The document outlines the schedule and themes of a live simulcast event. It includes:
- A schedule of worship, sessions, and breaks from 12:30pm to 4:30pm
- Discussion of six "mighty makers" which are acts of audacity including making God the supreme romance, living in truth-filled tension, praying for the Holy Spirit, forgiving and living forgiven, holding to hope in suffering, and walking in humility.
The document provides biblical passages supporting each theme and exhorts attendees to "go and live audaciously" after the event closes.
This document contains slides from a presentation or sermon on Psalms 30-31. The presentation discusses how God turns mourning into joy and dancing. While trouble may come and enemies conspire against us, God is our strength and protector who saves those who hope in him. Weeping and mourning may last through the night, but God brings joy in the morning for those who trust in his mercy and salvation.
Jesus was crucified according to prophecies from the Old Testament. He uttered seven statements on the cross, including "I thirst" and "It is finished." When he said "I thirst," he was thirsting for God, not earthly things which can never satisfy. His final words, "Into your hands I commit my spirit," showed his trust in God the Father. The crucifixion and resurrection demonstrate that we can face trials by trusting in God's guidance, provision, and that he will ultimately bring restoration.
Moses encounters God at Mount Sinai in a burning bush. God tells Moses he has seen the oppression of the Israelites in Egypt and sends Moses to lead them out of Egypt. However, Moses doubts that the Israelites will believe he was sent by God. God then transforms Moses' staff into a snake and back again, telling Moses to use this sign to prove God has appeared to him. God reassures Moses he will be with him.
1. The document discusses three key points:
- Care in the midst of chaos, referencing Jesus raising a 12-year old girl from the dead and not being deterred from helping even when told the girl had died.
- Compassion in the midst of catastrophe, referencing Jesus having compassion on a widow who had lost her only son and raising the son from the dead.
- Confrontation in the midst of crisis, referencing Jesus' anger and weeping at the death of his friend Lazarus before calling him out of the tomb.
This document discusses different types of suffering and affliction mentioned in the Bible. It begins by providing context that Paul suffered as a prisoner for preaching the gospel. It then lists 14 different kinds of suffering described in the Bible, providing brief biblical references for each. The main points made are that 1) suffering is a real part of life for God's people according to the Bible, 2) Jesus suffered most of all yet will ultimately end all suffering, and 3) Paul wants to teach that we are afflicted for others' good, for our own growth, and for God's glory.
The document discusses how God provides help and protection. It notes that help comes from God, who created heaven and earth, and that God will not allow harm and will watch over and protect at all times, day and night. It also discusses how Paul pleaded three times for a "thorn in the flesh" to be removed, and how God said His grace is sufficient. Paul then took pleasure in weaknesses, as the power of Christ could rest upon him when he was weak.
This document discusses the strength and power that comes from the Holy Spirit. It notes that Jesus told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit before going out into the world. The Holy Spirit gives believers power to be witnesses for Christ. While humans are proud of their own strength, it is nothing compared to the strength from God and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit continues to empower believers and breathe new life into worship and the church.

The document discusses comparisons between the prophets Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them). It notes that while Moses and Jesus were married with children, Muhammad was not married. It contrasts their encounters with enemies, the writing down of their revelations, and the acceptance of their leadership by their people. The document also discusses how Muhammad conveyed messages in the Quran to believe in Jesus and Mary. It provides hadith where Muhammad said he was the nearest to Jesus and called himself a slave of God, urging not to exaggerate in praising him as Christians did with Jesus.

