Tsetan car for his journey and took Daniel along to escort
him to Darchen.
 The protagonist wanted to go to Mount Kailash to
complete the kora. He hired Tsetan to drive him up to
Mount Kailash. As a farewell gift, Lhamo gave him a
long-sleeved sheepskin coat. He took Daniel as his
companion till Darchen.
 The author had experienced many things there in the
adventure. They had crossed many high mountains for
their destination.
 He also had faced a lot of difficulties on high altitude. He
got ill and suffered from nose-congestion due to the
change in altitude and cold weather.
 He met new culture, people and also in high altitude how
people live their, their life experiences, their houses and
all that.
 It shows us the outcomes of resilience and faith in
oneself. The author had to face many challenges, which
made him develop a negative attitude towards his
journey many times, but he stayed put and was finally
able to find someone as interested in the kora as him.
 Both found common grounds in their motivation towards
the pilgrimage. The author ends his travel account on a
note of positivity. He finds out that thinking positively
does lead to good outcomes in life.
“we’re not afraid to die…if we all be
together
 We are not Afraid to Die Written by Gordan Cook and
Alan East, the story is about a 37 year old businessman
who is the narrator of the story. He has a wife named
Mary and two children, Jonathan, aged 6 and Suzanne,
aged 7.
 He and his wife both dream of a voyage around the
world on their ship ‘Wave walker’ which is a 23 meter
long, 30 ton wooden-hulled, just like that of the famous
Captain James Cook.
 The whole family started sailing from Plymouth,
England on July 1976. The initial phase of the three-year-
long journey was from Africa to Cape Town. It was
pleasant.
 While heading east, along with two newly hired
crewmen, strong waves hit them and their survival
became a question. On the evening of 2nd
January, there
came an ominous silence – with no wind and a big roar,
what sounded like thunder turned out to be a big wave
that wreaked havoc on the ship. The narrator was
wounded in the process, and so was Suzanne. As the ship
was about to capsize, another wave hurled her upright.
The author asked his wife to handle the wheel while he
went to fix the damaged starboard to prevent water from
entering the ship. This problem was accompanied by
other issues like blocked hand pumps and a short circuit
in the electric pump. The narrator and his crew spent the
whole night pumping, steering and working on the radio
to issue Mayday calls. Suzanne’s injury on her head had
worsened.
 As for this story we can say that the author and his
family had faced many problems at the time of their
voyage, by facing huge storms, cracking in there ship,
having severe injuries, less amount of food but at the end
despite of all this problems they felt relieved when they
successfully landed on the island Ile Amsterdam.
WHAT IS TRAVELLING?
 Traveling is the act of moving from one place to
another, typically for leisure, business, or personal
reasons. It often involves visiting different
locations, experiencing new cultures, and exploring
unfamiliar surroundings. Traveling can be done by
various means of transportation such as car, plane,
train, or boat. It provides an opportunity to broaden
one’s perspective, learn about different customs
and traditions, and create lasting memories.
 Traveling encompasses a wide range of activities,
from leisurely vacations to business trips and
educational excursions. It provides an opportunity
to explore new destinations, immerse oneself in
different cultures, and broaden one’s perspective.
Whether it’s relaxing on a beach, hiking in the
mountains, or wandering through historic cities,
travel allows individuals to break away from their
daily routines and gain new experiences.
 Additionally, traveling can facilitate personal
growth, as it challenges individuals to adapt to new
environments and interact with diverse people.
Ultimately, traveling offers a chance to create
lasting memories, learn about the world, and gain a
deeper understanding of oneself and others.
 Culture influences travelers’ destination choices,
behavior, dining preferences, language barriers,
participation in local events, exploration of
religious and historical sites, understanding of
social norms, and appreciation of art and
architecture. Embracing diverse cultural
perspectives enriches the travel experience and
fosters cross-cultural understanding.
Different Types of Traveling
There are various types of traveling, each offering unique
experiences and opportunities for exploration. Here are some
common types of traveling:
 Leisure Travel: This type of travel is primarily for
relaxation, enjoyment, and recreation. It includes
vacations, weekend getaways, and trips to destinations
known for their scenic beauty, cultural attractions, or
recreational activities.
 Educational Travel: Educational travel is centered around
learning and gaining knowledge about specific subjects
or areas of interest. It may include study abroad
programs, language immersion trips, field research, and
visits to educational institutions or historical sites.
