TURNITIN SIMILARITY REPORTS
Dr Shelton
4/19/2017 7:12:39 AM
Class---The Turnitin similarity reports have not been working properly these last prior weeks. The system worked for many of the submissions for week 5. Please do not copy material and not cite your sources correctly. Please understand the differences between citing direct quotes and paraphrasing. Please do not get another students paper and use it. Please do not copy material from the web. The system will catch you. I am supposed to turn these submissions into the university for evaluation, when the system tells me to do so and if cited for a violation is entered into your record. Please do not copy material. Every submission that I have turned into the university has been cited for plagiarism ethics violation with no exception.
This last submission is critical. Please do not get a zero on it for not giving credit to your sources. This applied to the discussion question posts too. Good luck this last week.

Learning Outcomes
This week students will:
Describe the difference between data and knowledge in terms of the executive information system (EIS).
Analyze
the four step
s in the control process as it relates to the six elements of input.
Develop an organizational plan.
Introduction
For Week Six, the focus will be the six elements of organizational input (mission statement, strategic plans, tactical plans, past experience, feedback from external environment, and control system design), and how each of these elements influences the four steps of the organizational control process. This week’s content will also explore the difference between data and knowledge in terms of the executive information system (EIS) and how the executive manager can use the EIS to make effective decisions and develop organizational strategy.
Instructor Guidance
A Complete Paradigm Shift (Leadership and Power)
I peruse YouTube frequently and look for business related topics and discussions. I happened to come across this particular video a while back and really thought it should be the focal point of my last guidance for our class.
I believe that in today’s business environment, corporations and leaders need to rethink their business approaches, models, theories and strategies.
Leaders are currently operating under a paradigm of what is in it for me syndrome and focused on short term profits and returns for stakeholders
. This business model is leader driven and places no real true value on employees outside of being used and abused to accomplish business objectives.
Fortunately we are now starting to see a major shift from operating under this type of business strategy and leadership perspective into a new paradigm now focu.

Chapter 6Our Coherence Framework is simplexity.” Simplexity is .docxmccormicknadine86
Chapter 6
Our Coherence Framework is “simplexity.” Simplexity is not a real word, but it is a valuable concept. Simplexity means that you take a difficult problem and identify a small number of key factors (about four to six)—this is the simple part. And then you make these factors gel under the reality of action with its pressures, politics, and personalities in the situation—this is the complex part. In the case of our framework, there are only four big chunks and their interrelationships. Not only are these components dynamic but they also get refined over time in the setting in which you work. You have to focus on the right things, but you also must learn as you go. One of our favorite insights came from a retired CEO from a very successful company who, when asked about the most important thing he has learned about leadership, responded by say- ing, “It is more important to be right at the end of the meeting than the most important thing he has learned about leadership, responded by saying- ing, “It is more important to be right at the end of the meeting than the beginning” (David Cote, Honeywell, nyti.ms/1chUHqp). He was using this as a metaphor for a good change process: leaders influence the group, but they also learn from it. In fact, joint learning is what happens in effective change processes. If you are right at the beginning of the meeting, you are right only in your mind. If you are right at the notional end of the meeting, it means that you have processed the ideas with the group. McKinsey & Company conducted a study of leaders in the social sector (education et al.) and opened their report with these words: “chronic underinvestment [in leadership development] is placing increasing demands on social sector leaders” (Callanan, Gardner, Mendonca, & Scott, 2014). Their conclusions are right in our wheelhouse. In the survey of 200 social sector leaders, participants rated four critical attributes: balancing innovation with implementation, building executive teams, collaborating, and manag- ing outcomes. Survey respondents found themselves and their peers to be deficient in all four domains. In one table, they show the priorities—ability to innovate and implement, ability to surround selves with talented teams, collaboration, and ability to manage to outcomes—in terms of how respon- dents rated themselves and rated their peers as strong in the given domain. Both sets of scores were low—all below 40 percent. Collaboration, for example, was rated as 24 percent (self-rating) and 24 percent (rating of their peers). So the top capabilities are in short supply. Leaders build coherence when they combine the four components of our Coherence Framework with meeting the varied needs of the complex organizations they lead. Coherence making is a forever job because people come and go, and the situational dynamics are always in flux. They actively develop lateral and vertical connections so that the collaborative culture is deepened and drives dee ...

