keeping records in files and gather them in filling cabinets where the accumulate dust. A great deal
of routine administrative work in secondary school is still done manually. Today, in most countries,

In most Nigerian schools, officials and staff still go through the laborious exercise of manually
registering students, maintaining records of students‟ performance, keeping inventory list of
supplies, doing cost accounting, paying bills and printing reports. The huge man hour spent on
these exercises can be drastically reduced with IT technologies to enhance overall management
procedure. Thomas (1987), said that Computers bring great speed and accuracy to each of these
tasks, along with the convenience of storing large quantities of information on „small disks or
tapes‟ (P.5). For the purpose of this project, problems related to the management of information
regarding student and their academic work, including teachers and subjects is the matter of
concern. To alleviate these problems I have designed and developed a web based student
information system termed, Electronic Student Management System (E SMS) to automate the
management of information and essential administrative work regarding student registration,
maintaining records of students‟ performances, teachers, subjects and class managers in an
academic school year. E Student Management System Based on the nature and

Comparison Between My Last Duchess Ulysses Regarding...
Question : What is a dramatic monologue? Which of the two, in your opinion, is the stronger
dramatic monologue in Tennyson s Ulysses or Browning s My Last Duchess ?
Answer : Traditionally dramatic monologue is a lyrical poem in the form of speech spoken by a
single man. It is dramatic because it begins abruptly and in the development of its thought it takes
several sudden turns which impart dramatic dimension to the poem. In a dramatic monologue the
single speaker reveals his thoughts in the presence of a single silent listener or some silent
listeners. The speaker is not necessarily the poet himself though the speaker often gives out the
poet s belief and philosophy. The speaker s revelation, in fact, leads the readers to probe... Show

He tells them, you and I are old. These are the clues which lead us to believe that other mariners
are present but they do not speak. Telemachus presence is also felt. Tennyson here follows the
tradition of allowing one person to speak and keeping others silent. In My Last Duchess we see the
same thing. As the poem progresses, it becomes clear that only a single person speaks. The
speaker is the Duke of Ferrara who is talking about his dead Duchess portrait painted by Fra
Pandolf. At several points of the poem it becomes evident that there is a listener who remains
silent. For example, when the duke says Will t please you sit and look at her? or Will t you
please rise? we understand that someone is present around him. Later in the poem, we come to
know that he is an emissary for the second marriage of the Duke. Throughout the poem he does
not talk. But his reactions are revealed through the Duke s speech. For example, the clue to
understand the surprise in the emissary s face has been revealed by the Duke himself : so not
the first/ Are you to turn and ask thus. We know he does not ask anything but there has been a
question in his countenance. Tennyson reveals his heart s desire in Ulysses . This is another
aspect of dramatic monologue. He says he does not enjoy peaceful life at home, and so, he wants
to set out for new adventures. His inner thoughts have been revealed. However, the revelation is
very simple and plain. The speaker here is

This is not the case where Van has a significantly smaller AGI than his parents, the Dewey s. This
position was affirmed by H.R. 6893, that when parents may claim a qualifying child but do not and
another taxpayer may claim the qualifying child, that can only occur if that taxpayer s adjusted
gross income is higher than the highest adjusted gross income of either of the child s parents. In
summary, Van, doesn t qualify for head of household status on the basis of an individual who is a
taxpayer s dependent solely under В§152(d)(2)(H), which, under certain circumstances, treats as a

Lab Report On The Mass Of Actual Aspirin ( Acetylsalicylic...
Abstract: This experiment utilizes skills of titration in order to find the percent mass of actual
aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) in store bought aspirin. Two steps and two kinds of titrations are
used. First, approximately 0.1 M NaOH solution was standardized using titration with KHP. KHP
was used because it does not absorb moisture when it is stored, and it is soluble in water. The
reaction that takes place in this reaction is a 1:1 mole ratio reaction. The titrationdetermines the
volume of NaOH solution needed to completely react with the known amount of KHP. This
makes the calculation of molarity of NaOH solution fairly easy. The average molarity calculated
was 0.09897 M. The final part of the experiment is a titration to indicate the amount of
acetylsalicylic acid present in approximately 0.5 g of store bought aspirin. The volume of
0.09897 M NaOH solution indicated the moles of NaOH that reacted with the aspirin. The
reaction between NaOH and acetylsalicylic acid is a 1:1 mole ratio reaction. The calculated mass
of acetylsalicylic acid was 0.3963g. This was divided by the initial amount of aspirin measured
(0.4976g), and multiplied by 100 to give the percent mass. This value is 79.66%. This particular
experiment may not be very accurate. Specifically, only two standardization trials were counted.
This may cause a less accurate measurement of NaOH solution molarity, ultimately leading to an
inaccurate percent mass of acetylsalicylic acid.

Labyrinth Is A Play Written By Beth Steel
Labyrinth is a play written by Beth Steel and it was shown at the Hampstead Theatre in London.
The first thing I encountered when I entered the theatre was how big it was. The stage was in the
center of the theater, which makes it entertaining for the audience to enjoy it at any side. A unique
thing about the stage was that they use so much creativity on the floor. There were times where the
floor was turned into a staircase, and smoke was coming outfrom the floor to show what is on John
s mind. The stage was very relevant to the play, because it used quite often to help us comprehend
why John Anderson killed himself at the end of the play. Looking back at the production I saw in
October, something that made the set stood out was the trap doorin several of situations throughout
the play. For example, when they were transiting scenes at the office, they used the trap doorsas a
staircase for people that are working in the business. Also in the middle of the scene, Jonathan
wanted to kick his father out of his apartment and once when he was kicked out, he used the
trapped door from underneath. The trap door were unique, you see the characters going inside the
trap door then come out of the two steel doors that were on each side of the stage. Similar to the
trap doors, the two steel doors on each side of the set was unique too. Numerous of times in the
play, it was used as an entrance for John to negotiate a loan deal with Latin American countries.
Throughout the play, a

Trip To Haiti
In the fall of 2014 I was presented with the opportunity to go on a missions trip to Zambia. We
had a few meetings about this trip and interest grew. Next thing I knew it was March of 2015
and I was headed off to Haiti. Plans had changed but I could never have imagined what great
impact this would have on my life. Haiti is not know for much but it is known for being poor.
This might dissuade people from visiting, but for me it was exactly what I needed. We got to
Haiti and even in the airport saw the people desperate for money to feed themselves and their
families. We took a ten passenger plane up the mountain and as we flew we were able to see the
poverty in the towns below. There were houses made up of four corner poles with a tin roofs.
The destruction from the earthquake still had not been recovered from. In this moment I realized
how fortunate I was to have not been in the earthquake as well as for simple things like four walls.

