named Tyler Durden. Durden is more attractive, has a better physique, and is overall more confident than the narrator and Durden regularly takes control of the narrator without the narrator s knowledge to carry out tasks that the narrator does not believe he has the power to accomplish. This use of dissociation is a defense mechanism used by the narrator to remove himself from situations that may produce anxiety. The narrator has many instances in which he is not able to recollect things that happened that day or in previous days, such as having sexual relations with Marla (the narrator envisions Tyler having sexual relations with Marla, while it is him having sexual relations with Marla). However, it is difficult to reason through whether or not he is having these memory lapses due to a true dissociative identity disorder (DID) or perhaps due to physical trauma that was sustained through his fighting. Understanding The Core Variables That Affect Our Lives Essay Aging, although a quite evasive and rather frightening thought, is an inevitable process that occurs to every form of life, regardless of genetic makeup or origin, and it is a fundamental mechanism in which our universe/cosmos is able to fuel itself with and ultimately flourish on. It is simply invariable, in order for there to be creation and rebirth, there needs to be the set process that eventually leads to death and reconversion in a perpetual system/method of sustenance. Understanding the core variables that affect these processes are essential because they allow us to gain a deeper insight into what it means to age, both physically and mentally, but more importantly, how to live our current lives to ensure a happy, gratifying, and fuller existence. For my Aging Process assignment, I have chosen to interview my grandfather Joe Pacheco. He is a currently retired man who is approximately 84 years of age, and presently resides in sunny Thousand Oaks, California. Private insurance companies can inflate the price of their service if they desire. A universal healthcare system prevents that because it is run by the government.[2] I personally understand health care cost, and spending is a major concern for our society. Many governments around the world have established all embracing health care, which takes the burden of health care expenses off of private businesses or individuals through pooling of financial possibility. There are tons of arguments for universal health care, and related health care practices. Health care is an important part of health systems, and therefore, it often accounts for one of the largest areas of high spending for both governments and individuals all over the world. For example, medical debt is now a leading cause of personal bankruptcy in the United States. A policy should be created to help lower the cost of health care.2 One way that would help improve health care spending is to create a universal health care to make sure everyone is covered. By creating this, it will help decrease the number of lobbyers which in turn will cut government funding to those special interest groups. There are 45 million Americans uninsured and according to CNN report, 45,000 Americans die each year due to lack of affordable health care. There is a very great variety as to the degree of fear and trouble that persons are exercised with before they obtain any comfortable evidence of pardon and acceptance with God. Fearis something that can result into a persons reaction or inaction. An example of this is Fight or flight this was first described in the 1920s by American physiologist Walter Cannon. The fight or flight response, or the acute stress response, refers to a physiological reaction that occurs in the presence of something that is terrifying, either mentally or physically. The response is triggered by the release of hormones that prepare your body to either stay and deal with a threat or to run away to safety. The fight or flight response realized that a chain of rapidly occurring reactions inside the body helped to mobilize the body s resources to deal with threatening circumstances.Today the fight or flight response is recognized as part of the first stage of Hans Selye s general adaptation syndrome, a theory describing the stress response. • 34. Government As A Market Economy 1.What do you think about the role of government in a market economy? Do you think government should intervene in a market economic system? Why? Explain. The government plays a critical role in a market economy, for it establishes the strategies of providing key services, redistribution, regulation and subdivision. Concerning provision, the government plays the role of providing public goods and services such as national security, which is imperative for a stable economy. Within the American economy for example, the Lorenz curve provided information towards the existence of unequal distribution of income. By carrying out redistribution therefore, the government will be making distribution of income and other important resources less unequal (Gregory et al, 2004). By carrying out regulation within a market economy, the government will be setting grounds for a free and fair market, which is the foundation upon which a stable economy operates. Over and above, I harbor the perception that the government should intervene in a market economic system, for such a strategy guarantees that, the ideal monetary and fiscal policies are in place to prevent the market from fluctuations. 