This document discusses opportunities for cross-border procurement of e-infrastructure services. It summarizes several ongoing procurement activities that are exploring this area, such as the Helix Nebula Science Cloud pre-commercial procurement and a GÉANT tender for infrastructure as a service. The document also discusses a "cloud credits" business model being piloted to support the use of cloud computing for research. It analyzes the opportunities for cross-border procurement and recommends that e-IRG help quantify future e-infrastructure service needs to inform market analysis and procurement approaches. Collective procurement is seen as a way to reduce costs and risks for research organizations.
This document discusses performance measures for bicycle and pedestrian transportation. It outlines goals like mobility, safety, health, economy and environment. Sample metrics are proposed to measure these goals, like the percentage of roads including complete street features or miles of greenways built. Data needs are identified to track these metrics, like project descriptions, enforcement events, and physical inactivity rates from surveys. The document provides an example of how the metrics could be used to prioritize transportation projects based on safety, access to destinations, population density, and other criteria. Outcomes will be evaluated to see if funding is shifted to more bike and ped projects and how the metrics and process can be improved.

Accelerating Investment in Energy Efficiency Steven Fawkes
The document summarizes efforts to accelerate investment in energy efficiency in Europe. It discusses how a lack of standardization has been a major barrier to large-scale energy efficiency financing. The Investor Confidence Project is working to address this by developing standardized energy efficiency protocols for projects in Europe. Widespread adoption of these protocols could help attract more institutional investment by reducing risks and transaction costs. The document also highlights some initiatives to build capacity for energy efficiency projects and programs among local authorities, developers, and financial institutions.

1) The document discusses enterprise architecture as a tool for digital state transformation in Poland, outlining key problems with the current lack of a unified vision and issues with eGovernment services.
2) It proposes using enterprise architecture as a strategic management tool to support digital state development through operationalizing objectives, standardizing models and principles, and linking business, data, software and technical solutions.
3) Examples are provided of how enterprise architecture has been applied in other countries and in Poland, including at the Ministry of Finance and Social Insurance Institution, to bring more coordination, interoperability and improved services.
The document discusses how digital transformation is occurring across industries like infrastructure, construction, and energy. It notes trends shaping capital projects like construction including digital collaboration, BIM, data-driven design, IoT, digital twins, and advanced analytics. The construction industry spends little on IT and has low productivity growth. Adopting digital tools could help cut costs by 13-21% and improve processes like clash detection, RFI handling, and asset management through integrated data and models. BIM adoption is rising but implementing new technologies requires a long-term focus on simplicity, measurement, security, and developing capabilities over time.

Infrastructure Outlook
3. • Value for money
• delivers the desired social and economic impact at the lowest cost
• Extend the life of existing assets
• better maintenance and (partial) rehabilitation to expand service
capacity quickly without major costs
• debottlenecking assets that are difficult to replace e.g. bridges, airports,
metros and transmission grids
• Expand infrastructure capacity in areas of high demand
• anticipate that new assets may be in operation longer than expected
• Ensure new infrastructure is flexible
• conduct a lifecycle analysis
• plan backwards from the end of an asset’s life
• modernisation and upgrade within its expected lifetime
• integration of future digital technologies

8. • Infrastructure financing: tackling a wide investment gap
• Untapped potential: institutional investors, representing 100 trillion USD, but only a fraction – 0.7% - of
current volumes of infrastructure investment in emerging markets
• Contribution to the SDGs: infrastructure cuts across the SDG universe affecting education, health,
climate action, clean water and sanitation – all the way to poverty reduction and gender equality