Mandatory Sex Education Classes Essay
Arizona is rated the fourth highest state for teen pregnancy for ages 15 19 years old. For every
1,000 girls 70 teens are pregnant. Also, Arizona is ranked 16th highest state for syphilis, as well
as 11th highest state for chlamydia. In the state of Arizona, 406 people out of 100,000 have
reported consuming an STD. The average national rate of STD cases reported for every 100,000
people is 348 (Innes). From the look of these statistics the state of Arizona has a problem with
teen pregnancy and STD s. Lowering these rates will not only help the economy, but as well as
help the lives of the younger generation. A proven way to lower these terribly high rates is sex

A big opposition of sex education is for religious reasons. Along with the religious reasons most
parents are against sex education, because they believe that exposing children to sex at an early
age through a health education class will cause them to have sex earlier than they should (Why).
Parents do not want to put the thought of sex into their children s mind. Although, sex is already
a thought in a child s mind, it just is not understood. According to Eric Meyer, a board member of
the Scottsdale Unified School District, From a public health standpoint, this is the only place our
kids get this information. And if they opt out, they won t get it anywhere (Faller). While all
parents have concerns when it comes to their child and sex, bring provided with medically accurate
sex education is beneficial for the health and safety of the child.
A positive attribute to having sex education in all school curriculums, is that knowledge gained
from this class is completely accurate in the medical standpoint. In order for schools to teach sex
education, their curriculum has to be approved by the Arizona Department of Education. The
Department of Education consult with nurses and other medical associates to find and provide the
best, medically accurate sex education curriculum. Another aspect for the curriculum is different
myths of sex can be eliminated. For example, most teens believe that a girl cannot become pregnant

The Role Of Education In Waiting For Superman
One of Superman s famous quotes is, [The symbol] is not an S, on my world it means hope. Hope
represents the foundation on which children and adults cling to day by day. People all across
America wait for Superman to save them from the evils in their lives. For the children highlighted
in the documentary Waiting for Superman, hope is the only thing driving them to achieve a
commendable educationin today s failing school system. Davis Guggenheim, an American film and
tv director, produced this documentary in hopes of eliciting a worried response for the future of
education in the United States. He reflects the individual struggles of students as well as a general
view of the education system through animations and the overall structure of the documentary.
Guggenheim urges the audience to notice the system s detrimental aspects and take action in order
to save our prospective students.
Animation: a dynamic visual medium produced from static drawings, models, or objects posed in
a series of incremental movements that are then rapidly sequenced to give the illusion of lifelike
motion. Within the documentary, Guggenheim portrays clips of animation, specifically during
moments when a great amount of facts and statistics are presented. These clips are included within
the film to break up the scenes of real life footage. For example, Guggenheim uses hand drawn
images to make the claim that it is less expensive to send students to private schools than it is to
pay for inmates at

The Cooper-JACOB Time-Jacob Method
1.1AQUIFER PAREMETER ESTIMATION
The transmissivity and storativity was estimated using the Cooper Jacob (1965) time drawdown
and Theis (1935) recovery methods. The field data was uploaded into the FC program for Aquifer
Test Analysis (2014 version) which calculated the values for each method manually.
1.1.1COOPER JACOB TIME DRAWDOWN (1965)
Using the Cooper Jacob method the T and S value had been estimated for early and late time,
respectively, by plotting the best fitted straight line on the time drawdown plot (figure 18). The T
and S values are tabulated in table X. Borehole B2017 has been excluded from the plots as no
drawdowns have been measured. It should also be noted that UO 13 plot should be ignored as the
data obtained was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
UP 16 and UO 25 falls outside this range. The T during late time is very consistent, ranging
between 6.1 and 7.2 m2/d, for four of the six boreholes. UP 15 and UO 23 have high T value
indicating water influx from the matrix as well as fractures. The existences of fractures are
supported by EC profiling and flow characteristics.
1.1.2THEIS RECOVERY (1935)
The transmissivity of the eight boreholes was estimated by plotting the best fitted line on the Theis
plot. This was done using the FC program for Aquifer TestAnalysis (2014 version) which
produced the plots in figure 19. The transmissivity is tabulated in table. By comparing the
transmissivity estimated by Theis method to the transmissivity estimated by Cooper Jacob
method, the transmissivity corresponds moderately. According to Thies method the T ranges
from 22.4 to 54.8 m2/d with B2017 to have an exceptional high T of 111.0 m2/d. According
Cooper Jacob method the T ranges from 23.0 to 53.5 m2/d for early time and 6.1 to 28.0 m2/d for
late time. By applying the transmissivity standards (Gheorghe, 1978) six of the eight boreholes are
classified as low potential and two boreholes as moderate potential.
Since the test was done in a well in the Karoo Supergroup, it should be noted that the Theis method
tent to measure errors during the drawdown observed during the constant rate test, specifically
when the drawdown is measured manually (van Tonder et al., 2001a).

Essay On Timers
The use of counters and timers in PLCs has helped increase the efficiency of manufacturing and
been of great importance. Timers and counters have been used outside plcs for a long time have
shown themselves to be of great help. There use inside plcs has helped reduce space and the many
of the complications of hardwiring. First, let s start out with the Ton timer. Ton timers were first
used in plcs in the slc 500s. For all timers, there are three bits. The enabled bit, timer timing bit, and
the done bit. On a Ton timer, the enable bit activated when there is a path of true conditions
energizing the timer. The timer timing bit is activated when the timer is energized, and the timer is
timing up to the preset. Lastly, the done bit energizes... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What has changed greatly is when the timer timing and down bits energize and de energize. The
timer timing bit for an TOF timer energizes when the timer loses a path of true conditions. This
can be useful for if this timer is put in parallel with a load and you want a device to run for a set
amount of time after the load has de energized. With there use the allow for the simplifying of a
program and more ease of understanding. Furthermore, the done bit energizes as soon as the timer
energizes. When the timers accumulative value reaches its preset the done bit de energizes
opposite of the TON and the RTO. Next, there are counters and their functions. There are two
types of counters the count up and the count down. Like timers, they have a done bit. It works
exactly the same as it did when used in timers. Unlike timers though counters also have count up
and count down bits. When the counter is energized, depending on which counter is being
activated, the counter will add or deduct one number from the accumulative value. It will only add
one number for each false to true transition. Count up timers can be used to reach a specific
amount of material or objects. Using a count down and a count up timer together in a program with
the same address is very useful. One counter will count during a certain set of conditions up and the
other down with its

