became its own independent state. To this very day, the old style traditions and values of Samoaare
still practiced on a daily basis. Whether it be practicing religion, or relying on agriculture as one

The island of Samoa, also known as the Treasured Islands or the Independent State of Samoa is
located between the island of Hawaii and New Zealand in the Polynesian area of the South
Pacific. Samoan ancestors left their first mark on the island around 3,000 years ago. Researchers
and scientists are still finding small traces of old pottery and belongings left behind. Samoans
lived in villages, mainly in the coastal regions which included a vast and open area along with
several residencies and huts used as meeting areas or cooking rooms. They later on evolved into

Swot Analysis Of Jcpenney
Company Profile
JC Penney is an American department store chain with 1,095 locations throughout the United
States. In the latter half of the 20th century, shopping malls became very popular and most of the
company s stores were situated in the downtown areas, they followed the trend of developing more
stores in the shopping malls to attract customers and increase the financial profitability of the
company. Conversely, JC Penney had freestanding stores, and was able to get consumer traffic
which helped the company earn a profit and increase its market share.
From its inception in 1902, the company grew enormously, it added different businesses, made
them successful, and sold them to focus more on the retail aspect of the business. As an example, in
2001, its direct marketing insurance unit was sold to Dutch Insurance for 1.3 Billion dollars.
In June of 2011, JC Penney announced that Ron Johnson was selected to be the next CEO of the
company. In his 17 months of leadership at JC Penney, the company performed very poorly. Its
market share declined, profits decreased, and the company laid off hundreds of employees and
closed numerous stores throughout the United States. Ron Johnson changed the corporate culture
and his strategies proved to be detrimental.

The Role Of Religion In Ancient Egypt
This paper is going to focus on the society of the Egyptians and how religion played a role in
their lives. Ancient Egypt has become the first that has developed religion along the Nile River
which was considered the most abundant land with fertile soil. Fertile soil was seen along the
banks of the NileRiver producing abundant food and crops for the people to sustain their lives.
People of ancient Egyptworked hard to build homes and villages by mud bricks, everyone lived in
houses and homes made of mud bricks even Pharaohs did so as well. This essay will focus on
books concerning with Egyptian religion and will be using the book The Pyramids of Ancient Egypt
written by Aiden Dodson. Furthermore, the essay will be centered on the Egyptian society
concerning with religion. Religion in this essay has to deal with Pharaohs, labor, people, and
mythology. The Egyptian society involves growing their own food and trading it with other goods
that they could not find to sustain their life. The same mud bricks that people had built were also

Inside the pyramids, they were decorated in stars and constellations. Temples were built to house
the cult statues of gods. Egypt was main governed by Pharaohs, thus they had authority to use
their commands which were commanded by Gods. For the society that had been impacted
through religion it played an important role such as carrying out certain rituals so that people
would be able to carry them out in temples in times of worshipping. For priests, they would
respond to gods and listen to what they wanted to do. Priests were seen as a replacement for
Pharaohs that was why they would listen to what they had to say. Their beliefs were the main focus
of their society that they had built their lives on. Throughout this essay it is clear that religion is a

John Rain Quotes
John Rain is the main character in the John Rain series of novels authored by Barry Eisler. The
first novel that featured the series s titular character was Rain Fall that was published in 2003 and
later renamed A Clean Kill in Tokyo. The series of books may be classified as espionage novels.
John Rain has had years of training when he served in the CIA, the Special Forces and as an
assassin for hire. He displays a strongly rooted sense of paranoia, a drive to tie up loose ends
(typically through killing his victims), and an inability to trust anyone.
Rain had served in the Vietnam War as a member of the Special Forces before he was later
recruited by the CIA. The series of novels begins after he has already quit the CIA and is now

Gentrification Advantages And Disadvantages
was a limitation in place. The development of the new housing complexes brought about the
investment in amenities. These, however, were pricey and most of the locals were not able to
afford. Gentrification has its benefits to the families that are categorized as low income earners.
First, through the development of infrastructure and opening up of newer shops and outlets, jobs
are created. This thus reduces unemployment and also makes these families improve on their
livelihood through income earned from the jobs they do in these new outlets. Secondly, with
gentrification, better amenities are provided. Schools and also health services are improved. Such

