This document provides an overview of the topics, readings, and writing assignments for Unit 3 of the English 102 Online course from July 8-21, 2019. The unit focuses on exploratory research essays and incorporates sources into writing. In Week 5, students will learn about outlining, complete a discussion board post and response, submit a research essay outline, and write a rough draft. In Week 6, students will learn about introductions, conclusions, editing, and MLA citations. They will revise their research essay introduction, complete another discussion board post and response, and submit the final draft of their exploratory research essay.
