HUMAN PERSON
A living being that contains a real
and existing to direct its own
development toward
fulfilment through perfect,
unconditional, and infinite truth,

and will do so if all the proper
conditions are met.(Spitzer1999).

MAN AND HIS ENVIRONMENT
• RATIONALE:
– According to the point of view of every
creationist, man was originally created perfect
and placed in a perfect, friendly environment
designed to be his home.
He does not see agriculture as destructive of
nature but remembers that God intended the
earth to be cultivated (Gen. 2:5, 15).

• In this perspective, everything in creation is
recognized as having its own rightful place.
Yahweh/God pronounced that all His creation
was exceedingly good (Gen.1:31).
– Therefore, respect for the Creator requires respect
His creation. It is thus with a sense of respect,
for
humility, gratitude and obligation that the creationist
assumes his role as steward of his Master's estate
and cares for God's handiwork, not to please himself
with personal comfort, but to please his Creator and
to have fellowship with Him.

Environmental philosophy
Environmental philosophy/ethics is the discipline
that studies the moral relationships of human
beings with the environment and its non-human
contents.
Like other sciences, philosophy also seeks to
explore the relationship between humanity and the
environment through environmental philosophy or
environmental ethics.
19. SLIDESMANIA.COM
Environmental Aesthetics
Philosophical view that believes maintaining
order in the environment will bring out the
natural beauty of the surroundings and
contribute to the well-being of the people
and other organisms living in it. The
appreciation of beauty brings about
concern for the environment and helps
people relate more effectively with nature.

Anthropocentrism
A view that considers humans to be the
most important species with a
superior worth than other species.
This view mainly focuses on humans
and puts the other entities of the
natural world at the background.
Human beings continually destroy and
consume natural resources for their
own interest to the point of
degradation, and worst to extinction.
22. SLIDESMANIA.COM
Biocentrism
It claims that humans are not the
only important species on the
earth and that they are not
inherently greater to other living
things.
It suggests that humans are equal
members of the environment and
that humans and other living
things are interdependent.

Ecocentrism
This view believes that humankind
is merely a portion of the biological
system or community and that we
have an vital role as guardians of
nature.
Ecocentrism tells us that both
living and non-living organisms are
reliant on the processes in the
ecosystem.

Editor's Notes
BECAUSE IT IS ONLY NATURAL FOR A HUMAN PERSON TO HAVE LIMITS. FOR EXAMPLE, AS A TYPICAL STUDENT WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR LIMITATIONS COMAPRED TO YOUR PARENTS?more over, DIG DEEPER, AND BE SPECIFIC WE SHOULD SAY NGA MAY LAWAS AKO THAT’S WHY MAKASASALA AKO. IT IS TO DISTINGUISH THAT IT IS OUR BODY ANG MAKASASALA KAG INDI ANG SOUL.
Through time, as long as we have time there are unlimited possibilities for transcendence. But as a human person, and embodied spirit composed of body and soul, we only have a limited time to live so we have a limited possibilities for transcendence.
Does this scenario affect us?
Artificial weather. Man made weather. Weather can be created or manipulated. Environmental disasters is man made because everything is interconnected.
Masdan mo ang kapaligiran.
Not only a living being but we are also an embodied spirit. That distinguish us from any other living beings in the environment. Animals are living beings. Plants are living beings but they are not embodied spirit because they do not posses the ability to think, the ability to transcendence, the ability to surpass their limits.
This involves living and non living organisms. For example, subjectively or by partial thinking you as a student is part of my environment, table is part of my environment, eraser, chalks monitor. But objectively or holistic thinking we are all part of the environment, we are one community, community of PNHS.
A basic reason or explanation for something. Man was created. Context of Christianity. Man does not evolve from ape but it was created meaning that there is someone in a higher level that exist. Indi naton pwd matawag nga tawo sya kai kung tawgon naton tawo sya meaning he was also created. That is why we have the word GOD, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end which we call GOD. WE ARE ALL CALLED TO BE AN AGRICULTURIST. WE ARE CALLED TO CULTIVATE THE LAND.
In old testament, specifically sa Genesis, Our Creator wanted to emphasize respect, respect to Him and his creation, that is why if you respect God you should obey Him. But, in the later part of the Old testament,it what as being emphasized, sa ginatudlo sa judaims if you could remember, was obedience because man do not respect God anymore. See the difference.
No man is independent. Now do you believe in what other people say strong independent woman/man? We always interact with each other. We need others. We affect other people’s lives and other people also affects us.
Philosophers believed that we have a special relationship with nature. Going back sa aton rationale or in the story of creation. Stewards of the environment – overseer or ang manug dumala, manug atipan sa environment. It concerns about the right and wrong, good and bad behavior.
Branch of philosophy that deals with beauty and what makes things beautiful.
