A Research Study On Relational Database Technology
Abstract. In this report I will introduce the Memcached technology and provide more details about
it. In addition, I will explain how it works and how it differs than relational database technology.
Furthermore, I will use the finding of the paper Performance Evaluation of a Clustered Memcached
to present how Memcached can improve the performance of the web applications. The paper that I
did study is about a simulation project of using three different architectures of Memcached. The
simulation results will monitor the CPU and RAM usability of all the nodes in these three
architectures. I will explain the results and will discuss the findings of their results.
The relational database technology dominated the web applications for more than 30 years. This
technology is able to handle limited load to the database. However, the internet technologies and the
advents of the smart phones make the web applications to be accessible by many users and from
any location that is covered by the internet connectivity. In addition, currently, the web data in the
internet is dominated by the social networking and social media applications which include:
Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and others. This kind of web applications will likely be
prone to the high load of the database layer. As a result, it was not possible for the relational
database technology to handle the database load for such applications. Even scaling out the
application servers will not solve the database load

Heroes Out of Opression
Heroes Out of Oppression Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in
an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny (King) Martin Luther
King speaking these infamous words is only a small portion that reveals the inspirational nature
that allowed him to overcome racism. Oppression whether it is for race, gender, sexuality is still
a series of unfortunate events that occurs in our world every single day. The ground that
America was built on was based on equal rights for all, yet 200 years later injustice not only
exists but thrives. However, if nobody overcame oppression what would our world look like
without those heroes and leaders?. In Letter from Birmingham Jail, Martin Luther king is
depicted as a man who was able to fight for his people and his freedom even after all the horrific
encounters with racism he had to witness. In Sherman s Alexei s, What you Pawn I will Redeem
, Jackson Jackson, even after left homeless and alone, fought to get his grandmothers regalia
back. Dana Johnson s Melvin from Melvin in the 6th grade , lived through bullying and violence
but was still able to remain a hero in Avery s eyes. What made those people so amazing? Is it there
charm, wit, perseverance? Leaders become influential when other people strive to have those same
heroic qualities. A true hero is an ordinary person who exemplifies forgiveness, passion and
empathy which allow them to overcome an oppressive situation and

Explanation Of The Song American Pie By Don Mclean
In the song American Pie, by Don McLean, produced in 1971, McLean uses this song to
commemorate the death of singer Buddy Holly but he is able to also describe what he thinks is
one of the most influential periods of American history; 1959 1970. The speaker in the song is
Don because he s telling what has happened since the death of Buddy holly and how much has
influenced a change in society. In the song bye bye mrs American pie there to represent the
innocence of American that Holly took when he died. I chose this song because it was one of my
father s favorite songs. And since the main idea of the song is about death, after my father died I
felt a connection with the song. American pie relates to an old saying as American as apple pie .

The Qing Dynasty And Gupta Empire Women s Rights
Christopher Valdez
Period 2A
Qing Dynasty and Gupta Empire Women s Rights Women s rights were not the same in all
countries during the time of the Qing dynasty and Gupta Empire. How did women s rights in the
Qing dynasty compare to those in of India s Gupta Empire? Women all around the world were
treated differently. Some women were treated better than others but the main focus on this research
paper is about the Qing dynasty and Gupta Empire.
The Qing dynasty has historical background as like many other cultures. In 1644 Manchus,
better known as the Qing dynasty, conquered the Ming state and established their own Qing or
Pure dynasty among men lasting over three hundred years (Metmusem.org). The rise of the
Qing dynasty is provided by the story of a man named Li Zicheng. Li Zicheng was an ironworker
who lost his job along many other government paid employees. This occurred because the
emperor needed money for more troops in battle to defend Beijing against the attacks the
powerful attacks of the Manchus, better known as the Qing dynasty today. By the year of 1630 Li
had found a job as a soldier; however, since the government couldn t pay them and provided them
what needed, Li decided to quit. After that Li won the trust of several thousand Chinese revels and
lead them into the towns capturing them and added young men into their army. Li and his army
won support of more people by making powerful promises of ending imperial abuses. With more

The Importance Of Art On Body Art
Opportunity of expression is essential, however not to a degree, that it anticipates intimidating body
art. Does Individuals less than 21 years old should be allowed tattoos? I insist they must not to have
the tattoos. They are a greater number of professionals than cons to help this subject. I trust that
people under age 21 has a tendency to do hasty things without thoroughly considering the long haul
results of their exercises. Irresponsible, imaginative, unconstrained yes, you can at present be any of
these things without destroying your body forever. The reasons that tattoos needs to prohibit less

The Significance Of The Lincoln Memorial
The location selected for a monument is a significant factor to consider when contemplating the
creation of a monument. For instance the Lincoln Memorial was built on the National Mall, in
Washington D.C., a place that is practically a pilgrimage site , as said by Kirk Savage in his book
Monument Wars (source A). The purpose of the monuments built on the National Mallare to bring
about a symbolic aura for the government. The Lincoln Memorial brings this aura by honoring
America s greatest president of all time , in the nation s capitol. Along with Lincoln s memorial, you

A meticulously designed monument is more appealing to the eye, and a more memorable one,
because the first thing you notice about a monument is it s appearance. The Lincoln Memorial, as

