2. Need for the Project
• Our community always
suffers from flood because of
three reasons. First, our
region always experience
typhoons or heavy rains;
second, the river streams
were too dirty that it blocks
the passage of water; and
lastly, our community is not
knowledgeable on the
disasters that the dirty river
streams may bring them.

3. Goal
• This project aims for a community
that is safe from flood and well-
informed on the disasters that it
may bring.

4. Project Activity
• I first informed the barangay captain about
the clean-up drive that I organized in the
community. We asked some citizens for help
in cleaning up the river streams. There were
five volunteers and we discussed the plan for
the clean-up drive. During the activity, the
volunteers help in weeding the river streams.
I also helped them and gave information on
flooding during the clean-up. They said that
they did not only know the importance of a
clean environment, but they helped the
community from flooding that caused a lot of
problem.

5. Step by Step Planning
• Inform the barangay captain about the
clean-up drive that I will organize.
• Asked some citizens for help in cleaning
up the river streams.
• Clean up the river streams.
• Give information about the importance of
the clean-up drive.

6. Results
• Five young students volunteered in
cleaning up the river side. And this five
young students will act as a bridge
towards a clean and protected
environment. The river streams were
cleaned and the water that passes it was
no longer blocked and the community is
now well-informed about the importance
of the cleanliness of the environment. It
may be one of the steps in the
environment improvements.
