Teaching Elder Duke Shelley of Black Forest Chapel continues a series on Revelation. Part 14 explores further the letter to the Church at Philadelphia.
Sermon 06.16.13 - The Inheritance - Genesis 12 - Kyle BorgerCody Nazarene Church
The document contains passages from the Bible describing God's commands and promises to Abraham to leave his homeland and become a great nation, the Israelites complaining about their journey in the wilderness and wanting to return to Egypt, God's anger at their lack of faith and promise to destroy them, but forgiveness through Moses, and teachings in Ephesians about putting off the old self and behaviors and putting on the new self by speaking truth, controlling anger, avoiding theft and harmful speech, and showing compassion.
Psalm 100 is a psalm of thanksgiving that calls people of all lands to praise God joyfully for creating them and caring for them like a shepherd cares for his flock. The psalmist reminds the reader that God is good and his mercy and faithfulness endure forever.
Galatians 2 details an incident where the Apostle Paul rebuked Peter for withdrawing from eating with Gentile believers out of fear of criticism from others. Paul reminds them that people are justified, or made righteous, through faith in Christ rather than by obeying religious laws. Living by faith and relying on God's grace through Christ, not the law, is the true path for believers.
Paul preaches in Thessalonica and Berea about Jesus, gaining converts. However, jealous Jews from Thessalonica stir up crowds in both places against Paul. In Athens, Paul finds the city full of idols and preaches in the synagogue and marketplace. Some think he is a "babbler" or preaches "foreign divinities." Brought before the Areopagus, Paul tells them about the God who created all and is Lord of heaven and earth, not dwelling in temples or needing service, and that all people should seek and find him.

This document provides passages from the Bible about remembering God's nature and power, confirming his purpose, asking God for daily needs and forgiveness, repenting from sin, asking to be kept from temptation and evil, praising God for his glory, and acknowledging eternity. Key points include God ruling over all from heaven, his glorious holiness, granting requests, forgiving others as Christ forgave us, God protecting believers from being tempted beyond their endurance, and the vision of a new heaven and earth without pain or death.
How do we define prosperity? It depends on whether we are defining according to God's word or the world's ideas. There is a worldly prosperity and there is a spiritual prosperity. What produces spiritual prosperity? Meditating on and obeying God's word; faith in God and His word; being content with Godliness and what He has given us. What is the value of spiritual prosperity? It abides and produces true success.
Giving is important for several reasons according to the document: it makes us more like God by imitating His generous nature, it draws us closer to God spiritually, it strengthens our faith in God's provision, and it is an investment in eternal rewards. Giving also reveals our level of spiritual maturity in following Christ's example of sacrificial giving.
Abraham believed God's promise that he would have many descendants, despite being old and his wife Sarah being unable to have children. Through faith, Abraham obeyed God and was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac, believing that God could raise him from death. Abraham is considered a father to all who have faith, as he was credited with righteousness because of his faith in God.
11.23.14 part 4 The Grace of God in our Times of Need and ProsperityCatherine Lirio
The document discusses the concept of grace in Christianity. It provides biblical references that describe grace as God's unmerited favor and blessings that humans do not deserve. Grace is seen in salvation, spiritual development, calling to ministry, and times of need. Several passages encourage believers to approach God's throne of grace with confidence to receive mercy and help in their times of need. Grace is associated with Jesus Christ and God enriching believers through Christ's poverty. Overall the document explores the meaning and importance of grace from a Christian theological perspective.
The document discusses the biblical phrase "calling on the name of the Lord" from Romans 10:13. It explores what this means by looking at other passages. Calling on the Lord's name involves believing, repenting of sins, and being baptized in Jesus' name. It requires hearing the gospel through preaching, and having faith that comes from hearing the Word of God. Paul's conversion experience is used as an example of someone who called on the Lord's name by seeing Christ, believing, fasting, praying, and being baptized to wash away his sins.