How I Learned Throughout The Semester And Why It Helped Me...
My journey through this semester was very knowledgeable and interesting experience. From
learning about musical techniques and applying it to my songwriting process, it helped me become
a better songwriter. Throughout this reflection, I want to discuss the things I learned throughout the
semester and why it helped my as a songwriter.
Before taking this course, I used to just sing my songs, but never used to write them down.
Throughout, the course I learned that it s important to work on your songs even if it s working
on part of it. Taking time to improve you songs is already a step forward. Starting from lesson
two, I learned the importance of having a strong premise. I found this very useful because then
you have an idea of what your song is going to be about. You start thinking of emotion and
storyline you want to write in the lyrics. For example, if you premise is about heartbreak, then the
lyrics will be about a relationship, with maybe a sad piano accompaniment. Another interesting
thing I learned about lesson two was the articles we read about techniques for finding ways to be
inspired when writing a song. The article that was very useful was Finding Inspiration. From this
article, a technique that I found useful was to write music about yourself or experiences. I found
this to be a common thing for songwriters, according to the book we read In their Own Words,
which was very interesting to read, I found that most of the famous songwriters, for example Dolly

Bone Dissection Essay
The skeletal system is made up of cartilage and bone. Both bone and cartilage are connective
tissues, that is, they are composed of cells in a matrix with intracellular fibers. Just imagine
connective tissue as a gelatin salad with grapes and coconut. The grapes would represent cells, the
gelatin the support material for matrix, and the pieces of coconut the intracellular fibers. By
changing the amounts of each ingredient and adding extra substances, we can produce a material
that is very hard like boneand can withstand weight or softer like cartilagewhich can be used as a
cushioning material. In this exercise, we will examine a fresh raw chicken bone to study bone
structure. Materials

Compact bone looks dense and solid, yet it is filled with passageways that serve as conduits for
nerves, blood vessels, and lymphatic vessels (Marieb, 181). When observing the spongy bone, I
noticed that it appeared dark and porous. It was flexible. The compact bone made up the majority
of the chicken leg and was difficult to pierce with the knife. The spongy bone had a dark gray
/blackish color.
2. How does cartilage differ from bone? How did each one feel when pierced with the knife?
Cartilage doesn t contain any nerves or blood vessels and is surrounded by a layer of dense
irregular connective tissue, the perichondrium (Marieb, 176). Bones contain various types of tissues
which makes them organs. They are used for support, protection, movement, mineral storage, and
blood cell formation (Marieb, 178 179). The cartilage was tough and flexible, and it was difficult to
cut through. The bone, however, when I finally was able to cut through it, had blood within it. This
proves that bone is the site for blood formation. The bone was more difficult to cut through than the
cartilage.
3. How did the periosteum and endosteum differ in thickness? The periosteum seemed thicker
because it was more difficult to peel away from the chicken leg. The endosteum wasn t that
difficult to pull away from the spongy bone. So based on what I saw, I believe the periosteum is
thicker than the endosteum. 4. Was the bone

Bruce Dawe Analysis
How often do we feel frustrated at how people are treated?
How many times do we feel stressed and stretched by the insane demands of the modern world (and
what it expects of us).Ladies and gentlemen these questions can be confronted through the poetry of
mid 19th century Australian Bruce Dawe as the concepts he explores sare universal relating to a
wide audience throughout all time hence appealing to our contemporary audience today. Dawe s
poems Enter so much without as knocking and Homecoming explores the ideas of the bustle and
stress of modern life, the intrusion of media which fragments our social relations the emotional
trauma of family and the senseless nature of war through the dehumanization of soldiers.I am
professor Jessica Galazzo of literature at the University of Canberra and I today present to you, the

connection to a contemporary audience.
Dawe s poem Enter without so much as knocking confronts us with bustles and stresses of modern
day life many aspects of which, which corrupts our childhood innocence acknowledging Dawes
powerful link to a contemporary audience. The turmoil of the persona during their birth and

The Secret Life Of Jay Gatsby
The Secret Life of Jay Gatsby
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is meticulously written to portray characters as soul
sucking, money thriving, moral lacking individuals who are thrashed by his language, and
scrupulous descriptions. Gatsby is depicted as a suave, cordial, and prosperous gentleman who
is trying to raise himself in the ranks of riches, and approval. At first glance, it is hard to tell if
there is a clear hero, or someone with qualities thereof; at least in the traditional sense. We have
Gatsby as a tragic hero, or as close as you could come to one. I will analyze his background, fatal
flaw, and the tragic fall to defeat.
James Gatz, a man of youth at the time, came to the realization that he no longer wanted to be the
offspring of homesteaders, or poverty stricken. He was a common man of the time, one of no
recognition throughout society. That is, until Dan Cody plucked him out of his old self, which
was a skin he was already starting to shed, and rapidly sets him into his new persona: Jay Gatsby.
Nick shares the truth was that Jay Gatsby of West Egg, Long Island, sprang from his Platonic

Describe briefly the function and composition of blood.
Blood is a red fluid that contains a complex mixture of cells suspended in a liquid matrix which
is transported (circulated) throughout the body by the circulatory system of an organism. It
circulates around the body by the heart and delivers oxygen and other important nutrients to
cells of organs and tissues, while at the same time, removing waste product from our body.
Blood is located in almost every part of our body, which is due to the network of blood vessels
called the circulatory system. It is circulated through the body s heart, arteries, veins and
capillaries (tiny vessels that connect arteries and veins). In order for blood to carry out its
functions, it needs to circulate all over our body to all living cells and tissues which it does
through the support of the heart that pumps blood throughout our entire body). Thus, it is the fluid
of life, a vital life force that all humans need in order to live and sustain life.