This second sermon in the Storm Proof Lives series was preached by Ryan Shannon. In it, Ryan explores Satan's 3 temptations of Jesus in Matthew 4. In the text the devil seeks to entice Jesus by appealing to the lust of the flesh, the pride of life and the lust of the eyes. The sermon concludes with three practical applications on how to overcome temptations, gleaned from Jesus' personal example.
The document lists various symbols and then discusses the events of Holy Week leading up to Jesus' crucifixion on Good Friday, including his last supper, betrayal, trials, and crucifixion, noting that 29 Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled that day. It emphasizes that "because He died," fallen man can now return to God through repentance, reconciliation, and restoration, and that believers now live for Christ and have received the ministry and message of reconciliation as his ambassadors.
Jesus told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit would give them power to be witnesses for Christ in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the entire world. The document discusses how the Holy Spirit gives believers power to share the gospel boldly, power when they are weak, and power to have hope and experience the fullness of God, enabling them to do what would otherwise be impossible.
How great would it have been to sit at the feet and hear Jesus teach! We can't hear is actual voice but we can read His teachings and apply them! Jesus taught that He was the Son of God and that He was salvation from sins!
The document outlines an agenda for a session on praying with authority. It discusses listening as the path to healing, whether it is God's will to heal, the circle of belief, and how to pray with authority. It provides several Bible verses about having faith and believing, asking God for things, and Jesus and disciples demonstrating authority over circumstances and healing others. The document encourages participants to apply this authority by praying and speaking to challenges they face.
The document discusses God's provision for his people in the wilderness. It describes how the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron for bringing them into the desert to starve. God promised to rain down bread from heaven each day for them to gather enough food. The principles of God's provision are that it is a gift that may require participation and not come with prior explanation, and begins when people seek God without complaining and obey his instructions. God's provision is portioned perfectly for his people and intended to demonstrate that he is the Lord who cares for their needs.
Lesson 11 of 26 in a series of New Testament Vistas. This sermon on the Holy Spirit comes from John 13-16. It was presented March 4, 2012, at Palm Desert Church of Christ, by Dale Wells
This document is an overview of Revelation 1:1-8 from the Bible. It introduces Revelation as a revelation from God given to Jesus Christ to show his servants what must happen soon. It was sent through an angel to John, who testified to everything he saw in God's word and the testimony of Jesus Christ. It describes that Jesus is the ruler over kings on earth and will return visibly for all to see.
The document outlines seven tactics that Satan uses to tempt mankind:
1. He puts evil thoughts in people's hearts and deceives them into sinning.
2. He tries to prevent people from following God and resisting his influence.
3. He catches away or distorts the message of God's truth to prevent people from benefiting from it.
4. He blinds people to their sinful condition and God's beauty to keep them from believing.
5. He hinders God's servants from spreading the gospel message.
6. He tries to lead people into sin, as he did by tempting Jesus in the wilderness.
7. He aims to get people to doubt God's word
We proclaim our faith in the God who created heaven and earth that is omnipotent in every way. Then we deny the power of God to forgive our sins, to transform our lives or to see us through our darkest times. God is omnipotent - do not deny His power!
19 Oct 2014: "The Divine Favour of God" (Isa 54:6-10)alfc_media
The document discusses God's relationship with Israel from Isaiah 54:6-10. It describes how God was briefly angry with Israel for their unfaithfulness but will have everlasting compassion. God compares his relationship with Israel to his promise to Noah that he would never flood the earth again. Just as Noah found favor with God and was protected in the ark, God offers protection and peace to Israel through his covenant and compassion.
Psalm 23 is a song about God as the shepherd who provides for and protects His flock. It describes how the LORD is the shepherd who leads the psalmist to rest in green pastures and quiet waters, restoring their soul. Even in the darkest valleys, the shepherd's staff and rod bring comfort so that no evil can be feared. God prepares a table and anoints the psalmist's head, so that goodness and mercy will follow all the days of their life as they dwell in God's house forever under the care and protection of their shepherd.
Matthew 3-4 A Tested king - SBC Week 39 Chronological Bible Teaching fall 2019Lazarou Richard
The document provides information about upcoming events at a church, including a Bible study class, fall festival activities, a football game to support a local high school, and small group fellowship meetings. It also includes notes from a sermon on Jesus' baptism and temptation in the wilderness, focusing on the similarities between Jesus confronting Satan and Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
The document summarizes the many ways that Jesus Christ was rejected according to the Bible. It describes how he was rejected prior to his incarnation, at his birth when there was no room for him at the inn, by his own brethren and disciples who did not believe in him. It further explains how he was rejected by Judas who betrayed him, by Peter who denied him three times, and by his apostles who were scattered after he was arrested. The document also mentions his rejection by Israel before Pilate, by the thief on the left crucified alongside him, and by the crowd who mocked him. It concludes by stating the greatest rejection was by God the Father himself when Jesus cried out on the cross asking why
The document discusses the power that comes from the Holy Spirit. It references passages from Acts and Corinthians that describe how Jesus told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit to give them power, and how this power allowed the disciples to boldly share their faith. The document then discusses how the Holy Spirit gives power to have hope, to experience God's fullness, and to be strengthened when weak, as the Spirit intercedes for believers and God's grace is made perfect in weakness.
Peter denied knowing Jesus three times on the night of His arrest, as Jesus had predicted. After Jesus' arrest, Peter followed Him at a distance and denied Him when questioned. Peter wept bitterly in remorse after realizing what he had done. However, God's grace is freely given to all who repent, as Peter did. Though Peter failed greatly, his ministry was not over, as God can restore even the greatest of failures through repentance.
Peter was a fisherman called by Jesus to be one of his disciples. He witnessed many of Jesus' miracles and teachings. Peter was one of the three disciples closest to Jesus, along with James and John. However, Peter also made mistakes, such as denying Jesus three times after his arrest. After Jesus' resurrection and ascension, Peter became a leader among the early Christians and helped spread the gospel message.

