Commentary On Cyclone
Describe how you think you can make a difference on Cyclone I can positively impact Cyclone for
many reasons such as; keeping chat clean and friendly, giving out unique ideas for the server to make
the experience for players more enjoyable, thrive to become a role model for the server and to make
the network an all around awesome server. One key difference I can give to Cyclone is my creativity, I
can think of really unique ideas to add to the server. This will not only make the experience better for
players but expand the community as a whole. As being a long time player within the Cyclone
community I am quite a well known player, I want to expand my role and become a friendly staff
member who people can ask questions, so I can guide them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Have you ever been banned, kicked or muted? No I have never been banned from cyclone neither
kicked. The only problem is I might have been muted in V1/V2 but I cannot remember why, But
towards half way through V2 till now no I have never been banned/muted/kicked. This is important as
I understand the rules of the community and know what is right and wrong.
6. Do you have TS or a microphone? I prefer to stay away from TeamSpeak as I don t really enjoy it
but I do however have skype with I am on a lot so I can talk with staff on their. Also yes I do have a
microphone.
7. How active are you on cyclone? In V3 I was on for at least 3 to 4 hours a day helping the
community as player. The only reason I became less inactive was because the server I loved (prisons)
started to become less active which drove me away from the server. However as the server is resetting
and I personally know that Dwiz has out 100% effort towards V4 I will be a lot more active, helping
and guiding players within the community. I realise you need to be an active staff member to help the
drive the community into the right direction. If I become a helper on Cyclone I will only positivity
towards the network and be giving the community my all! I feel as I want to give back to the staff
team for being such amazing people helping me as a player to grow and now I want to give back and
join them on their journey to make Cyclone one of the best

Stanley Kubrick s The Shining
Although the movie I have chosen to argue as the greatest film of all time to me is not currently on
AFI s top 100 films. It is considered as one of the greatest horror films of all time. Stanley Kubrick is
one of the most talented filmmaker s in history. He has made several great movies and his vision
stands out. He is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential directors of all time. His films are
noted for their unique cinematography, attention to detail in realism. Kubrick was also known for
being a demanding perfectionist, using painstaking care with scene staging, camera work and working
closely with his actors.
The Shining is a 1980 psychological horror film, directed, produced and co written with Diane
Johnson by Stanley ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Shining pushed the camera s uses even further, Stanley Kubrick made use of the camera to shoot
a scene barely above the floor. The inventor of the Steadicam, Garrett Brown was quoted saying that
One of the most talked about shots in the picture is the eerie tracking sequence which follows Danny
as he pedals at high speed through corridor after corridor on his plastic Big Wheel tricycle. The
soundtrack explodes with noise when the wheel is on wooden flooring and is abruptly silent as it
crosses over carpet. We needed to have the lens just a few inches from the floor and to travel rapidly
just behind or ahead of the bike . There are many examples of innovative camera shots and the
Steadicam was used in the maze scene as well.
Kubrick put so much effort into making this film it s incredible. It was originally supposed to be shot
in 17 weeks but ended up taking 46 weeks. This film to me is one of the best examples of mise en
scene I have ever seen. Which help express this film s story by making a sense of time and space,
setting a mood, and showing a character s state of mind. Kubrick artfully directed the positioning and

Brass Alloy Lab Report
The main purpose in doing this experiment was to figure out how much of the percentage of Copper s
mass is in a brass alloy using a spectrophotometer that is hooked up to the laptop. Another purpose in
doing this experiment is to learn how to use the Beer s Law plots to learn how to use the equation and
get the correct concentrations. This is important in everyday context because it is important for people
who work doing many different types of jobs. Safety Information: In this lab, we used nitric acid to
reactant with copper. While this is reacting, it creates a gas called nitrogen dioxide. This is a gas that
should not be inhaled at all. It is a very toxic gas. While adding the nitric acid to the copper, it should
be done in a fume hood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The data does support this because when doing this experiment, the second part was done to figure out
how much copper was in the sample of brass alloy that we got. We found out that our sample had for
determination 1 1.75 g of Copper in the sample. In our second determination, we determined that the
sample had 1.72 g of Copper in it. Beer s Law Plot is a plot of Absorbance vs. Concentration which
should be linear. We can also use it to determine an unknown samples concentration as long as we
have the correct absorbance. A spectrophotometer helps to determine absorbances of the samples that
you have. The average amount of copper in the brass sample we got was 57.7%. This value is on the
higher side being over 50%. I believe that brass is mainly made of copper so the higher value is a good
thing. Our curve that we got for our graph is very linear. We had a correlation of 0.997 which is very
close to one. It is not perfect but it is very close. None of my points fall to far from the line either. The
EPA is lowering the allowed levels of copper in waste water because too much copper in a person s
system can be dangerous and could be toxic if too much copper is consumed (Gleason,Troyer). On my
Beer s Law Plot, the smallest concentration that can be read is 0.016 mol/L with two significant
figures. There should be at least 2 significant figures for the concentrations. Some precision may be
lost when the Beer s Law Plot is made because there is only one significant figure to base it off

Personality Tags for Birth Order
Is there a personality tag for each child, depending on their birth order? Does the family size, or even
the parents life styles, affect anything? Birth order is more than just an old wives tale about predicting
the personalities of each child in every family. Birth order, put in its proper context, is a key that can
unlock personalities and give you a new perspective on human nature. (First born?,1). Every child of
every family has a personality tag, just because of their spot on the immediate family tree. Family size
and birth order are factors that make the personality tag for the first born, middle child, last born, and
only child of each family. Family size affects every child s personality. Birth order and family size are
linked together. For example, if there are two children in a family, there is a 50% chance of being the
first born. Families with five children give each child a 20% chance of being the first born child.
Every child has a chance at being the first born, but the larger the family, the lower the chance.
Speaking of lower chances, there are fewer resources as well. If a family has many children, parental
resources are spread thinly; for example, money, time, and attention. Ethnicity, wealth, education, and
other social factors of parents also affect the family size. But, parents that are better educated,
comfortable, and wealthier, usually have fewer children, so does this mean these children have more
resources? The answer is yes. These