Compare And Contrast Greek Culture Vs American Culture
1. The Greeks had similarities and differences compared to traditional American s and our
culture. Similar to Americans, Greeks were a very entertainment based culture. They had plays,
music, and texts to pass their free time, all of which most Americans typically experience in a
day. Cities and towns existed, with city states serving almost like today s capitals of each state.
Farming played a big part in their culture, which is shared with America, as farming continues to
be a trade that is necessary, no matter what age. A military existed to protect their society, like
America has. Religion was relatively relaxed as a subject in Greece, where they didn t really think
care too much about which gods or goddesses you worshiped a trait somewhat

The Impacts Of Cultural Tourism In Cuba, Cuban, Cuba
Mindless, repetitive locals performing once sacred and revered ceremonies now on a daily basis is
nothing tourists think about when they vacation to culturally preserved areas, yet this unintended
cultural destruction is unfortunately the blatant truth. Due to recent travel restrictions lifted by
President Barack Obama, Cubais now open to American citizens to vacation. Whether for the better
or worse, new tourismwithin a previously undisturbed area such as Havana, Cuba, is liable to have
significant effects on the social, economical, and environmental aspects of their culture.
Past relations between the United States and Cuban government have been less than favorable.
After the Cuban revolution, the island established a communist government, therefore angering the
United States as they were fighting foreign wars in an attempt to end communism. In 1961, the
United States severed relations with the island, and since then have restricted travel to and from
Cuba. Recently, in 2015, President Barack Obama repealed the travel ban with Cuba, loosening up
trade and tourism between the two countries, but not ending their communist ways. This newly
accessible country now acts as a beacon to world travelers wanting to learn the ways of Cuban
lifestyle. Cuban culture revolves around everything from the people s lifestyle, to the economy, to
the natural ecosystem enveloping the island. This is called cultural tourism. This being said, this
poses a number of new issues for

The Application Of Hardware And Software
Introduction
Throughout the semester, the class was composed of lectures and recitations where we learn to use
MatLab, PSpice, and myDAQ. After ten recitations, we were assign a group project that
demonstrated the knowledge we had gained throughout the entirety of the course. Although we had
the option to choose from the following three detention circuits: a resistor thermistor voltage divider
circuit, a phototransistor resistor voltage divider circuit, or a standard PC microphone driving the
audioInput of the myDAQ, my group opted out towards the PC microphone detention circuit.
Within the PC microphone detention circuit, the microphone should have been able to detect three
different states of noise. The first state consists of the microphone detecting no noise, the second
state consists of the microphone detecting the presence of some noise, and the third state consists of
the microphone detecting a louder noise than usual.
The Implementation of Hardware and Software
For this project we used a smartphone and the myDAQ in order to make a detection circuit that
could detect no noise, low noise, and high noise. We first connected the myDAQ to the computer
and then plugged the myDaq with the smartphone, since the phone was the sound source. We then
created a new Blank VI project in LabView, we started by producing a while loop followed by
choosing acquire signals, analog input voltage, and finally selecting audioInputLeft and
audioInputRight. From there we chose analog

Effects Of Low Level Disruption On The Classroom
Findings from a recent Ofsted report have shown that low level disruption in the classroom is
causing pupils to potentially lose up to one hour of learning each day, and that this may have a
detrimental impact on their life chances (Ofsted, 2014). Difficulties managing behavior is a
commonly reported source of stress and burnout among teachers, and is resulting in a substantial
number leaving the profession within 5 years (Ford et al, 2012). Disruptive behaviour is not only
stressful for teachers, but it can be unsettling for pupils, can hinder pupils enjoyment of schooland
can prevent pupils from fulfilling their potential (Gorard, 2010). Although there has never been a
time when all pupils behaved well, all of the time (Viser, 2005), it is important that teachers have a
good understanding of the challenges they may face in the classroom, and are equipped with
effective strategies to help them manage classroom behaviour. After all, effective behaviour
managementand discipline in schools is a crucial to ensuring academic success and a positive and
safe learning environment (Luisellia et al, 2005).
In response to ongoing concern regarding behaviour management a wealth of research being
carried out and official documentation has been published, such as the Elton Report (DES, 1989)
and the Steer Report (DfES, 2005), on what works well in schools. Both reports hightlight that
teachers were most affected by the impact of relatively minor, but persistent, low level

When I Am A Wild Reader Analysis
I have never been asked what kind of reader I am before so I had to spend some time thinking about
that question before I started writing this paper. After evaluating what a wild reader is I can say for
myself that I do believe I am a wild reader. For example, when I read, I read a wide variety of books
that hop from genre to genre. One week I could be reading a sci fi novel, and the next I could be
reading a work about psychology. I am a straightforward reader, in the fact that if I don t like a
book or the style that something is written, I will express the way I feel towards it. As a matter of
a fact, I m very analytical with what I read. I like to analyze things and point out whatever might be

This book was an immense challenge to get through. From the get go, I found the main character,
Wade Watts, obnoxious and a bit pretentious. For example, Wade was having a conversation with
Nolan Sorrento, an official of Innovative Online Industries, and he said Do you mind skipping the
scare tactics and the head games? Just tell me the details of your offer. I have other matters to
attend to. (page 137), which I thought was pretty obnoxious. I found myself cringing at a lot of
the dialogue and character choices and it also had a very predictable ending. About 5 chapters
in, I started to keep a list of comments and questions that I had about the book and when I
finished reading, the list was over 3 pages long. I really enjoyed the concept of this publication
but I think the way it was executed was rushed and very clichГ©. Ready Player One has been the
most challenging book that I ve ever had to read in terms of my own personal liking to it. There
were many moments when I found myself vastly annoyed, and I rolled my eyes too many times

The Pros And Cons Of Racial Profiling
What is racial profiling? Racial Profiling refers to the discriminatory practice by law enforcement
officials of targeting individuals for suspicion of crime based on the individual s race, ethnicity,
religion or national origin (American Civil Liberties Union). There are certain races that face racial
profilingfrom law enforcement officials driving or in other important locations. Black races face
racial profiling especially when driving; law enforcement officials target black driver for minor
traffic violations. Spanish racemight be racial profile while walking or driving to search for illegal
drugs or guns. Since the attacks of September 11 2001, the Arab race and South Asian race has
faced many racial profiling from law enforcement and even regular people for any terrorist attack
that is taking place or any immigrant violation.