Parables of the Lost Sheep & Coin - Parables ReloadedMartin Oxby
The document discusses Jesus' parables of the lost sheep and lost coin from the Bible. It summarizes that the parables teach that both Christians and non-Christians can wander away from God and the church, but God will pursue even one lost person. The document urges Christians to watch out for signs of wandering in themselves, their families, and other Christians, and to share the love of Christ without judgment with those who are not yet believers.
Ananias and his wife Sapphira sold a piece of property but kept back some of the money for themselves, lying to the apostles by claiming they gave all the proceeds. Peter confronted Ananias about the lie, and he immediately died. Later, when Peter questioned Sapphira she also lied and immediately died after being confronted. Their deaths were seen as a sign of judgment from God and created great fear among the early Christian community.
The document discusses a parable in pottery from Jeremiah 18:3-4. It uses this parable to draw comparisons between God as the potter and humans as clay vessels. As the potter, God has power and will either heal or destroy based on the clay's response. The prophet Jeremiah is called to be obedient, observant and helpful. However, the people respond with indignance, inventing their own paths and acting irrationally. In the end, God will destroy those who harden their hearts like a potter destroys a flawed vessel.
Paul expresses his desire for Israel to be saved. However, Israel did not understand God's righteousness and instead tried to establish their own righteousness. True righteousness comes through faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying Mosaic law. One must believe in their heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord to be saved. Faith comes from hearing the word of God.
God intended for the Jews to live in the land he promised them. The problem is: this land was already occupied by other people. In telling the Jews to “take” the land, did God command genocide or ethnic cleansing? This is a difficult and often misunderstood part of the Old Testament history. How can a God of love be responsible for wiping out “innocent” people, for the sake of his own…or were they innocent?
This document provides a summary and analysis of Psalm 15. It notes that the Psalm asks who can dwell in God's sanctuary and live on His holy hill. It explains that these refer to the Garden of Eden and Mount Zion. The document then analyzes the character traits described in Psalm 15:2-5, noting that no one is fully righteous. It argues that only Jesus Christ, as our great High Priest, is able to dwell in God's presence. Through His sacrifice, believers can now approach God's throne with confidence, assured of His mercy and grace.

„... however, now I have to fulfill the promise that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, takes from My things and shakes them on the earth so that My mysteries may be known, their inter-pretation and purpose as well, sons, (John: 15/26; 16/13)...”
What legacy, what lasting message do you want to pass on? Farewell addresses are enduring - George Washington's to the nation, General MacArthur's at West Point or before Congress, and in the Bible, Jacob's farewell blessings to his sons (Gen. 49), the apostle Paul's address to the Ephesian elders (Acts 20) and our Lord's farewell to His disciples (Jn. 13-17). This presentation is a study of Joshua's final farewell, at the age of 110, to a people he has lead and loved for more than 75 years. His final words are a call to commitment and covenant to the Lord God of Israel.
It then explores how individuals can experience salvation through repentance, faith, justification and regeneration as they contemplate God's love and pardoning grace shown through Christ's death. Salvation radically changes the believer as it forgives all sin and grants them new life.
This document discusses music as a gift from God that can uplift thoughts and inspire the soul when used rightly. It emphasizes that vocal music and the human voice are particularly sacred. The ability to sing and make music is from God and should be used to glorify Him. Music binds families together and draws us closer to God. Effective song leadership requires preparation, practice, and prayer. Music selection should focus on God and strengthen relationships with Christ. Overall, the document presents music as an important part of spiritual programs that can communicate God's love when used to honor Him.
Nicodemus visits Jesus at night, acknowledging him as a teacher from God. Jesus tells Nicodemus he needs a spiritual rebirth, which is difficult for Nicodemus to understand. Jesus explains that spiritual transformation is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit, producing conversion and a new life in Christ. The document then discusses what it means to be born again through the work of the Holy Spirit, the need to continually abide in Christ, and taking up one's cross daily to deny oneself and follow him.
This document provides a summary and analysis of Lesson 10 from a series on the book of Proverbs. It examines several key passages and concepts. The lesson explores how Proverbs helps uncover hidden realities and deceptions. It discusses different ways people deceive through language, like flattering words that disguise ugly intentions. The lesson also analyzes proverbs about the enemy posing as a friend, the friend acting as an enemy, and the dangers of laziness and foolishness. Throughout, it applies the proverbs to counsel wisdom and discernment in relationships.