Suffering In The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
The following stanza from part four of Samuel Taylor Coleridge s, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
occurs just after the Mariners entire crew dropped to the ground dead. The mariner could do nothing
but watch as his dead crew lie on the deck and remember the cold, evil look they left with him. The
Mariner goes then experiences a period of suffering of his own; for he feels responsible for the death
of his crew. The stanza above shows the colossal guilt the mariner suffers with and the retribution that
he goes through for his sinful act of killing the Albatross.
As the Mariner tells his tale to the wedding guest, he mentions to him subtle details of his dead crew s
corpses that make you wonder why they are relevant to even mention. As the cold sweat leaks from
his crew members limbs, it is a metaphor for the Mariner s anxious behavior. He slowly begins to
notice the guilt he feels for the death of his crew. The Mariner then goes on to think about the look
with which they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He compares it to an orphan s curse that could drag to hell/a spirit from on high. When it says a spirit
from on high it is referring to an angel from up in heaven. So an angel that is caught with the orphan s
curse can be snatched from heaven and drug straight to hell. The Mariner then goes on to explain that
a curse found in a dead man s eye is even more horrible than the orphan s curse. This shows the
brutality and damage that has affected the Mariner, and the retribution he suffers with. The Mariner
saw this curse for seven days, seven nights, as a punishment for all he had done. Yet I could not die,
the Mariner sat in the middle of the ocean for seven days, and seven nights with the curse in a dead
men s eye and yet I could not die. The Mariner felt so much guilt, he felt as if he should die. He begins

Christianity Broadly Consists Of 2.18 Billion People Out
Christianity broadly consists of 2.18 billion people out of 200 countries who believe in the deity Jesus
Christ. Its followers, often believe Christ is the Son of the Holy Trinity and walked the earth as the
incarnate form of God. The population refers to these believers as Christians. Christians hold the
biggest amount of followers in the world compared to every other religion, so with this being said they
are people who should be studied and understood by others. Understanding Christians and being open
minded to everything they believe is something very important because the odds are every individual

Christmas is actually Christians way of celebrating the deity Jesus Christ, for that is the day they
celebrate his birth which occurred 2000 years ago. Even most non Christians at least respect Jesus as a
great moral teacher. In addition, few would argue that this one man has had more impact on the world
than any person in history. Christianity is responsible for the way our society is organized and for the
way we currently live. So extensive is the Christian contribution to our laws, our economics, our
politics, our arts, our calendar, our holidays, and our moral and cultural priorities. The concept of
universal human rights and equality comes exclusively from the biblical idea that all people are
created in the image of God. Christians even come into play when speaking about things that have
changed such as slavery and women s rights. Two thirds of the members of the American abolition
society in 1835 were Christian ministers. This was a big part in helping to stop slavery, even though
some Christians were known to own slaves Christianity itself did help to end slavery all together. Also

My Nursing Experience
At a young age, the need to excel in school was instilled within me, as I watched my mother struggle
in her attempt to earn a college degree, after putting her education on hold for many years to raise a
family. A stay at home mom became a full time student, tasks being juggled every which way and
chaos a common demeanor. My household was centered around my mother s pursuit for an education.
Being as young as I was (eight to be exact), I never understood what the big deal was or why my
mother struggled so much to become a nurse. I mean, How hard could this nursing thing really be?
Give the patient the medicine or maybe a bandaid and he s all good to go ... right?
I never struggled in school, it always came easy to me and at times too easy. Outside of school,
reading and writing was never worthy of my time as it cut into the more important play time. Reading
and writing was an effortless task and therefore my interest was little to none when it came to
partaking in the activities outside of the classroom because of my household centered around
schooling. I figured my mother could do enough studying for the both of us. I would go to school and
work on school work. I d come home to my mother and her focused on her school work. I d come
home and do my own school work. I became tired of this overwhelming impact that school work had
on my life. Why would I waste my time on something I already know how to do? Why would I read a
book that will teach me a lesson I already know?

Nature s Creatures in Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle Essay
Nature s Creatures The environment and its creatures hold a deep connection that most humans do not
have or understand. In Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle, the main characters have a rare interaction with
one of natures most cunning, versatile, hungry and unstoppable creatures: the coyote (Boyle 215).
Some of his characters hold a deeper level of connection with the coyote that can almost be seen as
paralleled and from this connection, T.C. Boyle s idea of how a Mexican immigrant and a coyote can
be related is expressed when the notion of the willingness to do anything to survive, being clever and
relentless, and though fearful are fascinating is explored. The idea that coyotes are willing do anything
to survive, even trespassing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
T.C. Boyle parallels the untamed animal, the coyote, and the Mexican immigrant, Cándido, to express
his powerful notion of surviving by any means necessary. The nature of coyotes connects to Mexican
immigrants in more instances than having the willingness to take dangerous measures to survive and
improve their lives. Like coyotes, Mexican immigrants can also be cunning and ruthless. In Delaney s
column, Pilgrim At Topanga Creek, he talks about the coyotes ability of adapting to the environment,
and that Trapping is utterly useless, because The population will simply breed up to fill the gap, so We
cannot eradicate the coyote, nor can we fence him out, we just have to Respect him as the wild
predator he is, keep your children and pets inside, leave no food source where he can access it (212

immigrant, everything he said would still make perfect sense, even if he does not consciously realize
this. Furthermore, Delaney continues in his column saying, The coyote is not to blame he is only
trying to survive, to make a living, to take advantage of the opportunity available to him and The
coyotes keep coming, breeding up the fill the gaps, moving in where the living is easy. They are
cunning, versatile, hungry and unstoppable (214 215). Through Delaney s column, Boyle is able to

Application Of Using Smart Card
Abstract The objective is to give authorized clients access to sensitive data, while ensuring the data
from others. We are planning to implement it utilizing three factor authentication scheme combines a
one time secret key plan for customer validation (one time password), biometric password and secure
flash card (smart card). Our fundamental design contemplations were security, execution,
convenience, accessibility, and scale. Biometric scan can be implemented using smart card. The
created secure flash card has tamper resistant module, which contains client validation data and
security keys, thus the system is highly secure. The point of interest of this methodology is that the
client s biometric information is not imparted to remote server. At the same time the inconvenience is
that the remote server must trust the smart card to perform legitimate confirmation which prompts
different vulnerabilities. A nonspecific and secure system is proposed to overhaul two factor
authentication to three component authentication. The transformation not just altogether enhances the
data confirmation requiring little to no effort additionally secures customer protection in disseminated
frameworks. Furthermore, this system holds a few practice accommodating properties of the
fundamental two component authentication, which we accept is of autonomous investment.

