This document outlines the rules and requirements for an English 3 class. It states that respect must come before everything in the classroom. 2. Class Rules In my class we all RESPECT each other! Respect comes before EVERYTHING in my classroom. As you well know we do not talk unless given permission If there is talking I expect “12 inch voices” Pencil sharpening MUST be done BEFORE class begins because it is a distraction to my lesson. Any papers that are written MUST be written in black ink with at least correct spelling since you are required to have a dictionary and thesaurus. Simple and dull words are NOT allowed in any papers written and more exciting words should be used to present all papers more lively. These words can be found in your required thesaurus.

4. Books to read this year! This year we have many books we will be reading. The first book is Mythology by Edith Hamilton which will cover our first two six weeks. Our next book is The Crucible by Arthur Miller which will only take one six weeks THE MIDTERM WILL CONTAIN MOST INFORMATION FROM MYTHOLOGY AND LITTLE INFORMATION FROM THE CRUCIBLE. The second semester will contain selected books that you will choose from! That list will be available September 1, 2011 and the decision making will be November 1, 2011.
