El Chupacabra is a legendary creature said to attack livestock and suck their blood. It is described as a reptile-like creature that stands 3-4 feet tall with scaly greenish skin, quills on its spine, fangs, and a forked tongue. The first reported attack was in Puerto Rico in 1995 where eight sheep were found with three puncture wounds in their chests and completely drained of blood. Since then, over 150 livestock deaths have been attributed to El Chupacabra. It has become a cultural phenomenon that is frequently referenced in television shows and movies.