Not A Student Loan For College Essay
Abstract
The decision to attend college for most individuals yield promise of advancement in being able to
further one s learning, and assists with developing a marketable educational portfolio from an
institution of reputed academia. However, with the pursuit of obtaining a college degree from a
university, there are augmented concerns with student loans and repayment issues. In electing to
secure a student loan for college, prospective students or parents should realistically, forecast or
measure probable (anticipated) student debt. In particularly, with students aspiring to attend college,
several organizations or subsidiaries, and for profit institutions cash in on unknowledgeable
hopefuls contributing to the student loan debt dilemma/crisis (or student debt). The college costs
and financial constraints for student borrowing, if ill prepared will substantially effect students in
pre graduate or even post grad status. The findings suggest that there is eminence of the possibility
of default, with repayment behavior which effects long term financial outlook. In examining the
data on cumulative debt, number and characteristics of borrowers, types of institutions, and
repayment dynamics there are unsettles that arise in the gest of student borrowing. Keywords:

The first advantage the rainforest supplies the world with is oxygen. The trees and plants in the
rainforest supply the world with twenty percent of the worlds oxygen. The oxygen also benefits all
the animals that live in the rainforest. The second advantage that the rainforest gives to the world
is medicines that cannot be created or located anywhere else in the world. A majority of the plants
that the rainforest is able to grow, provides the medicines that the world is in need of. Some
examples of medicines that came from the rainforest are cortisone, neostigmine, and vinblastine.
Those medications have helped treat glaucoma, and even pediatric leukemia. The third advantage
that the rainforest provides for the world is the assistance in the water cycle. All of the leaves on
the trees in the rainforest shed water during photosynthesis and then that water is used to help with
the formation of clouds. A total of 50 80 of the moisture in the rainforests environment stays in the

Additionally, I learned about the efficiency of this store. According to Table1 and Table 2, the
customers who came at off peak time would spend about one minute and forty seconds on the
whole buying process, and the customers who came at peak time and waited behind four people
would spend about four minutes. It is no doubt that customers do not need to spend much time on

How The Roman Catholic Church s Stance On Peaceful...
Conversion in Medieval Iberia can invoke ambivalent feelings. Christians originally wanted to
convert Jews and Muslims through kind words and religious teachings from the Bible. This idea,
nevertheless, evolved over the centuries and Christians began converting non believers through
violence and compulsion. Also, even after individuals were converted, Christians did not fully trust
their motivations, and believed they would remiss into their old religions. While Marian miracles
did help alleviate these tensions, a number of vicious acts were committed against Jews and
Muslims during this time period. In this essay, I am going to examine the idea of conversion from
the Christian perspective, and how Christians were able to tempt Jews and Muslims to convert. I
am also going to compare the contradictory nature of converting through peaceful and violent
means. This comparison will showcase how the Roman Catholic Churchs stance on peaceful
conversion was overcome by local Christian communities. Conversion is the act of changing one s
religionto another religion. During the twelfth to fifteenth century in Medieval Iberia, a number of
Jews and Muslims converted to Christianity. To Christians, conversions represented the elimination
of dangerous enemies and the ongoing triumph of the new Israel. Christians viewed themselves as
the chosen people, as they believed that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save them, and formed a
new covenant, while the Jews spurned him and

Ottoman Empire Influence
The Ottomans were by far the greatest of the Muslim empires. It was the greatest in size and power,
and it lasted the longest out of the three Muslim empires. Altogether, the Ottoman empire had the
greatest influence and made the most contributions to world history. The Ottomans had a great
influence on religion. Although the Ottomans we officially Suni Muslims, they respected the non
Muslims as well. They basically gave religious tolerance to the Islams as long as they paid their
taxes. When it came to Christians, they gave them tolerance too but they did not have the same
amount of religious freedom as the Muslims. Because of their lenient religious policies, many Jews
fled to the Ottoman empireseeking a safe hold. The Ottoman empire was extremely diverse. Many
different cultures, ethnicities, languages, and religions were scattered throughout the Ottoman
Empire. One reason for this could be their location. The empire connected Africa, Europe, and Asia.
This meant that they had different influences and ideas coming from all over. They also had good
trade and technology because they had access to three continents. The Ottoman Empire was so
great because of the exchange of ideas to and from different continents that surrounded them.

Character, Morals, Integrity Essay
Character, Morals, Integrity
Morals, character, integrity, what do these words mean....actually, the question is, do you have
them. A man named Dwight Moody once said, Character is what you are in the dark. You cannot
see your morals, character, or integrity, these are only shown as your values. Someone could only
show their own values, which are very important to themselves and everyone else. Integrity is the
firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values. The way you show your integrity,
character, and morals or how they are effect you in either a negative or positive way. There are
many causes to how your values are. So as you know, integrity is very important and it is important

Laura stated, integrity effects you by either being honest or not. If you are honest, then you have
integrity. People who say that they are going to do something do it. You can now see that character,
morals, and integrity are very important.
Secondly, people may think that their values may not affect them, but they re wrong, they affect
them a lot. Since character describes how you are and what your moral strengths are, having bad
character could make people dislike you because of how you are. On the other hand, if you have
good character, then more people would see how good of a person you are and even more
people would like you. Morals sort of describe the way you make decisions, so having bad morals
could guide your life down the drain, while having good morals could guide your life minute by
minute toward noble goals. Integrity is also very important. Having bad integrity could make you
very non trustworthy to others. Having good integrity would make you very trustworthy to others.
Knowing how important they are, you should always have good or even better character, morals,
and integrity.
Also, there are many causes for how your character, morals, and integrity are. One cause could of
course be yourself. By hanging out with the right people and making good decisions, you could
have good values. Yet hanging out with the wrong people and making bad decisions would be
having bad values. Another cause may

The Common Long Term Complications Of Diabetes Mellitus
One of the most common long term complications of diabetes mellitus is painful neuropathy.
Diabetic neuropathy is estimated to affect about 60 70% of all diabetes patients and can lead to
foot ulcers, amputations, and decreased quality of life. The most common form is chronic
peripheral neuropathy which results in painand numbness in the extremities, usually described as a
burning, tingling, or steady aching pain.1 Patients may also feel increased sensitivity to pain or
experience paresthesia, a sensation of tingling, tickling, or prickling of the skin.1 According to
current guidelines, intensive glycemic control is very important for the prevention and reduction of
peripheral neuropathyand other microvascular complications.1,2 Medications used to help relieve
nerve pain include duloxetine and pregabalin (LyricaВ®), which are both approved by the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration for use in diabetic neuropathy. Other drug classes commonly used
are antidepressants, anticonvulsants, and opioids.3 Although there are many medications used for
this condition, pain relief is often insufficient for patients. Treatment is difficult due to the
complicated pathophysiology of pain transmission and the wide range of mechanisms of action of
drugs used to treat pain. Therefore, there is a continued need for additional medication options for
this chronic painful condition. Lacosamide is an anticonvulsant approved for use as monotherapy
or adjunctive therapy for partial onset seizures.