The fees skyrocket and most of these families cannot afford it. They thus end up having children
with low levels of education. Also, due to the cultural diversity, the minority poorer people are
often criminalized thus making life harder for them (Fainstein, 2014) Gentrification improves the
social factors that determine health. Since there was the creation of newer hospitals and facilities,
the communities in Williamsburg benefited from better healthcare. On top of that improved
security and better housing structures made health better in Williamsburg. Since levels of
education are also increased by gentrification, health got a major boost. These show that health,
in general, was improved by gentrification. However, access for the more impoverished families
was still an issue due to the high charges. When the values of property rise, the original residents
are affected both positively and negatively. However, they are affected more negatively as they
are forced to vacate their homes as they can no longer afford the rent. This leads to displacement of
more impoverished families. On top of that, they are forced to spend a lot on rent alone in case they
stay. This might affect their finances, and they could end up bankrupt. Their health may deteriorate
too because of depression as well as higher charges in the hospital. However, they may get
advantages such as improved housing conditions and better security and environment.

Rebecca Curtis Article Summary
Summary of Article: In the article Speaking Freely: My Experiences in Individual
Psychotherapies, Group Therapies, and Growth Groups, Rebecca Curtis discusses her experiences
with multiple forms of therapy. First Curtis reviews her experiences with group therapies, then
psychotherapy, followed by two psychoanalysis experiences. Curtis also discusses the value of
each of her experiences as well as the difficulties she had with certain experiences.
Most Important Idea(s): There are three types of experiences that Curtis mentions in her article.
First is her experiences with training groups and therapy groups. Second is her experience with
psychotherapy. Finally Curtis mentions two of her experiences with psychoanalysis. However, out

Curtis second analyst was different from her first. According to Curtis, competition with this analyst
was nonexistent. Annoyances that occurred because of the first analyst did not occur with the
second analyst. The second analyst did not conform to one theory causing Curtis to feel more
connected with this analyst. Curtis also felt that this analyst did not overuse the theory of
transference (Curtis, 2011). Curtis states that during this experience, I could speak freely but
learned to think more carefully about the consequences in advance, at least about some of them
some of the time (Curtis, p. 802).
Value of Article: I find this article to be enlightening about how different types of therapies affect
the same individual. Curtis had experience with two types of group therapies before she interned,
however she still learned from the group therapy she observed during her internship. While
psychotherapy did not resonate with Curtis, psychoanalysis worked better for her. Curtis depicts
two encounters with psychoanalysis that had two drastically different methods and results. The
value of this article is that it shows individuals that even though one method of therapy did not work

Defending Sir Isaac Newton
I m going to be defending my client Sir Isaac Newton. Sir Isaac Newton was born in England of
1463 on January 4. He was the only son of a local farmer also named Isaac Newton who died
three months before Sir Isaac Newton was born. When Isaac Newton got older he started to study
the study of gravity and experiment of how things fall how we get up and much more. Sir Isaac
Newtonmade some pretty good discoveries And he was also very intelligent that is how he made
them. The first thing that he made was a telescope and he studied it but not only that he also
studied the solar system and found out how the planets have faces on them. When Isaac Newton
got a little bit older he moved to britain. He also made one of the most important books in the
history of science. The telescope he discovered wasn t an ordinary telescope it was a reflecting
telescope. He also mad the three laws of motion which is one of the most important things to do

daily stuff that they need to do. He also was very important to the world because if people didn t
know the three laws of motion today we basically wouldn t be able to do science because that is
how important he was he mad basically science because he was so smart. The church really
doubted Isaac Newton because of his work. The church hated Isaac Newton because Isaac Newton
thought that believing in god is idolatry and he thought that worshiping him is the worst thing to
do. So the church hated him for a long time. This is how I defended my client Sir Isaac Newton.

Technology and Privacy
INTRODUZIONE In the last twenty years, technology has been changing deeply our society:
habits, style of life, and menagement of time are completely different. The globalization of the
markets and information, the massive diffusion of mobiles and internet, have created many
advantages in our workplaces, in our houses, in our cities but on the other hand they have
reduced the liberty and the privacy of the individual person and their own goods. So the question
are: Is this the price to pay for the development of technology in our society? Are we ready to
reduce our private sphere in the name of the modernity and the globalization? Nowdays, we are

The Anatomy Of The Muscle System
Knowing the anatomy of the muscle system can help many people when understanding different
parts of the field they study. Aspiring to be a cosmetologist, it is important for me to understand
the muscle system in the way that certain muscles can stimulate certain reactions of the human
body. Services such as facials and scalp massages involve the movement of the face, neck, back,
head, arms, and hands. By knowing the way the muscular system is organized to better
accommodate a client, a better and more successful cosmetologist can be formed. Also, by being
aware of the best way to move and take care of my own muscles, I can avoid long term pain,
fatigue, and other problems common to cosmetologists. Myology, the study of the nature,... Show