1. The 1 Peter document discusses the authorship, audience, context, and organization of the biblical book of 1 Peter.
2. 1 Peter was likely written by the Apostle Peter with assistance from Sylvanus, though some scholars believe it is pseudonymous. It was written to encourage Christians facing persecution in Rome under Nero.
3. The document provides an overview of the content and structure of 1 Peter, including that it opens with praise, discusses suffering Christians will face and Christ's commands, and references the Old Testament.
1) Peter was originally named Simon and was a fisherman from Galilee who was called by Jesus to be one of his disciples.
2) Jesus gave Simon the name Peter, which means "rock", and said he would build his church upon him.
3) Peter was a leader in the early church, preaching at Pentecost and performing many signs and wonders. He helped establish the church and its practices and preached the gospel to both Jews and Gentiles.
4) Peter was eventually martyred in Rome under Nero's persecution of Christians, being crucified upside down as he felt unworthy to die the same way as Jesus.
The narrator is Simon, who was later called Peter. He describes how he first encountered Jesus on the shore of the Sea of Galilee while fishing with his brother Andrew. Their nets were catching few fish due to the rough waves. Jesus told them to follow him to find more fish, and though skeptical at first, they abandoned their nets and boat to follow Jesus. That night, Jesus joined Peter, Andrew, and their families for a meal. He spoke to them about spiritual rebirth and his message. Peter and Andrew pledged to follow Jesus as his disciples.
A Tale of Two Saints : St Peter and St PaulMena Migally
A Coptic Orthodox character study of St Peter and St Paul - to commemorate The Feast of the Apostles (Martyrdom of St Peter and St Paul - 5th Abib – 12th July)
1) The document provides guidance on how to follow Jesus, including leaving everything, being with him, being a servant, and personally studying the Bible.
2) It discusses stories from the Bible where Jesus' disciples left their nets and jobs to follow him, and how Jesus appointed twelve disciples to preach after teaching them.
3) Personal study of scriptures is important, as illustrated by Jesus explaining passages to Cleopas and another disciple on the road to Emmaus, which led their hearts to burn within them.
This document provides an overview of the life and ministry of the apostle Peter through a series of Bible passages and commentary. It describes Peter as someone who was impulsive but also humble, and how Jesus transformed him. Key events summarized include Peter's calling by Jesus, his declaration that Jesus is the Messiah, denying Jesus three times before the rooster crows, being restored and recommissioned by Jesus, his leadership in the early church, and being reproved by Paul for withdrawing from Gentile Christians. The document presents Peter as a complex figure who grew in faith and understanding through both his successes and failures.
“Are We Setting Ourselves Up To Fall?" - [Mark 14:27-31, 53,54, 66-72] - Every sin we commit is a result of our failure to implement the wisdom & strength of God, which He provides us through His word. After Peter is told he will deny Jesus three times, he assures Jesus he would never do that - then he denies Jesus three times. How did Peter get from confessing Christ & defending Christ to denying Christ?- - 11/2/2014
Simon Peter denied knowing Jesus three times before the rooster crowed, just as Jesus had predicted. After his denials, Peter wept bitterly upon remembering Jesus' words. Later, Jesus tested Peter's love for him three times by asking if he loved him, and instructing Peter to feed his sheep, demonstrating Peter's conversion from his earlier failures. Peter went on to become a leader among the apostles and ultimately gave his life for Jesus.