Explain Why Stalemate Developed on the Western Front
Explain why stalemate developed on the Western front
By December 1914 stalemate developed on the Western front because of 3 main reasons, new
weapons, lack of plans and the circumstances of the battle of Marne, race to the seas and the 1st
battle of Ypres!
The Schlieffen plan had failed by November 1914. It didn t entirely go to plan.. What the Germans
presumed wasn t right. Firstly they presumed that it would only take 6 weeks to get through
Belgium and that it wouldn t take long at all, but in the end it took than expected. The Belgians
resisted a lot and put up a strong fight. German troops got held up in Belgium and never got round
to invading Paris. In addition to this, Russia mobilised quicker than presumed! So ... Show more

Essay On Obesity Epidemic
More than one third or 78.6 million of U.S. adults are obese , according to the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention. Obesity does not only mean a bigger waist line, but also a greater
chance at developing life threating health problems. Preventable diseases such as heart disease,
type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancerare increased in individuals who are considered obese
(CDC). While physical activity plays an important role in a healthy lifestyle, what one consumes
is also a significant factor. With obesity at staggering high rates, healthy food choices should be
made more available and affordable, while the price of unhealthy food and drinks should be
increased to help bring a decline to this ongoing epidemic.
To understand the full extent of the obesity epidemic, one must first understand what the term
obese indicates. A person whose BMI, or body mass index, ranges above 30 is considered obese.
The healthy BMI range for a normal person is between 19 and 24 (CDC). When an individual
consumes more energy, or calories, than they use, the excess calories are stored in the body as fat
and thus causes weight gain. Over time, without both reduction of calorie intake and increased
activity , a larger amount of fat is stored and as a result obesity occurs (Diet and ... Show more

President Nixon s Secret Bombing of Cambodia Essay
In the 1960s and 1970s, the most controversial war the United States had ever been involved in
during its rich two hundred year history would engulf the country, ultimately leading to the collapse

Vietnam and neighboring countries from 1959 1975 involving the North Vietnamese and NLF

Taking the oath of office in January of 1969, Nixonwas thrown head first into a war that was
escalating quickly and, at the same time, infuriated many Americans who believed that it wasn t
the nation s job to be world police. Now holding the reigns of the country, he was stuck in a
Vietnam predicament his first decisions would be of utmost importance for the safety of our
soldiers and for the well being of the nation. Nixon had very few plausible options however.
While a vocal sector of the public was clamoring for immediate withdrawal of troops, he
understood that its disadvantages were too great not only would withdrawal compromise
American credibility as a world power, he felt that it would also undermine his ability to
negotiate with foreign powers during the remainder of his term (Bondi 237). Nuclear weapons
were also not an alternative. We were still involved in the Cold War with the USSR if we opted
to nuclear weapons, not only would we most likely end up instigating a World War III, we could
not risk setting the precedent by using nuclear warfare to dictate world order (Bondi 237). Nixon s
last choice, attempting to persevere for a conventional military victory in Vietnam, was a large risk

Impact On Pop Culture
Pop culture is defined as a reflection of a mass population and their common likings. People tend
to have similar likings based on their generations, those likings are considered part of pop culture.
There are numerous amounts of studies that represent the effects of pop culture on specific groups
of people. Through an economical standpoint, it can be noted how pop culturedirectly influences the
way that an individual views themselves. Celebrity endorsement, the reflection of the economy on
pop culture, and the effects that pop culture has in consumption in other countries all independently
affect an individual. When an individual is impacted by pop culture, they tend to perceive
themselves differently causing their identity to slowly... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pop music is a reflection of an individual and that reflection coexists with the changes of the
economy. This study helps one understand how pop music and pop culture itself affects the
consumer and how an individual spends their money. Due to the reflection of music on the
economy, individuals reflect their purchases based on the music that they are currently listening to.
With the interchangeable change of the economy and music, individuals identities are changing
drastically because music changes the individual s mood and moralities while the change of the
economy is causing the person s income affect their purchases and later explained, their attitude
towards themselves. The United States is not the only country that pop culture influences the
economy. In Germany, individuals try to become part of the American pop culture leading to them
consuming items that are considered popular in the United States (Schuetz). Individuals try not to
be aloof from what others are doing, no matter the location and are willing to spend money buying
the trending product of their time. Pop culture pressures individuals to buy items in order for them
to feel satisfied with themselves. Individuals owning certain products that are currently trending
correlates with the individual s own perception about themselves. This causes the individual to

We can observe a little bit of blue on the globe that the children are holding, which represents the
ocean, but also we can observe it on the children s body, with another meaning. The dark blue is the
color of truth and moderation. The turquoise, found on the hair of the boy is the symbol of youth,
and also the color of communication. It contains the growth quality of green with the blue quality
of communication. Finally, the aqua is the color of high ideals.
Brown and green are other colors found in the art. Combined, they represent wholesomeness and
earthiness. They can signify growth and represent the simplicity, friendliness, dependability,
renewal, and environment.
The Shapes and Lines
Talking about the lines, we can observe that the picture contains curves, parallel lines, and diagonal
lines. Analyzing the shapes, we can find circles and organic shapes (for example, the flowers).
Circles represent the eternal whole and in every culture are the form that represents the sun, the
earth, the moon, and the universe. They have free movement, are warm, comforting and give a
sense of sensuality and love. Their movement suggests energy and power. Their completeness

