The Gospel of Luke is the most descriptive account for Jesus Christ s life. Through this Gospel it
gives its readers a foretaste into the birth and early life of Jesus and his disciples. Luke described
who Jesus was as a person and what Jesus had accomplished through his life, death, and
resurrection. This Gospelhas various themes. Some themes are the parables, the role of the Holy
Spirit, and the joy and rejoicing. The Gospel of Lukehas some very significant parables that are
still taught today. One parable is The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25 37). In this
parable a man was walking down to Jericho when robbers attacked him. They left him there half
dead and beaten up. A priest happened to go down the same road and when he saw the man he
didn t even stop he kept walking. Also, a Levite saw him and walked past him on the other side.
But when a Samaritan saw him he stopped and had mercifulness for him. He helped him
bandaged his wounds, and then he carried the man onto his donkey and led him to an inn where
he could take care of him. He told the innkeeper to look after him and when he returns he will pay

The American writer Mark Twain wrote Fenimore Cooper s Literary Offenses in response and his
own opinion about Cooper s novels. In this essay, Twain criticizes the major mistakes and rules
which Cooper violates in writing his series, The Leatherstocking Tales. A large portion of the rules
which Twain writes about can be found in Cooper s novel, The Last of the Mohicans. His self made
rules are very encompassing of Cooper s literary flaws which can easily be pointed out through
his novel. With Cooper violating these basic set of rules, he makes his novel seem very rushed and
undeveloped as the rules which do not follow encompass very crucial criteria which not only these
kinds of novels must have, but any novel must do.
In his essay, Twain criticizes Cooper on his inability to develop characters or to even have them
develop throughout the novel. Twain writes this is his essay when he writes, They require that
the author shall make the reader feel a deep interest in the personages of his tale and in their fate;
and that he shall make the reader love the good people in the tale and hate the bad ones. (Twain 2).
Twain notes that there should be a definite distinction between protagonist and antagonist of the
story. Overall, Cooper does a decent, but a sloppy job in distinguishing the main conflict which

Cabaret was set in the late 1920 s and was supposed to be a satire of the change of thinking and
the rise of the Nazi party. Cliff Bradshaw was supposed to represent the Americans and how they
had changed their ways of thinking. An example of this from the play was when Bradshaw was
trying to convince Sally Bowles to leave Germany with him because of the Nazi Party. On the
other hand, Sally Bowles was supposed to represent all of the individuals who did not want to

classes, as a simple variation of diffusion. Because osmosis is the first of many natural phenomena
understood by students, it is important that it is understood correctly. This however, is not the case.
In fact, discrepancies exist between how osmosisis taught and understood between physics and