2.What are the proprietorship business organizations and corporations? Gail 26 Why Would I Experience Nausea in Pregnancy? Nobody can say exactly what causes nausea during pregnancy. However, it is probably a combination of the many changes your body is going through and some of the possible causes could include: $Estrogen: The hormone estrogen increases rapidly during early pregnancy and may contribute to feelings of nausea. $Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG): This hormone also increases during early pregnancy, and especially if the pregnancy is with twins. While not much is known about its contribution to nausea, the timing suggests that it might increase a mother s sensitivity to it. $Enhanced Sensitivity to Odors: It s very common for pregnant women to be overwhelmed by certain odors. • 39. The Early Christian Doctrine Of The Trinity The doctrine of the Trinity is the study of who God is, what God is like, how God works, and how God is to be approached (Erickson). God as Trinity was established by the dogma of the ancient Church and defends the central faith of the Bible and the Church (Grenz). The Christian doctrine of the Trinity states that there is One Godwho is three divine persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I will describe how the early Christian church came to its understanding of God as Three in One. Although the Bible does not clearly teach the Trinitarian view of God, it (Erickson) does provide an understanding of God as Three in One. In the Old Testament, God refers to Himself in the plural (e.g., Gen 1:26, 3:22, 11:7; Isa 6:8) which could suggest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is important to address prayer to each member of the Trinity, in accordance with the purpose of the prayer and the role of each Trinitarian person. Each Trinitarian person is fully divine so we need to address each member of the Trinity in prayer and worship. We need to address prayers of worship to the Father (e.g. Luke 11:2; Matthew 6:9) so that we can praise and thank Him for sending His Son. We need to address certain prayers of worship to the Son because of His wiliness to come and give His life for us (e.g. Phil 2: 9 10). Although there is no biblical reference to prayer being addressed to the Holy Spirit, we can also address certain prayers to the Holy Spirit, although it is also appropriate to ask the Father to make the Holy Spirit present in our lives. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to pray and when we pray in the Spirit, we are being guided by the Spirit (Acts 11:12; Acts 13:2). The poem starts with a boy running away frantically from the old woman (presumably a family member), who is trying to whip him. Hayden uses vivid language to describe the ensuing chase where the boy pleads in dusty zinnias as the woman pursues and corners him (Hayden). Hayden intentionally crafts vivid imagery of a terrifying pursuit to emphasize just how horrible a whipping is, and shows the fear struck in the whipped. Once she catches him she whips him till the stick breaks causing the to cry, which are rainy weather to wound like memories (Hayden). This leads into a new viewpoint where the speaker ... • 44. Crime And Punishment, By Fyodor Dostoevsky Crime and Punishment, written by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky; is a philosophical crime fiction novel. The story is very powerful in that it goes beyond the book and into the lives of the audience; making the audience feel some type of relation between themselves and the story. Dostoevsky was brilliant in creating a fictional world where the characters seem to be found within the audience, transitioning from a fictional story to a self help book. He employes many life lessons in the story, which give the audience a new perspective on themselves. In the book Crime and Punishment, I personally, see myself as Raskolnikov. I feel that his view of the world is similar to mine in that we both are somewhat disgusted by our fellow man, and that we have little faith in humanity. We are also similar in that we both feel as if we are alienated from society in a way. I think that the book has given me an extensive understanding about myself, in that I now realize that it is unhealthy to be prideful because you end up exploding with pent up emotions. Raskolnikov has shown me that although we are set in our ways, there is always room to change for the better. If I could meet Dostoevsky I would ask him what his inspiration for Crime and Punishment was. Sometimes I wonder if the novelwas written to give us insight to how Dostoevsky felt about the world. The woman in the poem shows remorse over the children she aborted earlier in her life and regrets that she gave up the chance to be a mother to them. This poem, while about