Why is Nelson Mandela a role model for so many people in the world?
Nelson Mandela decided already as a young man to take part in the freedom struggle for his

imprisoned for 27 years of his life but that couldn t break him. He only grew stronger. The regime

Many have big dreams about making big changes in the world. We want to help and we want to
matter. Often these dreams don t go anywhere. They are too big, take long time and much
energy. Often dreams stay just as dreams and maybe you even forget them too. You watch TV
and suddenly some poor and hungry children that live somewhere in Africa appears and you
think Oh I wish I could do something . Nowadays there are some things that we can do to help.
We can donate money and we send old clothes that we don t use anymore. These small things for
us are a huge difference for them. A normal meal for us may be the same for them as food for a
whole month or so. Do what your heart says and follow your dream is a common saying. It s

biggest and hardest one. Maybe you have a smaller and easier dream you can choose that also
makes a change. Sometimes people think I have to do that not because they want to but because
they feel that they have to. Not everything you do have to be for others benefit, it s important to
do things that makes you happy and you want to do. Also what you do can make other happy even
if it s just for yourself because sometimes that you are happy, makes them

The Theme Of Friendship In John Steinbeck s Of Mice And Men
Friends are siblings God never gave us (Mencius). In the novella Of Mice and Men written by
author John Steinbeck, the world of migrant workers during the Great Depression is explored. The
story follows George and Lennie, friends who became migrant workers that get in trouble a lot and
are forced to move regularly. In the novellaOf Mice and Men by John Steinbeckthe theme of
friendship is displayed through the characters of Lennie, George, Candy and his dog.
George is Lennie s foremost friend and his caretaker, taking him under his wing when he
desperately needed it. The life of a migrant worker is very harsh, especially when you consider
how lonely they must be. During the exposition we learn about our characters George and Lennie,

does not want his friend to die or to be replaced. When Carlson first suggests shooting the dog in
the head to end its misery Candy is quite adamant about his friend s life. This changes when he
receives no support from Slim or the others, and he realizes how it would liberate the dog from
its old and damaged body. This shows that deep down at his very core, he cares for that dog. This
love is also shown when he says Had him since he was a pup (Steinbeck 44). Once upon a time
Candy herded sheep with his now old dog, furthering their bond. This bond carries even through
death, when candy admits that he should have done the deed himself. The deep admiration and
love for his dog never changes, making the it s death even more

For a long time now body art and decoration has been a custom in many cultural groups. Through
research we have learned about the different types of body art and ornamentation such as
permanent and nonpermanent tattooing, scarification, and piercings. These forms of body art and
ornamentation are done for a variety of reasons, ranging from identification purposes to religious
rituals. Skin, as a visible way of defining individual identity and cultural difference, is not only a

The Impact Of Transgenders In The Military
One of the big questions lurking in the United States is if transgenders can serve in the military.
As of right now they are temporarily not allowing transgenders into the military. If they were to
allow them there would be many things that they would have to look at. There is things like
where would they live to how would be treated. They would have to decide what they would want
to do with the ones currently serving. There s just many factors to look at when trying to decide
when something like transgenders are becoming so popular in a society like ours today.
It all started in 2016 when Barack Obama let transgenders to enroll in the military. Before this time
there wasn t any problem with transgender because it just started to become a thing in 2016.
Barack Obama signed a policy in 2014 that banned people who were openly gay, lesbian, and
bisexuals from being in the military. There was never anything about transgenders.
In 2015 things began to change, they now made it so that transgenders could serve. Joe Biden put
his input in on what he thought about the situation. He argued that they should be able to serve. He
said in a conference that he didn t want to anger anyone currently serving that is transgender. A
study was made to see how big of an impact that transgenders would have on the military. They
made the prediction that they would cost little and have no significant impact on unit readiness. In
2016 they made it so that transgenders would no longer be separated

The United States health care system is the most expensive in the world. It spends more than 16%
of its gross domestic product (GDP) on health care, (the highest per person in the world), but ranks
behind most countries on many measures of health outcomes, quality, and efficiency. In 2012, over
47 million people were un insured and millions were under insuredвЃґ. The cost of health care is
rising at least twice as fast as the rate of economic growth. Major companies are passing more of
the cost of health care to their employees. Many small businesses cannot provide health insuranceto
their employees. Individuals as well as companies are getting bankrupt due to the cost of health
care.вЃ· According to the National Healthcare Quality Report (NHQR) one of the most significant
contributing factor to poor quality of care for some of the core measures is health insuranceВІ.
Uninsured people are less likely to get recommended care for disease preventionВ№. Proponents of
the right to health care say that healthcare should be provided to everyone in the United States.