A Brief Note On The Japanese Religion Of Shintoism
Larry Guindine
World History
Mr. Alschen
September 8, 2014
Documentary Questions:
1. People tended to worship nature gods such as spirits of the earth, sky and river. As the human
communities matured and developed, local, tribal and ancestral spirits became the center of focus in
their beliefs and religious life. This leads to inferring that people did not understand natural
phenomena and thought it was a punishment for their behavior from the deities. People thought
natural phenomena was able to change based on their relationships with the deities.
2. People created a sense of community and working together. Eventually, some people began to
question their belief systems through communication and realized that they can focus more on
relationships among human beings. This led to both uniformity, dispute and separation, among people
who had different views on religion and human interaction.
3. The Japanese religion of Shintoism is most closely associated. The emperor even had to renounce
his divinity of the descendant of the sun line at the end of World War II since this religion associated
itself with the whole population of Japan, not just the royalty. To this day, many Shinto rituals are
practiced in Japan, such as wedding ceremonies at shrines and methods of protecting the people from
pollution, such as cleansing themselves with water before entering the gates of a Shinto shrine, are
still practiced.

Characteristics Of A Successful Time Period During Late...
The traits that define a successful time period in late Imperial China are necessary expansion, unifying
the people, and the construction of an effective and incorrupt political structure. The effects of meeting
these criteria is sustained influence in following Chinese time periods both short term and long term,
as other rulers will benefit from what their predecessors have accomplished, or try to imitate
successful policies. As a team, the Kangxi emperor and his successor, the Yongzheng emperor, were
able to achieve all of the goals for a prosperous period in Chinese history. Although it was a relatively
short period, the Kangxi and Yongzheng emperor s times on the Qing throne were extremely
complementary, and ultimately came together to form the most successful time period in late Imperial
China.
The Kangxi emperor s greatest contributions to the Qing Dynasty were his impressive military forces
used to expand his lands and keep peace within them, and his ability to establish a foundation for
order in those lands. The Kangxi emperor was on the throne for sixty one years, and brought
expansion and a stable government to the Manchu Qing dynasty by integrating Manchu and Chinese

The Theme of Fatalism in Antigone
Tragedies involve a regular person experiencing a reversal in fortune because he or she results in a
catharsis arousing fear and pity of the audience. In Greek tragedies, fatalism plays a dominant role in
doing so as one is not a free agent because future(in tragedies, reversal of fortune) is predetermined
even if one knows and attempts to avoid it.
Antigone is the daughter of the Oedipus and the sister of Polyneices and Eteocles. King Creon passed
a royal edict banning anyone from burying disgraced Polyneices dead body.
Antigone is portrayed as a heroine rebel who does not fear forces from governments, has a different
mindset to that of Ismene, her submissive sister. She made the choice of burying his brother
Polyneices body that cost her life instead of leaving it in the open.
When fate puts her in this particular situation, she is forced to defy Creon s edict because she had to
follow the God s law which dictates all dead bodies have to be buried otherwise they will wander the
earth ad infinitum. There appears to be a choice for Antigone, but her mindset was pre programmed
such that fate already chose the path for her even if she believed the choice was made by her free will.
Antigone is also fully aware of her consequences and acknowledges her death and her supposed fate
as it is noted in a conversation between Antigone and Ismene:
ISMENE
O sister, scorn me not, let me but share
Thy work of piety, and with thee die.

Factors Affecting The Human Capacity
Introduction:
The experiment involves test subjects with different heights blowing into same elasticity balloons in
one breath to discover if there are any correlations between human s vital capacity and height. This
experiment is categorized as biology as vital capacity is due to lungs and lungs are organs in a human
body. Vital capacity is the amount of air that can be forcibly expelled from the lungs after breathing in
as deeply as possible. The vital capacity is about 4,800 mL (4.8L) for an average human, which is the
total amount of air that can be expired after fully inhaling. The vital capacity is= approximately 80
percent of total lung capacity. = Tidal volume + inspiratory reserve volume + expiratory reserve
volume The total lung capacity (TLC) is the volume of air contained in the lungs after maximal
inspiration plus residual volume and for an average male is around 6000ml (6L). To remain a fair test,
many factors could affect one s vital capacity. Pregnancy for woman would decreases her vital
capacity as during pregnancy the diaphragm is compressed by the uterus, which decreases total lung
capacity. Pulmonary diseases such as asthma, Bronchitis, Common Cold, Lung cancer and other
diseases can also affect vital capacity. Asthma restricts the airway allowing less air to pass through to
their lungs which unable their lungs to stretch as much. Previous researches has shown woodwind and
digeridoo players have larger lung capacity due to their experience and

Shipping And Environmental Pollution
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES:
The objectives of the study are as follows:
To study the impact of shipping on the global environment.
To study the causes and measures of shipping in mitigating the environment pollution.
4. METHODOLOGY:
The researcher has used the data and information which are already available. Based on the
requirements of the current research and also based the specifications of the regulatory bodies of the
world, the causes and measures of shipping in mitigating the environment pollution and also the
impact of shipping on the global environment have been studied.
5. SHIPS AND SHIPPING:
To discuss the relation among shipping, the environment, and sustainable development, it is useful to
define certain terminology. The main focus of shipping is on commercial ships, although many of the

The different regulations also require definitions of a ship. Different definitions exist, although
according to the glossary of the US Navy, a boat usually refers to small vessels that are often open,
whereas ships are vessels of considerable size that are intended for deep water navigation. A ship can
also be defined by its size: vessels longer than 12 m and wider than 4 m are referred to as ships, and
smaller vessels are known as boats. Common ship types can be identified according to their type of

End Of Watch Chapter 2 Analysis
Chapter 2 continues talking about the different types of cameras and lenses involved in film making
Film, then, is a tool that can be applied to time in the same ways that... revealing natural phenomena
that invisible to the human eye. Slow motion, fast motion, and time lapse photography make
comprehensible events that happen either too quickly or too slowly for us to perceive them... (94).
People who may have no clue in either film making are surely still aware of the terms slow motion,
fast motion and time lapse. These terms are pretty self explanatory that are useful features that often
are implemented in films to add those extra effects. Director Ayer unfortunately does not use any of
these features in End of Watch, but still creates a masterpiece ... Show more content on