 Eco-Tourism: Eco-tourism emphasizes responsible travel
to natural areas with a focus on conservation,
sustainability, and appreciation of the environment. It
often involves activities such as wildlife observation,
nature walks, and visits to protected natural areas.
 Business Travel: Business travel involves trips taken for
professional purposes such as meetings, conferences,
trade shows, and corporate events. It often includes travel
for networking, client meetings, and conducting business
transactions in different locations.
 Solo Travel: Solo travel refers to trips taken by
individuals who prefer to explore destinations
independently. It offers opportunities for personal
growth, self-discovery, and freedom to tailor the travel
experience according to individual preferences.
 Group Travel: Group travel involves traveling with a pre-
arranged group of people, such as family members,
friends, or organized tour groups. It can provide a sense
of community, shared experiences, and the convenience
of organized itineraries and activities.
These different types of traveling cater to diverse interests,
preferences, and motivations, allowing travelers to
customize their experiences based on their desired goals
and aspirations.
How It Gives The Experience of Odds
Traveling is the wonderful and most beautiful thing to
have in life. Traveling broadens our mental capabilities
and understanding of life. The following essay on topic
My Travel Experience via travel to Goa sums up best life
moments of my journey. This essay is very helpful for
children and students in school exams and written tests.
Essay on My Travel Experience | My Joyful Train Travel
Experience to Goa
Traveling bring a unique experience with wonderful
memories to cherish for the rest of life. It exposes one to
different lifestyles, people, and places. It helps us learn
new things and explore the world beyond our
imagination. For me, traveling is an opportunity to relax
and escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
I had always wanted to travel by train but never got a
chance until recently when I went on a vacation to Goa. I
took the train from Mumbai to Goa and it was a
wonderful experience. The journey was very relaxing
and the views were amazing. I saw different types of
landscapes and villages as we passed by. I also got a
chance to meet some interesting people from all walks of
life.
Impact of Traveling on Education
Traveling can have a profound impact on education by
providing unique learning opportunities that extend
beyond the confines of traditional classroom settings.
Here are some ways in which traveling can influence
education:
 Language Acquisition: Immersion in a foreign
language environment while traveling can enhance
language learning by providing authentic
opportunities for students to practice and improve
their language skills. Communicating with native
speakers and navigating real-life situations in a
foreign language can significantly boost linguistic
proficiency.
 Historical and Geographical Context: Visiting
historical sites, landmarks, and geographical
wonders allows students to connect academic
knowledge with tangible, real-world experiences.
Seeing ancient ruins, museums, and natural
wonders firsthand can bring history and geography
lessons to life in a way that textbooks cannot.
 Global Citizenship: Exposure to different societies
and global issues during travel can cultivate a sense
of global citizenship among students. Witnessing
social, economic, and environmental challenges in
other parts of the world can inspire students to
become more socially aware and engaged global
citizens.
 Experiential Learning: Traveling provides
opportunities for experiential learning, allowing
students to engage in hands-on experiences that
complement classroom instruction. Whether it’s
participating in cultural workshops, volunteering in
local communities, or conducting field research,
these experiences can deepen students’
understanding of various subjects.
 Interdisciplinary Connections: Traveling often
involves interdisciplinary connections, allowing
students to integrate knowledge from various
academic disciplines such as history, geography,
anthropology, sociology, and environmental
studies. This interdisciplinary approach can enrich
students’ educational experiences by demonstrating
the interconnectedness of different fields of study.
Incorporating travel experiences into education can
enhance students’ academic learning, foster cultural
competence, and nurture a broader perspective on the
world. By integrating travel into educational programs,
schools and educators can provide students with
valuable opportunities for holistic learning and personal
development.
Conclusion
In conclusion, traveling encompasses a wide range of
experiences and opportunities, each offering unique
ways to explore the world, connect with different
cultures, and create lasting memories. Whether it’s for
leisure, adventure, cultural immersion, education, or
personal growth, traveling allows individuals to expand
their horizons, gain new perspectives, and create
meaningful connections with people and places around
the globe. Regardless of the type of travel one chooses,
the journey itself can be a transformative and enriching
experience, providing valuable insights, personal
growth, and a deeper appreciation for the diversity and
beauty of the world we live in. Ultimately, traveling
opens doors to new adventures, broadens our
understanding of the world, and creates lasting memories
that can enrich our lives in countless ways.