Next, the non striated muscles are the exact opposite of striated muscles. These muscles are also
known as smooth muscles and they function automatically without conscious will. They are
involuntary. Non Striated muscles are found in the internal organs of the body. An example of
where you can find a non striated muscle would be in the digestive or respiratory system. Lastly, the
cardiac muscle is found in only one part of the body. The cardiac muscle contains the heartand is
involuntary thankfully. If the heart was a voluntary muscle and you so happened forgot to make it
pump blood, you would be doomed as a person. There are three parts of a muscle. The origin of
the muscle is the part of the muscle that does not move and is attached closest to the skeleton. In
the middle of the muscle, there is a part known as the belly. Lastly, the part of the muscle that
moves and is farthest from the skeleton is the insertion. Connected to Cosmetology, when giving
massages, pressure from the massage is usually directed from the insertion in to the origin. When
giving massages, it is all about stimulation of the muscles of the body. Muscular tissue can be
stimulated by massages, electrical therapy current, infrared light, dry heat, moist heat, nerve
impulses, and certain chemicals. All of these things are used one way or another during services
performed by Cosmetologists. Mainly, Cosmetologists focus on the muscles

Anarchist Communism Like Me Analysis
To be quite honest, I don t have much understanding of the election but knowing Hilary Clinton and
Donald Trump are running for president. Although from hearing and from reading articles and
what they say on TV I believe I relate more to Hillary. In relation to my political compass, I am an
Anarchist Communism, which is the lower left corner of the quadrant and is described as someone
with more commitment to each other. This is similar to Hillary s political views than Donald
Trump s, as Hillary believed which I quote when unions are strong, families are strong and
America is strong , which I agree with 100% as we need each other. As a society we need each

Free Motifs In The Film Mr. Orange
A free motif found in this film, while subtle, is the idea of detachment. The motifs purpose is to
display how each character is somehow disconnected from one another, and while they are a part
of a team they are also individuals. Throughout the film we discover that each member of the heist
team, in one form or another, expresses this theme. For example, Mr. Orange shows his
disconnection and detachment from everyone else when we find out he is an undercover cop
trying to undermine the heist. With Mr. Blonde we find out he is a psychopath and likes to do his
own thing, which ends up causing a lot of conflict with the other members. Mr. Pink shows
detachment when he decides not to involve himself in the three way Mexican standoff that would...

In fact, at least 50% or more of the movie consists of flashbacks. For example, one of the biggest
problems for our protagonist is finding out who the rat is. As everyone is pointing their guns and
accusing one another, we go into a flashback of Mr. Orange where we find out he is actually an
undercover cop. This flashbacks serves two purposes, much like all the flashbacks in the film. Its
main use is a tool for character development, but it is also very important for creating conflict
and moving the film forward, albeit in a non linear fashion common in Tarantino films. Here we
learn that Mr. Orange is a good guy who really enjoys his job as a cop, but what his flashback
also does is escalate the conflict. In it we see a strong bond grow between Mr. White and Mr.
Orange, and it causes Mr. White to clash with the rest of his team when defending Mr. Orange,
who he wholeheartedly believes is a thief like the rest of them. In the end this causes the death of
three main characters. Each flashback in the film serves this multi pronged purpose of telling us
exactly who each of the protagonists are, and then using these newly learned attributes to stir up
trouble in the films plot. Basically, these flashbacks acts as delays for the more intense moments of
the film setting up an even larger delay for the films

Inside Out By Pete Docter
INSIDE OUT DIRECTED BY PETE DOCTER Inside out is a disney cartoon film directed by
Pete Docter. It follows the story of a preteen girl named Riley and her emotions that are
represented as characters in the film, with an angle of meeting the little voices inside your head .
Representing the five major emotions are the characters Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear,
who take us on a journey through the brightly coloured, amazing, exhilarating wonderland of
Riley s mind, conquering many troubles along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and found
that although aimed at a younger audience I think it touches on very relevant topics that are
essential for life, such as individuality and acceptance of others, that are both resourceful and
important for everyone of all ages to know and learn about making it an appealing and enjoyable
film for all. The concept of acceptance of others was definitely present throughout the entire film,
however the full effect and realisation of this concept didn t come into play till towards the end of
movie when I felt personally, a realisation sensation stuck. In the beginning of the film we are
introduced to the characters who represent Riley s emotions. Although each are responsible for
certain areas of Riley in particular, it is strongly apparent that the emotion Joy is the ringleader
within the group, and takes pride in being so. Joy however is a character that contradicts another
one of the emotions Sadness, as you would expect.

