What is the "Sin unto death" in 1 John 5:16?
What is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit in Matthew 12:31,32?
Can one go so far away from God that He will not take them back?
If so, where is that line?

Bible Truths - Prophecy of Daniel and Revelation - The Unchangeable Law #6 - Are the Ten Commandments important and relevant today? What is the purpose of God's law? Were they done away with after Jesus came? Is the law eternal or has it changed? We are not under the law but under grace, but does that mean we have the freedom to break the law? The day is coming when laws will be passed regarding worship which goes against God's laws. Those who pass the laws will believe what they are doing is right and biblical. We need to know the difference between God's laws and man's laws.

Isaiah 59:14-20. Based on Sermon: Why Did God Deal with Sin? (Dave Stewart), 2014 January 26
The story of man is the story of sin. In this lesson we will examine sin and why a holy and loving God would deal with sin. For many of us, our first thought is that Jehovah dealt with sin because of His wrath. This seems to be an incomplete answer. Rather as a loving Father he dealt with sin to bring us back into a righteous relationship with Him.
Many of these thoughts were inspired and borrowed from Jim McGuiggan’s book: The Dragon Slayer, chapter 2: The Road leading to Bethlehem and Golgatha.

Don’t Grumble!
Complaining is like scratching an itch.
The more you complain about your husband, the worse he gets
The more you complain about your wife, the worse she gets
The more you complain about your job, the worse it gets
The more you complain about your health, the worse you feel.
Proverbs 17:22 (NIV2011) A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Do you feel you need a Saviour? Are your sins too great to bear. There is a Man who is Friend of sinners, He is Jesus, He does care. On the Cross He bore our sin, God, dying for you and me. He cleared the debt, He paid the price, believing, we are now set free.

Why do you think James tells us to confess our sins to each other and pray for each other immediately following a discussion about healing? (5:14-15) Why is confession of sins a part of the healing process? (1 John 1:9) What should be our attitude and response toward those who confess their failure and sin to us? (Galatians 6:1) Have you ever had a relationship with a person or with a small group that involved confession of sins and personal offenses? If so, what was that like? What are some of the barriers that keep us from having that kind of a relationship? What are some cautions about confessing our trespasses to one another?
C. S. Lewis’ reaction to the Sermon on the Mount stated, “As to ‘caring for’ the Sermon on the Mount, if ‘caring for’ here means ‘liking’ or enjoying, I suppose no one ‘cares for’ it. Who can like being knocked flat on his face by a sledgehammer? I can hardly imagine a more deadly spiritual condition than that of a man who can read that passage with tranquil pleasure.” Certainly, in consideration of this beatitude and promise of persecution, this observation is profoundly true.

“The Nature of Saving FAITH” (2)— (Romans 3:19-5:5) In Romans 4 Paul is contrasting two opposing SYSTEMS, “FAITH & WORKS.” The “works” system cannot save a sinner because it demands perfection - and no amount of work can undo the sinners sin. The “Faith” system on the other hand implements forgiveness through Jesus thus providing justification on the grounds of God’s grace. The Lord’s church in an Experience Driven CultureDon McClain
“The Lord’s church in an 'Experience Driven Culture'” - [John 6:60-69] - As churches decline in membership, they begin to compromise to sustain numbers - Many churches have adopted the "market driven" approach – i.e., Find out what people want and give it to them - WHAT EVER THAT IS! — Many churches of Christ are dondoinge the same things! Can the church fight apathy and materialism by feeding people's carnal appetites? Has the word of God lost it’s power & effectiveness? What should the churches response be to the populace and its increasing hunger for an “experience” & disinterest in the truth? - MP3 / PPT / KEYNOTE / PDF - 5/17/2015

