1. Life Changing Events Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "Life Changing Events" can be quite challenging due to the
deeply personal nature of the subject matter. It involves delving into significant moments or
experiences that have had a profound impact on one's life, which can evoke a range of emotions
and memories.
Firstly, identifying which events to focus on can be daunting. Life is filled with numerous
experiences, some of which may seem significant at first but may not hold the same weight upon
reflection. Deciding which events truly qualify as life-changing requires careful consideration
and introspection.
Secondly, reliving these events through writing can be emotionally taxing. It may involve
confronting past traumas, struggles, or moments of vulnerability. Revisiting such memories can
evoke strong emotions, making it challenging to maintain objectivity and coherence in the
writing.
Furthermore, articulating the significance of these events and their impact on personal growth or
development requires thoughtful analysis and introspection. It's not merely about recounting the
events but also about exploring how they shaped one's perspective, values, and future trajectory.
Moreover, there's the pressure to communicate these experiences effectively to engage the reader
and convey the depth of their impact. Finding the right balance between introspection and
storytelling can be tricky, as too much focus on personal reflection may alienate the reader, while
too little may fail to convey the significance of the events.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on "Life Changing Events" demands a delicate balance of
emotional vulnerability, introspection, and effective storytelling. It requires grappling with
personal experiences and their broader implications while maintaining clarity and coherence in
writing.

2. A Rose For Emily Death Theme
Jordan Rackley
Ms. Bogard
ENG 2203 06
2017 March 9
Until Death Do Us Part Desperation can lead to drastic measures as portrayed by
Emily s relationship to Homer in A Rose for Emily. In the work by William Faulkner,
there are many themes that are related to one another and show the relationships
between Emily and the rest of her community. Death prevails as the dominant theme
in this story as shown by Emily s psychotic behavior in relationship to her father,
lover, and town, that results in death by the end of the story. Emily s family is a part
of the Old South, and Emily tries to maintain the traditions of the Old South even
though her community is working to establish a new South. This theme of tradition
versus change is found throughout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the beginning of the story, Emily s father passes away. This seems to be the
downfall of Emily, and this is where the readers get its first sense of death within
the story. Emily wants to keep her father s body and tells the ladies that her father
was not dead. She did that for three days, with ministers calling on her, and the
doctors, trying to persuade her to let them dispose of the body. By pretending her
father did not actually die, Emily shows her reluctance to let go of the notion that
the Old South still persists. Even though she tries to hold on to the past through
her father s body, the body is ultimately buried. Whenever the Board of Aldermen
show up at Emily s house, the narrator says that Emily looked bloated, like a body
long submerged in motionless water answering the door. The narrator compares
her to a woman who has drowned, which strongly foreshadows her ultimate demise.
In the same description, he refers to her frame as skeleton like, and this shows the
man s opinion that Emily looks like death although she is still alive. Even though
Emily herself is alive, her inability to be part of the town makes her dead in a sense.
This demonstrates how Emily is isolated from the rest of her community that tries to
move forward toward a new South. This isolation leads her to try and connect with
Homer s dead
3. My Advocate Of A Young Child
Advocates throughout one s life can determine that person s trajectory. A positive
advocate might encourage a child to pursue their dreams, despite the unlikeliness of
it. Some family member advocates will help a younger counterpart get through
relationship troubles or otherwise personal conundrums. Unfortunately, there is also
often a negative advocates in the lives of many. An older peer of a young child
might encourage risky behavior like harmful drug use, theft or other unlawful,
though fun, activities. One advocate of mine encouraged me to enroll in a higher
education program, an experience I am remembering with distaste as I write a
narrative hours before it is due. However, my advocates have also benefited me in a
literary sense of the term. My advocates in literacy came in the form of parents and a
fictional character, which formed my foundation in relation to literacy, then later on
specific English papers and forensics, which sculpted the nuances in my relationship
with literacy.
I would imagine many can relate to an aversion to reading and writing from a very
young age. Additionally, I would also go so far as to propose that many younger
children also have a someone to sponsor their literary endeavors. A literacy sponsor
is something someone decided to define which would otherwise likely go without a
name. Dr. Brandt, who has a doctorate in something about literacy, talks about
literacy and defines a sponsor as someone or something that made literary interactions
4. All Relationships Between A Mother And A Daughter
Not all relationships between a mother and a daughter are the same, but involves
human interaction. Every mother differs in their teaching and upbringing of their
children, especially their daughters. A mother s love and compassion for her child,
wants the best for her child. Sometimes, her love is rigorous because she does not
want her daughter to go through her experiences in life. Written by Jamaica Kincaid,
in Girl the motheris teaching her child to take care and defend herself. Written by
Amy Tan, in Two Kinds the mother is trying to help her daughter discover her talent.
A mother instructs her daughter to obey rules and modes of conduct in order for her
to be successful. Mothersare strict when it comes to instructing their daughters of
how to build a proper identity for themselves. On Sundays try to walk like a lady
and not like a slut you are so bent on becoming; don t sing benna in Sunday school;
you mustn t speak to wharf rat boys, not even to give directions; don t eat fruits on
the streets flies will follow you (Kincaid 320). Basically, mothers want their
daughter to care about their appearance and to look clean in society. The mother
does not want her daughter s name to be spreading of how nasty she dresses in
public. The girl s mother wants her to not only look like a lady, but act as one. She
wants her child to have respect for herself and respected for others, by not singing in
school. If she does what her mother tells her to do; therefore

According to Hamilton, his family was visiting relatives for the summer when a
certain day in 1791 a woman called upon him for help; her name is Maria Reynolds.
The relationship between Alexander Hamilton and Maria Reynolds soon grew into a
scandalous affair when confrontation and the publication of the Reynolds Pamphlet
occurred. So, Revelations about the treasury secretary s sex life forces him to choose
between candor and his career. (Serratore)
When Maria Reynolds first asked Alexander for help, she was terribly mistreated and
abandoned by her husband. Alexander was eager to help, giving her a later time to
meet up. After the next few encounters, James Reynolds, Maria s husband, returned.

