Editing is the process of manipulating videos or images during post-production. Some common editing techniques include shot reverse shot, which cuts between two characters looking at each other; eye line match, which matches a character's gaze to an off-screen object or person; and graphic match, which makes cuts where the viewer's focus is similar between shots. Other techniques include action match, jump cut, crosscutting, cutaways, dissolves, fades, wipes, superimposition, slow or fast motion, and visual effects created in post-production.