Description: Quandaries in Health Care
Declining Trust in the Health Care System (The Trust Crisis)
Health reform is mired in the morass of multi-tiered payment systems and multiple modes of access, limited by the ability to seek and to pay. Increasingly, patients are interacting with multiple entities within the system, causing more and more confusion on the part of the patient. According to recent research, patients' trust in the system, providers, and insurers continues to decline. This may result in a decline in individual health and an increase in costs for healthcare.
Investigate the declining trust in the health care system from an ethical and moral position. You may use the "four principles (autonomy, beneficence, no maleficence, and justice--plus concern for their scope of application) plus attention to scope model" of Beauchamp and Childress to address this, or any other ethical model that you choose.
· State what model you will use to investigate this issue.
· Identify 2 or more legal issues contributing to this problem.
· Identify 2 or more economic and financial issues contributing to this problem.
· Analyze the impact of various issues that are contributing to this problem, and rank them in order from greatest to least impact.
· Propose at least 1 modification that would increase trust in the health care system with rationale.
Make sure these that are all highlighted are answered please and highlight the questions in each paragraph so that it is seen where the questions are being used and found.
Thank you
Assessment 7 – BMO3327
Quick note: autonomous and continuous self-learners are the most sought out candidates in modern organizations.
A. Individual Learning:
Since learning about organizational change and development concepts is the core purpose of this course, I found the student oral presentations in week three thru seven to have the most benefit for my learning; they taught me on a wide array of organizational change and development theories, concepts, and ideas. Out of the discussions in all seven weeks, my individual tabletop presentation (week seven, presenter 1) gained me the most knowledge because I had to go deep to understand and be able to teach my group about the topic. The presentation was about whether incremental change is the safest path for organizations or not.
As for the least helpful activity, I see that the (almost) duplicated presentations relatively taught me the least because the information groups were to present on had already been learned in the group report and so it was just restating of what was learnt. However, it is not wasted knowledge because I believe the information was reinforced in me; it was that I did not learn something new. All in all, the activities provided with the majority of the learning for this course, as it is an EBL unit rat.
INNOVATION ARCHITECTURE 1
Innovation Architecture
Ronna Coffman
Grand Canyon University: ENT-435
April 21st, 2017
Innovation is much more than just design thinking workshops. In fact, innovation is a challenging undertaking. For the success of an organization it requires repeatable and rigorous system of innovation. Creativity and ideas are essential ingredients of innovation. The seeds of innovation are provided by individuals, but innovation is a team effort that turns ideas into reality and delivers tangible outcomes. (Elliott, 2014)
Companies today face a harsh ultimatum: Innovate or die. Senior executives repeatedly tell to their employees that failing to innovate would create a critical risk to their enterprise’s growth, even its survival. Organizations rate themselves lowest on one aspect of innovation i.e. the ability to implement a “system of innovation” – a defined, consistent and effective innovation process. (France, Mott, & Wagner, 2014)
Innovation involves the introduction of something new, particularly something radically different. The something new could be products and services, product/service delivery, business designs, business processes, or new ways of managing.
Business Innovation can be differentiated from other types of initiative such as efficiency, continuous improvement, transformation, optimization etc. by its purpose. The purpose of business innovation is to create new future value for the organization. Innovation is strongly connected to strategy since the focus of strategy is to consider the constantly changing context and envision the future to define the best competitive position to achieve future goals.
The greatest challenge faced in building innovation architecture is that leaders are not able to create a climate for innovation in an organization. The employees are not recognized and rewarded for the innovative work they carry out. The organizations should look after the employees as they play an important role in bringing out innovation.
Innovation in an organization is everyone’s responsibility, but employees can’t innovate unless their leaders empower them to do so in an environment that values and rewards their contributions. The leaders should create a climate that helps the employees to innovate and even they are allocated accountability for a particular idea. Company can create a center of innovation expertise in corporate headquarters or diversifies ownership of innovation across business units depending on company’s market focus and on its organizational structure.
For bringing out innovation the employees must be involved, motivated and engaged with the leaders. If they do the same things each day, they’re not going to get inspired by new things. To get more than ideas for continuous improvement, people’s minds should be flooded with a lot of new information – and this is where Design Thinking can play a great role.
Building innovation architecture:
Successful innovators .
A TYPICAL DESIGNTo illustrate a program focused on individual de.docxransayo
A TYPICAL DESIGN
To illustrate a program focused on individual development, we use the example of a leadership course designed for a manufacturing company. The company had a long history of promoting leadership development and had recently become concerned about building a cadre of “change-agent” leaders capable of coping with the accelerating pace of innovation in the industry. Two professors from a leading business school, experts in leadership, were called in to design a program around the leadership competencies required to effect organizational change. Together the professors and company sponsors produced and delivered a four-day learning experience structured around three distinct modules: the leader’s role in change, skills for implementing change, and motivational and empowerment practices.
At the start of day one, participants received survey feedback from a dozen of their workplace colleagues (superiors, peers, and subordinates). This feedback was structured so that the competency categories that were reported corresponded with each of the course’s three themes. This ensured that participants could personally gauge their strengths and weaknesses against the competencies described in the modules about to be taught. It was assumed that feedback early in the course would stimulate the participants’ desire to learn.
Following this feedback and a personal review session with an onsite coach, the program began with a module on leadership vision and change. Using a series of case studies from companies such as General Electric, Microsoft, and the Virgin Group, participants learned lessons about core leadership concepts such as strategic vision, unconventional market perspectives, and environmental scanning for opportunities. During course discussions, the professors encouraged participants to share their own experiences. This created dialogue that allowed the core concepts to be applied to the individuals’ own leadership challenges and personal work situations.
A second module was presented in days two and three that emphasized skills required for implementing change. Another series of case studies illustrated how effective leaders at several companies had successfully orchestrated large-scale organizational change. For example, participants explored the successful turnaround of the international advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather by its senior leader Charlotte Beers. This case study taught lessons about the process of developing a strategic vision and ways to implement the vision once it was defined. Experiential exercises were used to teach communications and influence skills. A portion of day three and all of day four explored the remaining themes of motivation and empowerment—again using experiential exercises and case discussions as the principal vehicles for conveying lessons and insight. Participants learned about the personal philosophies that leaders often draw on in their efforts to empower others, and about the importance of lea.