This document discusses Jesus Christ's relationship to the law of God. It makes three key points:
1) Jesus perfectly obeyed God's law, honoring his parents, refusing Satan, keeping the Sabbath, and never sinning. He showed us how to obey through love.
2) The law of God establishes how to love God and others. Jesus taught this through the two greatest commandments of loving God and neighbor. All other commandments depend on these two.
3) We will be judged by Jesus according to how well we showed love for God and others as measured by God's unchanging law. Jesus will judge with mercy as one who understands our struggles through his own experience.
This document contains lyrics to 24 Christian songs that are often sung by children. The songs have upbeat melodies and focus on themes of praising God, following Jesus, sharing love with others, and having faith and courage. Many encourage working together to build God's kingdom and make positive changes in the world.
Sickness and suffering are experienced by all. Still, God is our Father and His love for us is unfathomable. We should approach God with a trusting prayer for our own healing and for that of others. Make healing prayers an ordinary part of our lives in our families and communities, assist those in need, and seek to cure diseases. The document outlines seven rules of great achievers based on the biblical story of Peter walking on water. The rules are: 1) have clarity of purpose, 2) be prepared to face challenges, 3) appreciate invisible support, 4) follow instructions willingly, 5) take risks and leave your comfort zone, 6) stay focused without distraction, and 7) choose supportive partners. Each rule is then explained in more detail with examples and biblical references. The overall message is that achieving great things requires clear goals, perseverance through difficulties, trusting guidance, courage to try new things, focus, and choosing encouraging collaborators.
1) Abraham lived a life of stewardship through faith by obeying God even when the details of where he was going were unclear.
2) God tested Abraham's faith by asking him to sacrifice his son Isaac. Abraham showed his faith in God's promise and ability to raise the dead by being willing to sacrifice Isaac.
3) God provided a ram to sacrifice instead of Isaac, showing that God always provides and wants people to trust him fully.

It provides tips for prioritizing tasks by importance and urgency, identifying time wasters, and planning activities to make the best use of available time. Key aspects of time management include planning, setting goals, tracking time usage, and eliminating unnecessary activities. The example of Jesus prioritizing time with God and his disciples is given.
This document discusses time stewardship and provides tips for effectively managing one's time. It emphasizes that time is a precious resource given by God, and it should be invested wisely into opportunities that further God's kingdom. It also provides references for further resources on time management best practices.
The document discusses the need for the Seventh-day Adventist Church to adapt its approach to stewardship and ministry to remain relevant in a changing world. It notes that the church's focus needs to shift from money and programs to developing disciples of Jesus Christ. The church also needs more flexible systems to connect with people. The conclusion emphasizes that stewardship should be viewed as a spiritual way of life that affirms God and is consistent with the church's mission to tell the world about Jesus. Initiatives are proposed to develop stewardship education curriculum and resources for various groups.
Example of a Faithful Servant - Genesis 24David Turner
Abraham sent a faithful servant to find a wife for Isaac. This PowerPoint has 42 slides and can be divided into more than one lesson. The primary focus is on the character qualities of the servant, but also focuses on the sovereign plan of God. Download PowerPoint at www.Bibleguy.org
The document discusses time management techniques. It begins by outlining objectives of understanding time management concepts, implementing them, developing time management skills, and overcoming challenges. It then discusses the importance of time management for planning daily activities efficiently, overcoming procrastination, and achieving goals. Key aspects covered include prioritizing tasks, setting SMART goals, creating schedules, and avoiding time wasters. Specific techniques presented are Pareto's principle, prioritization matrices, organizing with to-do lists, saying no to unnecessary tasks, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Joseph has another dream where his brothers and parents bow down to him, angering his brothers. Joseph is then sold into slavery in Egypt by his brothers. There he is purchased by Potiphar and becomes successful, put in charge of Potiphar's household. However, Potiphar's wife tries to seduce Joseph daily, which he refuses until she grabs him and he flees, leaving his coat. She then falsely accuses him of attacking her, resulting in Joseph being thrown into prison.
1. A faithful servant of the Lord is useful to him. The parable contrasts the faithful servants who gained more talents with the unfaithful servant who hid his talent and was thrown out as worthless. Our purpose is to be used by God, not use him.
2. A faithful servant is a joy to the Lord. The faithful servants heard "well done, good and faithful servant" and were allowed to share in their master's happiness. Unfaithful servants disappoint the Lord.
3. A faithful servant is not lazy. The unfaithful servant was called "wicked and lazy" for failing to work with his talent. Faithful servants work diligently for the Lord without growing weary.
This document discusses the concept of stewardship. It defines a steward as someone who manages resources entrusted to them by another. There are four key principles of biblical stewardship:
1. God owns all things and we are simply managers of what He has given us.
2. We are responsible for how we use the resources God has entrusted to us.
3. We will be held accountable by God for how we managed what was given to us.
4. Faithful stewardship will be rewarded by God both in this life and the next.
Stewardship involves using our time, talents, and treasures for God's purposes and glory, not our own. It is a way
This document contains several Bible verses that reference Jesus Christ's relationship with God the Father. The verses describe Jesus referring to God as his Father and doing only what the Father commands. They show Jesus praying to the Father, being identified by the Father as his beloved Son, and ascending to heaven to be with the Father. The overall message is about Jesus submitting his will to God and their relationship as Father and Son.

