In Black Feminist Thought, specifically the chapter Black Feminist Epistemology,
Hill Collins argues that Black female experiences are often not regarded as
knowledge and one can witness this phenomenon within these three texts. Hill Collins
chapter opens with: A small girl and her mother passed a statue depicting a European
man who had bare handedly subdued a ferocious lion. The little girl stopped, looked

a set. Fuzzy sets can include partial elements; elements that may or may not belong to

What is Propaganda?
Art is a powerful thing. It has fueled revolutions, cultural movements, and wars.
(Axelrod, 2015 Art Power in North Korea). However, when art is only a mouthpiece
for the government s agenda, it ceases to be a medium for true communication. In
this way, people are stripped of a powerful means for expression (Axelrod, 2015 Art
Power in North Korea). This is called propaganda. Now what is propaganda, might
the reader ask? Propaganda is the spread of political, philosophical, scientific,
artistic, and others views and ideas with a view to their implementation (Great
Soviet Encyclopedia, 2011). Propaganda has proven itself again and again to be the
most decisive tool in most conflicts, as by using propaganda you are molding the
minds of your people, eliminating dissent and gaining overwhelming support for
anything you wish. It is once said by the famous American general Douglas
A.Macarthur that One cannot wage war under present conditions without the support
of public opinion, which is tremendously molded by the press and other forms of
propaganda (Chicago Tribune, March 3 1942 Pg.3). Some of the biggest users of

The Problem A major issue facing the prison system and society is the fact that
prisons are not equipped to meet the needs of older prisoners and older prisoners are
not adequately prepared to renter society. The aging population in the prison system
is an underserved and often ignored population. Neglecting to provide adequate care
for this population is a societal error that negatively impacts not only the prison
population but society as a whole. Prisons are typically used for rehabilitation
purposes. Current policies that force prisoners to remain incarcerated well into old age
need to be reviewed to assess for alternative solutions that respect the dignity of the
agingpopulation and are beneficial to society as well. We must proceed with a
question in mind, is the purpose of the prison system to act as a rehabilitation
/punishment system or a revenge/punishment system? Older prisoners are
considered to be a special needs population according to the Handbook on
Prisoners with Special Needs, created by the United Nations Office of Drugs and
Crime. Special needs groups have detailed guidelines to aid in the appropriate
treatment of special needs groups such as older prisoners, but these guidelines are

the EmDrive. The authors predicted that the thrust produced by the EmDrive can be

results that were similar to the predicted values for thrust. The computations of the
results did not sufficiently model wave oscillations in 3D, thus the authors
recommend further testing in order to produce more accurate findings.

Aeschylus Oresteia is a trilogy of books about the aftermath of the Trojan War in
Agamemnon s family. The trilogy contains many themes including tragedy,
deception, justice, vengeance, and most importantly betrayal. Many of Agamemnon s
family members turn against each other, including Agamemnon himself. However,
the betrayals in Oresteiaare not betrayals committed purely out of hatred. Vengeance
plays an important role in Clytemnestras murder of her husband, and Orestes murders
his mother out of vengeance, not simply because he wants to. Since the different
family members betray each other out of spite, Orestes cannot be considered the hero

Clytemnestra thought she was proclaiming justice by killing Agamemnon in
retribution for his immoral actions. However, the murder of Agamemnon could be
seen in other ways. The murder of Iphigenia is recognized as a terrible crime, and

is righteous, and she confesses to what she did with no guilt or remorse. Since
Agamemnon is foolish and arrogant, he is not a sympathetic victim. However,

loses sympathy. With Aegisthus in place, it is difficult to define Clytemnestra as a

Abstract
The aim of the present study was to investigate which hemisphere is specialised for
the perception of emotion. It was hypothesised that participants will judge
chimeric faces with smile presented in the left visual field as happier more often
than chimeric faces with the smile presented in the right visual field. Twenty six
psychology students were asked to judge chimeric faces with one half being a
smiling expression and the other half with a neutral expression. The images were
presented in their left and right visual field. Over 28 experimental trials the
participants were asked to judge which face they thought looked happier. The
percentage of chimeric faces judged as happier for both left and right visual field
was recorded. The hypothesis was supported: chimeric faces with smile presented in
the left visual field as happier more often than chimeric faces with the smile presented
in the right visual field.
