This presentation provides an update on transportation projects along the Richmond Highway corridor in Fairfax County, Virginia, including: 1) A comprehensive plan amendment to guide development along the corridor through 2040. 2) The Richmond Highway Corridor Improvements project, which will widen the highway to six lanes between Mount Vernon Memorial Highway and Napper Road. 3) A planned bus rapid transit system between Huntington Metro Station and Fort Belvoir in two phases, with nine potential stations. The projects aim to improve mobility, safety, and development along the corridor through coordinated land use and transportation improvements including bus rapid transit in a dedicated median lane. Consultant (PMC)

from both Lee and Mount Vernon Districts
• BRT kick off meetings anticipated for April 2018
