The document presents an enhanced Zigbee Tree Routing (EZTR) protocol for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) aimed at improving quality of service (QoS) in data transmission by reducing delay and increasing reliability through multipath routing. EZTR combines proactive and reactive strategies to construct multiple disjoint paths, outperforming existing protocols in metrics like packet delivery ratio and end-to-end delay. Extensive simulations validate its effectiveness for high data rate applications, while future work aims to enhance energy efficiency with power nodes.