regulations must grow and evolved to meet the demands of a developing society. Concentrating
more on the role of regulation, it can be noted that it is a system that helps protect individuals
from one another. So from buyers to sellers; from employee to employer; tenants to landlords, and
so on. Regulations is also implemented to alleviate human suffering and promote overall welfare.
For instance, aid in the form of Social Security and to Veterans, natural disaster relief, regulation
of pollution and toxins, as well as temporary assistance for the unemployed. Last, and most
importantly regulation is implemented to minimize and eliminate corruption and abuse of power
by government agencies or officials. (Book Source) Taking into account the terms and ideologies

The audience must learn a lesson from the tragic hero; a lesson of what happens when great men
fall from their social or political positions. The tragic hero needs his errors in judgment for a
phenomenal effect of audience realization to occur.
Oedipus tries to prevent his terrible fate from occurring after it is prophesized to Laius, his
father, early on; he leaves the city of his foster parents as a preventative measure. Oedipus is
being punished for his parents actions. His birth parents once set out to seek the advice of the
Delphi Oracle but the advice was gloom. They were told never to have children, but in spite of the
warning Oedipus was born. Therefore from the beginning Oedipus is a tragic hero, his birth
presents his destiny to result in tragedy. As with most tragedies Oedipus birth was noble which
made his fall more intriguing to the audience. What use are my eyes to me, who could never See
anything pleasant again? (Sophocles 1293) This statement is the realization of wrongdoing; it is not
until now that Oedipus sees his own actions as wrong.
There is a significant point of the play where the Herdsman tells Oedipus who his mother is and
Oedipus replies Oh, oh, then everything has come out true. Light, I shall not look on

1970s Environmental Issues
It is crucial to begin with an analysis of the most current public perspective, using surveys and
research done by the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication and Pew Research Center.
This point will be characterized by how environmental issues tie into politics and influence a
registered voter s vote. Will set up the framework for the following point of past trends and laying
out why public influence is impacted by events. Prior to the 1960s, environmental issues were not
of principal concern or of mass knowledge. (Rome, 2003) Up until the 1970s, environmental issues
were predominantly state issues and rarely regulated by the federal government. Building up to the

the environmental decade may be just that the only environmental decade. While in no comparison
of the magnitude of the 1970s, this decade was not completely void of legislation. As seen with the
1990s, the focus of legislation was shifted to responding to high publicity environmental disasters
such as Love Canal, which gained an extraneous amount of coverage and influence. In the next

bad thing which isn t true, some stressis just your body s reaction to certain situations. At times it
may seem like stress is taking over your body leaving you physically, emotionally and mentally

Social life expectations is also a huge stressor, people want to feel the need to be popular and
pressured to fit in. Another major source of my stress is financial issues, fortunately my parents
are able to provide me with necessary needs like a car, school books, food, home, clothes/shoes
and money. At the point where I need be dependent on my own rather than on my parents which
causes me a lot of stress. Another major source of my stress is seeing my parents hurt whether it
be physically, mentally or emotionally. My parents worked so hard and became successful which
inspires me and seeing them hurt stresses me out when i m unable to do anything. My last source
of my stress are certain lifestyle choices. I tend to make poor choices that affect other situations in
my life in a negative way. For example, staying up late on a school night or skipping an important
event to hang out with friends. Some of my internal factors are being insecure or feeling worried.
Feeling insecure on how I look or even how I dress and feeling worried about others opinions or
other situations. Other internal factors are being confused with what I m doing with my life. Some
external factors include, school and work. Being overloaded with work causes a huge stress on me
along with not sleeping at night or having family issues. Like most things there are positives and
negatives, technology is one of them.

Analysis External Threat of New Entrants
There are many barriers to new organizations in the toy industry, making the threat of new entrants
low. Lego and other big toy companies like Mattel benefit from economies of scale. An economy of
scale is achieved by lower costs through large volume production (Textbook glossary). Economies
of scale can occur in many departments within the organization including production, marketing,
research and development, and finance. Some manufacturing of Lego products was shifted to
Central Europe and Mexico in order to benefit from lower wages and to shorten product supply
chains (p. 13 of case). The management of Lego additionally holds expertise on production,
distribution and customer needs; which are absent in a new organization. To enter the toy sector a
potential entrant needs to calculate the start of production at a level that will give a competitive
position and production costs lower than the market.
The high brand equity of Lego and other well established organizations offer another disadvantage
to new entrants. Collaborations with the film industry helped Lego sustain market share and
increase sales volume in the toy industry through franchise agreements on Harry Potter and Star
Wars. Rivalry among existing Firms
The competitive rivalry in the toy industry is intense. Organizations try to sell through their own
retailers and online instead of solely through other retailers. Flexibility and responsiveness to the

Assessing The Sat s Aptitude Test
Assessing the SAT s Aptitude in Predicting College Success
The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is a widely popular method of college admission test. Like
many other admissions test it is used to help colleges select students who will be successful in
college. Upon reading the source material, however, I began to question the legitimacy of this
academic test. In the first article of the source material, titled Can you Make Yourself Smarter , the
topic of intelligence testing was addressed. The article also mentioned more accurate and effective
forms of intelligence testing and the use of intelligence improving games in schools. Upon
mentioning schools and effective ways of measuring intelligence I began to wonder whether tests
administered in school, like the SAT, were effective in what they are designed to do. These tests
hold such great bearings on the academic careers of students I wondered whether the test should
be used at all. This lead to the question; should SAT be used to predict college success? In this
paper success will be defined mainly though grade point average (GPA). While this is not the
only way to define success it is one of the most measurable indicators of success. The first of the
two perspectives addressed within this question will be no, the SAT should not be used. Due to the
underwhelming amount of support for the opposing yes argument, the other perspective will
investigate if the SAT will work if changes were made to it.

