ESP is designed to meet the specific needs of learners, uses content related to specific disciplines or occupations, and centers on the language needed for those fields. ESP contrasts with general English by focusing on restricted skills and not following a single methodology. ESP uses authentic materials and self-directed learning with a purpose-related orientation.

specialized English, is a sphere of teaching English language
including Business English, Technical English, Scientific English,
English for medical professionals, English for waiters, English for
tourism, English for Art Purposes, etc.