6. Women s Role Of Women In The 16th Century
Europeans during the 16th century were facing a time where men were the head
of the household as well as heads of government. As a result, when Elizabeth I
became the queen of England, it was said that she was a queen in a world of kings.
Prejudice against a female ruler began around Europe, most likely because this was
the first occurence of this. The negative attitudes of religious and reforming leaders
influenced Elizabeth to show her strength as well as gain power and respect for her
entire country. All throughout Europe, every country was ruled by a man or group of
men. Since this was so common in each country, it became expected that a man
would again come to rule England after Elizabeth s sister Mary. But instead, Elizabeth
became queen. Many church leaders spoke out against this change, for example
Nicholas Heath, the archbishop of York. He said, her Highness cannot be supreme
head of Christ s militant church (Document 2). An archbishop being a high rank in
the church system shows that Heath is experienced in the church and probably shares
the beliefs of the church. During the 16th century, the Catholic Churchwas facing a
time of reform where many people were looking to question some of the church s
beliefs and traditions. As a result, most everyone in the Catholic Church was doing
everything possible to stop any further changes, in this case, prevent a female ruler
from taking the throne. The overall idea that women should not hold any high
ranking positions,
7. Malala Yousafzai s Impact On The World
Today on my first day as an adult, on behalf of the world s children, I demand of
leaders we must invest in books instead of bullets. This quote was said by Malala
Yousafzai, a young woman who in her teenage years was an advocate for education
and peace, and still continues to make a significant impact on the world. Malala and
two other people, Easton LaChappelle and Louis Braille, are proof that teenagers can
make a meaningful difference in this world. Malala Yousafzai was born July 12,
1997 in Mingora, Pakistan. Malala attended a school founded by her father that
allowed girls to join. Even in her early years she became an advocate for girls
education, and she in September 2008 even gave a speech condemning the Taliban
s attack on school girls. This is a very brave and daring thing to do; she spoke out
against the Taliban. She inspired many people with her courage, and she continued
her support for education. Because of her ongoing defiance of Taliban control and
her passion for peace and education, in 2011, Malala got death threats from the
Taliban. Then, on October 9, 2012, she was shot on the bus on her way home from
school. She was shot in the left side of her head, and was left in critical condition.
After recovering in March of 2013 in Birmingham, England, she attended school in
Birmingham. Even after this, she persevered, and continued to be vocal about... Show

Teenagers are often seen as impulsive, easy to get in risky situations, and
intellectually unstable. This is somewhat proven, ...the front cortex, the area of the
brain that controls reasoning and helps us think before we act, develops later. This
part of the brain is still changing and maturing well into adulthood. So, teenagers are
more likely to be bad decision makers. Regardless of this fact, teenagers can make a
difference, and thanks to Malala, Easton, and Louis, this is
8. Phantom Pain Research Paper
The Metal Gear series is known for its captivating cinematic scenes that are
coupled with an absorbing complex plot, but MGSV: The Phantom Pain does
something it s predecessors does not. The Phantom Pain allows you to create these
memorable moments for yourself. Never before in a Metal Gear game has the
gameplay felt so fluid, responsive, and satisfying. Stealth has always been the staple
of the series, but Hideo Kojima has evolved the definition of stealth and incorporated
it into an incredibly massive open world a new for the series.

Instead, cutscenes are too few and far apart and are only a few minutes when they do
appear. The game is very much about the now than it is the past of even the future.
Most plot related elements pertain to Venom Snake s current affairs. As a
standalone story, The Phantom Pain does a great job of being accessible to
newcomers to the series but is likely to divide the Metal Gear faithful who are
seeking for more closure. I personally would have enjoyed Metal Gear Solid 4
storytelling coupled with The Phantom Pain s gameplay.
That being said the story cinematics that are present are beautifully produced.
Music in Metal Gear is better than it s ever been. Snake can listen to music found
in the world at anytime he wants which adds more immersion to mission. The
spectacular visuals and superb voice acting are also best in its class. Venom Snake
is voiced by Kiefer Sutherland and his performance as Snake is impressive.
Sutherland does a exceptional job of portraying the emotional side of Venom Snake.
Unfortunately, his star performance is severely hindered by how under utilized he
9. The Depiction Of Unseen Crime Scene In Elsie s Business
Unseen Crime Scene
The scene within Elsie s Business that I found the most impactful to the narrative as
a whole, by way of the writing style, was the scene where Sheriff Parker discovers
the body of Elsie Roberts. Unlike most other scenes in the book, this one is written
quite differently. In most other parts of the novel, the reader is meant to listen to the
story and make their own interpretations and conclusions regarding the events of the
novel based solely on the information given, particularly within the tales told by the
character of Oscar to the narrator (195). For the crime scene in the novel, Washburn s
writing takes a far different turn from interpretive and vague to analytical and
exceptionally detailed.
Throughout the novel, Frances ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In effect, the simplicity of the information provides an easier story to follow and thus
a smoother, more basic array of details that the reader must interpret. However, this
simplistic style is greatly different from the one that Washburn chooses for the
depiction of the crime scene.
As if to build up to the change in writing styles, Washburn begins the story of the
crime scene with a briefly detailed overview of the weather conditions and the time
of year the murder occurs. They are described as being a slow moving
storm...bringing several inches of snow and the Saturday night after New Year s
Eve respectively (163). So the story goes, Sheriff Parker leaves the police station to
make his final rounds on Sunday morning just before he is to be relieved from his
shift and, in the process, comes upon the frozen body of Elsie where upon which the
writing style takes an immediate shift. As if recounting the obsessive detail of a scene
within one of Arthur Conan Doyle s tales of the great Sherlock Holmes, Washburn
begins the scene s analysis through the emptiness of the scene,