As the training manager for a healthcare organization with 250 employees, I have been asked to determine the skills required for the new IT system that will be implemented in the purchasing department. I have been asked to suggest a needs analysis process and supply recommendations for how to address organizational constraints related to time and performance. I will find the linkages between performance, training and needs and recommend the best option for the needs analysis and a training design.
Needs Analysis
Training needs analysis (TNA) is "a systematic method for determining what caused performance to be less than expected or required. Performance improvement is the focus of training" (Blanchard & Thacker, 2013, Chapter 4). The result of performing a TNA will be to ensure that the training involved with the new IT system is targeted and effective. Through the TNA I will be able to see what content is currently missing and how I can deliver consistent training. Costs, organizational needs, training methods and competencies will need to be evaluated in order to determine what skills are required for the new IT system in the purchasing department.
First I will develop a workforce profile in order to determine the skills and knowledge that will be required. I will be capturing education levels, experience and even literacy of current employees for statistical meanings. Then, compliance regulations will be reviewed and met. After the educational needs of each employee in the purchasing department have been captured, the training will be sourced, analyzed and mapped so check for gaps and any related impacts. This step is extremely important as it will allow us to find what is working and what is not as far as the training. Finally, I will provide my report that recommends and advises on the most effective training methods and products.
Recommendations for Organizational Constraints (Time and Performance)
The likelihood of having some type of time and performance constraint will be inevitable. As far as time constraints, currently there have not been any; however there may be performance constraints. The ability for employee(s) to retain information varies. The performance constraints may affect the efficiency of training results. Further training and coaching may be required. A suggestion would be to have a pre-service training or orientation to support the learning needs of employees. Hands-on training with an instructor(s) can help with analyzing and adjusting training for each employee.

Team Development sessions, using Peter Senge’s disciplines
Upon a start of an organization, one usually hopes that the organization will live into many generations in the future. However, most of times organizations do not last long. Very few organization live more than estimated. According (Zeeman, 2019), one third of 500 companies will disappear within 15 years, with the average lifespan of large enterprises existing for approximately 40 years. The organization with considerably longer lifespans are doing things differently, which Zeeman claims to be continuous learning motivated towards growth and development. With continuous growth, is the underlying continued change within the structures of the organization.
An organization that grows from time to time lives evinces of its ability to manage change effectively. According to Cohen et al, organizational change involves the transition from the known to the unknown, the unfamiliar to the familiar, and most importantly, from relative certainty to relative uncertainty, (Ramanthan, 2008). The fact that an organization never moves to a state of obsolete certainty shows of how an organization ought to be excellent with handling change, this is because change is a permanent constant in the organization’s lifetime. To which peter suggests the five disciplines of a learning organization, (Zeeman, 2019).
According to Peter Senge, for an organization to have a much longer lifespan, it has to master continuos learning and incorporate it within its every aspect. The five disciplines are; personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning and systems thinking. For personal mastery, an employee has a clear vision of a specific goal with a clear perception of reality. Mental models involve identifying the identity of the organization and what the enterprise is all about. Shared vision comes in through interaction with employees within the enterprise. Team learning ensures that platforms that enable continued learning is available. Finally, systems thinking directs thinking towards the general problems of the organization. These disciplines makes an organization that learns continuously.