2. The document outlines keys to becoming a true leader, including having the right experiences and character qualities, which Peter developed through his failures and redemption.
3. Facing failure involves acknowledging it, accepting forgiveness, learning from mistakes, and getting back up instead of wallowing in self-pity. Jesus later reinstated Peter, who went on to preach boldly and was martyred for his faith.

Luke provides a concise summary of key events from Jesus' infancy according to his gospel:
1) John the Baptist's and Jesus' births were foretold, with Jesus' divine origin emphasized;
2) Jesus was born in Bethlehem and his birth was announced to shepherds;
3) Jesus was presented at the Temple where he was recognized by Simeon and Anna.
Have you ever been truly alone? Maybe you are surrounded by people but you still feel all alone. Imagine how Jesus felt all through life. He was alone in the wilderness, in the garden, during His trial and on the cross. But Christianity wasn't meant to be lived alone!
Aug 2, 2015-Sunday Message- STRONG PRAYER LIFE MAKES YOU READY FOR THE "END"Catherine Lirio
The document discusses the importance of prayer in the Christian Life Community Church (CLHCC) through their various prayer meetings and activities like the Daniel Prayer three times a day and the daily Dawnwatch. It emphasizes that one must have a very strong relationship with God that is closer than any human relationship as nothing and no one is forever except God. When human relationships fail or end, one must remain happy and strong through their relationship with God. It warns about the end times and being deceived by false prophets, and the need to stand firm in one's faith until the end.
How can weakness be a strength? It can when God uses our weakness to show His strength to us and to the world. We have to be willing to show others that we are weak, sinful and imperfect. When we do, God can use us to lead others to Him.
1) Jesus discusses signs of the end times and his second coming in response to the disciples' questions. He describes wars, famines, earthquakes and persecution as the beginning of birth pains.
2) Jesus compares the days before his return to the days of Noah, when people were unconcerned until the flood came suddenly. He emphasizes the importance of being prepared and alert.
3) The lesson concludes by encouraging believers to faithfully carry out their mission of witnessing until Christ's return, which could happen at any time without warning signs. Believers should always be ready through righteous living.
This document discusses the persecution and suffering of Christians throughout history. It provides examples from the Bible of Jesus and the apostles suffering and being martyred for their faith. It encourages Christians to be prepared to face persecution and to remain steadfast in their faith even when facing threats, imprisonment, or death. The document aims to strengthen believers' resolve by reminding them that the suffering is temporary but eternal glory awaits those who remain faithful to Christ.
The High Scot of Discipleship, on Mark 8:31 - 9:1, is part of the Marked as Disciples sermon series, and was originally preached Maky 15, 2016 at Crosspoint Bible Church in Omaha NE.
The document discusses several key events and festivals in Jerusalem during the time of Jesus:
1) Three annual Jewish festivals were celebrated in Jerusalem as commanded in the Torah - the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the half-shekel tax paid by all Jews to support the Temple, and offerings of doves that Jesus overturned the tables of money changers for in the Temple courts.
2) The trial and crucifixion of Jesus are described, though the account of his trial before the Sanhedrin is considered problematic and likely meant to have the Romans execute him rather than a true Jewish trial.
3) Jesus was crucified as was the common Roman punishment, and his final words on the