Management Theory and Practice
Who has not dreamed of being a manager? Being in management for some people
can be a love hate relationship. Some will say it is an easy job and others will
disagree. The author (Nichole) will select one of the management theories in the
textbook then she will explain the elements that are the foundation of the
management theory she selected. Furthermore, she will explain how the theory
identifies the roles and skills of the manager. Then she will describe three
management skills necessary for the effective management of an organization. Lastly,
she will outline three management roles in relation to the management of people and
organizational processes.
The theory chosen was classical management theory. Classical management theory
according to the book was originated during England s Industrial Revolution, which
began in the late 1700 s with the invention of reliable steam powered machinery
(Plunkett, Allen, Attner, 2013, p. 37). The classical management theory focused
more on the one best way to perform and manage tasks (Plunkett et al, 2013, p. 37).
Using the steam powered machinery made it possible for manufacturers to not
depend on water and wind. Using steam powered machinery also made it possible to
produce more products. The more products a factory can make the more people they
will be able to sell the product to. This means more money

Essay
The Dictatorial Prospero of The Tempest
Motivation often propels people to achieve high goals. Sometimes, however,
motivation is too strong a tool and can manifest into selfish desires. The exploitation
of the weak invariably results from the strong abusing their power, especially in a
political setting. In William Shakespeare s The Tempest , Prospero is displayed as a
tyrannical character who spawns a disastrous storm as part of a grand scheme to
regain his title of Duke of Milan. His subsequent treatment of each character in the
play, even his beloved daughter are purely based on his self centered motives.

To the more sympathetic view it can be seen that these questions are not from a
controlling point of view, but paranoia regarding how his daughter perceives the
conversation. However, after his long speech, he then uses his magic to control her
into lulling her into a sleep when he is done talking to her. Is this the action of a
loving or a controlling father, a question which individually you can answer
differently.
Even Miranda s romantic affairs are not free from her father s meddling and
controlling. Prospero admits, It goes on [Ferdinand and Miranda s amorous
glances], I see, as my soul prompts it (1.2.422 424). Even though he has created this
love affair through his magic, he plays with both Ferdinand s and Miranda s
emotions by enslaving Ferdinand to menial work while the rest of his evil demise
is carried out. Driven only by selfish motives, Prospero is not concerned with his
daughter s state of well being but how she can be used as a pawn within his games.
As the play progresses Prospero gives his daughter away in marriage to Ferdinand
without even consulting first with her. His selfish motives become more apparent
when he extensively warns Ferdinand against pre marital sex. Prospero view upon
Miranda s virginity is that it is a prize for him to give away. Without her virginity,
she would not be a valuable asset to him, which is why Prospero calls upon the help
of the three goddesses

15. Romanticism Was The Period Of The Literary Movement
Of...
1783 1830 was the period of the literary movement of Romanticism which was
originated in Europe (wiki). The Romantic Movement was partly aroused as a
reaction from the Industrial Revolution. Romanticism appeared as a movement which
aimed to reject many subjects such as spirits, souls, and instincts from the previous
Enlightenment movement and discuss subjects associated with liberalism,
radicalism, and nationalism (Nichols, A., 2005). This movement emphasizes on the
sources of aesthetic experience, emotions, beauty and sublimity of nature. One of the
most obvious principles in this literary movement is the freedom of the poets to
express themselves and their feelings. It was considered that in order for poets to
express their true feelings, they have to be creative, imaginative and isolated. And the
second obvious principle in this literary movement was the principle of genius, which
means creation from nothingness, and that was the key of this movement
(Waterhouse, 1926; Smith, 1924).
In that period, poets seemed to be using ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This stanza gives the reader a vibe of seriousness and sorrow because it asks questions
about the significance of the interchange between nature and human mind (
Romanticism , 2010). Shelley brings forth the central problem in this stanza about the
equality of the creation with the mind of human being. In these lines, Shelley
believes that he was caught in nature with its terrifying giant wonders; then he
personifies the big mountain and he also indicates that the mountain is too big to
understand. Moreover, Shelley used more than forth of the poem to view the main
problems about understanding nature of the power of the everlasting universe of

when a bee buzzes past you and lands on a flower by your feet, as human nature
you don t want to be next to the bee because it could sting you... do you step on it
or simply walk away? What you may not know is that honeybees play a huge roll
in America s agriculture, whether it is pollinating alfalfa hay to feed your horse or
pollinating that apple you eat every morning for breakfast. Honeybees pollinate
about one third of crops species in the U.S. (Vanishing Bees, 2008). Bees pollinate a
lot more than you would think a few more examples are almonds, avocadoes,
cucumbers and peanuts.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The bees never seem to catch a break which is putting the bees under stress which is
a factor. Furthermore, when they are pollinating all these different plants some are
not nutritious as others, for example cucumbers aren t as healthy as some of the
other plants but there is still a demand for them, so the bees still have to work and
eventually become unhealthy if they aren t getting the right nutrients. Another factor
is pesticides, which has many different points of view but overall it has come to
decided it is not the pesticides themselves that are killing masses of bees but it is
lowering their immune system and making it easier for them to get sick, for example
with the common parasite Nosema. Nosema is a parasite in the digestive track of the
honey bee that attacks the entire hive and can eventually wipe out the whole hive.
The effects of the pesticides are ultimately never letting the hives reach their
maximum potential, which in the end could render the hives weak and lethargic.
There are so many pesticides out there it is hard to tell exactly what component in the
pesticide is hurting the bees. It is recently found that the inert ingredients used often
to boost the effectiveness of the pesticide are actually more harmful than the actual
toxic ingredients