The sociopolitics portion Monaco mentions, deals with in the film two police officer partners who
become more than coworkers they become brothers in a sense. Director Ayer does a great job when it
comes to the way the film is integrated with human experience in general. To start, the police officers
Brian Taylor (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Mike Zavala (Michael Pena) are set out on duty in a tough
neighborhood. It s often mentioned how black neighborhoods are always the toughest neighborhoods
and have high crime rates. We can see in the film how the human experience comes into play; first
scene starts with a call to an African Americans house where the officers are set into a fist fight right
off the back. Although the movies is not just based off African American s, it also deals with Mexican
Americans and their drug cartel. If we were to base off the human experience in general than this
movie would have a negative effect on the human population. I m sure director Ayer is aware of the
characters chosen and understands the significance of the film. The psychopolitics portion of Monaco
s explanation in his text deals with our own personal experience and specific details. For my personal
experience this movie was an eye opener, director Ayer and his work of art he created with this film
was astonishing. Me being a criminal justice major, I got a sense of what life on duty was like and
director Ayer was

The Second And Final Component Of The Flavian Dynasty
The third and final component of the Flavian dynasty is Caesar Domitianus Augustus, the self
proclaimed God and ruthless dictator who reigned from AD 81 to 96. Domitian is the youngest son of
the emperor Vespasian and Flavia Domitilla. He was the less favored son of Vespasian, his father
valued his heir to the thrown and Domitian s older brother, Titus. Domitian s youth was largely spent
living in the shadows of Titus. As a child Domitian lived on rural land that his father acquired,
spending most of his time in his home on Pomegranate Street, which was later turned into a temple of
the Flavian family. Domitian spent a degraded childhood consisting of struggles with poverty and
infamy. He became accustomed to rural life as a child and when he fled from Rome whenever possible
in order to sulk in isolation and stab fireflies. After the death of Vitellius when he was fighting a war
up against Vespasian, Domitian gained the title as Ceaser. However, Domitian only held the name as
Ceaser, he appointed a colleague to handle all Judicial decisions. In order for Domitian to gain a
military reputation that would outshine his brother Titus, he devised a pointless expedition from Gaul
to Germany, which was dismissed by his father s friends. As a result, Domitian was reprimanded and
failed at gaining a good military reputation. Domitian constantly turned to the idea of competition in
order to gain power. An example of this is shown when Domitian wanted to offer soldiers double

A Blonde Curtain Of Hair
A blonde curtain of hair stands between me and the girl, who keeps her head down and tucked into her
knees as if ashamed to be near me. My eyes dart around the room, but all I see is black, black walls,
black floors, and the black dress draped over the blonde girl s pale frame.
She looks up and my sister s face is the one that greets me. Emma, I want to say Em, what s going on?
But my lips won t move. No sound is heard throughout the room until I hear her voice Why Alice!
Why did you try to save me! Maybe you could have saved yourself! Tears roll down her face as she
stands walking to where I lay in my wooden coffin . She walks over to me and closes the case.
You failed me.
Those words echo through my mind again and again as I wake, shooting up from my cot, my breath
heavy and my entire body damp with sweat.
I try to shake off the memory of the dream, reminding myself won t give me anything but guilt but it
stays with me haunting my every thought.
I try and take care of my morning routine like always but the memory of the dream continues to
consume my thoughts, I climb to the top of my bed frame and peer out the tiny window at the lawn,
thinking that the small bit of sunlight I can get will help me clear my brain, but I m just reminded of a
time where we would be allowed out there. The privilege was revoked years ago after information
about a planned insurgence in the yard was leaked. I sighed, my toes curling with the desire to sink

Business Risks And Inherent Risks
Business Risks and Inherent Risks
Starbucks success depends significantly on the value of their brands and failure to preserve their
value, either through their actions or those of their business partners, could have a negative impact on
their financial results. Brand value is based in part on consumer perceptions on a variety of subjective
qualities. Business incidents, whether one time or recurring and whether originating from Starbucks or
their business partners, that weaken consumer trust, such as actual or perceived breaches of privacy,
contaminated food, recalls or other potential incidents discussed in this risk factors section,
particularly if the incidents receive considerable publicity, including rapidly through social or digital
media, or result in litigation, can significantly reduce brand value and have a negative impact on their
financial results.
The unauthorized access, theft or destruction of customer or employee personal, financial or other data
or of Starbucks proprietary or confidential information that is stored in their information systems
could impact their reputation and brand and expose them to potential liability and loss of revenues.

Essay on Satire in Voltaire s Candide
Use of Satire in Voltaire s Candide
Voltaire successfully uses satire as a means of conveying his opinions about life. In his novel,
Candide, Voltaire satirizes the philosopher Liebnitz s philosophy that this is the best of all possible
worlds. In the novel, the perpetually optimistic and naive character, Candide, travels around the world,
having various experiences that prove, at least to the reader, that evil does exist.
In one particular passage, Voltaire uses explicit diction, exaggerated details and manipulated syntax in
order to contrast the optimist s romantic view of battle with the horrible reality that is war. Voltaire s
grossly exaggerated details give a somewhat comical description of an ... Show more content on

The soldiers dispose of men s lives as if they were worthless, for the purpose of settling a
disagreement. After fighting, the two kings celebrate their respective victories by having Te Deums
sung. The kings have the audacity to celebrate after commanding their armies to kill innocent people.
They congratulate themselves after the violent bloodbath even though neither side has won. Later,
Candide passes through a town that has been destroyed by the Bulgars in strict accordance with the
laws of war. Voltaire suggests that the Bulgars burnt the town to the ground only because they were
blindly following the laws of war. The soldiers obey their unfounded orders without giving any
consideration to the well being of innocent people.
Voltaire s diction attacks Leibnitz s philosophy that this is the best of all possible worlds; his words
show a stark contrast between the optimist s view of war and the horrible reality. The fine , brisk and
brilliant armies produce a harmony as they remove rascals from the best of worlds . In an attempt to
romanticize the situation, the optimist refers to dying men as if they were harmless miscreants rather
than suffering humans. The diction suggests a fine performance rather