Stokely Carmichael Black Power
What is Black Power? Black power is a movement lead by Stokely Carmichael which promoted
the idea of black empowerment and creating a community where blacks feel comfortable in. It
implies self determination and self motivation. This means blacks should not rely on white
authority to fix racial issues but rather take matters into their own hands. It is a call for blacks to
define their own goals. This was not only meant as freedom from white authority but also as
economical and political independence. In this way Black Power was taking control of the
future of blacks in both economical and political ways and establishing a community in which
they will not have to suffer living as second class citizens. Black power also encouraged blacks to
have pride in their racial heritage and be proud to be black. A way of promoting this was by
using the slogan Black is Beautiful , to get people to see the beauty of being black and not to be
ashamed of their prominent black features. Stokely Carmichael encouraged this form of Black

major loss of support from the Federal Government. This support was essential as being a liberal,

had brought down many decisions in favour of the Civil Rights Movement so to threaten them in
this way, was in his opinion, unwise. King was also aware that white liberals would lose

Despite that, the human appetite has caused fisherman to increase fishing by creating
innovative ways to fish. With new the technology we are able to catch 94 million tons a

that outnumbers all of those countries is china. The basic fact that China is hungry for fish. As

Many fishes don t get to reproduce and most of the time we leave the animals with less food for
them to eat for example, catching an entire surplus of one fish may starve another fish that relied
on it for food. Many unwanted fish get tangled into the cages or nets as well for example, when a
ship is sailing along with its nets and cages open many untargeted fishes get tangled into the nets.
Ten pounds of unwanted fish are killed for every pound of shrimp caught in the southern United

As a society, we are confronted daily with pornographic images, they feature in our newspapers,

long time been desensitizing us to depictions of violence and sex, but has it also disabled us in
being able to see the difference between what is carefully constructed satire and what is merely
pornography? There is probably no text this discussion embraces more in modern gothic literature

Under his psychopathic control body parts cease to contain any sign of female sexuality or

the disembodied vagina acts to cause an extreme level of shock and horror within the reader, and it
is not an image that stands alone within the book. These highly disturbing scenes of sexual violence
against women surpass that of pornography, this does not account the novel as being a particularly
horrifying piece of pornography, but instead it sets the novel from pornography completely.
In order to understand this, we must consider that not all of society receives pornography in
such a negative matter as so far discussed, for many people pornography is a private matter that
is for the purpose of arousal. Therefore in order for the gap between American Psycho and
pornography to be truly irrelevant, the text would have needed to be produced for the purpose of
arousal. Although there are some scenes that explicitly serve as seeming only pornographic, the

Mom had rushed to the store when it was discovered that there was no more ice cream in the

Psychologists and social workers have churned out books, websites, and articles targeting parents,
teachers and girls themselves, offering advice and research on how to handle pubescent girls.
While there are many competing viewpoints, all seem to agree that, contrary to centuries of cross
cultural social stereotypes, girls are, in fact, naturally aggressive creatures. Unlike their male
counterparts, young girls use entirely different forms of aggression, collectively known as subtle
aggression or alternative aggression.
Every afternoon between Monday and Friday, Lily stalks up the driveway from the bus stop and

Though surprised, Ariel resisted the temptation to fall in love and marry a merman, thus not giving
in to interpellation. This movie also shows aversions for interpellation in the sense that it conveys
the favorable reception of things, not ordinary. It says that you do not have to settle just for the

your souls connect, and live happily ever after. When Ariel gets her voice back from the sea witch
but turns back into a mermaid, Eric isn t phased by her fin, he knows for sure that she is the one,
and he won t let her go again. By any means necessary. Ariel also questions the interpellated
messages she receives from the general public. The people of Ariel s kingdom believe that, as a

Solution-Focused Brief Family Therapy Paper
Overview, Description, and Rational
Solution focused therapy was developed in 1982 at The Brief Family Therapy Center in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin (). SFBT was inspired by Milton Erickson and MRI models, both Insoo and
Steve de Shazer Kim Berg had worked on the MRI models which SFBT is created from (Mo Yee
Lee, 2011). Solution Focused Brief Therapy is theoretically based, evidence based, empirical
researched and has been clinically practice for the past 32 years (). The assumption and basic
premises of SFBT emphasized by the creators is that its merely about the techniques and more
about its logic/rational (). To effectively execute SFBT it requires the clinician to deeply
understands and the concepts to influence clients change (). Why does SFBT standout amongst
others models, because SFBT practice is rooted in the present and future. The focus is not on