Every year you still march down that street with that stupid proud expression on your face, you
glorify the bloody wastefulness of that day? ? Act 2, Scene 3, The One Day of the Year. Hughie
(the son of the war veteran with the controversial ideas about the meaning of Anzac day) mentions
about the mistake that cost sixty thousand lives. The Anzacs were expecting to battle on large
plains and were trained to do so. Instead of finding the flat beach they expected, they found they
had been landed at an incorrect position and faced the steep cliffs of the Turkish Peninsula
constantly under fire from above as they strived to entrench themselves at the base of the cliff.
They faced a well organised, well armed, large Turkish force determined to defend their country.
Every year on the 25th of April Australia commemorates this mistake. It is remembered like it
was a victory but to many it is viewed as a waste of good men, young and old who died,
sacrificing everything for there country. The Soldiers who fought for their countries should in
some people?s opinion be viewed as heroes. They risked their life for the freedom of their
country. Some believe that the battle at Gallipoli was not Australia?s war and that we were
invading someone else?s countries for another countries cause. But what bravery the young soldiers

Conserving Water for the Future Agriculture must mediate between nature and human community,
with ties and obligations in both directions. To farm well requires an elaborate courtesy toward all
creatures, animate and inanimate (Wendell Berry). Farming is a delicate balance between
producing the most possible from the land without destroying the land. In order for farming to be
sustainable more has to be grown with less. Water conservation can be addressed in developing
countries by simply embracing modern farming methods. In developed countries more money will
have to be invested into water saving irrigationmethods. There was a time when you didn t shut
the water off when you brushed your teeth and now it is habit to shut the water off to save that
little bit of water. The same spirit will have to implemented in farming simple methods can be
used to save water. In order for farming to be sustainable in an ever changing world, more time
and effort needs to be dedicated to water conservation because the population is growing, water is
a finite resource, and using less water allows farmers to irrigate more land with the same amount of
water.
Farmers across the world will have to embrace modern irrigation techniques. Africa is a prime
example of a continent heavily invested in water conservation. In a continent where 23.2% of its
inhabitants are starving they still have farms without irrigation (World Hunger). Well it would
require significant changes switching

What Are The Rewards In Walden Economy
In Walden Economy , Thoreau states that For a long time I was a reporter to a journal, of no
very wide circulation, whose editor has never yet seen fit to print the bulk of my contributions,
and, as is too common with writers, I got only my labor for my pains. However, in this case, my
pains were their own reward. This pain is written to be a reward for Thoreau. The reward that is
received is the reward of hard work and learning. Even though Thoreau had a very low job in the
journalism industry, and made many works for the business, many never saw the light of day. What
is understood though, is that he was not very angry or disappointed with the results, but instead
found a sort of happiness or reward . Through understanding, Thoreau... Show more content on

This not only applies to his field of work but also applies to his life. Thoreau not only learned to
write better, but it also helps in forming habits that last a lifetime. The reward is much deeper
than writing. A life lesson only learned through failure is earned. The lesson is that through
failure, you find success. Many of history s greats have all learned the lesson and never stopped
after their first failure, but instead learned and continued to work hard to achieve their goals.
This lesson of pain being a reward is shown throughout my life. Through high school, grades
never came easy, studying hard and through plenty of gruesome hours was necessary for success.
I struggled in applying myself to study every night and took a more relaxed and fun approach to
the high school life. This turned into failure quickly and through the failure, I was forced to form
study habits and get rid of many distractions. This failure was required in understanding how to
become successful through my academic career, as well as life. This lesson is applied to me
waking up every morning with a positive attitude and work

Benefits Of The Los Alamos National Laboratories
Over the course of the last seventy years, the Los Alamos National Laboratories has created the
illusion that inviting high profile military installations into the state of New Mexico has and
continues to provide a stable economic system to the region, as well as, numerous social and
economic benefits to the residents of the Los Alamos area and ultimately to the state. It does
seem reasonable that every large military installation that budgets and spends large sums of
money annually, would have at least some good economic benefits and it will also create jobs.
However, there will also be some downsides to a large military funded facility like the Los Alamos

Jobs for whom? It is possible that Los Alamos National Laboratories, which by definition provides

that immigrants from other states or other parts of the world could ultimately take the majority of