Equifax Case
Issue Analysis An issue is described as a matter that is in dispute where unique perspectives are held
in regards to what should be done (Sexty, 2017). One of the main issues that still plagues TD is data
security and privacy. As a financial institution that heavily depends on telecommunication, the impact
of a data breach could potentially be catastrophic. Examples of a negative impact include
unintentional releases of confidential information or financial loss all deteriorate the public trust and
sustainability of the bank (Corporate Responsibility, n.d.). However, it is evident that disaster can
strike at any time. No matter how much security is implemented, a hacker just needs to find one way
through and that is exactly what happened to a credit company called Equifax. Hackers were able to
break an Equifax online tool and access personal data of more than 143 million customers (Wattles
and Larson, 2017).
Due to this huge data breach, TD is recently opening a new office in Israel in order to attract the
country s top cybersecurity talent. The bank plans to invest between $3 million to $5 million in its Tel
Aviv office annually (Ligaya, 2017). This showcases that TD is actively taking advantage of global

Self-Destruction In The Gargoyle And Walk To Morning
Society often fail to understand and see the mental pain that individuals carry throughout their lives.
Some people bear its burden, while others suffer greatly because of it, to the point of choosing self
destruction. The narrators from The Gargoyle (Davidson) and Walk to Morning (Boyden) both
experience this pain that ultimately sets them on a course to a deep pit. They survive their near deaths
and later encounter unique life changing people. As a result, they become better individuals. In the
Gargoyle , the narrator lacks a nurturing childhood and is blamed by the grandmother for causing his
mother s death: Her bitterness towards me towards me, as the cause of her daughter s death, was
obvious (Davidson, p.9). He is later transferred to live with his drug dealing uncle and aunt who only
takes him because of promised government cheques. Eventually he becomes an addicted drug user.
Similarly, in his speech Walk to Morning , Joseph Boyden described how his pain from depression and
drunkenness, coupled with the break up from a girl, set him off to end his own life. All I knew was
that I d just become too scared to live (Boyden). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

influence of alcohol. His car explodes after a crash, burning his body beyond recognition. My flesh
began to singe as if I were a scrap of meat newly thrown on the barbecue (Davidson, p.3). He,
however, pulls through and lives. Boyden also met with a severe accident that nearly ended his life.
His depression and drunkenness made him choose to end it all by stepping in front of a fast moving
car. They found me lodged under the car of an older woman who was near hysteria (Boyden). He was
clinically dead as his heart actually stopped. And yet, for some reason no doctor at the scene dared

The Importance Of Serving As A Naval Officer
One of the most interesting and, at times, challenging aspects of serving as a Naval Officer is working
with a team of people from a diverse background. The sailors I have worked with come from all over
the United States, and even some from other countries. While this has led to a rich experience, it
sometimes presented a leadership challenge. What I found out quickly was that every sailor
approached his or her service in the Navy slightly different. Some sailors served because a relative
did, some to pay for college, and some joined to see the world. The more I spoke with sailors, the
more I understood the importance for me, as a leader, to not only know the people I was leading, but
also to try to understand their perspective. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He drew on his own experiences, both inside and outside the Navy. Much of what he believed was
based on his wife s experience as a high school teacher. As much as I tried to convince him, it was to
no avail, because he had a set of beliefs about discipline that guided every decision he made.
What I understand know, after reading Thomas Kuhn s The Structure of Scientific Revolutions (1996)
was that his paradigm about discipline was different from mine. In fact, our paradigms were what
Kuhn (1996) describes as incommensurable. The idea of incommensurability accounts for the
different way that my commander and I viewed the world (Kuhn, 1996). Our paradigms about
discipline were so different that we could not even really have a conversation about it without one of
us getting angry or frustrated. At the time I did not understand this concept, and it left me confused
about how he could approach a situation in a way that I viewed as harsh and unfair. Eventually, we
were able to understand each other, and move forward, and eventually work together to find the best
solution to future problems. We came to an understanding that we felt differently sometimes, but
began to try to view the situation from each other s point of view. Had I possessed the knowledge that
I do now about Kuhn s ideas, I would have immediately understood the problem, and been able to
articulate my views to him and help us both understand that

Jack The Ripper Mo Analysis
MO, Modus operandi is specific to the killer s patterns and routines. A signature is different from the
MO in that the signature is the expression of underlying need of the offender and can be both a way to
link crimes and to draw inferences about the psychological needs of the offender (Gerbeth). Turvey,
however, points out that the signature and the MO can intersect: Signature and MO needs may be
satisfied by the same behavior. As such professionals are able to determine if similar cases are
perpetrated by the same offender by the presence of a signature. As a science, it is still a relatively new
field with few set boundaries or definitions. Its practitioners don t always agree on methodology or
even terminology (Winerman). There is debate among analysists whom argue that the MO remains
constant throughout an offender s serial career and that it is the signature that evolves. The other side
of the argument advocates for the opposite: being that the MO evolves and the signature remains
constant. No matter the argument, the MO and signature is part of an offender s basic profile
comprising the offender s methods of selection and execution. ... Show more content on

Jhumpa Lahiri Culture
In Jhumpa Lahiri s The Namesake, published in 2003, food is a ubiquitous motif that plays a crucial
role in the main characters transition from life in Calcutta to life in Boston. When Bengali immigrant
Ashima Ganguli first arrives in Boston, she feels very isolated from the American community,
knowing nobody but her husband. She tries to find solace in these early stages of her life in America
by maintaining a pure, untarnished version of her Bengali culture in her own home on Pemberton
Road. Her unwelcoming attitude towards American culture is reflected by her desire to cook Indian
snack foods void of all influence from Western ingredients. However, her inability to emulate the
authenticity of her favorite Indian snacks only makes her feel ... Show more content on

By crafting Bengali food, Ashima can control its ingredients and recreate familiar scents and tastes
that remind her of her native country. Both the familiarity and control that cooking instills in Ashima
make the practice an essential part of her immigrant experience and encourage her to utilize it as a link
between her Bengali roots and her family in America. However, through her continuous
nonfulfillment of her goals to perfectly emulate dishes like Jhal Muri and lamb curry, Jhumpa Lahiri is
suggesting that moving to America causes a dilution of immigrants native culture that extends beyond
the healing powers of mere food. Even though her outlook might seem somewhat negative at first
glance, Lahiri is not making a pessimistic point about the overall process of immigration. Instead, she
is arguing that the blending of cultural lines is both essential and unavoidable for a smooth, healthy

