This document summarizes research on parents' perceptions of a flipped classroom model for their children in 5th grade math, science, and social studies. A survey of 25 parents found that over half were indifferent or in favor of the model. The most appealing benefits were customized learning, videos for absences, and videos for parents. While most parents were indifferent or supportive of their child trying the approach, some concerns were about extra work, lack of internet access, getting questions answered, and ensuring their child gets support. The researcher recommends addressing parents' misconceptions, surveying more parents, offering informational sessions, piloting the program, and providing videos for absent students and interested parents.