Solution focused brief therapy contends that people are equipped with the skills to create change
in their lives, though they may need help in refining and identifying those skills. Similarly, SFBT
recognizes that people already know, on some level, what change is needed in their lives, and
SFBT practitioners help clients to clarify their goals. In particular, the therapist will help the client
to identify a time in life when the present problem was either less detrimental or more manageable,
and evaluate what factors were different or what solutions may have been present at that time.
SFBT practitioners empathize with the struggles of their clients and guide clients to see what is
working for them, to continue those practices that work, and to acknowledge and celebrate their
successes. They also encourage clients to experiment with new approaches to problems. SFBT
aims to help people find tools they can employ right away to manage symptoms and face
challenges. This type of therapy can be used in individual therapy and with families and

Differences Between Johnson And Justin Moore
Outlaws Jamey Johnson and Justin Moore are the modern day outlaws of country music. Both
musicians are well known in the music industry. They started around the same time and are still
playing today. Not only do they sing and play guitar, they are both songwriters. Johnson and
Moore are successful with their abilities, and the Country Music Awards demonstrate that with
annual nominations. These men play a significant role on young musicians to keep pursuing
their dreams. However, these two musicians have many differences. Johnson and Moore share
the same stage and country music hits list, but they show many differences in their personal
appearance and their playing style. Jamey Johnson stands five foot four inches tall and has his
own look with his mountain man beard and Charles Manson stare. Johnson looks like the kind
of guy mandated by law to stay at least hundred yards away from most civilized people. He always
wears two rings. A skull and cross bone ring with red ruby eyes is on his right hand. His left hand
has a gold band with a ruby top. With his... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Johnson and Moore have styles that helped them become famous musicians in country music.
Once they moved to Nashville, their talent was obvious to recording agencies. Johnson s plain,
scary appearance creates a style that shows he does not need to dress sharp for fans. Everything is
found in his music. Moore s heavy dose of southern, country charm allows him to be a great singer
and songwriter. Although Johnson and Moore have such different personalities, they are friends for
the love of music and respect as another musician. The hard work these men put into their music
shows the long journey they both have had, and plays a big role in their fame. Johnson and Moore
are two of the most respected country musicians today, even though they have such different

Hobbit Movie Comparison
Film Review: The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies
When The Hobbit began entitled as The Unexpected Journey in late 2012, its trip to become a
movement picture version, only two films were considered: 2012 s The Hobbit: An Unexpected
Journey and The Hobbit: There And Back Again. With the remarkable success of both movies,
Peter Jackson decided to come up with the trilogy last year s The Hobbit: The Desolation Of
Smaug, as well as altered the title of the ending film to The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five
Armies. There have been some complaints from fans about that conclusion, but regardless, it s
safe to say The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies brings a lot of enjoy and fun for its viewer.
Where The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug ends, we actually see said sadness take place but
it rapidly grants a way to the last film s main description thrust. With the empire of Man and
Elves trying to resolve the promises that Thorin Oakenshield, made in the previous parts, the
recently crowned dwarf king select to let the empire fend for themselves. He has his gold, and as
soon as he discovers the Arkenstone, he ll be pleased to just lord over the mountain. Of course, the
Orc armies, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If The Hobbit trilogy had depended on the two movie plan, Peter Jackson could have preserved his
Middle earth winning strip, as The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey had a great storyline set up that
pushed everything into excitment. You can tell examining this movie that The Hobbit legacy could
have been a lean monster of action and experience without added so much total screen time,
because if you break up rudiments of The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug between the opening
and closing segment, you could have had two actually excellent three plus hours

Exothermic Reaction Lab
Science Investigation:
Research Question:
To determine how does the surface area of Magnesium affects the temperature of exothermic
reactions?
Hypothesis:
If the surface area of the Magnesium is increased, then the temperature of exothermic reaction
(Hydrochloric acid) will decrease. In this case, 1 piece of magnesium will have the highest
temperature after 2 minutes. This is because, the surface area of the 1 magnesium strip being the
least and therefore it will take less time for the 1 magnesium strip to react and will therefore
increase in heat faster. Therefore the effect of the temperature of exothermic reaction directly
relates to the surface area, because it takes a certain amount of time to dissolve all the magnesium,
and the chemical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also because the time limit is so less, it doesn t give time for the least amount of surface area s
(1 strip of magnesium s) chemical reaction to cool down or neutralize, so therefore making it the
highest in temperature. The functioning of the method wasn t accurate enough. One contributor
for the experiment to not be accurate enough was the use of the same test tube for the 4 trials.
Each trial was done immediately after each other, so the test tubes were relatively hot, and
contained a little bit of solution from the last experiment. This therefore affected the results,
because the temperature would be higher than the last trial. The effect of this error can be
reduced with the help of using 16 test tubes instead of 4. This would erase the possibilities of the
test tube being hot, or having any traces of the last trial done. Also another contributor was for the
experiment to not be accurate enough was the time the Magnesium strips were put in the test
tubes. Because of the lack of hands, it was impossible, or very difficult to put all the magnesium
strips in the test tubes at the exact same time. This would affect the result making it an unfair test.
This is because each trial would have had a different time for the magnesium to be dropped in test
tubes. The effect of this error can be reduced with the help of extra helpers so that the magnesium
strips can be placed in the test tubes