1. The document discusses the end times events of the tribulation, second coming of Christ, and rapture.
2. It argues that many Christians are confused about the order and nature of these events due to false teachings such as dispensationalism and a secret pre-tribulation rapture.
3. The biblical evidence presented suggests the events will occur as a visible, audible, and climactic second coming of Christ followed by the rapture and resurrection of believers, not as a secret rapture before a 7-year tribulation.
The document provides information about a Passover Seder, including its 15 parts and 4 cups. It discusses Jesus' last Passover with his disciples before his betrayal and arrest, noting he took bread and wine and said it was his body and blood. It also describes Jesus praying in Gethsemane about drinking "this cup", and being sorrowful until his will aligned with God's will.
20121118 the end series part 2 (ps. timothy loh)eaglepointcf
The document discusses different perspectives on the end times - superstitious, scientific, and scriptural. It then focuses on what the Bible says about the second coming of Christ. Key points include that the timing is unknown, he will return personally and visibly, and it will be sudden. The reasons given are to judge the wicked and complete salvation. Signs before the return include increased sin, apostasy, the Antichrist, tribulation, and the battle of Armageddon. Believers are urged to stay spiritually alert, active in church, overcoming, serving God fervently, and relying on God's grace.
This document discusses the importance of forgiveness and provides a 10-step process for achieving forgiveness. It notes that one of the devil's deadliest schemes is unforgiven wounds, and that Jesus taught forgiveness is necessary for God to forgive our sins. The 10-step process involves facing what happened, letting God in, being clear on the goal of forgiveness, reflecting on biblical passages about forgiveness, making the decision to forgive, letting a friend help, and finding freedom through forgiveness.
This document discusses the importance of forgiveness and provides steps to achieve forgiveness. It notes that unforgiveness can chain the heart and prevent one from being forgiven by God. The Bible teaches that we must forgive others for their sins against us in order to be forgiven by God for our own sins. The document then outlines ten steps to forgiveness, beginning with facing the hurt and letting God take control of it, being clear on the goal of forgiveness which is to honor and submit to God in order to be free and forgiven.
This document discusses the importance of forgiveness and how unforgiven wounds can keep us chained. It notes that our struggle is not against people but against spiritual forces, and one of the devil's most deadly schemes is unforgiven wounds, which can lead to resentment, bitterness, anger and hatred. It provides biblical passages that emphasize the importance of forgiveness for our own freedom and forgiveness by God. The document encourages examining our hearts for any unforgiven hurts that are affecting us and to pray for strength to face them, believe we can forgive through God's power and love, and ask God to lead us to the freedom that forgiveness provides.
Jesus criticized the scribes and Pharisees for not following their own teachings and instead focusing on outward appearances and honors. He delivered seven woes against them for shutting people out of heaven's kingdom, treating converts harshly, ignoring justice while focusing on minor legal points, neglecting inner purity while appearing outwardly clean, and honoring past prophets but being like those who killed them.
The passage from Psalm 34:1-8 describes how the LORD is good and how those who trust in Him will be blessed. It encourages the reader to taste and see for themselves that the LORD is good. God's goodness can be seen in creation, redemption through Jesus Christ, and the rewards of heaven. Those who cry out to the LORD will be heard, saved from troubles, and surrounded by God's protection. Blessed are those who put their trust in the infinitely and eternally good LORD.
The document discusses reasoning together and unity through love. It references scriptures encouraging walking together in humility, gentleness, patience, and bearing with one another in love. Romans 14 is cited as applying to matters where the Bible does not explicitly say to do or not do something - in such cases, people should not judge one another or cause others to stumble. The overall message is that Christians should follow what the Bible teaches, but be unified and accepting of one another.
This document discusses the biblical figures of Noah, Enoch, and their relationship with God. It notes that Noah was a righteous man who walked with God, and that Enoch walked with God for 300 years before being taken by God, having pleased God through his faith. The document suggests that Enoch must have been in agreement with God and had a willingness to conform to God's ways through his faith and trust in God.
This short document discusses the Jewish tradition of Tashlikh, where Jews symbolically cast away their sins on Rosh Hashanah by tossing pieces of bread or pebbles into bodies of running water. While the ritual originally involved literally throwing stones, it now represents casting away wrongs from the past year and starting anew. The document suggests that in a sense, people still throw symbolic stones today through this annual tradition of cleansing oneself before God.
This document discusses conflicting voices and provides guidance on whose voice to listen to. It warns about listening to the voice of passion and instead encourages listening to the voice of conscience. However, the most important voice is staying with revealed truth from Scripture. The document cautions that we should not accept any gospel other than what is revealed in the Bible and has been received by believers.
God calls Jonah to go to Nineveh and preach against their wickedness. However, Jonah flees by ship to Tarshish to avoid the call. God sends a storm that endangers the ship, and the sailors discover through casting lots that Jonah is responsible. Jonah instructs them to throw him overboard, which calms the sea. He goes to Nineveh as instructed and preaches repentance, and amazingly the entire city responds by turning to God, showing His great compassion even for heathen cities and His ability to use anyone, even the unwilling, to accomplish His purposes.
This passage from Revelation discusses Jesus' second coming. It states that:
1) Jesus' coming is a reality, as he promises "I am coming quickly" multiple times.
2) While the timing of his return is unknown, he instructs believers to always watch and be ready, since he will come unexpectedly like a thief in the night.
3) Believers should keep Jesus' words and commandments so that they may enter heaven when he returns.
Jesus diagnoses the scribes and Pharisees as hypocrites for focusing on outward appearances and minor legalistic rules while neglecting justice, mercy and faith. He criticizes them for straining out gnats but swallowing camels. Jesus also diagnoses his disciples as having little faith when they are afraid during a storm and unable to heal a boy with epilepsy. In contrast, Jesus praises the great faith of a Roman centurion and a woman with a blood disease who were healed based on their faith.
This document discusses Jesus' identity as revealed in the Bible. It provides several quotes from the gospels where Jesus refers to himself as "the bread of life", "the light of the world", and others. It then quotes passages where Peter and others acknowledge Jesus as "the Christ, the Son of the living God." Further quotes emphasize that Jesus is the source of salvation, peace, and hope of resurrection. The overall message is that Jesus reveals himself through scripture as the Christ and savior of mankind.
Human Trafficking Facts and Stats document summarizes that approximately 3,287 people are trafficked into slavery every day, with most being children sold repeatedly for sex. This hidden problem occurs worldwide, including within the United States. The document notes that due to sin, humanity is subject to hardship, corruption, and ultimate death, but promises future redemption and restoration.
Do you remember when you made the lifelong commitment to follow Christ? Kelly Campbell takes us back to that time in our lives as he concludes his "Back to our roots" sermon series.
This document discusses the concept of repentance from passages in the Bible. It describes how the people listening to Peter's sermon in Acts 2 were cut to the heart when they realized they had crucified Jesus. Peter told them to repent. The document explains that repentance means turning away from sin and toward God, and that God offers his mercy and salvation through repentance to all people. It encourages readers to undergo an ongoing transformation by renewing their minds according to God's will.

