This study investigates the effects of aerobic interval training (AIT) on blood pressure and myocardial function in hypertensive patients. Over 12 weeks, AIT significantly reduced systolic blood pressure by 12 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure by 8 mmHg, while also improving heart rate and echocardiographic measures of cardiac function. The findings suggest that AIT is an effective intervention for lowering blood pressure and enhancing cardiovascular health in individuals with hypertension.