National Sovereignty, Oppressive Government, and the US Role in the World
Introduction
The American attack against Afghanistan that was triggered by the September 11th tragedy once
again raised the question of US role in the world. The current military intervention also touched the
issue of the major factors, defining the course of US international policy. In the globalized world
today the ratio of soft power (the ability to attract through cultural and ideological appeal) to hard
power (a country s economic and military ability to buy and coerce) used in solving international
conflicts is constantly increasing (Nye 2). However, military campaigns still provide a way out of
deepening international crises. Should ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since one could argue what US end goals actually are, I will assume that peace, democracy, and
freedom are absolute values and always better than war and oppression. They should, therefore, be
the final targets of every international act. Unfortunately, so far, as I will show by examples, this
target has rarely been reached.
Second, the US government and the entire nation, seem less and less eager to risk the lives of
American soldiers as well as billions of dollars for causes that are not directly related to America s
national security or its geo political and economic interests. This fact is particularly important,
having in mind the dependence in every democratic country of policy makers on the public opinion.
Finally, the US interventions are likely to create a climate of animosity against America and its
allies among states whose sovereignty has been violated by US military campaigns. The costs of
such a negative climate might eventually fall upon future American generations and bring forth real
threats to the world peace.
With all these factors in mind, I argue that USA s violation of a state s sovereignty could be
justified only by an extremely blatant and absolutely intolerable violation of human rights or hostile
actions, endangering US sovereignty. Likewise, oppressive government s policies, unless overtly
anti human or directed against US vital interests, should not be a reason for military intervention.

68ga Anti-Hr2 Case Study
The data obtained from this clinical case show that 68Ga DTPA Anti HER2 has the capability to
identify HER2 expressing metastatic lesions from breast cancer. Importantly, HER2 overexpression
was foreseen in lymph nodes and lung metastases by molecular imaging when the
immunohistochemistry analysis was indeterminate for both metastatic sites and, even if 18F FDG
seems to be better to visualize tumours, 68Ga DTPA Anti HER2 showed high specificity to detect
the pulmonary metastatic lesions. The origin of the moderate uptake using 68Ga DTPA Anti HER2
remains to be determined, but may be related to low levels of HER2 expression.
Noteworthy, 68Ga had a significant background activity in the liver and heart (SUVmax=9.45 and
8.7, respectively) that did not represent a problem in the present case as signal noise did not
interfere with the detection of the pulmonary masses. Nevertheless, due to the background noise
frequently reduces the detection of tissue lesions11, the latter is proposed as the best time point to
obtain images with an optimal signal to noise ratio12.
Later time points, however, were not assessed in this study because of the short half life of 68Ga

Risks And Risk Response Strategies
Having identified the risks and grouped them according to severity, the first trade off the manager
has to make is the decision to forego managing the less severe risks and focus on those which
pose the most severe threat to the project. More significant risk may include risks which require
the entire redesign of the project, whereas less severe riskmay include those which cause little or
no material changes to the project. Since the less severe risks are likely to cause little or no
material changes to the project and use less resources, it is reasonable to trade off these risks in
favour of managing the more severe risks. On the other hand, these risks will remain and
continue to pose a threat to the project, therefore they should be recorded in the risk register and
dealt with as secondary risks. Risk response strategies should then be implemented to deal with
both the severe and less severe risks which have been previously identified and analysed
(Elkington Smallman, 2002). Hillson (2009) identifies four possible risk response strategies:
avoidance; transfer; mitigation and acceptance. Risk avoidance involves completely eliminating
the possibility of the risk. The simplest and most common method of avoiding the risk is
removing it from the project deliverable. Another common way of avoiding risks is designing
around them. Risk transfer involves giving the responsibility of the risk to someone or an
organisation outside of the project. There are several ways

Radiocarbon Dating
Organic archaeological specimens, matter that was once living, such as bone, shells, skins, fibers,
wool, etc., are all dated by use of radiocarbon dating (anything that once lived). The radiocarbon
dating process measures the Carbon 14 isotopes within the organic material being examined. This
method measures the radioactive emissions from the once living matter, comparing its activity with
the equilibrium level of living things, a measurement of the time elapsed can be made. The
radioactive isotopewithin the artifact will help determine the objects age.

