Celts believed this was the night when spirits of the dead walked the earth and left offerings to appease them. Jack o'Lanterns originated from the Celtic tradition of lighting turnips to ward off evil spirits and were brought to the UK, where pumpkins replaced turnips. Fortunetelling was also popular, such as baking coins, rings, and thimbles into cakes to predict one's future or wealth.

Guy Fawkes was an English Catholic who took part in the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. The plot aimed to blow up the English Parliament building with gunpowder while King James I was giving a speech, killing him and other Protestant leaders. Fawkes was found guarding 36 barrels of gunpowder in the cellar and was subsequently arrested, tortured, and executed. His failed attempt is still commemorated annually in the UK as Guy Fawkes Night on November 5th with fireworks and burning effigies of Guy Fawkes.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. - 3. Water pollution THE MOST SERIOUS REASONS OF WATER POLLUTION ARE: - INDUSTRIAL AND CHEMICAL WASTES; - DOMESTIC WASTE; - USE OF DETERGENTS FOR CLEANING OUR HOUSES AND CARS; - DRAINAGE WATERS FROM IRRIGATED LANDS.
- 4. Air pollution AIR POLLUTION IS THE RESULT OF OUR USE OF CHEMICALS. FACTORIES AND PLANTS RELEASE POISONOUS CHEMICALS INTO THE AIR. BUT THE MOST OF THE POLLUTION IN OUR CITY COMES FROM CARS AND BUSES.
- 5. Noise from cars, buses CARS NOT ONLY POLLUTE THE AIR. THEY CREATE A VERY STRONG NOISE, WHICH IS VERY HARMFUL FOR OUR EARS. AND IF NOTHING IS DONE, PEOPLE FROM THE CHILDHOOD CAN HAVE PROBLEMS WITH HEARING!
- 6. Destruction of green zones THE DESTRUCTION OF GREEN ZONES IS ANOTHER PROBLEM NOWADAYS. FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS, PEOPLE HAVE CUT DOWN AND BURNT THE BIG AREAS OF FORESTS. THIS MEANS THERE ARE FEWER TREES AND, OF COURSE, MORE CARBON DIOXIDE! IT CAN CAUSE THE PROCESS OF GLOBAL WARMING OR THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT.
- 7. How to solve environmental problems? - THE FACTORIES AND PLANTS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE CITY - GREEN ZONES MUST BE SAVED AND CREATED. THE GREENERY MUST BE PROTECTED AND INCREASED - WE MUST UTILIZE THE WASTE - WE MUST THROW AWAY LESS RUBBISH AND USE LITTER BINS - NOISE MUST BE REDUCED - WE MUST GO TO WORK ON FOOT (NOT BY CAR OR BUS) OR WE CAN USE A BICYCLE FOR A LONG DISTANCE.