Asthma Case Study Essay
This paper will review a case study of a 30 year old patient who has been diagnosed with asthma and
allergies. The patient was put on the medications; albuterol, (Proventil), salmeterol (Sere vent), and
montelukast (Singular). The patient s provider told the patient to come back in two weeks for follow
up. If at that time she is still wheezing, he would put her on an oral corticosteroid (Kelleher, Sheryl
MS, CFNP, Class Assignment). This paper will define what asthma and its pathophysiology is, as well
as review the patients prescribed medications of albuterol, salmeterol, and montelukast. Lastly, a
review of corticosteroids and their adverse effects, dosing, and other implications will be discussed.
Asthma can be defined as a chronic pulmonary disease that involves inflammation and
bronchospasms. To fully understand asthma and its attributes, one must understand the
pathophysiology of asthma, including the lower respiratory tract, and the bronchiolar smooth muscle.
Stated simply, the major role of the respiratory system is to bring oxygen into the human body, and
remove carbon dioxide (Adams, Holland, Urban,). This is nonetheless respiration, or the exchange of
gases. Another phenomenon occurring in our respiratory system is ventilation. This is when the air
moves in and out of the lungs.
Bronchiolar smooth muscle is located in the Bronchiole and plays a very important role in the
physiology as well. They either contract or relax. Relaxation of the bronchiole smooth

Stealing Carol Ann Duffy Essay
In the poem Stealing by Carol Ann Duffy the speaker attempts to steal the intangible emotions of
others. The speaker does not steal for material gain, rather for emotional gain. The speaker is
ambiguous, (henceforth referred to as he ) and appears to be answering a question. In this dramatic
monologue Duffy explores violent and self destructive behavior in order to impart the speaker s
desolate attitude towards life.
Duffy uses abrupt, and violent language to communicate the discord in the speaker s life. my breath
ripped / out in rags (18 19) is a violent statement that is disjointed through enjambment; this technique
of ripping apart the sentences to different lines adds to the feeling of discontinuity in the speakers life.
This sense of discontinuity gives the reader a feeling of discontent. The self destructive tone is mixed
with a sneering attitude to create the impression of being an outcast. The Speaker seems to be ... Show

that Carol Ann Duffy is conveying the idea that his mind is frozen or not moving, stationary in its

Regulating the New Zealand Electricity Industry
Laws 437 Research and Writing Topic #2: The application of the Commerce Act to the electricity
industry Regulating the New Zealand electricity industry no longer just Ohm s law Emily Wu
Electricity is a problematic commodity. Unlike other goods and services be those vaccines, education
or tennis rackets the life of electricity is transient and without technology capable of storing it, supply
must meet demand instantaneously. Due to the inherently unreliable nature of demand forecasts (e.g.
an unexpected cold front leads to a demand spike as people turn on their heaters), the grid must also
have the capacity to reach peak demand at all times. In addition to these complicated physical
problems, the location of New Zealand s largest demand centres compared largest generation centres
means there are several infrastructural issues as well. This essay will briefly examine the industry s
regulatory history and discern how the Commerce Act 1986 fits into this regulatory context. The
ability of Part 2 to control generators in net pivotal situations will also be briefly scrutinized. Structure
of the industry The electricity industry can be split 4 ways: 1. Generation: converting other energy
sources (e.g. coal) into electrical energy. 2. Transmission: transferring electricity to local substations.
3. Distribution: delivers electricity from transmission system to consumers. 4. Retail: companies who
buy electricity from the wholesale market and sell it to