glass) by measuring the layer of film present on the rock that has been formed by diffusing water
over time onto the surface of the artifact. The obsidian, over time, absorbs water when exposed to
air. Therefore differentiating conditions the rock is exposed to will determine the amount of water
the sample absorbs. In order to use obsidian hydrations for absolute dating, the conditions that the
materials have been exposed to must be understood, (i.e. climate conditions, location of excavation
will determine hydration levels within the sample), or comparing the material to samples of a known

Leonardo da Vinci one of the greatest painters of the Italian Renaissance. Most notable for his
works of the Mona Lisa and the Last Supper. Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 in
the city of Vinci, Italy. He was raised by his father and stepmother till the age of 5 until his

Da Vinci came up with many concepts and even inventions of many mathematical instruments that
are still in use today. One of the concepts Leonardo da Vinci created was Platonic solids. Before he
could even think of creating this Da Vinci first spent time studying Luca Pacioli s book called
Summa de arithmetica, which consisted of practical arithmetic, basic algebra, basic geometry,
and accounting. From this Da Vinci was able to grasp the concept of geometry and go on to
create Platonic solids. In doing so he first started by taking tables of proportions and
multiplication tables form Luca Pacioli s book. Once working on this Leonardo da Vinci
collaborated with Luca Pacioli in the year 1497 about another book Pacioli made called Divina
Proportione which was about mathematics. Together Pacioli and Da Vinci dedicated the
second portion of Divina Proportione to only Platonic solids. Platonic solids are said to be a
polyhedron of whose faces are all congruent to regular polygons, and where the same faces meet
at every vertex of the polygon. This book would later go on to be published in the year 1509 as
Luca Pacioli the creator with help from Leonardo da Vinci and illustrations by Da Vinci as well.
After this incredible concept created by Leonardo da Vinci, he started to be consumed by
mathematics to the point where is notebook became filled with geometric sketches and diagrams.
Along with this Da Vinci could find the center of mass of a tetrahedron in which after finding he
tried to recreate it. Other occurrences in his notebook were ways of helping himself create the
rosette pattern for his artistic appeals. From this Leonardo da Vinci used many early compasses to
aid him in creating this pattern, but none seemed to get him where he needed too. Therefore, Da
Vinci took his skills of mathematics and created his own versions of

Jewish Contributions to the Early Civil Rights Movement
In many ways, the 1950s planted the seeds for the progress of the 60s. Glimpses of the rebellious
generation, who would later find its way to the anti War protests, are found throughout the fifties,
specifically in movies like Rebel Without a Cause and more overtly in Jack Kerouac?s On The
Road. The move away from conformity and towards more of an individualistic mentality began in
the somewhat closed circles of the Beat movement and spread throughout America during the
sixties. The Montgomery Bus Boycotts and Brown V. Board of Education were great precursors to
the revolutionary civil rights legislation of the mid sixties. Whereas for most of the aforementioned
societal changes, the 50s only exhibited hints of what was to come in the... Show more content on

Martin Luther King Jr. took the helm of the Montgomery Improvement Association, which was in
charge of the boycott, and it was under his leadership that the civil rights movement began to take a
new direction. His approach to the civil injustices of the time was peaceful confrontation. Exploiting
the new TV medium of the 1950s, King was able to reach millions more. The contrast of innocent
Blacks against the antagonistic White policemen of the South struck a chord with the liberal
Americans of the North. Playing on progressive ideals, King captured the attention of the left
leaning Americans, specifically those who found it difficult to express themselves in the federally
hunted Communist movement.
King, a religious man himself, frequently alluded to Biblical stories and themes. Instead of talking
about the resurrection of Jesus and other themes which divided Christians and Jews, King focused
on the Old Testament and the common values found in both religions. King himself declared that, I
draw not from Marxism or any other secular philosophy but from the prophets of Israel; from their
passion for justice and cry for righteousness. The ethic of Judaism is integral to my Christian faith.

What Is The Intimate Act Of Choreography
The theme of The Intimate Act of Choreography by Lynne Anne Blom and L. Tarin Chaplin is to
inform the audience on what choreography is and how to go about the creative process of
dance. This book s purpose is to be a guide into choreographic process. The choreographic
process, which is a series of steps that create dance and classify dance as a whole, helps the
authors break down the major ideas to form smaller concepts which are used to initialize a dance.
The work provides an analytical view on dance as an artform but also in making the process to
simple to understand and how to use. They do this using three steps to simplify the choreographic
process divide, expand, and use. These three steps are relatively simple but allow for the audience
to understand the purpose of the book and transfer their newfound knowledge into the world. The