a woman who chose to have abortions, still carries with it a clear pro life message. The woman in the poem is clearly someone who feels guilt over the abortions she has had. She shows her regrets through describing what someone will never be able to do after having an abortion. In this she includes the bad things that mothers can do like, You will never neglect or beat/Them, or silence or buy with a sweet, as well as those acts that people commonly associated as maternal such as protecting the children from imaginary ghosts, You will never wind up the sucking thumb/Or scuttle off ghosts that come. She feels haunted by these unborn children of hers, shown from the line, I have heard in the voices of the wind the voices of my dim killed children. Britain relies on unwritten court judgements, conventions and acts of parliament as the constitution. According to Packman, the constitution is a system of beliefs and laws that a nation uses to govern. However, most people across the globe do not consider the UK to have a constitution. Yet, in reality, UK does have a constitution the only difference is that its constitution is found in an abstract form consisting of diverse conventions and practices laws, which have evolved over the years. In fact, the key milestone of UK constitution entails the 1689 Bill of rights. Thus, in the comparative sense, UK has an unmodified Constitution remembering the constitutional laws in the UK are derived from Acts of Parliament, law reports, or court judgments. In essence, the unwritten status of the British constitution gives it its distinguishing feature of the constitution. Importance of constitutional principles In regard to British Constitution, the aspect of separation of power is not supreme. For instance, the three arms of the government are founded under the article of United States Constitution, which give these arms distinct and essential power roles within the federal government. Ineffective Methods Some of the most ineffective ways to deal with today s youth are the scared straight program, boot camp (shock incarceration), and group homes. Boot camp is a youth correctional program, where they enforce strict rules and have harsh punishments. A boot camp s ineffectiveness is shown where it says, States have begun to consider new approaches to juvenile offenders, backed by research showing that incarceration actually increases the chances a young person will commit another crime (Source 3,1). When a juvenile goes into boot camp, it is not only ineffective, but it actually increases the chances that the juvenile will commit another crime. This year the characters of Riggs s novel made their way to the big screen under the direction of Tim Burton. While critics rave about the wonders of Burton s skills to transform the novelinto a believable reality, I have some other views. My views dig past the screen and break apart the struggles and decisions Burton made while directing. While I agree with Hoffman, who noted this film is Tim Burton s best in 20 years (2016), there are some scenes that left me confused and upset. To begin breaking down the adaptation, it must first be placed in a category. This category tells us which form of adaptation it is and what we can expect under these circumstances. I, personally, categorize this as a pluralist adaptation. During my screening of the film, I spent a good chunk of my timelooking for the analogies and similarities between the two. This made it much easier to pick out the differences that lead me to conclude that the adaptation was pluralist in nature. I also noticed how the film stuck quite closely to the novel s spirit, this made the film more inviting and accurate. Riggs himself said in an interview that [Burton] took the ideas I had and made them bigger and more vibrant than I d imagined (Riggs, 2016). Real Time Pcr Detection Of Hiv Viral Load Real time PCR detection of HIV viral load Introduction: HIV, the Human Immunodeficiency Virus is a lentivirus which is responsible for HIV infection and eventually causes AIDS. It s assumed that the virus has been in existence since 1930 but it s still unclear that how the virus came into existence. There are two kinds of HIV virus, HIV 1 which causes more severe disease and the source of transmission is a chimpanzee species Pan troglodytes whereas HIV 2 is transmitted by Cercocebus atys, a monkey found in West Africa (Norris, 2011). HIV binds to the CD4+ T cells because it needs CD4+ receptor to penetrate into cells. The virus transcribes its RNA into cDNA and then integrates its DNA into the host DNA and replicates further. It uses the DNA of CD4+ T lymphocytes and eventually ends up destroying them (Roberts, 2008). Once it weakens the immune system, the body becomes vulnerable to various diseases and is exposed to life threatening diseases known as opportunistic infections. This exoticness of Cleopatra leads to a general view of her, both by the Egyptian and Roman populace, as having an other worldliness quality about, a strange mysticism. This is reinforced by Cleopatra s constant referral of herself as Isis, one of the more powerful Egyptian goddesses.
