What are examples?
Examples refers to specific facts, ideas, people or things that we can
use to explain or support the points stated in the exposition essay.
They are normally used to prove or testify an essay with weak or not
supportive essay.
There are two types of examples:
• Hypnotical examples
• Logical examples
Examples are specific and helpful in an essay.
Why is it important?
Well, as you know thesis statement and facts are important parts of the
essay, so what does examples do?
It supports facts and statistics with more evidences.
It makes the essay even more persuasive.
The readers will understand better as examples will be able to allow
the audience to step into the shoes of others and think from their
point of view
Examples can reduce the doubts and suspicions of the audiences.
It somehow ends the essay with a clearer and more specific details.
How to make your examples?
• First of all, you have to make the examples relevant to the essay’s topic
statement, relate the example with the essay, so it will not go out of point.
• Second, the examples must not be long and wordy, the essay is not about
the person or item in the example, you do not need to write too much
about the example.
• Thirdly, You should try to have examples that are quite recent or examples
that has an impact on most people, this way the audience will be able to
feel more convinced.
• Lastly, your examples MUST not be made up, it must be logical and
reasonable, so DO NOT add religious, beliefs unless the topic essay is about
it.

• It always dependent on the type of essay your writing, examples are
not everywhere but it Is helpful to use in persuasive essays.
• Scientific essays also uses examples to prove their theories and
hypostasis
• You can also use examples of people as motivation in your essay, to
make the readers know that ‘if he/she can do it, I can do it’
• Also essays with very little facts and statistics can use examples to
boost their essay writing skills.