Does salvation and eternal life with our Creator come just by belief only? Does it require ANY effort on our part? Is the typical Evangelical teaching about the "sinner's prayer" and "once saved, always saved" true or false?
This document discusses Jesus' statement that Scripture cannot be broken. It provides four reasons from Scripture why this is the case: 1) The Bible is given by God and inspired, 2) History and prophecies have proven it correct, 3) The gospel contained in Scripture saves those who believe, and 4) Scripture will judge all people at the last day. The document uses multiple Bible verses to support each of these four reasons for why Scripture, as the word of God, cannot be broken or altered.
The document discusses how God's anger is avoided through Christ, belief in Christ, confession of sin and repentance. It notes that God's anger is slow, righteous, and not to be questioned. The document also describes how God's anger is manifested in terrors, afflictions and cannot be resisted.
The document analyzes various passages from the Gospel of Matthew to argue that the Holy Spirit is not a separate person from God the Father. It notes that in many verses only the Father is mentioned or referred to, without mentioning the Son or Holy Spirit. It asks rhetorical questions about why only the Father is referred to in certain contexts like forgiveness, knowing things, and rewarding people, if the Trinity refers to three co-equal persons. The document aims to prove that the Holy Spirit is just another way for God to reveal himself, and is not a separate person from the one God who is the Father.
Repentance is a change in your allegiance, your expectations, your values, your priorities, your mission and your morals. can you say there has been a change in your life since you met the Lord?
The document discusses the Beatitude "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" from the Bible. It explains that mourning opens the door to genuine repentance for what we've done and who we are as sinful beings. Mourning involves regret, remorse, and repentance with one's mind, heart, and will. The story of the prodigal son returning to his father in repentance is provided as an example.
New paradise outreach spiritual warfare presentationAaron Walker
This document contains several Bible passages that discuss witnessing and spreading the gospel. It begins with Jesus commanding his disciples to go and teach all nations. It then discusses how believers should commit what they have learned to faithful men to teach others. Several passages discuss spiritual warfare and resisting the devil. There are also passages about forgiveness, being fishers of men to spread the gospel, the road to salvation through belief and confession, God's love for the world in sending Jesus, and the victory belonging to God through salvation.

The document discusses signs that someone may be like the Pharisees from the Bible. It suggests that a Pharisee is someone who prides themselves on being better than others, values outward appearances over inward character, and is quick to judge others while overlooking their own faults. A Pharisee also claims to have no sin, believes their own traditions supersede God's word, and looks for loopholes in scripture to justify their desires. Ultimately, a Pharisee's words and actions are hypocritical and do not match. The document uses several Bible passages to support each point.
The document provides information about a church service at the Jackson Street Church of Christ. It includes a welcome message and requests to turn off cell phones. The document then shares a Bible passage from Psalm 1. It proceeds to give a sermon outline about growing like a tree, discussing how a tree grows upward, downward, inward, and outward. The document closes by comparing a person's life to a tree and asking if one is growing in these four ways.

