The BSE Sensex ended with a loss of 97 points at 27,430. The BSE Sensex opened at 27,518 touched an intra-day high of 27,601 and low of 27,399. The NSE Nifty closed with a loss of 29 points at 8,485. The NSE Nifty opened at 8,499.85 hitting a high of 8,538 and low of 8,476.

 The Sensex and Nifty closed near a 4-month low amid weakness in global markets and uncertainty about the out-
come of US presidential elections which weighed on the sentiment.
 The BSE Sensex ended with a loss of 97 points at 27,430. The BSE Sensex opened at 27,518 touched an intra-day high
of 27,601 and low of 27,399. The NSE Nifty closed with a loss of 29 points at 8,485. The NSE Nifty opened at 8,499.85
hitting a high of 8,538 and low of 8,476.
 The Nifty traded in a tight band for a major part of the day and witnessed stock specific selling. However, spot slipped
below the crucial level of 8500 and ended 30 points lower near the four-month low. Nifty futures premium settled at
33 points. India VIX fell 2.0% to 16.5
 FIIs sold 707 crore while DIIs bought 535 crore in the cash segment. FIIs sold 416 crore in index futures and bought
1160 crore in index options. In stock futures, they sold 339 crore.
 The highest Put base is at the 8500 strike with 38 lakh shares while the highest Call base is at the 9000 strike with 56
lakh shares. The 8700 and 8800 Call strikes saw additions of 3.9 and 5.3 lakh shares, respectively, while the 8200 and
8300 Put strikes saw additions of 4.7 and 2.7 lakh shares, respectively.
 Nifty Future: The Nifty is likely to open negative on the back of weak global cues. Sell Nifty in range of 8545-8555
for target of 8515, stop loss: 8570.
 Bank Nifty Future: Selling was clearly visible in banking heavyweights. However, IndusInd Bank along with Axis
Bank saw decent covering on account of weekly settlement. We feel the index is likely to remain volatile and advise
creating short positions on the bounce unless the index moves and closes above 19500. Sell Bank Nifty in the range of
19400-19450, targets: 19250-19200, stop loss: 19530