(1) How do the films discussed link the concepts of ‚crime and ‚travelling ?
What makes travelling such an interesting phenomenon within the crime genre?
Please also refer to the narrative structure of crime films. Travelling has used to be
an activity that entirely differs from our everyday life, an escape in order to find
authenticity. Travelling forces people from their comfort zones and lead to new
emotions, new actions, new perceptions, acquired through the prism of another
reality. For a long time it has been a privilege available only for a group of eligible.
Not surprisingly, the idea of interconnectivity between crime and travelling is highly
exploited in the movie industry exposing the gap between expectations and reality,
between dream world and real world. Both the notion of crime and travelling are
built around the idea of observing spaces and places, people and their actions with
the possibility of expectations being destroyed at any moment. Often tourists try to
plan their trips with the smallest details to avoid any unpredictable situation,
especially nowadays in the time of the easy accessible images and reviews about
destinations. They are very persistent in their attempts to establish an order on a
world. Crime stories are also concerned with this idea. The most thrilling effect in
movies can be achieved by putting crime and travelling into one story. When touristic
stereotypes are destroyed, anticipated actions are not performed, seeming strong

Humans are destructive. Not a lot of us think about how what we do affects the
world around us. We almost act like we are the only ones on this planet. We go

things that live out in the wild are paying the price for it. Every day that passes
there is another animal or plant that is placed on an endangered list. This is
happening at an alarming rate. Because of man s desire to expand and conquer their
surroundings, there are animals and plants that are on the brink of extinction that will
not be around for our kids and future generations to enjoy if something is not done
about it now. This problem has been going on for hundreds of years. There ... Show

Consider, for example, the case history of the gray wolf (Canis lupus).
The gray wolf is not only one of the most impressive of the large North American
mammals it is also one of the most misunderstood. The history of the gray wolf since
the arrival of the European peoples who indiscriminately displaced both indigenous
human populations and indigenous animal and plant populations has been interlaced
with attempts at extermination and, more recently, conservation. The specieswas
almost reduced to the point of extinction before public sentiment would sway to the
point where it would receive some protection.
First listed as an endangered species in 1973, the gray wolf (thanks to the
conservation efforts and severe legal penalties for harming this species that are
attributable to the Endangered Species Act) is one of the success stories of the
Endangered Species Act. With the upswing in the gray wolf population, however,
there has been a consequent increase once again in the same public resentment
which almost obliterated the gray wolf from the face of the earth just a few decades
ago. This resentment, and the loss of habitat which seems to characterize so many
indigenous species of the Americas, translate to a continuation of the rocky road
which the gray wolf has traveled for so long.
The plight of the gray wolf can be directly related to the fact that the wolf is
considered a threat to man and livestock alike. Although wolf behavior makes them

a complex piece of Aotearoa history. This essay gives a short commentary on the
context around the signing of Te Tiriti. It includes the articles and inconsistencies
between the documents. Further discussion identifies breaches of Te Tiriti in regards
to health and the consequences for Maori. Finally the potential role that Te Tiriti
plays in the health recovery for Maori concludes this dialogue. Prior to European in
Aotearoa, MДЃorilived successfully. Comprehensive histories, legends and ancestral

Breaches of Te Tiriti have had far and wide reaching implications for MДЃori health.
Legislations contradicting all facets of Te Tiriti led to the dissolution of Maori rights
(Naumann, et al. ,1990, p.54). These laws encroached on MДЃori way of knowing
and being. For example, the banning of Te Reo MДЃori in public, almost single
handedly drove this oral culture to extinction, as the vehicle for driving tikanga and
kawa is language. MДЃori were punished for speaking te reo and chose to protect
their tamariki by not passing on their reo (Selby Laurie, 2005). A whole generation
had passed before the detrimental effects of those actions were comprehended. Due to
assimilation MДЃori cultural identity was systematically removed and replaced with
western ideology (Durie, 1998).
The Constitution Act (1852) gave the right to vote based on single title, land owned
communally left MДЃori ineligible to vote. The Native Land Act (1862) let pakeha
apply for land title, which was then heard in court and given to Pakeha (Naumann, et
al., 1990, p.55). As more land was confiscated, economic viability for MДЃori
became limited. This land alienation and urbanisation created poverty that rapidly
developed within MДЃori communities. Whanau left their turangawaiwai to work in
the city, often collecting minimal wages. This cycle forced MДЃori into the welfare
system (Durie, 1998). As a direct result of colonisation, viral diseases plagued the
country to the deaths of

Emerge of recombinant DNA technology provided an immense potential in the field
of plant transformation. Transgenic plants detection in most crop species in order to
minimize regeneration of non transformed tissues after transformation requires the
use of selectable marker genes and selective agents. The commonly used selectable
markers in plant transformation systems are genes conferring resistance to toxic
compounds such as herbicides or antibiotics. The negative selectable marker genes
routinely used in Nicotianatabacum transformation are genes that confer resistance to
the antibiotic kanamycin. However, the presence of these genes or the derived
proteins are undesirable in crop plants grown in the field, because of the public

Phosphomannose isomerase is a key enzyme for mannose metabolism converts
mannose 6 phosphate into fructose 6 phosphate, which enters the glycolytic pathway
after isomerization to fructose 6 phosphate, thus allows mannose to become a sole
carbon source.
The PMI enzyme is widespread in nature, occur in bacteria, yeast, and mammals
(including humans), but there are only a few plant species like soybeans and
several other legumes where the enzyme presence has been reported (Lee and
Matheson, 1984). However, PMI expression in plants is quite variable. While Man is
utterly toxic to the growth of plants such as corn and wheat (Wright et al., 2001),
measured PMI activity in Nicotiana tabacum suspension cells is relatively low
which bring about slow metabolism of Man. These levels seem likely to be
representative of tobacco in general, being similar to levels found in tobacco leaves
(Barb et al., 2003). The PMI/mannose selection system has been successfully used
for the regeneration of transgenic plants from several important crops such as
sugar beet (Joersbo et al.,1998), cassava (Zhang and Puonti Kaerlas 2000), maize