A375 Example Taste the taste of the Lord, the taste of the Lord The taste of...franktsao4
It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

2 Peter 3: Because some scriptures are hard to understand and some will force them to say things God never intended, Peter warns us to take care.

2. Mark 14:66-72
66 Now as Peter was below in the
courtyard, one of the servant girls of the
high priest came. 67 And when she saw
Peter warming himself, she looked at him
and said, “You also were with Jesus of
Nazareth.”
3. Mark 14:66-72
68 But he denied it, saying, “I neither
know nor understand what you are
saying.” And he went out on the porch,
and a rooster crowed.
4. Mark 14:66-72
69 And the servant girl saw him again, and
began to say to those who stood by, “This is
one of them.” 70 But he denied it again.
And a little later those who stood by said to
Peter again, “Surely you are one of them;
for you are a Galilean, and your speech
shows it.”
5. Mark 14:66-72
71 Then he began to curse and swear, “I
do not know this Man of whom you
speak!”
6. Mark 14:66-72
72 A second time the rooster crowed.
Then Peter called to mind the word that
Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster
crows twice, you will deny Me three
times.” And when he thought about it, he
wept.
7. Warming at the Devil’s Fireside
There were some warning signs
• Self-Confidence (Mt. 26:33-35)
8. Matthew 26:33-35
33 Peter answered and said to Him, “Even
if all are made to stumble because of You,
I will never be made to stumble.”
34 Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to
you that this night, before the rooster
crows, you will deny Me three times.”
9. Matthew 26:33-35
35 Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die
with You, I will not deny You!”
And so said all the disciples.
10. “It was not Pilate, nor any of the
Sanhedrin, nor a mob of soldiers, but a
single waiting-maid, who frightened the
self-confident apostle into denying his
Master.” ~ Alfred Plummer

There were some warning signs

12. Matthew 26:57,58
57 And those who had laid hold of Jesus led
Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where
the scribes and the elders were assembled.
58 But Peter followed Him at a distance to the
high priest’s courtyard. And he went in and
sat with the servants to see the end.
13. 1Peter 2:19-22
19 For this is commendable, if because of
conscience toward God one endures
grief, suffering wrongfully.
14. 1Peter 2:19-22
20 For what credit is it if, when you are
beaten for your faults, you take it
patiently? But when you do good and
suffer, if you take it patiently, this is
commendable before God.
15. 1Peter 2:19-22
21 For to this you were called, because
Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an
example, that you should follow His
steps:
22 “Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;
