STATUS EPILEPTICUS
Status epilepticus (SE) refers to a life-threatening condition in which the brain is in a state of persistent seizure.
Epilepsy
The epilepsies are a spectrum of brain disorders ranging from severe,
life-threatening and disabling, to ones that are much
more benign. In epilepsy, the normal
pattern of neuronal activity becomes disturbed, causing strange
sensations, emotions,
and behavior or sometimes convulsions,
muscle spasms, and loss of consciousness. The epilepsies have many
possible causes
and there are several types of seizures.
Anything that disturbs the normal pattern of neuron activity—from
illness to brain
damage to abnormal brain development—can
lead to seizures.
Epilepsy may develop because of an abnormality in
brain wiring,
an imbalance of nerve signaling chemicals
called neurotransmitters, changes in important features of brain cells
called channels,
or some combination of these and other
factors. Having a single seizure as the result of a high fever (called
febrile seizure)
or head injury does not necessarily mean
that a person has epilepsy. Only when a person has had two or more
seizures is he
or she considered to have epilepsy. A
measurement of electrical activity in the brain and brain scans such as
magnetic resonance
imaging or computed tomography are common
diagnostic tests for epilepsy.

STATUS EPILEPTICUS
Status epilepticus (SE) refers to a life-threatening condition in which the brain is in a state of persistent seizure.
Epilepsy
The epilepsies are a spectrum of brain disorders ranging from severe,
life-threatening and disabling, to ones that are much
more benign. In epilepsy, the normal
pattern of neuronal activity becomes disturbed, causing strange
sensations, emotions,
and behavior or sometimes convulsions,
muscle spasms, and loss of consciousness. The epilepsies have many
possible causes
and there are several types of seizures.
Anything that disturbs the normal pattern of neuron activity—from
illness to brain
damage to abnormal brain development—can
lead to seizures.
Epilepsy may develop because of an abnormality in
brain wiring,
an imbalance of nerve signaling chemicals
called neurotransmitters, changes in important features of brain cells
called channels,
or some combination of these and other
factors. Having a single seizure as the result of a high fever (called
febrile seizure)
or head injury does not necessarily mean
that a person has epilepsy. Only when a person has had two or more
seizures is he
or she considered to have epilepsy. A
measurement of electrical activity in the brain and brain scans such as
magnetic resonance
imaging or computed tomography are common
diagnostic tests for epilepsy.

Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder that causes shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with movement coordination. It is believed to be caused by both genetic and environmental factors. Mounting evidence shows that breathing polluted air increases the risk of developing Parkinson's, as pollutants and toxins can poison the nervous system and cause inflammation. This inflammation can increase the accumulation of a protein linked to Parkinson's and decrease neurons important for movement control. While some environmental exposures may lower Parkinson's risk, others like pesticides, solvents, metals, and other pollutants have been associated with an increased risk and can recreate Parkinson's pathology in animal models.

Each year, another 150,000 people are diagnosed with epilepsy. The disorders affect both males and females and can develop at any age. Epilepsy is a constant infection of the mind portrayed by a persevering (i.e., continuing) inclination to create seizures, unmerited by any prompt focal sensory system affront, and by the neurobiologic, mental and social results of seizure repeats. Epilepsy is perhaps of the most widely recognized and crippling neurologic condition, yet we have a fragmented comprehension of the point by point pathophysiology and, in this way, treatment reasoning for quite a bit of epilepsy. AEDs are the most commonly used treatment for epilepsy. They help control seizures in around 7 out of 10 of people.AEDs work by changing the levels of chemicals in your brain. They do not cure epilepsy, but can stop seizures happening.