Stoichiometry Lab Report
Stoichiometric Reactions with Phosphoric Acid
By Jaime Conklin
Partner: Deanna Ryan
CHE 120 03
Instructor: Mr. Cusumano
September 30, 2015
Purpose
The purpose of this experiment is to examine the stoichiometric relationship between reagents and
the identity of the products by using three acid/base neutralization reactions of a triprotic acid,
phosphoric acid, and varying molar equivalents of sodium hydroxide. The data will be used to
determine the formula weight of the products and identify the remaining salt for all three reactions.
Introduction
In this experiment, we learned about stoichiometry, empirical formula, molecular formula,
polyprotic acids and bases, metathesis reactions, and moles.
Stoichiometry is a very important part of chemistry. Stoichiometry refers to calculating the masses
of molecules and their products . The reactants are usually given and stoichiometry is used to find
the products of the equations as well balancing the equation. An example of this would be sodium
chloride (NaCl). Stoichiometry will say that if there are ten thousand atoms of sodium and one
atom of chlorine, only one molecule of sodium chloride can be made and that fact can never be
changed.
Ex: 10,000Na + 1Cl в†’ NaCl + 9,999Na
Empirical formulas represent the ratio of atoms in a formula. It is expressed in the simplest, small,
whole number ratio. The molecular formula can either be the empirical formula, or a multiple of
the empirical

Positive Aspects Of The Industrial Revolution

explosion of new inventions began in England because of the abundance of copper, iron, and tin

Violent Video Games On Children

The Effects of Violent Video Games on Young Children
Violence in video games is among one of the most controversial and discussed topics up to this
day. Many believe that the violence in said video game is an exact consequence of a child s
behavior. There has been proof that violence seen in young children has increased in the United
States over the years, however, this could be due to a multitude of other factors. Research and a
meta analysis find positive linkages between children s and young adults violent video game
play and aggressive cognitions, aggressive affect, aggressive behaviors, and desensitization to
violence. Due to the rising levels of aggression, it leads children to believe that violence is the
way to deal with issues. The time children spend on these new media is ten times as much as the
time they spend on, for instance, reading for pleasure. The violent nature of the television
programs and video games to which children are exposed is of specific concern (Polman et al.
256). The result is that limitations and barriers are placed to tone down accessibility to these games,
the limitations being the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rating system. The ratings
are listed here E (rated for everyone), E10+ (for everyone 10 years and older), T (appropriate for

Implementing Physical Security As An Access Control Plan
Implementing physical security as an access control plan takes a great effort of planning. Physical
security is the protection and controlled access of personnel, the environment they operate in,
which includes the hardware and what it contains, as well as the rooms and buildings they are
located in. Physical security has three indispensable parts: access to control, observation, and
testing. Obstacles should be set for potential aggressors and physical areas should be bolstered

A clear and concise plan is needed, which will help lessen potential threats. The foundation of
biometric sensors, for instance, iris inspecting or one of a kind finger impression affirmation, can
make even the most formidable intruder think twice about gaining unauthorized access. Now and

authorities. In any case, access control should consist of physical security as well as information
security (Ricardo, 2015).
Consideration should be given to shutting off access to portable workstations, desktops, and
servers. There is great risk for a potential insider threat, such as personnel leaving the workplace
undetected with a portable device tucked under a clothing item. Such circumstances happen
extremely often and more organizations are being compromised. One conceivable situation to fix
security is to utilize the terminal server and a bootable Linux conveyance. Likewise avoided are
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), anticipating issues with spyware, malware, or
infections (Ricardo, 2015).
Security Controls Physical security manages and protects assets as regulatory, specialized, what s
more, physical controls. Control frameworks, interruption discovery frameworks, and evaluating
frameworks are cases of specialized controls. A few examples of regulatory controls are site area,
office configuration,

