3. Acknowledge the Lord.
◦ James 4:15: “If the Lord wills…”
◦ Prov. 3:6: “In all your ways acknowledge Him…”
Live in the present.
◦ James 4:14: “Do not know what will happen.”
◦ Prov. 27:1: “Do not boast about tomorrow…”
◦ Matt. 6:34: “Tomorrow will worry about its own.”
◦ The present moment: Only one we can truly
impact.
4. Do what the Lord wills.
◦ James 4:15: The problem is not the concept
of planning; it is leaving God out of the plan.
◦ Luke 6:46: Surrender our lives to God.
Do not procrastinate.
◦ James 4:17: If we know the right thing to do,
we need to do it right now.
◦ Prov. 3:27-28: Never put off what you can
do now.
5. Psalm 39:5, 11; 144:4: Our days are
passing.
Eph. 5:15-16: Make the most of our time.
Redeeming the time means taking advantage of
opportunities for service.
