1. Editing the film.

2. Day 1:
So, on day 1 of editing our film, I collected both cameras that were used to film and imported all of the media into
our file. Then I imported our videos into Premiere and started editing. One issue I came across was that the videos
were not in order so a lot of ,y time was wasted on searching for the video I wanted. On the first day I had edited
everything up to the flashback.
Day 2:
When I opened up the premiere file, not everything was there and some audio had disappeared. So I decided to
restart from scratch and I created an new Premiere file. Here I started from the beginning and I started editing.
Day 3:
Here on day 3, I continued editing the whole film and put everything together without any editing techniques
involved. All of the clips were just bluntly put together.

3. Day 4:
After I had put all of the clips together, I started editing. Here I incorporated all of the transitions and
added text to the video.
For the text, we wanted a specific font, so I went onto Dafont.com and searched a suitable font for our
Thriller film. In the end I found a font called “Blacklisted”.
Day 5:
With a few titles in place and the first 1/3 of the film edited I decided to
colour correct the first third. The reason I had to colour correct was because
one of the scenes was much
lighter than the previous since there was a filming error ( curtains were shut in previous scene and were open in the next).
So I had to make the second scene a lot darker to appear that there weren’t any visible differences. I had to use the colour
wheel to find the suitable tone .

4. Day 6:
In the meantime, Ella and Cerys were producing music, sound effects and and animated logo.
Next on the list was editing the rest of the film. I still had a lot to do but I found editing fun and interesting so that
kept me going.
Day 7:
So now I had to put in transitions. For the flashback, I used a white flash and all of the flashback videos were in
black and white to look “old” as in in the past. This is often used in films to refer back to the past when the
audience needs to know about something that happened before.
Day 8:
Transitions, Done. Text, Done. Colour correcting, Done. Now I had to edit the audio of on of the scences of her
sitting down on to the bed. The floorboard was very squeaky so I tried to replace the sound by doing a copy and
paste of the same audio and fill in the gap of a moment when the floorboard wasn’t making any sound but the
audio didn’t flow well with the video so my second option was to lower the sound of the floorboard. This still made
it as an ambient sound.

5. Day 9:
Now all was left to do was do the finishing touches and export it.
Viewing day:
This was the day that we had to show our finished, film opening.
When we were watching the film, I realised that some of the text didn’t appear. This was frustrating but luckily
no one seemed to notice. But in future, I will now know to make sure that all of the animated text that I created
on after effects, is saved and appears at the right time.
