 Who we are:
 Launched in February 2013,
 Alif Ailaan is a campaign that seeks to put education at the front and centre of public
discourse in Pakistan.
 Our goal is to get every Pakistani girl and boy into school, keep them learning and ensure
that they receive a quality education.
 The campaign is run by a small team of media and strategic communications specialists
with experience from across the world.
 We are funded by the UK Department for International Development.

 What we do:
 We constructively engage with all those who have a stake in Pakistan’s education system
 Political advocacy at the highest levels of government as well as locally
 Outreach to parents and communities through grassroots activists and civil society partners
 Engagement with school heads, teachers and education managers
 Targeted campaigns in print, on radio and television, and on social media
 Research and data compilation to assist decision makers and to inform the education discourse.
 What we offer:
 We provide grant support to civil society organizations working for education reform
and fund research on issues related to education in Pakistan.
 Where we work:
 We work in all four provinces of Pakistan as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir,
the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Islamabad Capital Territory.
 Our network of education activists is spread across more than 70 districts.
 Our office is located in Islamabad.