Dietary Guidelines For Health And Chronic Disease Essay
This article was to emphasize how the US government uses dietary guidelines for Americans and
how the guidelines were supposed to help by creating a healthy eating pattern to maintain health
and reduce the risk of chronic disease. . Diet and chronic diseases are sometimes connected. For
example, it is proven that nutrient deficiency disease like scurvy can be cured by consuming the
lost nutrients. However, it is also shown that some nutrient exposure can cause chronic illness such
as energy, fats, sodium dietary fiber, and food exposures, etc. making it difficult to set dietary
guidelines. In addition to some nutrient causing chronic diseases, nondietary factors such as stress,
lack of exercise, smoking and other environmental factors are linked to causing chronic illnesses
(Slavin, 2012).
The relationship between diet and chronic disease made the federal government to issue dietary
guidelines for Americans since1980 and publication of dietary guidelines were made every five
years. The dietary guideline is in response to the public s desire for authoritative, consistent
guidelines on diet and health (Slavin, 2012). One of the reasons for developing the dietary
guidelines was to provide science based advice for two years old or older to help prevent chronic
diseases and promote health. Another reason why dietary guidelines were created was to lay a good
foundation for federal nutrition programs and nutrition education programs and serve as a basis for
research gaps and

The Use Of Force For Purposes Of State Law Battery Claim
The shooting was excessive use of force for purposes of state law battery claim.
Under the California Penal Code, a peace officer who makes, or attempts to make, an arrest need
not retreat or desist from his efforts because of resistance of the person being arrested. That
officer will not be deemed an aggressor or lose his right to self defense by use of reasonable force
to prevent escape or overcome resistance. Cal. Penal Code В§ 835a (West 2015). Here, the court
will probably find that Mr. Templeton used excessive, unreasonable force because decedent was not
under arrest and possessed no weapons that threatened great bodily injury or death.
A. The Plaintiff must prove unreasonable force was used to make a prima facie showing of battery.
The Plaintiff must prove unreasonable force was used. Edson v. City of Anaheim, 63 Cal. App. 4th
1269, 1272 (1998). The Plaintiff must show that the Defendant acted unreasonably in using deadly
force. Id. A policeofficer may use reasonable force to make an arrest, prevent escape or
overcome resistance. Id. The officer s use of deadly force is reasonable if the officer has
probable cause to believe the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious injury to him or
others. Brown v. Ransweiler, 171 Cal. App. 4th 516, 525 (2009). The standard jury instruction for