22. Nonprofit Vs. Non-Profit Organization
All organizations big or small, for profit or non profit have a structure in which
dictates how they function. The evolution of communication with emails, video
conferencing, instant messaging, text messages and social media sites has forever
changed how organizations communication is structured. In a global work
environment, organizations are now utilizing people with different perceptions,
backgrounds and work attitudes (Himmer, 2013). Organizational structureguides
coordination and allocation of tasks leading to the organization s goal. An
organization structure can specifically control and instruct how employees behave
and what values are accepted by an organization. In a globalized economy, many
organizations redesign their structures to cater towards the ever changing work
environments. Reshaping an organization structure may mean employee s roles and
responsibilities to align with cultural changes, in efforts to become more efficient and
productive. Pfizer the global pharmaceutical company has discovered that many of
their staff hired to develop strategies and innovate new ideas, were spending 20 to 40

the owners and shareholders. Because TV is a luxury item and no one needs it to

ability to help society typically. There of course are some exceptions, REI is a non

Shakespeare Research shows that Shakespeare s historical plays do not offer good
sources for accurate rendering of historical events. The details of place of issues
such as place, time, and personality are all subject to a great deal of artistic license
just as most of modern Hollywood movies about the past. However, to some
extent, Shakespeare did research his materials. Close analysis of his famous works
and plays indicate that Henry IV draws upon a surprising range of disparate
sources[CITATION Jam991 p 4 l 1033 ]. One of the most obvious sources for
Henry IV plays is Chronicles of England, Scotland, and Ireland by Raphael
Holinshed, the 1587 edition. Holinshed style of history focuses on personalities
and motivations of important historical figures as well as much detail regarding
Henry s IV tussle with Percy. Another important source used by Shakespeare in
historical plays was The Civil Wars between the Two Houses of Lancaster and
York by Samuel Daniel. The poems written by Daniel differ greatly from that of
Holinshed particularly on the emphasis on the Princes of Wales and the rivalry he
had with Hotspur. Shakespeare followed and used Daniel in portraying Hotspur as
a much younger person at the period of rebellion though history shows that he was
older than King Henry IV was. Both Daniel and Shakespeare use the battle of
Shrewsbury as an occasion for the prince to prove his valor as well martial

The operations management problem that our group chosen to discuss about
occurs at a small, family owned restaurant business called Good Greek Grill.
Known best for their tasty greek food, the company s primary problem is inventory
management; trying to determine the order quantities and the method of lot sizing
and when to order so the company doesn t waste items with short life such as the
dairy products that uses like yogurt and milk. In the past the store has had been
throwing away large quantities of dairy products due to lack of forecasting the
demand for dairy products as well as weak inventory planning methods from
unqualified employees. As a result, Good Greek Grill (G3) asked our group to help
them solve the problem since after getting a SOM class we are able to determine
methods towards solutions of Operational Management problems. The solution can
be found by getting to know what is the current reorder point and order quantity by
using the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) inventory model . Cost cutting is
essential as the store doesn t get enough customers that are interested in the dessert
and coffee products that are offered in store. Yogurt is used in our dessert items

Pros Cons of Green Roofing
Green roofing systems are rapidly becoming one of the most popular options for
environmentally conscious customers interested in making a statement with their

companies in Chicago are beginning to specialize in this field. A green roofdoes not
mean that a roof has solar panels or wind turbines installed; a green roof is a system
that is covered with plants, mosses, and other types of vegetation.
There are three primary types of green roofing systems: extensive and intensive
roofs. Extensive roofing systems have a very thin layer of soil covering the roof,
which is used to plant moss, grasses, and herbs. This system is relatively light and is
not very difficult to install, meaning reduced labor costs for you and no need for an

Cons
Green roofs are difficult systems to put into place and require the contracting with
experienced roofing companies in order to complete the job. They are also
significantly more expensive than traditional roofing systems, so you must increase
your budget if you desire this type of system. Roofing companies will also need to
spend additional money on supplies, as these types of roofs require additional
insulation and waterproofing before complete.
Upkeep is also a major issue with green roofs. They require regular water and
pruning, just like a traditional garden, which can add hours of additional work to
your schedule every week.
Lastly, there is additional maintenance and planting required in a harsh climate like
that found in Chicago. Because of the severity of Chicago winters, you will be
required to replant your roof every spring, which costs additional time and

Layer by Layer Approach for Making Microcapsules
Muhammad Faiz Omar (201308264)
4th December 2014
Abstract
The fabrication of hollow multilayer microcapsules in the beginning is initiated by
layer by layer (LbL) self assembly technique of oppositely charged polyelectrolyte on
colloidal template followed by core decomposition. The main concept of
microencapsulation is to protect the contents of fabricated microcapsules from the
harmful environment in which it is surrounded. In this literature review, I shall
outline the technique of microcapsules encapsulation employing LbL approach, lists
of polyelectrolytes and templates and application of microcapsules.
Introduction
Over the past decades, nanometre sized or known as microcapsules have been
benefited the approach of Layer by Layer(LbL) technique due to the ability of
tailoring their properties(e.g., size , shape, colloidal stability, surface functionality,
composition) that are biocompatible and biodegradable.1 3,10They are broadly used
in many applications including food technologies, cosmetics, textiles industry and
pharmaceuticals. The LBL assembly of multilayers are fundamentally built up by the
alternating deposition of oppositely charged polyelectrolytes onto a sacrificial
template such that the charge oscillates between positive and negative with each
layer.1,4 The establishment of nanocoatings using LbL assembly method
distinguishes itself in its intelligibility compared to the more conventional method.

details, the film 42 is accurate. Through clothing, people, and events, the movie is
able to show how accurate it actually is.
Seventy years ago, when he played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Jackie Robinson was
the biggest story in the baseball world. (Henninger) From the start, Robinson was a
skilled athlete. He lettered in four sports at the University of California. In 1945, he
started at shortstop in the Negro Leagues. Those teams in the Negro league were
separate from major league baseball. (Brown) The movie 42 is accurate with
showing of the clothing the people were wearing. In the movie, the teams were not
wearing helmets when they were hitting. 42 was set to be in the 1940s, and
helmets weren t required to wear until 1971, the Major Leagues required to wear
them. (42 Movie) Rachel Robinson is always in nice looking clothes. In any

preface of the narrative, the author, importantly explains significance of her ability
to share her story to the people of free states, in order for them to decide their

tone of understanding the reality of the situation as a whole, a certain type of
disrespect to the authorities who execute what is needed in order for the system of
slavery to function. Since she begins with description of her family starting with her
father who seems to be caring and responsible person, even trying to buy freedom
for his children. The story of her grandmother is tragic as well, but through it we can
judge the importance of family ties that Harriet was able to absorb from her relatives,
especially her opportunity to live among her grandmother and

