Overcoming Barriers…….
Enhancing Curriculum through Technology (ECT 2 ) Learning about technology should be integrated into curricular practices – not in isolation. Learning to incorporate technology happens best when supported by a team of colleagues. Learning to effectively integrate technology requires time to try new ideas and time to examine their impact.
Program Outcomes: Explore new research and best practices of effective technology integration to plan and implement integrated instruction matched to the needs of the learner. Build a repertoire of technology skills and instructional best practices that will support student-centered learning. Explore the framework for planning instruction in a standards based, technology rich environment. Collaborate, as a part of a learning community, to meet the needs of all students through the skillful integration of technology into our professional practice. Learn, apply and reflect upon a variety of instructional technology strategies, matched to outcomes and learner needs.
Implementing ECT 2 Phase 1 – Kick off! Phase 2 – Technological Training and Coaching Phase 3 – Curriculum Review and Integrated Lesson Development Phase 4 – Peer Coaching to refine Curriculum and Lesson Development Phase 5 – PLC work, including data collection and interpretation
Sustaining Change… Goal: In order to improve our students’ 21st century skills and prepare them for participation in the global community, existing technologies will be utilized and integrated effectively into instruction.
