The document discusses props and costumes for a photoshoot for an R&B/urban music magazine. Clothing will represent the genre and include trendy outfits like football jerseys and Boy London jumpers. Accessories like gold chains and snapback hats will add an edgy statement. Props like microphones, amps, and headphones will identify that the magazine is about music, and a toy gun could portray violence in the industry.
2. Clothing/shoes
●
Clothing is the main factor in the photoshoot to clearly show what kind of
genre my music magazine is. As my music magazine is for R&B/urban
music is it important my model wears clothes that represent this. My model
will be wearing very trendy clothing that most young people wear now a
days. Using all my own clothing, I plan to choose a variety of outfits so I
have a good range to choose from as my front cover. I have planned for my
model to simply wear just an American football style top as this is both
vibrant in colour and will make a statement. Also another outfit planned is a
Boy London jumper which is a very urban brand and by just simply just
wearing a body suit underneath is very similar to Miley Cyrus front cover on
Notion therefore can be both have a sex appeal and will attract a wider
audience
3. Accessories
Accessories are also very important in my photoshoot as they will add more
of a statement to the image. I plan for my model to wear a gold chain as this
is very on trend with young people at the moment and will make the image
more edgy. Also I plan for my model to wear a snapback as this is seen in a
vast majority of R&B magazine front covers therefore this will emphasis to
the audience what type of genre my magazine is. Even though the shoes
may not be seen in the photoshoot as I do not plan to use long shots, I will
still have my model wear very trendy shoes such as nike air forces and
timberlands. I will experiment will all kind of shots therefore it is important
that everything worn will attract the audience.
4. Props
Props are important to use for a photoshoot as they will clearly identify to
the audience that OnPoint is a music magazine. I will feature
microphones, amps and headphones as these are most commonly seen in
R&B music. An amp can be simply used by having my model sitting on top
of it which therefore will make an statement to the audience. Also if possible
a realistic toy gun will be used as portrays the violence and aggression
commonly seen in the R&B industry.