37. Language And Vocabulary Determines Someone s Thought
Process
Pavan IyengarJunior English III Honors Mr. Sauter October 22, 2014 Language and
thought are closely connected. Language and vocabulary determines someone s
thought process. Based on the words in the dictionary, which make up language, a
person s thoughts are limited and restricted. In the novel, 1984, by George Orwell,
Winston Smith, the protagonist, wants to overthrow a totalitarian government that
follows rules of a fabricated man, Big Brother, in Oceania. In this society, the
government, called the Party , limits and restricts what the citizens of Oceania can do
and say. It limits the vocabulary, ultimately resulting in a limitation of language. In
this novel, the thought process, of many people, is corrupted by language. Whatever
the government says is always right. Newspeak, the dictionary in Oceania, is also
limited, as it loses many words during the creation of a new edition, to prevent
rebellion. The actions of the ministries, under the Party, contradict the name of the
ministry. All these factors exemplify how language corrupts thought. In the novel,
1984, evidence of where language corrupts thought occurs during the interrogation of
Winston Smith, the creation of new editions of Newspeak, and in the actions and
names of the ministries. Corruption of thought through the use of language occurs
during Winston Smith s life. After O Brien interrogates Winston, Winston, Almost

40. Ephesians FILLED With The HOLOY SPIRIT
FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
And
THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
(Ephesians 5: 18)
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in the Christian because the New Testament
teaches that Christians possess the gift of the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit
dwells in Christians now; in this life. (Acts 2:38; I Cor. 3: 16; I Cor. 6: 19; etc.)
However, when observed in its context, Ephesians 5: 18 can t referrer to the gift of
the Holy Spirit as promised by Peter on the Day of Pentecost. The context shows
that Paul s companion statements, be filled with the Spirit (Eph. 5: 18), and let the
word of Christ dwell in you richly were written to people who were Christians;
therefore, they had already received the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38), and been

Human Resource (HR) managers work with top managers in order to create jobs
and develop high performing workforces. HR managers design jobs that fulfill the
needs of the business and align with organizational goals. However, before jobs are
created, HR managers need to understand what tasks and duties are required. The
process of identifying the tasks and duties needed for a job is referred to as Job
Analysis(Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart, Wright, 2014). A job analysis is important
because it assists managers with recruiting, performance management, compensation,
and ensuring equal treatment (Stewart Brown, 2012). Ultimately, the information
gathered from job analyses are used to develop job descriptions. This paper will

You may all go to Hell, and I will go to Texas (www.brainyquote.com). Words spoken
by the famous American folk hero Davy Crockett. Oddly enough Texas would bring
about many Hellish debates, and conflicts throughout most of the middle nineteenth
century. For Texas the debate about statehood was at hand, and the country was a
split about its status as a slave or free state. While at the same time the country
wanted to avoid an all out war with Mexico. Events like the Missouri Compromise
and the Mexican Independence from Spain would impact future events leading up
to the independence of Texas in 1836. Leaders like Colonels Gregorio Gomez and
William Travis who viewed Texas as their peoples land, would act on their ambitions
to claim Texas for their respective countries. While back in the states people such as
abolitionist Benjamin Lundy and the Charleston Mercury newspaper would voice
their opinions of slaveryin Texas. Through these events and sources the reader can
find evidence about the unique challenges the country faced regarding Texas
statehood. To get a better picture of the Texas situation, the reader most glance back
in time and examine some important dates before 1836. In 1820 Congress passed
the Missouri Comprise introducing two new states into the Union; Missouri a slave
state, and Maine a free state. Congress also agreed that the southern border of
Missouri (Parallel 36В°30) was to serve as the boundary between slave and free states

A Study of Robert Louis Stevenson s use of settings, characters and symbolism in
The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde .
Robert Louis Stevenson was born November 13, 1850 in Edinburgh,
Scotland throughout his childhood; he suffered chronic health problems that
confined him to bed. He lived in constant fear of death and some people believe that
this was where he got his grim outlook on life from. The strongest influence during
his childhood was that of his nurse, Allison Cunningham, who often read aloud

Not only did this give it a more chilling feel it fitted in with the social historical
context of the book. The book was written right in the heart of the industrial
revolution so the readers of the book would probably be starting to move into the
city, this made it easier for the readers to familiarise with the settings and actions in
the novel.
When writing the book the graphic detail Stevenson could use was restricted by the
hypocritical society in which he lived.
Many ragged children huddled in the doorways, and many women of many different
nationalities passing out.
Here Stevenson was trying to write about prostitution but if he had not used a more
blunt approach it would surely not have been allowed to be published. With him
being so subtle the reader would be able to tell what he was talking about and the
book would pass the strict publishing code. The strict rules about what is allowed to
be put in a book are an obvious sign of a hypocritical society. They were trying to
pretend that prostitution and other bad things did not happen in their streets even
though they knew perfectly well that they did.
Stevenson cleverly uses the characters to represent types of people in society, he
uses them to help portrait the central themes of the novel. Mr Utterson is a middle
age lawyer, he is someone that all the characters seem to like and he doesn t
44. The Second Treatise Of Government
In the Second Treatise of Government, Locke explains human beings right of private
property as a natural, enforceable right that men are granted with in the state of
Nature as part of his larger justification of the replacement of the state of Nature by
civil governments. The basis of Locke s interpretation of such right comes from God
s ownershipof what God creates, including both human beings and worldly
resources. While human beings ownerships of their bodies are granted directly
through God, Locke laid out 3 main conditions to be sufficed in order to justify
private appropriations of worldly resources. This paper will examine Locke s
premises regarding the state of Nature and his explanations of these conditions,
compare them with Rousseau s version of requirements for private holdings in The
Social Contract, and at the same time discuss whether each condition for private
appropriation is sufficient in his effort of justifying unlimited properties.
To begin with, Locke believes that at the state of nature, human beings are given the
right of properties, and private appropriations can occur as long as they fulfill three
main criteria. Such assumption allows Locke to discuss private properties without
the interference of other parties, including civil governments. According to Locke,
human beings and their private properties are protected by nature as God s will to
expect human beings to thrive and to develop, also driven by human beings natural
rights of living and

