3. Switch
A switch is a
simple device
that either
breaks the circuit
or completes it.
4. Material
CONDUCTOR
• Materials that allow
electric current to pass
through them are
called conductors.
INSULATOR
• Materials that do not
allow electric current
to pass through them
are called insulators.
5. List of material
CONDUCTOR
• Sewing needle, keys, pins,
coins and metals etc.
INSULATOR
• Cork, rubber, glass, plastic
scale, wooden block,
candle, thermo Col, paper
and pencil lead and Non
metals etc.
Editor's Notes
Hello Students ,in this part we will cover about switch.
So when the switch is on, Torch bulb gives light
The switch is not only the part of torch
but we see switches everyday all around us, for example in our study room, dining room or main switch board etc
A switch is a simple device that either breaks the circuit or completes it.
So till here we have completed about the torch and its components,
Now we will understand about the material used in electricity and circuit
Basically we use two type of material conductor and insulator
Materials that allow electric current to pass through them are called conductors.
Where as
Materials that do not allow electric current to pass through them are called insulators.
Conductors are Sewing needle, keys, pins, coins and metals etc.
Whereas insulators are
Cork, rubber, glass, plastic scale, wooden block, candle, thermo Col, paper and pencil lead and Non metals etc.
So here our chapter-12 completed.