“Saved Like Noah" - [Baptism also now saves us … 1 Peter 3:18-22] - Many strive to explain the apostle Peter’s words in the above text in ways that negate that which he affirms. This study is a detailed examination of this text — 1) what is meant by the type / antitype construction of verses 20 and 21? — 2) What does Peter mean when he says, “baptism also now saves us?” — 3) What is the meaning of the parenthetical phrase "(not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God)? - I realize many may disagree with the conclusions we have reached, but I pray that all will prayerfully and sincerely consider this study and accept that which is the truth. What Is Real, True, Genuine Repentance?Don McClain
“What Is Real, True, Genuine Repentance?" - [According To God’s Word — Matthew 21:28-32] - Repentance is a command of God / Repentance is something God wills that every one of us would do - Sadly, very few are willing to actually, truly REPENT! Repentance has often been referenced as “the hardest command!” Why? What is so difficult about repentance? In this study we examine what repentance IS NOT - then five characteristics of genuine repentance.
“What Will You Reap?" - [We Reap What We Sow] - (Luke 8:5-15; 2 Cor 9:6; Gal 6:7-9) - We Are All Sowing – but to what end? The principle of reaping according to what we have sown is as old as creation & applies in both the material & spiritual realm. “Are We Setting Ourselves Up To Fall?" - [Mark 14:27-31, 53,54, 66-72] - Every sin we commit is a result of our failure to implement the wisdom & strength of God, which He provides us through His word. After Peter is told he will deny Jesus three times, he assures Jesus he would never do that - then he denies Jesus three times. How did Peter get from confessing Christ & defending Christ to denying Christ?- - 11/2/2014
“The Peace of God" - [Philippians 4:6-13] - Who does not desires to have peace? This world can be a cruel, harsh, troublesome place - a place of worry, anxiety, Stress, fear and terror . . . WE ALL WANT PEACE - - BUT - most are searching for it in all the wrong places and all the wrong ways. This study examines what the peace of God is, (real, lasting peace), in contrast with the pseudo peace offered by the world & how we can find & have this true peace.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Do you not know that the

God.
Gal 5:19-21 (NKJV)

told you in time past, that those
who practice such things will
not inherit the kingdom of God.

EVERY SIN IS EQUALLY DEADLY!
Sin separates one from God - Isa. 59,1,2
Sin will keep one out of heaven unless they
repent - 1 Co 6:11; Gal. 5:21
Repentance - a change of mind that results in a
change in actions - cf. Ezekiel 18:21-32
“Except you repent you will perish” - Lk 13:3,5
“God commands all men everywhere to repent …”
Acts 17:30,31;
4. “Though your sins be as scarlet”
- Isaiah 1:18;
If the wicked turns - Ez 18:21-23;
Jesus came to call - Mat 9:13;
The chief of sinners - 1 Tim 1:15;
God’s longsuffering - 2 Pet 3:9
For which sin is the blood of
Christ insufficient? – 1 John 1:2
Grace does NOT allow us to
continue in sin! — Rom 6:1-24

God is willing to forgive the vilest of sinners
5. 1 John 5:14–21 (NKJV)
14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him,
that if we ask anything according to His will, He
hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us,
whatever we ask, we know that we have the
petitions that we have asked of Him. 16 If anyone
sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to
death, he will ask, and He will give him life for
those who commit sin not leading to death. There
is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should
pray about that. 17 All unrighteousness is sin, and
there is sin not leading to death.
6. 1 John 5:14–21 (NKJV)
18 We know that whoever is born of God does
not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps
himself, and the wicked one does not touch
him. 19 We know that we are of God, and the
whole world lies under the sway of the wicked
one. 20 And we know that the Son of God has
come and has given us an understanding, that
we may know Him who is true; and we are in
Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This
is the true God and eternal life. 21 Little
children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

death, not spiritual death … A believer can
commit a sin which will cause the Lord to
just take him to heaven. He doesn’t go to
hell, he goes to heaven. … It is any sin the
Lord deems to be serious to the point
where you are better off removed from the
church because of your influence.”

What About “Blaspheming the
Holy Spirit?” — Mat. 12:31,32
Jesus had cast a demon out of a
blind and mute man (Mat 12:22),
People confessed him to be the
Christ (vs 23).
The Pharisees charged that Jesus
cast out demons "by Beelzebub
the ruler of the demons“ (vs 24).
Jesus demonstrated the absurdity
of this charge (vs 25-30).

Their heart was so hardened with

Not a case of the unwillingness or
inability of God to forgive.
BUT - a matter of the unwillingness
and inability of those with hardened
hearts to believe unto forgiveness.
Those who ridicule & reject the
evidence God has given reject God’s
provision of forgiveness –
They have NO HOPE? (Jn 14:6)

2 Peter 2:20–22 (NKJV)
20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the
world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and
overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the
beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not
to have known the way of righteousness, than having
known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered
to them. 22 But it has happened to them according to the
true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow,
having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

The possibility of apostasy is real, not