The document discusses several key aspects of the Holy Spirit:
1) The Holy Spirit indwells believers according to several passages.
2) Speaking against the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable sin according to Jesus, referring to attributing His works to Satan.
3) The gift of the Holy Spirit is received through obedience to the gospel including baptism, sealing believers as children of God.
The document contains several Bible passages that discuss the identity and role of Jesus Christ. It describes Jesus asking his disciples who they say he is, with Peter correctly identifying him as the Christ/Son of God. It also references prophecies about a virgin giving birth, Jesus saving people from their sins and having various names like Immanuel meaning "God with us." Additionally, it discusses Jesus being the mediator between God and humanity and laying down his life to purchase the church with his blood. The overall message is about defining who Jesus is as the Son of God and savior of mankind.
Genesis 47:13-15 Now there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very severe, so that the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan languished because of the famine. 14 And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, for the grain which they bought; and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house. 15 So when the money failed in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph and said, "Give us bread, for why should we die in your presence? For the money has failed." There are a number of reasons that money fails.
1) Truth is an essential aspect of God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. God is described as a God of truth, Christ is the truth and spoke truth, and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth.
2) The document outlines many ways that truth is important for both believers and non-believers, including worshipping, serving, and walking with God in truth. It also discusses how truth is related to righteousness, the gospel, and sanctification.
3) In contrast, the wicked are described as lacking truth, not speaking truth, and being punished for their lack of truth.
This document discusses the necessity of salvation through Jesus Christ. It begins by explaining that we must understand God's holiness and our own sinfulness and unrighteousness. It then explains who Jesus is as the Word made flesh, who lived a sinless life and died for our sins. We are called to repent of our sins, deny ourselves, and follow Christ by taking up our cross. Counting the full cost of discipleship is required. Finally, it emphasizes that salvation through Jesus is worth any cost, as it is the only way to be reconciled to God and spared from His wrath.
This document provides a summary of key biblical prophecies and doctrines from a sermon by Bro. Jimmy S. Garin. It discusses the importance of revelation to believers, explaining concepts like the seven seals and seven thunders from the book of Revelation. Several Bible passages are examined, highlighting prophecies about Israel, the end times, God's sovereignty, election, and the mystery of the gospel. In conclusion, it suggests we may be living in the time period described by the opening of the seven seals and reveals the mysteries contained within.
This document discusses the importance of forgiveness and provides a 10-step process for achieving forgiveness. It notes that one of the devil's deadliest schemes is unforgiven wounds, and that Jesus taught forgiveness is necessary for God to forgive our sins. The 10-step process involves facing what happened, letting God in, being clear on the goal of forgiveness, reflecting on biblical passages about forgiveness, making the decision to forgive, letting a friend help, and finding freedom through forgiveness.
This document discusses the importance of forgiveness and provides steps to achieve forgiveness. It notes that unforgiveness can chain the heart and prevent one from being forgiven by God. The Bible teaches that we must forgive others for their sins against us in order to be forgiven by God for our own sins. The document then outlines ten steps to forgiveness, beginning with facing the hurt and letting God take control of it, being clear on the goal of forgiveness which is to honor and submit to God in order to be free and forgiven.
This document discusses the importance of forgiveness and how unforgiven wounds can keep us chained. It notes that our struggle is not against people but against spiritual forces, and one of the devil's most deadly schemes is unforgiven wounds, which can lead to resentment, bitterness, anger and hatred. It provides biblical passages that emphasize the importance of forgiveness for our own freedom and forgiveness by God. The document encourages examining our hearts for any unforgiven hurts that are affecting us and to pray for strength to face them, believe we can forgive through God's power and love, and ask God to lead us to the freedom that forgiveness provides.
Jesus criticized the scribes and Pharisees for not following their own teachings and instead focusing on outward appearances and honors. He delivered seven woes against them for shutting people out of heaven's kingdom, treating converts harshly, ignoring justice while focusing on minor legal points, neglecting inner purity while appearing outwardly clean, and honoring past prophets but being like those who killed them.
The passage from Psalm 34:1-8 describes how the LORD is good and how those who trust in Him will be blessed. It encourages the reader to taste and see for themselves that the LORD is good. God's goodness can be seen in creation, redemption through Jesus Christ, and the rewards of heaven. Those who cry out to the LORD will be heard, saved from troubles, and surrounded by God's protection. Blessed are those who put their trust in the infinitely and eternally good LORD.
The document discusses reasoning together and unity through love. It references scriptures encouraging walking together in humility, gentleness, patience, and bearing with one another in love. Romans 14 is cited as applying to matters where the Bible does not explicitly say to do or not do something - in such cases, people should not judge one another or cause others to stumble. The overall message is that Christians should follow what the Bible teaches, but be unified and accepting of one another.
This document discusses the biblical figures of Noah, Enoch, and their relationship with God. It notes that Noah was a righteous man who walked with God, and that Enoch walked with God for 300 years before being taken by God, having pleased God through his faith. The document suggests that Enoch must have been in agreement with God and had a willingness to conform to God's ways through his faith and trust in God.
This short document discusses the Jewish tradition of Tashlikh, where Jews symbolically cast away their sins on Rosh Hashanah by tossing pieces of bread or pebbles into bodies of running water. While the ritual originally involved literally throwing stones, it now represents casting away wrongs from the past year and starting anew. The document suggests that in a sense, people still throw symbolic stones today through this annual tradition of cleansing oneself before God.
This document discusses conflicting voices and provides guidance on whose voice to listen to. It warns about listening to the voice of passion and instead encourages listening to the voice of conscience. However, the most important voice is staying with revealed truth from Scripture. The document cautions that we should not accept any gospel other than what is revealed in the Bible and has been received by believers.
God calls Jonah to go to Nineveh and preach against their wickedness. However, Jonah flees by ship to Tarshish to avoid the call. God sends a storm that endangers the ship, and the sailors discover through casting lots that Jonah is responsible. Jonah instructs them to throw him overboard, which calms the sea. He goes to Nineveh as instructed and preaches repentance, and amazingly the entire city responds by turning to God, showing His great compassion even for heathen cities and His ability to use anyone, even the unwilling, to accomplish His purposes.
This passage from Revelation discusses Jesus' second coming. It states that:
1) Jesus' coming is a reality, as he promises "I am coming quickly" multiple times.
2) While the timing of his return is unknown, he instructs believers to always watch and be ready, since he will come unexpectedly like a thief in the night.
3) Believers should keep Jesus' words and commandments so that they may enter heaven when he returns.
Jesus diagnoses the scribes and Pharisees as hypocrites for focusing on outward appearances and minor legalistic rules while neglecting justice, mercy and faith. He criticizes them for straining out gnats but swallowing camels. Jesus also diagnoses his disciples as having little faith when they are afraid during a storm and unable to heal a boy with epilepsy. In contrast, Jesus praises the great faith of a Roman centurion and a woman with a blood disease who were healed based on their faith.
This document discusses Jesus' identity as revealed in the Bible. It provides several quotes from the gospels where Jesus refers to himself as "the bread of life", "the light of the world", and others. It then quotes passages where Peter and others acknowledge Jesus as "the Christ, the Son of the living God." Further quotes emphasize that Jesus is the source of salvation, peace, and hope of resurrection. The overall message is that Jesus reveals himself through scripture as the Christ and savior of mankind.
Human Trafficking Facts and Stats document summarizes that approximately 3,287 people are trafficked into slavery every day, with most being children sold repeatedly for sex. This hidden problem occurs worldwide, including within the United States. The document notes that due to sin, humanity is subject to hardship, corruption, and ultimate death, but promises future redemption and restoration.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