Marjane Satrapi began writing Persepolis at the age of 29 so that she would avoid conflicting
emotions. Satrapi did not want to write until she had completely come to peace with what
happened when she was young. Now, while graphic novels are not uncommon, they are not,
typically, used to exhibit the events of a revolution. The brilliance behind Persepolis rests in the
intentional use of simple diction and graphics as symbols of how the adolescent Marjane Satrapi

Persepolis resembled that of a child s. More so, the clash between black and white throughout the

Triplett s Sports Psychology
Whereas Triplett s work represented the first sport psychology research study in North
America, the first individual to do systematic sport psychology analysis was Coleman R.
Griffith, a doctoral student also at the University of Illinois (Cox et al., 1993). In the 1920s,
Griffith began to apply laboratory findings to real life sports situations and went into the field to
make observations and interview athletes. In addition, between 1921 and 1931, Griffith published
25 articles on topics such as learning, personality, psychomotor skills, reaction times, and
flexibility (Gould Pick, 1995). In 1923, the University of Illinois hired him to help athletes improve
their performance. Later, he worked as a psychologist for basketball and football teams, such as the

father of sport psychology in North America (Williams Straub, 1998).
Isolated Sport Psychology Work: 1930 1960
Although Griffith is considered to be the father of sport psychology in North America, his work

