Promoting Employee Health
We understand today’s employers are
concerned about the consequences of
work-related stress and actively seek to
promote health and wellbeing in their
workforce.
For some, work-related stress is the
simple reality of their occupation, such
as jobs in health care or social services.
For others, work-related stress has an
identifiable underlying cause, such as
organisational change.
In addition, life events, such as divorce
or the loss of a loved one, can have an
adverse effect on an employee’s overall
wellbeing, causing a decline in work
performance and satisfaction.
How We Can Help Employees
Our EAP Counselling Programme offers
counselling and supervision services
that actively support employers’ efforts
to promote the health and wellbeing of
their workforce, providing the additional
support that employees sometimes need
to regain performance levels and achieve
their potential.
One-to-one counselling
Weekly sessions with a dedicated
counsellor over a short period (usually
6-8 weeks) addressing issues that may
be causing distress and consequently
affecting performance.
External supervision
This offers organisations a chance to
extend their support to staff by providing
recurrent meetings with an impartial
professional counsellor, offering employees
a chance to offload; space and time to
reflect: an opportunity to consider causes
of stress at work and a chance to look
forward.
Support for Employers
We can help employers introduce an EAP
service by carrying out presentations
to employees to familiarise them with
the EAP service and thereby encourage
uptake. We are able to create individual
packages suitable to the needs of the
employer.
