This document provides an overview of the topics, readings, and writing assignments for Unit 1 of an online English 102 course on personal narrative writing. The unit is divided into two weeks. Week 1 introduces the unit and discusses writing and responding to discussion board posts. Readings include essays on place and identity. Assignments include an introductory post, quiz, and drafting a topic for a personal narrative essay. Week 2 focuses on editing, revision of narrative writing. Readings include additional personal essays. Assignments consist of submitting a rough draft, quiz, additional discussion posts and responses, and submitting a final draft of the personal narrative essay.