In the latter half of the 20th century, shopping malls became very popular and most of the company s stores were situated in the downtown areas, they followed the trend of developing more stores in the shopping malls to attract customers and increase the financial profitability of the company. From its inception in 1902, the company grew enormously, it added different businesses, made them successful, and sold them to focus more on the retail aspect of the business. As an example, in 2001, its direct marketing insurance unit was sold to Dutch Insurance for 1.3 Billion dollars. In June of 2011, JC Penney announced that Ron Johnson was selected to be the next CEO of the company. In his 17 months of leadership at JC Penney, the company performed very poorly. However, they are affected more negatively as they are forced to vacate their homes as they can no longer afford the rent. This leads to displacement of more impoverished families. On top of that, they are forced to spend a lot on rent alone in case they stay. This might affect their finances, and they could end up bankrupt. Their health may deteriorate too because of depression as well as higher charges in the hospital. The motifs purpose is to display how each character is somehow disconnected from one another, and while they are a part of a team they are also individuals. As everyone is pointing their guns and accusing one another, we go into a flashback of Mr. Orange where we find out he is actually an undercover cop. This flashbacks serves two purposes, much like all the flashbacks in the film. Its main use is a tool for character development, but it is also very important for creating conflict and moving the film forward, albeit in a non linear fashion common in Tarantino films. Here we learn that Mr. Orange is a good guy who really enjoys his job as a cop, but what his flashback also does is escalate the conflict. In it we see a strong bond grow between Mr. White and Mr. Orange, and it causes Mr. White to clash with the rest of his team when defending Mr. Orange, who he wholeheartedly believes is a thief like the rest of them. In the end this causes the death of three main characters. Each flashback in the film serves this multi pronged purpose of telling us exactly who each of the protagonists are, and then using these newly learned attributes to stir up trouble in the films plot. Representing the five major emotions are the characters Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear, who take us on a journey through the brightly coloured, amazing, exhilarating wonderland of Riley s mind, conquering many troubles along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and found that although aimed at a younger audience I think it touches on very relevant topics that are essential for life, such as individuality and acceptance of others, that are both resourceful and important for everyone of all ages to know and learn about making it an appealing and enjoyable film for all. The concept of acceptance of others was definitely present throughout the entire film, however the full effect and realisation of this concept didn t come into play till towards the end of movie when I felt personally, a realisation sensation stuck. To farm well requires an elaborate courtesy toward all creatures, animate and inanimate (Wendell Berry). Farming is a delicate balance between producing the most possible from the land without destroying the land. In order for farming to be sustainable more has to be grown with less. Water conservation can be addressed in developing countries by simply embracing modern farming methods. In developed countries more money will have to be invested into water saving irrigationmethods. There was a time when you didn t shut the water off when you brushed your teeth and now it is habit to shut the water off to save that little bit of water. The same spirit will have to implemented in farming simple methods can be used to save water. In order for farming to be sustainable in an ever changing world, more time and effort needs to be dedicated to water conservation because the population is growing, water is a finite resource, and using less water allows farmers to irrigate more land with the same amount of water. Farmers across the world will have to embrace modern irrigation techniques. Africa is a prime example of a continent heavily invested in water conservation. National Sovereignty, Oppressive Government, and the US Role in the World Introduction The American attack against Afghanistan that was triggered by the September 11th tragedy once again raised the question of US role in the world. The current military intervention also touched the issue of the major factors, defining the course of US international policy. In the globalized world today the ratio of soft power (the ability to attract through cultural and ideological appeal) to hard power (a country s economic and military ability to buy and coerce) used in solving international conflicts is constantly increasing (Nye 2). However, military campaigns still provide a way out of deepening international crises. Should ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since one could argue what US end goals actually are, I will assume that peace, democracy, and freedom are absolute values and always better than war and oppression. They should, therefore, be the final targets of every international act. Unfortunately, so far, as I will show by examples, this target has rarely been reached. Second, the US government and the entire nation, seem less and less eager to risk the lives of American soldiers as well as billions of dollars for causes that are not directly related to America s national security or its geo political and economic interests. This fact is particularly important, having in mind the dependence in every democratic country of policy makers on the public opinion. Finally, the US interventions are likely to create a climate of animosity against America and its allies among states whose sovereignty has been violated by US military campaigns. The costs of such a negative climate might eventually fall upon future American generations and bring forth real threats to the world peace. With all these factors in mind, I argue that USA s violation of a state s sovereignty could be justified only by an extremely blatant and absolutely intolerable violation of human rights or hostile actions, endangering US sovereignty. Likewise, oppressive government s policies, unless overtly anti human or directed against US vital interests, should not be a reason for military intervention. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 28. Risks And Risk Response Strategies Having identified the risks and grouped them according to severity, the first trade off the manager has to make is the decision to forego managing the less severe risks and focus on those which pose the most severe threat to the project. More significant risk may include risks which require the entire redesign of the project, whereas less severe riskmay include those which cause little or no material changes to the project. Since the less severe risks are likely to cause little or no material changes to the project and use less resources, it is reasonable to trade off these risks in favour of managing the more severe risks. On the other hand, these risks will remain and continue to pose a threat to the project, therefore they should be recorded in the risk register and dealt with as secondary risks. Risk response strategies should then be implemented to deal with both the severe and less severe risks which have been previously identified and analysed (Elkington Smallman, 2002). Hillson (2009) identifies four possible risk response strategies: avoidance; transfer; mitigation and acceptance. Risk avoidance involves completely eliminating the possibility of the risk. Before he could even think of creating this Da Vinci first spent time studying Luca Pacioli s book called Summa de arithmetica, which consisted of practical arithmetic, basic algebra, basic geometry, and accounting. From this Da Vinci was able to grasp the concept of geometry and go on to create Platonic solids. In doing so he first started by taking tables of proportions and multiplication tables form Luca Pacioli s book. Once working on this Leonardo da Vinci collaborated with Luca Pacioli in the year 1497 about another book Pacioli made called Divina Proportione which was about mathematics. Together Pacioli and Da Vinci dedicated the second portion of Divina Proportione to only Platonic solids. Platonic solids are said to be a polyhedron of whose faces are all congruent to regular polygons, and where the same faces meet at every vertex of the polygon. Her main accommodation was that she was to receive additional help such as having someone read the questions aloud to her if needed and was able to leave the room to be in a more secluded area. When I asked about how they felt about her accommodations they said that they were a little apprehensive because they felt that this would lead to their child feeling more inferior and lead to additional confrontations amongst other ... • 35. Persepolis Diction Analysis Marjane Satrapi began writing Persepolis at the age of 29 so that she would avoid conflicting emotions. Satrapi did not want to write until she had completely come to peace with what happened when she was young. Now, while graphic novels are not uncommon, they are not, typically, used to exhibit the events of a revolution. The brilliance behind Persepolis rests in the intentional use of simple diction and graphics as symbols of how the adolescent Marjane Satrapi viewed her world. Although the writer was sufficiently educated as an adult, her diction throughout Persepolis resembled that of a child s. More so, the clash between black and white throughout the drawings help to remind the readers of the (inner) conflict the young Satrapi felt as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is another unnecessary purchase. You think that it stops with the cost of the 3D glasses? Think again! To be able to access a true 3D viewing experience, consumers needed to invest in a 3D enable Blu ray Disc player or lead a new 3D enabled cable or satellite box. Furthermore, if you wish to watch movies online, you needed to make sure that your new 3DTV was compatible with an internet service that offered 3D streaming content. The same goes for those who had a home theater setup where video signals were routed through a home theater receiver which required the new receiver to be compatible with 3D video signals from any connected 3D Blu ray Disc player, cable, or satellite box.