  • 2. Commentary On Cyclone Describe how you think you can make a difference on Cyclone I can positively impact Cyclone for many reasons such as; keeping chat clean and friendly, giving out unique ideas for the server to make the experience for players more enjoyable, thrive to become a role model for the server and to make the network an all around awesome server. One key difference I can give to Cyclone is my creativity, I can think of really unique ideas to add to the server. This will not only make the experience better for players but expand the community as a whole. As being a long time player within the Cyclone community I am quite a well known player, I want to expand my role and become a friendly staff member who people can ask questions, so I can guide them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Have you ever been banned, kicked or muted? No I have never been banned from cyclone neither kicked. The only problem is I might have been muted in V1/V2 but I cannot remember why, But towards half way through V2 till now no I have never been banned/muted/kicked. This is important as I understand the rules of the community and know what is right and wrong. 6. Do you have TS or a microphone? I prefer to stay away from TeamSpeak as I don t really enjoy it but I do however have skype with I am on a lot so I can talk with staff on their. Also yes I do have a microphone. 7. How active are you on cyclone? In V3 I was on for at least 3 to 4 hours a day helping the community as player. The only reason I became less inactive was because the server I loved (prisons) started to become less active which drove me away from the server. However as the server is resetting and I personally know that Dwiz has out 100% effort towards V4 I will be a lot more active, helping and guiding players within the community. I realise you need to be an active staff member to help the drive the community into the right direction. If I become a helper on Cyclone I will only positivity towards the network and be giving the community my all! I feel as I want to give back to the staff team for being such amazing people helping me as a player to grow and now I want to give back and join them on their journey to make Cyclone one of the best ... • 3. Stanley Kubrick s The Shining Although the movie I have chosen to argue as the greatest film of all time to me is not currently on AFI s top 100 films. It is considered as one of the greatest horror films of all time. Stanley Kubrick is one of the most talented filmmaker s in history. He has made several great movies and his vision stands out. He is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential directors of all time. His films are noted for their unique cinematography, attention to detail in realism. Kubrick was also known for being a demanding perfectionist, using painstaking care with scene staging, camera work and working closely with his actors. The Shining is a 1980 psychological horror film, directed, produced and co written with Diane Johnson by Stanley ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Shining pushed the camera s uses even further, Stanley Kubrick made use of the camera to shoot a scene barely above the floor. The inventor of the Steadicam, Garrett Brown was quoted saying that One of the most talked about shots in the picture is the eerie tracking sequence which follows Danny as he pedals at high speed through corridor after corridor on his plastic Big Wheel tricycle. The soundtrack explodes with noise when the wheel is on wooden flooring and is abruptly silent as it crosses over carpet. We needed to have the lens just a few inches from the floor and to travel rapidly just behind or ahead of the bike . There are many examples of innovative camera shots and the Steadicam was used in the maze scene as well. Kubrick put so much effort into making this film it s incredible. It was originally supposed to be shot in 17 weeks but ended up taking 46 weeks. This film to me is one of the best examples of mise en scene I have ever seen. Which help express this film s story by making a sense of time and space, setting a mood, and showing a character s state of mind. Kubrick artfully directed the positioning and movement of actors, as well as objects, in his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Brass Alloy Lab Report The main purpose in doing this experiment was to figure out how much of the percentage of Copper s mass is in a brass alloy using a spectrophotometer that is hooked up to the laptop. Another purpose in doing this experiment is to learn how to use the Beer s Law plots to learn how to use the equation and get the correct concentrations. This is important in everyday context because it is important for people who work doing many different types of jobs. Safety Information: In this lab, we used nitric acid to reactant with copper. While this is reacting, it creates a gas called nitrogen dioxide. This is a gas that should not be inhaled at all. It is a very toxic gas. While adding the nitric acid to the copper, it should be done in a fume hood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The data does support this because when doing this experiment, the second part was done to figure out how much copper was in the sample of brass alloy that we got. We found out that our sample had for determination 1 1.75 g of Copper in the sample. In our second determination, we determined that the sample had 1.72 g of Copper in it. Beer s Law Plot is a plot of Absorbance vs. Concentration which should be linear. We can also use it to determine an unknown samples concentration as long as we have the correct absorbance. A spectrophotometer helps to determine absorbances of the samples that you have. The average amount of copper in the brass sample we got was 57.7%. This value is on the higher side being over 50%. I believe that brass is mainly made of copper so the higher value is a good thing. Our curve that we got for our graph is very linear. We had a correlation of 0.997 which is very close to one. It is not perfect but it is very close. None of my points fall to far from the line either. The EPA is lowering the allowed levels of copper in waste water because too much copper in a person s system can be dangerous and could be toxic if too much copper is consumed (Gleason,Troyer). On my Beer s Law Plot, the smallest concentration that can be read is 0.016 mol/L with two significant figures. There should be at least 2 significant figures for the concentrations. Some precision may be lost when the Beer s Law Plot is made because there is only one significant figure to base it off ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Personality Tags for Birth Order Is there a personality tag for each child, depending on their birth order? Does the family size, or even the parents life styles, affect anything? Birth order is more than just an old wives tale about predicting the personalities of each child in every family. Birth order, put in its proper context, is a key that can unlock personalities and give you a new perspective on human nature. (First born?,1). Every child of every family has a personality tag, just because of their spot on the immediate family tree. Family size and birth order are factors that make the personality tag for the first born, middle child, last born, and only child of each family. Family size affects every child s personality. Birth order and family size are linked together. For example, if there are two children in a family, there is a 50% chance of being the first born. Families with five children give each child a 20% chance of being the first born child. Every child has a chance at being the first born, but the larger the family, the lower the chance. Speaking of lower chances, there are fewer resources as well. If a family has many children, parental resources are spread thinly; for example, money, time, and attention. Ethnicity, wealth, education, and other social factors of parents also affect the family size. But, parents that are better educated, comfortable, and wealthier, usually have fewer children, so does this mean these children have more resources? The answer is yes. These ... • 6. Suffering In The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner The following stanza from part four of Samuel Taylor Coleridge s, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner occurs just after the Mariners entire crew dropped to the ground dead. The mariner could do nothing but watch as his dead crew lie on the deck and remember the cold, evil look they left with him. The Mariner goes then experiences a period of suffering of his own; for he feels responsible for the death of his crew. The stanza above shows the colossal guilt the mariner suffers with and the retribution that he goes through for his sinful act of killing the Albatross. As the Mariner tells his tale to the wedding guest, he mentions to him subtle details of his dead crew s corpses that make you wonder why they are relevant to even mention. As the cold sweat leaks from his crew members limbs, it is a metaphor for the Mariner s anxious behavior. He slowly begins to notice the guilt he feels for the death of his crew. The Mariner then goes on to think about the look with which they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He compares it to an orphan s curse that could drag to hell/a spirit from on high. When it says a spirit from on high it is referring to an angel from up in heaven. So an angel that is caught with the orphan s curse can be snatched from heaven and drug straight to hell. The Mariner then goes on to explain that a curse found in a dead man s eye is even more horrible than the orphan s curse. This shows the brutality and damage that has affected the Mariner, and the retribution he suffers with. The Mariner saw this curse for seven days, seven nights, as a punishment for all he had done. Yet I could not die, the Mariner sat in the middle of the ocean for seven days, and seven nights with the curse in a dead men s eye and yet I could not die. Christians hold the biggest amount of followers in the world compared to every other religion, so with this being said they are people who should be studied and understood by others. Christmas is actually Christians way of celebrating the deity Jesus Christ, for that is the day they celebrate his birth which occurred 2000 years ago. Even most non Christians at least respect Jesus as a