Lot was warned by angels to flee Sodom and Gomorrah and not look back, as God was going to destroy the cities for their sin. The document provides biblical context regarding God informing Abraham of his plan to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham pleading for the cities, angels protecting Lot, and Lot being warned to flee. It then examines themes of escaping temptation, evil companions, religious error, and the condemned world through various biblical examples and warnings.
Today, death is closer for us all. Time is on a one-way march. Each day we live brings us closer to the end of our life. We have less time to prepare for eternity. Since we have less time, each day and the actions of each day become more important.
We need to renew our mind so that our daily life is devoted to God (Rom. 12:1, 2). We must have our priorities straight. Let us avoid distractions and grow stronger day by day; offering ourselves as a living sacrifice.
This study covers two points:
(1) not conformed, but transformed;
(2) renewing of your mind.

The Tragedy of A Lie - told or believed! The father of every lie is the devil - (John 8:44)
If we lie we do the devil’s work!
If we believe a lie, we become the devil’s convert!
Moses bid farewell to Israel by reminding them of the Law of God. He reviewed the Ten Commandments (Deut. 5:1-22). Then he went on to cover various ordinances of the Law (Deut. 6-26).
He put before them a choice between life and death (Deut. 30:11-20). If they obeyed, there was life. If they disobeyed, there was death.
The choice is that simple for us: life or death through obedience or disobedience.
This lesson examines Moses’ words and makes application of these principles from the New Testament: (1) God’s command is for us; (2) God’s command is the difference between life/good and death/evil; (3) Choose life.

“The Nature of Saving FAITH” (2)— (Romans 3:19-5:5) In Romans 4 Paul is contrasting two opposing SYSTEMS, “FAITH & WORKS.” The “works” system cannot save a sinner because it demands perfection - and no amount of work can undo the sinners sin. The “Faith” system on the other hand implements forgiveness through Jesus thus providing justification on the grounds of God’s grace. Renewed in Grace
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
