2. Need for the project
Whenever there is a typhoon,
people in our place doesn't sleep.
They stay awake and watch the
nearby river if it'll overflow. I pity
them especially most of my
neighborhoods are children and
senior citizens. There is a need for
the river to be cleaned in order for
it to stop overflowing whenever
there is a typhoon. Segregating
our wastes is also one of the major
concerns that we should be aware
of.
3. Goal
My project aims to educate my peers especially
when it comes to the importance of segregating
our wastes and proper garbage disposal. I want
our river to be cleaned since it will benefit not
only our Mother Earth but also the community
and the citizens in our place.
4. Project activity
To achieve my goal I went to our Barangay
Captain and SK Chairman for them to be
informed of my project and its benefits to our
community.
I ask the help of the citizens in order for my
project to be fruitful. We discussed the materials
we will need and the day when my project will be
implemented.
When all the materials are set, we started
cleaning up the garbage in the river.
5. Step by Step planning
1. I organized a group of youths together
with their parents in planning the things we
will need when we will implement our
program in our community.
2. I explained the goals and benefits of my
project to them and asked for their opinions
and suggestions in making my project more
interesting to the community especially to the
youth.
6. 3. We finalized the plans and started cleaning up
the river the next day. We segregated the wastes
in the river and put it on a sack. the things that
can be recycled where turned over to the
Barangay Hall and the plastics were given to the
youth and will be given to the junkshops for it
to be recycled as plastics.
7. • 4. We also plant fruit-bearing trees near
the river where we removed the wastes
caused by the citizens.
8. Result
All in all there were 8 volunteers who
become aware of the importance of
cleanliness and the importance of trees in the
community.
The river was cleaned due to the help of the
citizen in our community
Cleaner surroundings. With trees that can
benefit us and our Mother Earth.
9. The whole project maybe exhausting and
some inevitable problems occurred…
I can say that it’s worth it since we went
home with a smile on our faces….
and we’re proud to say that even though
we’re still at our young age….
We can make a difference!
