Easter is celebrated in Poland with traditions such as blessing baskets of food including eggs, bread, meat and sweets in church on Easter Saturday. People also decorate eggs called "pisanki" or "kraszonki" and visit the tomb of Jesus Christ. On Easter Sunday, Christians participate in a procession and mass called the Resurrection before gathering for an Easter breakfast with blessed food and a symbolic lamb. Modern traditions include children receiving presents from the Easter bunny and boys playfully splashing girls with water on Easter Monday in a tradition called "Smingus dyngus".
