The story is about a curious little mouse named Perez who lives in a building near a bakery. Perez discovers that a dental clinic is moving into the building and begins observing the dentist's work. Perez learns dentistry and becomes famous for helping other mice with dental issues. However, elderly toothless mice still struggle to eat. Perez gets the idea to use children's baby teeth, which are naturally the right size for mice, to help the elderly mice. He trades the teeth for gifts left under children's pillows, starting the tradition still followed today.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The Indian economy is classified into different sectors to simplify the analysis and understanding of economic activities. For Class 10, it's essential to grasp the sectors of the Indian economy, understand their characteristics, and recognize their importance. This guide will provide detailed notes on the Sectors of the Indian Economy Class 10, using specific long-tail keywords to enhance comprehension.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

1. CLASSIC TALES: EL RATONCITO PÉREZ
Of Luis Coloma
The story of "Perez" is a popular story in Spain and in
Spanish-speaking countries. So much so that it has its own
house-museum in Madrid, in the central Arenal street, and
issues its own diplomas and coins.
Apparently, it was the Jesuit of Jerez "Luis Coloma" its
diffuser in Spain, since the personage and its fable have
their adaptation in many other countries. In some it is a
little mouse, in others a fairy ... although everyone takes the
children's milk teeth in exchange for a gift.
To enjoy!
2. Once upon a time there was a little
mouse named Pepito Perez, a little
mouse who lived with his family in the
hole in the wall of a building in the
city.
The hole was not very big but it was
very comfortable, and they did not
lack the food, because they lived
next to a bakery and at night they
went to look for flour and everything
they needed to eat.
One day, Pepito heard a big upstairs noise. As he was a curious
mouse, he climbed the plumbing until he reached the first floor, and
there he discovered a pile of furniture: appliances, armchairs,
flowers, paintings ... It seemed that someone was coming to settle in
the building.
3. The next day Pepito went up again, and
then he discovered something he liked a
lot: they had put a dental clinic! What
fun!
The little mouse went up every day to
see the doctor work, and he pointed
everything he saw in a small cardboard
box. In that way he learned a lot,
because during the day he watched the
doctor and at night he practiced with his
family: his mother cleaned his teeth very
well and his sister cured a toothache.
And so the little mouse Perez became famous. Mice came from
everywhere to be healed. Field mice with a bag full of food for
him, city mice with hat and cane, small mice, big, fat, skinny ... They
all wanted the little mouse Perez to fix their teeth.
4. But then, old, toothless mice began to
eat nougat, nuts, almonds, and
everything they ate when they were
young.
The little mouse Perez thought and thought how he could help
these elderly mice that trusted him. And, almost always having
a doubt, he went up to the dental clinic to look.
There he saw the doctor put teeth on an old man. They were
false teeth, they were made in a large factory for dentists to
put on people they did not have. But they were huge teeth, and
they were no good for mice.
When he went home without finding a solution, a child appeared
with a mother at the clinic.
5. The boy wanted the doctor to remove a tooth
of milk so that the strong and definitive tooth
came out quickly. The doctor took it off and
gave it to him for remembrance. The little
mouse Perez found the solution: "I'll go to that
boy's house and buy his tooth," he thought.
That night, the little mouse Perez went to the
boy's house and, when they were all asleep, he
entered his room. He found the milk tooth
under the pillow, so he picked it up and gave
the baby a little present.
The next morning, when the child saw the
gift, he was very happy. He told all his friends
what had happened and since then, all the
children leave their baby teeth under the
pillow at night. And the little mouse Perez
picks them up and leaves them a gift instead.