a detention commits a battery upon the person being detained. Id. at

  • 2. A Research Study On Relational Database Technology Abstract. In this report I will introduce the Memcached technology and provide more details about it. In addition, I will explain how it works and how it differs than relational database technology. Furthermore, I will use the finding of the paper Performance Evaluation of a Clustered Memcached to present how Memcached can improve the performance of the web applications. The paper that I did study is about a simulation project of using three different architectures of Memcached. The simulation results will monitor the CPU and RAM usability of all the nodes in these three architectures. I will explain the results and will discuss the findings of their results. The relational database technology dominated the web applications for more than 30 years. This technology is able to handle limited load to the database. However, the internet technologies and the advents of the smart phones make the web applications to be accessible by many users and from any location that is covered by the internet connectivity. In addition, currently, the web data in the internet is dominated by the social networking and social media applications which include: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and others. This kind of web applications will likely be prone to the high load of the database layer. As a result, it was not possible for the relational database technology to handle the database load for such applications. Even scaling out the application servers will not solve the database load ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny (King) Martin Luther King speaking these infamous words is only a small portion that reveals the inspirational nature that allowed him to overcome racism. Oppression whether it is for race, gender, sexuality is still a series of unfortunate events that occurs in our world every single day. The ground that America was built on was based on equal rights for all, yet 200 years later injustice not only exists but thrives. However, if nobody overcame oppression what would our world look like without those heroes and leaders?. In Letter from Birmingham Jail, Martin Luther king is depicted as a man who was able to fight for his people and his freedom even after all the horrific encounters with racism he had to witness. In Sherman s Alexei s, What you Pawn I will Redeem , Jackson Jackson, even after left homeless and alone, fought to get his grandmothers regalia back. Aristotle, Using Oedipus as an ideal model, says that a tragic hero must be an important or influential man who has a lapse in judgment. Who then must suffer the consequences of his actions. The audience must learn a lesson from the tragic hero; a lesson of what happens when great men fall from their social or political positions. The tragic hero needs his errors in judgment for a phenomenal effect of audience realization to occur. Oedipus tries to prevent his terrible fate from occurring after it is prophesized to Laius, his father, early on; he leaves the city of his foster parents as a preventative measure. Oedipus is being punished for his parents actions. His birth parents once set out to seek the advice of the Delphi Oracle but the advice was gloom. They were told never to have children, but in spite of the warning Oedipus was born. Therefore from the beginning Oedipus is a tragic hero, his birth presents his destiny to result in tragedy. As with most tragedies Oedipus birth was noble which made his fall more intriguing to the audience. What use are my eyes to me, who could never See anything pleasant again? (Sophocles 1293) This statement is the realization of wrongdoing; it is not until now that Oedipus sees his own actions as wrong. Analysis External Threat of New Entrants There are many barriers to new organizations in the toy industry, making the threat of new entrants low. Lego and other big toy companies like Mattel benefit from economies of scale. An economy of scale is achieved by lower costs through large volume production (Textbook glossary). Economies of scale can occur in many departments within the organization including production, marketing, research and development, and finance. Some manufacturing of Lego products was shifted to Central Europe and Mexico in order to benefit from lower wages and to shorten product supply chains (p. 13 of case). The management of Lego additionally holds expertise on production, distribution and customer needs; which are absent in a new organization. To enter the toy sector a potential entrant needs to calculate the start of production at a level that will give a competitive position and production costs lower than the market. The high brand equity of Lego and other well established organizations offer another disadvantage to new entrants. Like many other admissions test it is used to help colleges select students who will be successful in college. In the first article of the source material, titled Can you Make Yourself Smarter , the topic of intelligence testing was addressed. Upon mentioning schools and effective ways of measuring intelligence I began to wonder whether tests administered in school, like the SAT, were effective in what they are designed to do. These tests hold such great bearings on the academic careers of students I wondered whether the test should be used at all. This lead to the question; should SAT be used to predict college success? In this paper success will be defined mainly though grade point average (GPA). While this is not the only way to define success it is one of the most measurable indicators of success. The first of the two perspectives addressed within this question will be no, the SAT should not be used. It implies self determination and self motivation. This means blacks should not rely on white authority to fix racial issues but rather take matters into their own hands. It is a call for blacks to define their own goals. This was not only meant as freedom from white authority but also as economical and political independence. In this way Black Power was taking control of the future of blacks in both economical and political ways and establishing a community in which they will not have to suffer living as second class citizens. Black power also encouraged blacks to have pride in their racial heritage and be proud to be black. Solution focused brief therapy contends that people are equipped with the skills to create change in their lives, though they may need help in refining and identifying those skills. Similarly, SFBT recognizes that people already know, on some level, what change is needed in their lives, and SFBT practitioners help clients to clarify their goals. In particular, the therapist will help the client to identify a time in life when the present problem was either less detrimental or more manageable, and evaluate what factors were different or what solutions may have been present at that time. SFBT practitioners empathize with the struggles of their clients and guide clients to see what is working for them, to continue those practices that work, and to acknowledge and celebrate their successes. They also encourage clients to experiment with new approaches to problems. SFBT aims to help people find tools they can employ right away to manage symptoms and face challenges. • 44. Exothermic Reaction Lab Science Investigation: Research Question: To determine how does the surface area of Magnesium affects the temperature of exothermic reactions? Hypothesis: If the surface area of the Magnesium is increased, then the temperature of exothermic reaction (Hydrochloric acid) will decrease. In this case, 1 piece of magnesium will have the highest temperature after 2 minutes. This is because, the surface area of the 1 magnesium strip being the least and therefore it will take less time for the 1 magnesium strip to react and will therefore increase in heat faster. Therefore the effect of the temperature of exothermic reaction directly relates to the surface area, because it takes a certain amount of time to dissolve all the magnesium, and the chemical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also because the time limit is so less, it doesn t give time for the least amount of surface area s (1 strip of magnesium s) chemical reaction to cool down or neutralize, so therefore making it the highest in temperature. The functioning of the method wasn t accurate enough. One contributor for the experiment to not be accurate enough was the use of the same test tube for the 4 trials. Each trial was done immediately after each other, so the test tubes were relatively hot, and contained a little bit of solution from the last experiment. This therefore affected the results, because the temperature would be higher than the last trial. The effect of this error can be reduced with the help of using 16 test tubes instead of 4. This would erase the possibilities of the test tube being hot, or having any traces of the last trial done. Also another contributor was for the experiment to not be accurate enough was the time the Magnesium strips were put in the test tubes. Because of the lack of hands, it was impossible, or very difficult to put all the magnesium strips in the test tubes at the exact same time. This would affect the result making it an unfair test. This is because each trial would have had a different time for the magnesium to be dropped in test tubes. The effect of this error can be reduced with the help of extra helpers so that the magnesium strips can be placed in the test tubes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Dietary Guidelines For Health And Chronic Disease Essay This article was to emphasize how the US government uses dietary guidelines for Americans and how the guidelines were supposed to help by creating a healthy eating pattern to maintain health and reduce the risk of chronic disease. . Diet and chronic diseases are sometimes connected. For example, it is proven that nutrient deficiency disease like scurvy can be cured by consuming the lost nutrients. However, it is also shown that some nutrient exposure can cause chronic illness such as energy, fats, sodium dietary fiber, and food exposures, etc. making it difficult to set dietary guidelines. In addition to some nutrient causing chronic diseases, nondietary factors such as stress, lack of exercise, smoking and other environmental factors are linked to causing chronic illnesses (Slavin, 2012). The relationship between diet and chronic disease made the federal government to issue dietary guidelines for Americans since1980 and publication of dietary guidelines were made every five years. The dietary guideline is in response to the public s desire for authoritative, consistent guidelines on diet and health (Slavin, 2012). One of the reasons for developing the dietary guidelines was to provide science based advice for two years old or older to help prevent chronic diseases and promote health. Another reason why dietary guidelines were created was to lay a good foundation for federal nutrition programs and nutrition education programs and serve as a basis for research gaps and ...