great moral teacher. In addition, few would argue that this one man has had more impact on the world than any person in history. Christianity is responsible for the way our society is organized and for the way we currently live. So extensive is the Christian contribution to our laws, our economics, our politics, our arts, our calendar, our holidays, and our moral and cultural priorities. The concept of universal human rights and equality comes exclusively from the biblical idea that all people are created in the image of God. Christians even come into play when speaking about things that have changed such as slavery and women s rights. Two thirds of the members of the American abolition society in 1835 were Christian ministers. This was a big part in helping to stop slavery, even though some Christians were known to own slaves Christianity itself did help to end slavery all together. • 8. My Nursing Experience At a young age, the need to excel in school was instilled within me, as I watched my mother struggle in her attempt to earn a college degree, after putting her education on hold for many years to raise a family. A stay at home mom became a full time student, tasks being juggled every which way and chaos a common demeanor. My household was centered around my mother s pursuit for an education. Being as young as I was (eight to be exact), I never understood what the big deal was or why my mother struggled so much to become a nurse. I mean, How hard could this nursing thing really be? Give the patient the medicine or maybe a bandaid and he s all good to go ... right? I never struggled in school, it always came easy to me and at times too easy. Outside of school, reading and writing was never worthy of my time as it cut into the more important play time. Reading and writing was an effortless task and therefore my interest was little to none when it came to partaking in the activities outside of the classroom because of my household centered around schooling. I figured my mother could do enough studying for the both of us. I would go to school and work on school work. I d come home to my mother and her focused on her school work. I d come home and do my own school work. I became tired of this overwhelming impact that school work had on my life. Why would I waste my time on something I already know how to do? Why would I read a book that will teach me a lesson I already know? ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Nature s Creatures in Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle Essay Nature s Creatures The environment and its creatures hold a deep connection that most humans do not have or understand. In Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle, the main characters have a rare interaction with one of natures most cunning, versatile, hungry and unstoppable creatures: the coyote (Boyle 215). Some of his characters hold a deeper level of connection with the coyote that can almost be seen as paralleled and from this connection, T.C. Boyle s idea of how a Mexican immigrant and a coyote can be related is expressed when the notion of the willingness to do anything to survive, being clever and relentless, and though fearful are fascinating is explored. The idea that coyotes are willing do anything to survive, even trespassing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... T.C. Boyle parallels the untamed animal, the coyote, and the Mexican immigrant, Cándido, to express his powerful notion of surviving by any means necessary. The nature of coyotes connects to Mexican immigrants in more instances than having the willingness to take dangerous measures to survive and improve their lives. Like coyotes, Mexican immigrants can also be cunning and ruthless. In Delaney s column, Pilgrim At Topanga Creek, he talks about the coyotes ability of adapting to the environment, and that Trapping is utterly useless, because The population will simply breed up to fill the gap, so We cannot eradicate the coyote, nor can we fence him out, we just have to Respect him as the wild predator he is, keep your children and pets inside, leave no food source where he can access it (212 214). Although Delaney is clearly talking about coyotes, if the word coyote was switched to Mexican immigrant, everything he said would still make perfect sense, even if he does not consciously realize this. Furthermore, Delaney continues in his column saying, The coyote is not to blame he is only trying to survive, to make a living, to take advantage of the opportunity available to him and The coyotes keep coming, breeding up the fill the gaps, moving in where the living is easy. They are cunning, versatile, hungry and unstoppable (214 215). Through Delaney s column, Boyle is able to seamlessly talk about the argument of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Application Of Using Smart Card Abstract The objective is to give authorized clients access to sensitive data, while ensuring the data from others. We are planning to implement it utilizing three factor authentication scheme combines a one time secret key plan for customer validation (one time password), biometric password and secure flash card (smart card). Our fundamental design contemplations were security, execution, convenience, accessibility, and scale. Biometric scan can be implemented using smart card. The created secure flash card has tamper resistant module, which contains client validation data and security keys, thus the system is highly secure. The point of interest of this methodology is that the client s biometric information is not imparted to remote server. At the same time the inconvenience is that the remote server must trust the smart card to perform legitimate confirmation which prompts different vulnerabilities. A nonspecific and secure system is proposed to overhaul two factor authentication to three component authentication. The transformation not just altogether enhances the data confirmation requiring little to no effort additionally secures customer protection in disseminated frameworks. Furthermore, this system holds a few practice accommodating properties of the fundamental two component authentication, which we accept is of autonomous investment. I. • 13. A Brief Note On The Japanese Religion Of Shintoism Larry Guindine World History Mr. Alschen September 8, 2014 Documentary Questions: 1. People tended to worship nature gods such as spirits of the earth, sky and river. As the human communities matured and developed, local, tribal and ancestral spirits became the center of focus in their beliefs and religious life. This leads to inferring that people did not understand natural phenomena and thought it was a punishment for their behavior from the deities. People thought natural phenomena was able to change based on their relationships with the deities. 2. People created a sense of community and working together. Eventually, some people began to question their belief systems through communication and realized that they can focus more on relationships among human beings. This led to both uniformity, dispute and separation, among people who had different views on religion and human interaction. 3. The Japanese religion of Shintoism is most closely associated. The emperor even had to renounce his divinity of the descendant of the sun line at the end of World War II since this religion associated itself with the whole population of Japan, not just the royalty. To this day, many Shinto rituals are practiced in Japan, such as wedding ceremonies at shrines and methods of protecting the people from pollution, such as cleansing themselves with water before entering the gates of a Shinto shrine, are still practiced. 4. • 16. The Theme of Fatalism in Antigone Tragedies involve a regular person experiencing a reversal in fortune because he or she results in a catharsis arousing fear and pity of the audience. In Greek tragedies, fatalism plays a dominant role in doing so as one is not a free agent because future(in tragedies, reversal of fortune) is predetermined even if one knows and attempts to avoid it. Antigone is the daughter of the Oedipus and the sister of Polyneices and Eteocles. King Creon passed a royal edict banning anyone from burying disgraced Polyneices dead body. Antigone is portrayed as a heroine rebel who does not fear forces from governments, has a different mindset to that of Ismene, her submissive sister. She made the choice of burying his brother Polyneices body that cost her life instead of leaving it in the open. When fate puts her in this particular situation, she is forced to defy Creon s edict because she had to follow the God s law which dictates all dead bodies have to be buried otherwise they will wander the earth ad infinitum. There appears to be a choice for Antigone, but her mindset was pre programmed such that fate already chose the path for her even if she believed the choice was made by her free will. Antigone is also fully aware of her consequences and acknowledges her death and her supposed fate as it is noted in a conversation between Antigone and Ismene: ISMENE O sister, scorn me not, let me but share Thy work of piety, and with thee die. Factors Affecting The Human Capacity Introduction: The experiment involves test subjects with different heights blowing into same elasticity balloons in one breath to discover if there are any correlations between human s vital capacity and height. This experiment is categorized as biology as vital capacity is due to lungs and lungs are organs in a human body. Vital capacity is the amount of air that can be forcibly expelled from the lungs after breathing in as deeply as possible. The vital capacity is about 4,800 mL (4.8L) for an average human, which is the total amount of air that can be expired after fully inhaling. The vital capacity is= approximately 80 percent of total lung capacity. = Tidal volume + inspiratory reserve volume + expiratory reserve volume The total lung capacity (TLC) is the volume of air contained in the lungs after maximal inspiration plus residual volume and for an average male is around 6000ml (6L). To remain a fair test, many factors could affect one s vital capacity. Pregnancy for woman would decreases her vital capacity as during pregnancy the diaphragm is compressed by the uterus, which decreases total lung capacity. Pulmonary diseases such as asthma, Bronchitis, Common Cold, Lung cancer and other diseases can also affect vital capacity.