1.Introduction
1.1Abrasive jet machining principle:
Abrasive Jet Machining (AJM) is the removal of material from a work piece by the
application of a high speed stream of abrasive particles carried in gas medium
from a nozzle. The AJM process is different from conventional sand blasting by the
way that the abrasive is much finer and the process parameters and cutting action
are both carefully regulated. The process is used chiefly to cut intricate shapes in
hard and brittle materials which are sensitive to heat and have a tendency to chip
easily. The process is also used for drilling, de burring and cleaning operations. AJM
is fundamentally free from chatter and vibration problems due to absence of
physical tool. The cutting action is cool because the carrier gas itself serves as a
coolant and takes away the heat.
Abrasive jet machining also known as micro abrasive blasting, is a mechanical

The main components being the compressor, air filter regulator, mixing chamber,
nozzle and its holder, work holding devices and X Y table. Air from the atmosphere
is compressed by the compressor and is delivered to the mixing chamber via the
filter and regulator. The mixing chamber contains the abrasive powders and is
made to vibrate by an electric motor arrangement. Then the abrasive particles are
passed into a connecting hose leading to the nozzle. This abrasive and gas mixture
emerges from the orifice of nozzle at high velocity. The feed rate of abrasive air is
controlled by the amplitude of vibration of the mixing chamber. A pressureregulator
installed in the system controls the gas flow and

47. Private Prisons And Public Prisons
The Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), which is essentially the Enron of the
private prison industry, has long touted private prisons as an alternative to
government owned prisons. Indeed, CCA has set forth three reasons justifying the
creation of private prisons for federal inmates:
Cost Effectiveness. Private prisons are less expensive to operate and will save the
federal government millions of dollars.
Safety. Private prisons are effectively protect inmates safety.
Humane Treatment. Private prisons are modern facilities that provide humane
treatment to inmates.
Studies have shown that private prisons achieve none of these goals, and the reason
is simple: private prisons operate under a fundamentally different regulatory structure
that alters the choices and motives of its participants. Indeed, unlike their federal
counterparts, private prisons operate in a market economy where maximizing profits
is vital to sustainability and thus a driving factor in corporate decision making. Under
basic economic theory, when operational costs exceed current and future estimates,
corporations must identify ways in which to reduce such costs and therefore increase
profitability. This is precisely what happened in the private prisoncontext.
Corporations such as CCA often underestimate the cost of operating private prisons in
a manner that would increase safety and treat inmates more humanely. As a result,
operators of private prisons made the deliberate choice

Once upon a time, there was a girl name Artemis. Artemis is really good at using a
sword. Everyday after school, she would get better and better at using a sword.
Artemis started using a sword when her sister and her father had joined a bad league
after their mother had passed away. Both her sister and father persuaded Artemis to
join their league, but Artemis never insisted to join the team because she thoughtthat
she was too weak to fight. Artemis was never like her father and sister after that.
Artemis had a goal about her father and sister. Her goal was to be strong and to be
able to defeat both of them and change their minds about being in the bad side.
One day, Artemis got an invitation to join the good league. She went to the address
that was shown on the invitation card, to get to know about the league. She meets up
with this person named Shadow. He wanted to challenge her to a battle in order for
her to join the league. Even though she wasn t that strong, Shadow wanted to help
and guide her throughout her life.
Artemis was hesitant on joining the team. Shadow said, Members of the league, I

49. Essay On Medieval Castles
Castles were built as symbols of security, wealth, power and control. But, castles
weren t only for defense against the foreign invaders; they were also served as a
basic tool in preserving the king s and noble s power over the land. This essay will
be proving the hypothesis that medieval castles changed dramatically over 400 500
years due to the development of weapons used to destroy or capture them. Firstly, it
will talk about the Motte and Bailey castle, outlining a range of problems within it
and why it eventually became redundant. Secondly, it will confer about the stone
keep castle that replaced the motte and bailey castle, the problems it outlined and why
it also leveled out. Then, it will discuss about the concentric castle that took over the
stone keep castle and why they became inessential. After that, it... Show more content

Concentric castles were built in the 12th and 13th century. They were surrounded
by two sets of walls that were built at different height levels. The inner wall
provided the archers a vantage point. The symmetrical shape of the castle helped
provide a superior view for the lookout men across the neighboring country. Death
hole was the name given to the space between the two walls. If invaders/attackers
broke in, they would be trapped and killed between the two walls. For additional
protection, these castles were often surrounded by a moat where as a drawbridge
was used for entering inside the castle. The Beaumaris Castle can be found in
Wales. King Edward I first assigned most of the concentric castles. Concentric
castles soon became redundant, as they were very expensive to build and required
a lot of man power as well as labor resources. Siege warfare was mainly applied
when trying to take over the concentric castles. The castles would be destroyed due to
the bombardment from the ballista, the mangonel and the trebuchet. Also the wide
spread use of gunpowder ended the castles in

