A manager is responsible for planning, directing work, and taking corrective actions as needed within an existing business. Key differences are that entrepreneurs are self-employed owners who bear full risk, while managers are salaried employees. Entrepreneurs focus on innovation and change, while managers focus on implementation and routines within the business structure. Entrepreneurs make decisions based on intuition, while managers rely on data analysis.
