Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem. Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper. Good Friday is observed through prayer and fasting, as well as kissing the cross. On Holy Saturday, baskets of food are blessed in church. Easter Sunday is spent with family, celebrating Christ's resurrection through a special breakfast and the tradition of kids receiving sweets from the Easter Bunny. Easter Monday is unique to Poland, where people expect to get drenched with water.

There is a special serivice - Way of the Cross. Each
person in the church has to come to the cross and
kiss it.

Holy Saturday is las day of Lent.
On Saturday morning we take basket of food to church to be blessed.
Easter eggs are special eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter.
In Christianity, they symbolize the empty tomb of Jesus.

At Easter we celebrate Christ’s
Resurrection, and His victory
over death and sin. On Easter
Sunday we meet our family for
a special breakfast. Kids get
the sweets from Easter
Bunny. Sometimes they look
for chocolate eggs in the
house. People wish one
another “Happy Easter” and
share blessed food from the
basket.

7. Easter Monday is celebrated in Poland only.
That day everyone expect to be drenched with water.