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In most Nigerian schools, officials and staff still go through the laborious exercise of manually registering students, maintaining records of students‟ performance, keeping inventory list of supplies, doing cost accounting, paying bills and printing reports. The huge man hour spent on these exercises can be drastically reduced with IT technologies to enhance overall management procedure. Thomas (1987), said that Computers bring great speed and accuracy to each of these tasks, along with the convenience of storing large quantities of information on „small disks or tapes‟ (P.5). For the purpose of this project, problems related to the management of information regarding student and their academic work, including teachers and subjects is the matter of concern. To alleviate these problems I have designed and developed a web based student information system termed, Electronic Student Management System (E SMS) to automate the management of information and essential administrative work regarding student registration, maintaining records of students‟ performances, teachers, subjects and class managers in an academic school year. • 3. Comparison Between My Last Duchess Ulysses Regarding... Question : What is a dramatic monologue? Which of the two, in your opinion, is the stronger dramatic monologue in Tennyson s Ulysses or Browning s My Last Duchess ? Answer : Traditionally dramatic monologue is a lyrical poem in the form of speech spoken by a single man. It is dramatic because it begins abruptly and in the development of its thought it takes several sudden turns which impart dramatic dimension to the poem. In a dramatic monologue the single speaker reveals his thoughts in the presence of a single silent listener or some silent listeners. The speaker is not necessarily the poet himself though the speaker often gives out the poet s belief and philosophy. The speaker s revelation, in fact, leads the readers to probe... Telemachus presence is also felt. Tennyson here follows the tradition of allowing one person to speak and keeping others silent. In My Last Duchess we see the same thing. As the poem progresses, it becomes clear that only a single person speaks. The speaker is the Duke of Ferrara who is talking about his dead Duchess portrait painted by Fra Pandolf. At several points of the poem it becomes evident that there is a listener who remains silent. For example, when the duke says Will t please you sit and look at her? or Will t you please rise? we understand that someone is present around him. Later in the poem, we come to know that he is an emissary for the second marriage of the Duke. Throughout the poem he does not talk. But his reactions are revealed through the Duke s speech. For example, the clue to understand the surprise in the emissary s face has been revealed by the Duke himself : so not the first/ Are you to turn and ask thus. We know he does not ask anything but there has been a question in his countenance. Tennyson reveals his heart s desire in Ulysses . This is another aspect of dramatic monologue. He says he does not enjoy peaceful life at home, and so, he wants to set out for new adventures. His inner thoughts have been revealed. However, the revelation is very simple and plain. Tax Memorandum September 30, 2012 Mr. Don Dewey 4321 Mount Vernon Road Dover, DE 19901 Dear Mr. Dewey: This letter is in response to your inquiry regarding the benefits and feasibility of allowing your daughter to be classified as a qualified child of your eldest son for this tax year. My conclusion is based upon the facts as provided by you at the Chamber of Commerce meeting on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. FACTS You are legally married to Mary Dewey and reside in the same abode. Both you and Mary file your income tax returns jointly as married. You and Mary are anticipating an approximate Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $400,000 this year. In your same abode, you have two children in residence; Debra, who is currently 16 years of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is not the case where Van has a significantly smaller AGI than his parents, the Dewey s. This position was affirmed by H.R. 6893, that when parents may claim a qualifying child but do not and another taxpayer may claim the qualifying child, that can only occur if that taxpayer s adjusted gross income is higher than the highest adjusted gross income of either of the child s parents. • 5. Lab Report On The Mass Of Actual Aspirin ( Acetylsalicylic... Abstract: This experiment utilizes skills of titration in order to find the percent mass of actual aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) in store bought aspirin. Two steps and two kinds of titrations are used. First, approximately 0.1 M NaOH solution was standardized using titration with KHP. KHP was used because it does not absorb moisture when it is stored, and it is soluble in water. The reaction that takes place in this reaction is a 1:1 mole ratio reaction. The titrationdetermines the volume of NaOH solution needed to completely react with the known amount of KHP. This makes the calculation of molarity of NaOH solution fairly easy. The average molarity calculated was 0.09897 M. The final part of the experiment is a titration to indicate the amount of acetylsalicylic acid present in approximately 0.5 g of store bought aspirin. The volume of 0.09897 M NaOH solution indicated the moles of NaOH that reacted with the aspirin. The reaction between NaOH and acetylsalicylic acid is a 1:1 mole ratio reaction. The calculated mass of acetylsalicylic acid was 0.3963g. This was divided by the initial amount of aspirin measured (0.4976g), and multiplied by 100 to give the percent mass. This value is 79.66%. This particular experiment may not be very accurate. Specifically, only two standardization trials were counted. This may cause a less accurate measurement of NaOH solution molarity, ultimately leading to an inaccurate percent mass of acetylsalicylic acid. Introduction ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Labyrinth Is A Play Written By Beth Steel Labyrinth is a play written by Beth Steel and it was shown at the Hampstead Theatre in London. The first thing I encountered when I entered the theatre was how big it was. The stage was in the center of the theater, which makes it entertaining for the audience to enjoy it at any side. A unique thing about the stage was that they use so much creativity on the floor. There were times where the floor was turned into a staircase, and smoke was coming outfrom the floor to show what is on John s mind. The stage was very relevant to the play, because it used quite often to help us comprehend why John Anderson killed himself at the end of the play. Looking back at the production I saw in October, something that made the set stood out was the trap doorin several of situations throughout the play. For example, when they were transiting scenes at the office, they used the trap doorsas a staircase for people that are working in the business. Also in the middle of the scene, Jonathan wanted to kick his father out of his apartment and once when he was kicked out, he used the trapped door from underneath. The trap door were unique, you see the characters going inside the trap door then come out of the two steel doors that were on each side of the stage. Similar to the trap doors, the two steel doors on each side of the set was unique too. Numerous of times in the play, it was used as an entrance for John to negotiate a loan deal with Latin American countries. Throughout the play, a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For the children highlighted in the documentary Waiting for Superman, hope is the only thing driving them to achieve a commendable educationin today s failing school system. Davis Guggenheim, an American film and tv director, produced this documentary in hopes of eliciting a worried response for the future of education in the United States. He reflects the individual struggles of students as well as a general view of the education system through animations and the overall structure of the documentary. Guggenheim urges the audience to notice the system s detrimental aspects and take action in order to save our prospective students. The existences of fractures are supported by EC profiling and flow characteristics. 