Easter is the most important religious holiday in Poland, commemorating the resurrection of Christ. Families sit together for a breakfast of traditional dishes like sausage and cake, and share blessed eggs. The second day of Easter is known as "Wet Monday" and features Easter decorations like painted eggs, lambs of dough, and chocolate rabbits. During All Saints Day on November 1st, families pray at the graves of loved ones, lighting candles. On November 6th, Santa Claus brings small gifts to children. Christmas on December 25th involves singing carols, breaking wafer, and decorating trees with apples, candy and homemade chains.