It was a warm sunny day on May 10th, and I decided to have a few of my favorite
people to surround me and make my day a lot brighter. I had invited some amazing
people over, Marilyn Monroe, Gwen Stefani, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys and Demi
Lovato. I heard the doorbell ring, I then got up excitedly and welcomed the first
guest into my rather small house. I gave Marilyn a hug, looking at her smooth and
pale complexion. The outfit she had on was stunning; it was a long white dress
with ruffles at the bottom as her top half was low cut showing off her assets. I lead
her to my favorite place in my house which was my dinner table, it featured pictures
of all of my favorite people, it was long and wide, so there were over 1000 pictures
inside the glass of the table. Marilyn and I would chat for just a little as I heard the
doorbell ring again. I got up skipping to the door opening seeing Gwen, Nicki, and
Alicia arrive together each of them had little tiny gifts in their hands that were
wrapped in silk bows. I gave them each a hug and kindly took their gifts and sat
them in the middle of the table, just before I sat down I heard Demi knock on the
door as I opened it and welcomed her in. Gwen was wearing a tight red dress that
went below her knees as she wore laced heels to tie the theme of her outfit together.
While Nicki was wearing something casual yet and a little bit of fire, it was A black

51. Togo s Economy
Years after independence, the politico economic system of Togo was strongly
influenced by French settlers, not only in the field of foreign trade and investment in
export goods but also in the monetary and budgetary policies. At that time, Togo s
economy was prosperous and its macroeconomic aggregates showed signs of growth.
Afterward in the 1980 90s, exogenous and endogenous factors had caused Togo s
economy to stagnate. Among these factors were the deterioration of the terms of
trade, the suspension of development aid from Bretton Woods Institutions (BWIs),
the CFA franc devaluation and the socio economic crisis, just to mention a few. The
failure of the four (4) consecutive five year plans had been a determining factor to

Furthermore, many researches show the intrinsic link between Economic
Development Patterns (EDPs) and the reduction of the poverty rate. HPAEs most
successful economies, especially China, have attested of this correlation meaning that
EDPs impact positively on economic growth cutting down the incidence of poverty.
To corroborate this argument as an example, the modeling of Chinese economy in the
1978 s reforms had greatly contributed to the economic recovery of China.
Therefore, beyond the economic cooperation that links Togo and China in the areas
of trade and Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs), China s EDP might be one of the
solution approaches to solve development challenges that Togo faces.
Nevertheless, it is obvious that differences may exist between China and Togo, not
only in the size of the economy but also in the political and economic systems.
Should these differences be relevant to question the EDP
52. The Gospels
The Gospels goal is to combine the gospel message with other important material as
it relates to Jesus life and teachings. Collectively to say that Jesus is the one true
Savior of the world and through him we could have eternal life.
Matthew is claimed to be between AD 80 and 100. Matthew focus was for the Jewish
Christians who were being pushed out of their communities in Galilee. It is very
important to Matthew that Jesus is the son of Abraham. The Jesus was a jew in the
sense of it all. Matthew emphasizes that the coming of Jesus was the supreme event
in history. Every circumstance including the birth, life, teaching, death, and
resurrection of Jesus was the fulfillment of the prophecy.
Mark was somewhere between the range of AD 40 and 60. Mark dramatically
highlights the major episodes of Jesus life, that prove him to be the son of God, the
great servant preacher who is ushering in God s saving reign. Mark s major theme is
recording a description of who Jesus was and the impact he had in those who came in
contact with him. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

53. Allotment And Assimilation Era
The Allotment and Assimilation Era was characterized by two different policies.
These were allotment and boarding schools. These periods happened in the time
period of about 1887 to 1934. The allotment policy approach was started with The
General Allotment Act of 1887 (Dawes Act). This was a grant of 160 acres to each
head of a family. Fewer acres were given to single people or minors. The allotted
lands then had to be held in a trust for 25 years in order for the occupant to get the
title to the land. If an Indian were to be alloted land or leave their way of life in a
tribe, they could get Citizenship. The goal was to get the Indians to adopt a civilized
life and quicken the civilizing process assimilation. This caused a change in the...

This is because this affected everyone in the tribe when a child went to boarding
school. The parents and family members were ripped away from the child. The
family members also lost their chance to pass on intergenerational knowledge to
their children that they viewed as highly important. The entire tribal community was
shaken because of the literal loss of a member. The impact on the child was even
worse. The effect was immediate and long lasting. They were essentially forced to
drop their past way of life and adopt an entirely alien culture that the tribal
community often viewed as distasteful. This acculturation caused long term
psychological impact on the families and children that were affected. The children
were put through a type of culture machine that they entered as Natives and left as
revamped Anglo citizens. This assimilation often destroyed the child s sense of
belonging in either an Anglo or Native setting because they were raised in both and
had mixed feelings about where they belonged. They often lost their Native language
and culture, and they felt a sense of shame about their Native community and culture.
All of these things add up to cause a major immediate impact on the lives of Native

Bernard Shaw
No matter if a person is a reader of Pygmalion, written by George Bernard Shaw, or
a viewer of The Makeover, it is understood both Eliza Doolittle and Elliot Doolittle
are in need of a transformation. Throughout both the book and film, both characters
were going through drastic changes in life. In the play, Pygmalion, Eliza Doolittle,
living in London England, was considered an illiterate, poor girl. Eliza is a girl that
stands at a flower shop and sells flowers. Heavy summer rain had settled into
London, and all the people were seeking shelter. Henry Higgins along with Colonel

Hannah is competing against a local weather man for a Congress position. As the
film continues, Hannah s outcome is not so great; she loses to the local weather
man. Hannah Higgins is compared to Henry Higgins, in Pygmalion, because she is
grumpy most of the time. After her recent loss, Hannah and Colleen Pickering were
back at the office reviewing. Elliot Doolittle, the local beer distributor, walked by.
He was speaking in a language nobody could understand. Hannah walked up to him
telling him his speaking was not correct. He was extremely offended by her comment
and walked away.
The local weather man, competing for the role, never got the weather right, so the
day he made his speech was not any different. He did not know of any
thunderstorms in the area, so he died from a lightning strike. Hannah Higgins was,
then, eligible to be in the race again. People would not vote for her, though, so she
had to find some way to win the race. Her perfect solution was to get Elliot
Doolittle in the race. The only problem with him was he was not well dressed and
could not speak fluently. Hannah had also offended him earlier, so the chances of
him doing this favor for her was not