3. Matthew 7:13,14
13 “Enter by the narrow
gate; for wide is the gate
and broad is the way that
leads to destruction, and
there are many who go in
by it. 14 Because narrow is
the gate and difficult is the
way which leads to life, and
there are few who find it.
5. Matthew 5:20
For I say to you, that
unless your
righteousness exceeds
the righteousness of the
scribes and Pharisees,
you will by no means
enter the kingdom of
heaven.
6. Matthew 7:21
Not everyone who
says to Me, ‘Lord,
Lord,’ shall enter the
kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the
will of My Father in
heaven.
7. Matthew 18:1-3
1 At that time the
disciples came to Jesus,
saying, “Who then is
greatest in the kingdom
of heaven?”
2 Then Jesus called a
little child to Him, set him
in the midst of them,
8. Matthew 18:1-3
3 and said, “Assuredly,
I say to you, unless
you are converted and
become as little
children, you will by
no means enter the
kingdom of heaven.

16 Now behold, one
came and said to Him,
“Good Teacher, what
good thing shall I do
that I may have eternal
life?”
11. Matthew 19:16,17
17 So He said to him,
“Why do you call Me
good? No one is good
but One, that is, God.
But if you want to
enter into life, keep
the commandments.”
12. Matthew 18:8,9
8 “If your hand or foot
causes you to sin, cut it
off and cast it from you. It
is better for you to enter
into life lame or maimed,
rather than having two
hands or two feet, to be
cast into the everlasting
fire.
13. Matthew 18:8,9
9 And if your eye causes
you to sin, pluck it out
and cast it from you. It is
better for you to enter
into life with one eye,
rather than having two
eyes, to be cast into hell
fire.

were faithful over a few
things, I will make you
ruler over many things.
Enter into the joy of your
lord.’
16. 1Thessalonians 2:19

18. Hebrews 3:18,19
18 And to whom did He
swear that they would
not enter His rest,
but to those who did
not obey? 19 So we
see that they could
not enter in because
of unbelief.
19. Hebrews 4:1
Therefore, since a
promise remains of
entering His rest, let
us fear lest any of you
seem to have come
short of it.
20. Hebrews 4:3
3 For we who have
believed do enter that
rest, as He has said: “So I
swore in My wrath, ‘they
shall not enter My rest,’”
although the works were
finished from the
foundation of the world.
21. Hebrews 4:10,11
10 For he who has
entered His rest has
himself also ceased
from his works as God
did from His.
22. Hebrews 4:10,11
11 Let us therefore be
diligent to enter that
rest, lest anyone fall
