War due the fact that it lasted nearly 5 decades. The Cold Warchanged histrionically from each
administration change that every nation faced during these long time periods. In the Soviet Union
political landscapes went from Stalin to Khruschev then Brezhnev, each impacting the Cold War
with significant actions. In the film Czechoslovakia 1968: We Don t Want to Live on Our Knees

Introduction
Living as a utilitarian is more easily expressed than done. Thinking about the betterment of
humanity is not something everyone wants to cerebrate or worry about. Ideally, utilitarianism
would be prosperous if the view was shared among the world. Coming in from a thoroughly
nescient perspective, I was unsure of the possibilities, and unsure of the impact I would have on a
topic I knew nothing about.
Explanation of Utilitarianism
Utilitarianism is the subsistence of pleasure and the absence of pain; both being the substructure of
everything that people desire, and as the foundation of morality. Pursuing one s own happiness at
the expense of convivial ecstasy would not be moral under utility.
Additionally, there are different degrees of Utilitarianism. You have the Jeremy Benthamstyle
utilitarianism, and then you have a more subtle concept of John Stuart Mill s philosophy. The more
utilitarian a person is, the less the person is consummated. Living as a true utilitarian comes at a
great cost, you lose the exhilaration and adventure of life. There are other types of Utilitarianism;
including act and rule utilitarianism. The difference between act utilitarianism and rule
utilitarianism is that, with act utilitarianism, one must evaluate each act individually to see if it will
maximize net happiness. With rule utilitarianism, one first tries to determine which rules would

I would diagnose Mr Beaver with Schizophrenia and Illness Anxiety Disorder. At first I thought
that Mr Beaver had Somatic Symptom Disorder due to his constant worrying of brain numbness,
but as I looked deeper into his case I believe his symptoms match Illness Anxiety Disorder. I went
back and forth on which disorder he has or if he only had Schizophrenia. As I looked further into Mr
Beavers case I believe he has Schizophrenia and Illness Anxiety Disorder. The symptoms that are
present that support Schizophrenia include delusions, hallucinations, and negative symptoms. Mr
Beaver showed two types of delusions. The first type was Persecution. As he was leaving the
doctors he had told other patients that the doctors are out to get them, by saying not to trust the
doctors. He also said that the doctors must all be working together and that they were told not to
tell him what is wrong with him. Both of these symptoms are part of the Persecution Delusion.
Due to this feeling he began to isolate himself in his room due to the fact that it was a safe place
for him. The second delusion is Reference Delusion. It was mentioned that Justin Beaver felt that

The Ramayana and The Iliad are both significant pieces of literature in India and Greece. The

what you start to learn about them. In The Sniper by Liam O Flaherty, the protagonist shoots and
kills the antagonist. The two characters in the story are, the protagonist which was the narrator

I was walking to my house from the bus stop one day with my neighbor, Michael, and I was
joking about how I have a girl crush on Selena Gomez. I asked Michael, Hey, what male celebrity
do you have a man crush on? He responded ferociously with, None. I m not a freaking queer. This
is the exact type of mindset that transforms innocent words into ones dripping with negativity and
spite. Language is one of the most powerful tools a person could have, and the way they utilize it
reveals their character. As time progresses, words and their meanings can change. For my great
aunt s generation, the word queer just simply meant weird or strange. However, as gayactivism has
become much more prominent in society, the word queer is now mainly used to describe someone
s sexual orientation. Queer is not a derogatory term unless used as such, and it is instead a term of
equality and acceptance that should reverberate positive feelings. Sadly, this is not the only way
people translate it, instead morphing it into a shameful word and a cutting insult.

patients improve unilateral visual neglect more than mirror therapy exclusively performed on the
upper extremity?
Abstract
Background and Purpose. Stroke patients with visual neglect can be treated with mirror therapy to
improve neglect and function. Previous studies have shown improvement of neglect and function in
stroke patients who are given mirror therapy on the upper extremity only. This research will exam
whether mirror therapy of both the upper and lower extremity can show greater improvement than

A pilot study will be performed since no current research looking at the effect of mirror therapy
performed on stroke patients with neglect with primary outcome measures of SCT and LBT
have provided exact values of means with standard deviations between the groups. An effect size
of .50 will be used based on the study performed by Pandian et al. which looked at the effect of
mirror therapy performed on stroke patients with neglect and used similar primary outcome
measures as this study (Pandian) Therefore, with an effect size of .5, a sample size of 64
participants in each group will be needed. However, it is necessary to account for a predicted
attrition rate when recruiting participants. Based on the 12% attrition rate seen in the study
performed by Pandian et al., this study will start with an additional 8 participants per group with
the hope of maintaining 80% power and reducing the risk of a type II error. (Pandian) Therefore,
this study will begin with 72 participants in each group. An intention to treat analysis will be
performed in order to account for subjects who drop out of the study. A Bonferroni adjustment will
be made in order to maintain an overall О±2 = 0.05 to protect against type 1

Today I read books like no tomorrow and I learn quite a lot from them. I never knew books could
reflect your life or even share experiences that other people might feel or have been through. It all
began in high school, my second year of school and my class was beginning a new book called
