The wind instrument I will be researching in this experiment will be the pipe organ,
commonly used in cathedrals and churches. Pipe organs produce sound by pushing
pressurized air through a set of flue pipes.
Flue pipes usually have a circular cross section and are mostly made of wood or
metal. One pipe can only produce one pitch, so to produce a range of pitches an
organ will have multiple sets of pipes called stops. Organs can have as little as 12
pipes to as many as 20,000.

Discussion
After looking at the results, it is easy to see that as pipe got shorter, the fundamental
frequency increases. A 0.340m length pipe gave a frequency of 236Hz, while a
0.100m length pipe gave a frequency of 714Hz.
Conclusion
The results shown above prove the proposed theory to be correct.
If I were to do this experiment in the future I would use multiple pipes of different
lengths rather than using a piston to alter the length. I think this would give more
accurate results. I would also consider using pipes of different materials to see if it
has any effect on the results.

and 750 Вµl was carefully added to 1.5 ml spin columns as to not disturb the white
residue (Na), the tubes were then again subject to centrifuge for 1 minute at 11,000

The Azusa Street Revival was a historical Pentecostal revival meeting that occurred
in Los Angeles, California and is the beginning of the Pentecostal movement. It was
run by William J. Seymour, an African American minister. It started with a meeting
on April 9, 1906, and proceeded until about 1915. The revival was portrayed by
euphoric spiritual encounters joined by miracles, speaking in tongues, inter racial
socialising during worship services. The members were criticized by media and
theologians for their behaviour as it was considered as outrageous and unorthodox,
particularly at the time. Today, the restoration is considered by historians to be the
essential push for the spread of Pentecostalism in the 20th century. This paper will
aim to analyze how history may have unfolded if it had not happened, it will be

This week s article provided interesting insight into science curriculum in a preschool
classroom. I believe that children experience scientific concepts all around them
every day, for example, weather and shadows, and that they are looking for
information and the language to understand these concepts. This article furthered my
belief that preschool children are capable of learning and exploring abstract scientific
concepts. Furthermore, this articles supported my beliefs that although capable of
understanding abstract concepts, preschoolers require teacher guided support in
learning these concepts, as they often do not yet have the language require to explain
