Often times we wonder why our lives have taken so many unexpected twists and turns. If God is so good and cares for us so much, why does it seem like failures and disappointments tend to characterize our lives? As soon as the Israelites were set free from 400 years of captivity, they were thrown a curve ball. This message helps us understand why.
Looking into the story of Abraham and Isaac. Prophetical pointing to Messiah. The sevenfold blessing of Abraham available to the gentile believers, What the blood f the Lamb does for us as believers.
What legacy, what lasting message do you want to pass on? Farewell addresses are enduring - George Washington's to the nation, General MacArthur's at West Point or before Congress, and in the Bible, Jacob's farewell blessings to his sons (Gen. 49), the apostle Paul's address to the Ephesian elders (Acts 20) and our Lord's farewell to His disciples (Jn. 13-17). This presentation is a study of Joshua's final farewell, at the age of 110, to a people he has lead and loved for more than 75 years. His final words are a call to commitment and covenant to the Lord God of Israel.
After the leper is declared clean by the priest, he is now able to enter the camp and into his tent, but first, the marking with the blood and the anointing upon the blood takes place.

Joshua 1:1-9. Ten Keys To Success.
A. LISTEN TO GOD
B. DO AS GOD SAYS (
C. REALIZE WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU
D. RECOGNIZE THAT GOD IS WITH YOU
E. TRUST GOD
F. BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS
G. BE TOTALLY COMMITTED
H. KEEP GOD'S WORD IN YOUR HEART
I. MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD
J. DO NOT FEAR
Whether conservative, liberal, progressive, et.al, churches today seem to be missing something. Their focus is on rules or new programs or the latest "feel good draw big crowds" gimmick. What we are missing is Jesus. Everything is about Jesus!
What challenge did the nation of Israel encounter in Joshua 1:1? If you were Joshua how would you have felt? Why do you think God told him, “be strong and of good courage”? How does our definition of success influence or affect our lives? How would you define success? How does the world view success? How did the Lord use the word “success” in Joshua 1:6-9? Name 3 examples of those who are successful in the Bible and 3 who were not. What made the difference in their lives? Name the 3 commands God gave to Joshua in verses 6-9. Which command did he repeat? How many times? Why? Why does it take courage to obey the word of God? These and other questions are addressed in this study in Joshua 1.
A Journey exploring few of the living signs and prophecies in the Old and New testament that assures the authenticity of the final revelation "Quraan".
We're all searching for God, but some people are searching for the god of their own making. In the life of Moses, the Israelites wanted a God to take away their pain while Pharaoh wanted a God to produce prosperity. Neither wanted God for himself.

Slide 2: Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness, defined as the conscious, non-judgmental observation of the present moment, has deep roots in Buddhist meditation practice but has gained significant popularity in the Western world in recent years. In today's society, filled with distractions and constant stimuli, mindfulness offers a valuable tool for regaining inner peace and reconnecting with our true selves. By cultivating mindfulness, we can develop a heightened awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, leading to a greater sense of clarity and presence in our daily lives.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
1. “WHICH THINGS ARE AN
ALLEGORY” – MOSES AND
JOSHUA
Laindon, 3rd May 2017
2. Moses and Joshua – Common Attributes
• They were both leaders of Israel
• They were both faithful men and were guided by the
Almighty
• They both had courage

3. Moses and Joshua – Distinctions
• Moses was a reluctant spokesman/leader – Exodus 4.10-17
• And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither
heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow
of speech, and of a slow tongue. 11 And the Lord said unto him, Who
hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the
seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord? 12 Now therefore go, and I
will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say. 13 And he
said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt
send. 14 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and
he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak
well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he
seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart. 15 And thou shalt speak unto
him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with
his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do. 16 And he shall be thy
spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee
instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God. 17 And
thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.
4. Moses and Joshua – Distinctions
• No evidence that Joshua was a reluctant leader –
Numbers 27.15-19
• 15 And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying, 16 Let the
LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the
congregation, 17 which may go out before them, and which
may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and
which may bring them in; that the congregation of the
LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
• 18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the
son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine
hand upon him; 19 and set him before Eleazar the priest,
and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in
their sight.
5. Moses and the Law
• Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto
Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that
faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
(Galatians 3.24-25)
6. Moses and the Law
• “…a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the
faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus
Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and
not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law
shall no flesh be justified.” (Galatians 2.16)
7. Jesus and the Law
• And he said unto them, These are the words which I
spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things
must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses,
and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
(Luke 24.44)
8. Jesus and the Law
• Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that
through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of
sins: 39 and by him all that believe are justified from all
things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of
Moses. (Acts 13.38-39)
9. Joshua’s Actions
• There was not a word of all that Moses commanded,
which Joshua read not before all the congregation of
Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the
strangers that were conversant among them. (Joshua
8.35)
10. Joshua’s Actions
• As the Lord commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses
command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing
undone of all that the Lord commanded Moses. (Joshua
11.15)
11. A Period of Faithfulness
• And Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all
the days of the elders that overlived Joshua, and which
had known all the works of the Lord, that he had done for
Israel. (Joshua 24.31)
12. Moses as a type of Jesus
• 15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet
from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto
him ye shall hearken; 16 according to all that thou
desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the
assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the
Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more,
that I die not. 17 And the Lord said unto me, They have
well spoken that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise
them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto
thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall
speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it
shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto
my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require
it of him. (Deuteronomy 18.15-19)
13. Moses as a type of Jesus
• By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months
of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child;
and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.
24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused
to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; 25 choosing
rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to
enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 esteeming the
reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in
Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the
reward. 27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath
of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
(Hebrews 11.23-27)
14. Jesus the non-combatant
• My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this
world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be
delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from
hence. (John 18.36)
15. Moses as a type of Jesus
• And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the
mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over
against Jericho. And the Lord shewed him all the land of
Gilead, unto Dan, 2 and all Naphtali, and the land of
Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto
the utmost sea, 3 and the south, and the plain of the
valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar. 4 And
the Lord said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto
Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it
unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine
eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. (Deuteronomy
34.1-4)
16. Moses as a type of Jesus
• Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men
which were upon the face of the earth. (Numbers 12.3)
• Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek
and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
(Matthew 11.29)