1.1.2THEIS RECOVERY (1935) The transmissivity of the eight boreholes was estimated by plotting the best fitted line on the Theis plot. This was done using the FC program for Aquifer TestAnalysis (2014 version) which produced the plots in figure 19. The transmissivity is tabulated in table. By comparing the transmissivity estimated by Theis method to the transmissivity estimated by Cooper Jacob method, the transmissivity corresponds moderately. Timers and counters have been used outside plcs for a long time have shown themselves to be of great help. There use inside plcs has helped reduce space and the many of the complications of hardwiring. First, let s start out with the Ton timer. Ton timers were first used in plcs in the slc 500s. For all timers, there are three bits. The enabled bit, timer timing bit, and the done bit. On a Ton timer, the enable bit activated when there is a path of true conditions energizing the timer. With there use the allow for the simplifying of a program and more ease of understanding. Furthermore, the done bit energizes as soon as the timer energizes. When the timers accumulative value reaches its preset the done bit de energizes opposite of the TON and the RTO. Next, there are counters and their functions. There are two types of counters the count up and the count down. Like timers, they have a done bit. It works exactly the same as it did when used in timers. Unlike timers though counters also have count up and count down bits. When the counter is energized, depending on which counter is being activated, the counter will add or deduct one number from the accumulative value. It will only add one number for each false to true transition. Count up timers can be used to reach a specific amount of material or objects. From learning about musical techniques and applying it to my songwriting process, it helped me become a better songwriter. Throughout this reflection, I want to discuss the things I learned throughout the semester and why it helped my as a songwriter. Before taking this course, I used to just sing my songs, but never used to write them down. Throughout, the course I learned that it s important to work on your songs even if it s working on part of it. Taking time to improve you songs is already a step forward. Starting from lesson two, I learned the importance of having a strong premise. I found this very useful because then you have an idea of what your song is going to be about. You start thinking of emotion and storyline you want to write in the lyrics. For example, if you premise is about heartbreak, then the lyrics will be about a relationship, with maybe a sad piano accompaniment. Another interesting thing I learned about lesson two was the articles we read about techniques for finding ways to be inspired when writing a song. The article that was very useful was Finding Inspiration. From this article, a technique that I found useful was to write music about yourself or experiences. I found this to be a common thing for songwriters, according to the book we read In their Own Words, which was very interesting to read, I found that most of the famous songwriters, for example Dolly ... The spongy bone had a dark gray /blackish color. 2. How does cartilage differ from bone? How did each one feel when pierced with the knife? Cartilage doesn t contain any nerves or blood vessels and is surrounded by a layer of dense irregular connective tissue, the perichondrium (Marieb, 176). Bones contain various types of tissues which makes them organs. They are used for support, protection, movement, mineral storage, and blood cell formation (Marieb, 178 179). The cartilage was tough and flexible, and it was difficult to cut through. The bone, however, when I finally was able to cut through it, had blood within it. This proves that bone is the site for blood formation. The bone was more difficult to cut through than the cartilage. 3. How did the periosteum and endosteum differ in thickness? The periosteum seemed thicker because it was more difficult to peel away from the chicken leg. The endosteum wasn t that difficult to pull away from the spongy bone. Blood is a red fluid that contains a complex mixture of cells suspended in a liquid matrix which is transported (circulated) throughout the body by the circulatory system of an organism. It circulates around the body by the heart and delivers oxygen and other important nutrients to cells of organs and tissues, while at the same time, removing waste product from our body. Blood is located in almost every part of our body, which is due to the network of blood vessels called the circulatory system. It is circulated through the body s heart, arteries, veins and capillaries (tiny vessels that connect arteries and veins). In order for blood to carry out its functions, it needs to circulate all over our body to all living cells and tissues which it does through the support of the heart that pumps blood throughout our entire body). Although we had the option to choose from the following three detention circuits: a resistor thermistor voltage divider circuit, a phototransistor resistor voltage divider circuit, or a standard PC microphone driving the audioInput of the myDAQ, my group opted out towards the PC microphone detention circuit. Effects Of Low Level Disruption On The Classroom Findings from a recent Ofsted report have shown that low level disruption in the classroom is causing pupils to potentially lose up to one hour of learning each day, and that this may have a detrimental impact on their life chances (Ofsted, 2014). Difficulties managing behavior is a commonly reported source of stress and burnout among teachers, and is resulting in a substantial number leaving the profession within 5 years (Ford et al, 2012). Disruptive behaviour is not only stressful for teachers, but it can be unsettling for pupils, can hinder pupils enjoyment of schooland can prevent pupils from fulfilling their potential (Gorard, 2010). Although there has never been a time when all pupils behaved well, all of the time (Viser, 2005), it is important that teachers have a good understanding of the challenges they may face in the classroom, and are equipped with effective strategies to help them manage classroom behaviour. After all, effective behaviour managementand discipline in schools is a crucial to ensuring academic success and a positive and safe learning environment (Luisellia et al, 2005). I am a straightforward reader, in the fact that if I don t like a book or the style that something is written, I will express the way I feel towards it. For example, Wade was having a conversation with Nolan Sorrento, an official of Innovative Online Industries, and he said Do you mind skipping the scare tactics and the head games? Just tell me the details of your offer. I have other matters to attend to. (page 137), which I thought was pretty obnoxious. I found myself cringing at a lot of the dialogue and character choices and it also had a very predictable ending. About 5 chapters in, I started to keep a list of comments and questions that I had about the book and when I finished reading, the list was over 3 pages long. I really enjoyed the concept of this publication but I think the way it was executed was rushed and very clichГ©. • 32. How The Roman Catholic Church s Stance On Peaceful... Conversion in Medieval Iberia can invoke ambivalent feelings. Christians originally wanted to convert Jews and Muslims through kind words and religious teachings from the Bible. This idea, nevertheless, evolved over the centuries and Christians began converting non believers through violence and compulsion. Also, even after individuals were converted, Christians did not fully trust their motivations, and believed they would remiss into their old religions. While Marian miracles did help alleviate these tensions, a number of vicious acts were committed against Jews and Muslims during this time period. In this essay, I am going to examine the idea of conversion from the Christian perspective, and how Christians were able to tempt Jews and Muslims to convert. I am also going to compare the contradictory nature of converting through peaceful and violent means. This comparison will showcase how the Roman Catholic Churchs stance on peaceful conversion was overcome by local Christian communities. Conversion is the act of changing one s religionto another religion. During the twelfth to fifteenth century in Medieval Iberia, a number of Jews and Muslims converted to Christianity. To Christians, conversions represented the elimination of dangerous enemies and the ongoing triumph of the new Israel. Christians viewed themselves as the chosen people, as they believed that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save them, and formed a new covenant, while the Jews spurned him and ... The data will be used to determine the formula weight of the products and identify the remaining salt for all three reactions. Introduction In this experiment, we learned about stoichiometry, empirical formula, molecular formula, polyprotic acids and bases, metathesis reactions, and moles. Stoichiometry is a very important part of chemistry. Stoichiometry refers to calculating the masses of molecules and their products . The reactants are usually given and stoichiometry is used to find the products of the equations as well balancing the equation. An example of this would be sodium chloride (NaCl). Stoichiometry will say that if there are ten thousand atoms of sodium and one atom of chlorine, only one molecule of sodium chloride can be made and that fact can never be changed. Ex: 10,000Na + 1Cl в†’ NaCl + 9,999Na Empirical formulas represent the ratio of atoms in a formula. It is expressed in the simplest, small, whole number ratio. The molecular formula can either be the empirical formula, or a multiple of the empirical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Violent Video Games On Children Gabriel Silva Janet Myszkowski English 1101 06 November 2017 The Effects of Violent Video Games on Young Children Violence in video games is among one of the most controversial and discussed topics up to this day. Many believe that the violence in said video game is an exact consequence of a child s behavior. There has been proof that violence seen in young children has increased in the United States over the years, however, this could be due to a multitude of other factors. Research and a meta analysis find positive linkages between children s and young adults violent video game play and aggressive cognitions, aggressive affect, aggressive behaviors, and desensitization to violence. Due to the rising levels of aggression, it leads children to believe that violence is the way to deal with issues. The time children spend on these new media is ten times as much as the time they spend on, for instance, reading for pleasure. The violent nature of the television programs and video games to which children are exposed is of specific concern (Polman et al. 256).
