The proposed study would be a cause and effect correlation study because I want to compare the
results of students with honors class education to those who are in special group setting (namely
gifted), where all members of their class are high achievers.
The method I would use for my study will be a quasi experimental design based on non
equivalent group design. This will be used because it requires a pretest and post test for my
treatment (Gifted) and comparison group (Honors), and I will be working with established intact
groups. I chose this type of design since I will be using comparable classrooms. I will also

Heat fracture is when an increase in volume is observed, due to an increase in temperature. Simply
meaning that while a material is being heated, the rise in temperature causes it to take up more