Introduction
From the study, we can observe that the case study describes the organization as an organization that depends on the culture and has minimal consideration. The culture that the body practices contributes significantly to the problem that has occurred in the body. The organization staff is so dormant that they were not able to identify the ignition switch until it leads to the death of at least thirteen people. The engineers who were involved in the study were able to easily realize the problem while the real engineers of the organization were not capable of understanding it. The organization, in general, has an appreciative attribute as it agrees on its drawbacks and it ready to take the relevant steps to bring effectiveness.
Strengths
Each agency has its strengths. The organization has a competitive advantage over its competitors in the market. It has a high staff which brings great importance in the market.
Weakness
In any situation where there is a strength, there are also some shortcomings. The primary weakness of the organization is the lack of proper communication channel within the organization. The weakness has brought the problem in the case study. The organization has a weakness on raising issues affecting the firm. Also, practicing culture where people comes in the body and fail to ratify the challenge affecting the entire organization. Though the organization has these challenges, it can utilize them to come up with its opportunity.
Organizational modeling
A corporate model of a body defines an organization through its framework which includes the line of power, communication, resources and duty allocation in the firm. The basis of the model of the structure are usually from the goals and objectives of the organization, and it serves as the context in which processes operate.
The body uses autocratic model. The design carefully blueprints into functional departments which run from the top by the chief executive (Secchi, 2015). In this model, the low-level employees have little control over the work function. The organization does not welcome ideas from them and innovations as the critical decision is at the top. The guiding principal to autocratic model is that the management and the owners have numerous business experiences and the average employees have relatively low level of skills, and they depend on instructions from the top on what to do.

For this assignment, you are provided with four video case studies (.docxsleeperharwell
For this assignment, you are provided with four video case studies (linked in the Resources). Review the cases of Julio and Kimi, and choose either Reese or Daneer for the third case. Review these two videos: •The Case of Julio: Julio is a 36-year-old single gay male. He is of Cuban descent. He was born and raised in Florida by his parents with his two sisters. He attended community college but did not follow through with his plan to obtain a four-year degree, because his poor test taking skills created barriers. He currently works for a sales promotion company, where he is tasked with creating ads for local businesses. He enjoys the more social aspects of his job, but tracking the details is challenging and has caused him to lose jobs in the past. He has been dating his partner, Justin, for five years. Justin feels it is time for them to commit and build a future. Justin is frustrated that Julio refuses to plan the wedding and tends to blame Julio’s family. While Julio’s parents hold some traditional religious values, they would welcome Justin into the family but are respectfully waiting for Julio to make his plans known. Justin is as overwhelmed by the details at home as he is at work. •The Case of Kimi: Kimi is a 48-year-old female currently separated from her husband, Robert, of 16 years. They have no children, which was consistent with Kimi’s desire to focus on her career as a sales manager. She told Robert a pregnancy would wreck her efforts to maintain her body. His desire to have a family was a goal he decided he needed to pursue with someone else. He left Kimi six months ago for a much younger woman and filed for divorce. Kimi began having issues with food during high school when she was on the dance team and felt self-conscious wearing the form-fitting uniform. During college, she sought treatment because her roommate became alarmed by her issues around eating. She never told her parents about this and felt it was behind her. Her parents are Danish and value privacy. They always expected Kimi to be independent. Her lack of communication about her private life did not concern them. They are troubled by Robert’s behavior and consider his conspicuous infidelity as a poor reflection upon their family. Kimi has moved in with her parents while she and Robert are selling the house, which has upended the balance in their relationship. For a third case, choose one of these videos: •The Case of Reese: -Reese is a 44-year-old married African American female. Her parents live in another state, and she is their only child. Her father is a retired Marine Lieutenant Colonel who was stationed both in the United States and overseas while Reese was growing up. She entered the Air Force as soon as she graduated high school at age 17 and has achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. She has been married 15 years to John, and they recently discovered she is pregnant. The unexpected pregnancy has been quite disorienting for someone who has planned.
For this assignment, you are going to tell a story, but not just.docxsleeperharwell
For this assignment, you are going to tell a story, but not just any story. It will be a First Nations story, and it will be your version of it.
Choose one of the two stories at the end of this unit, either "Why the Flint-Rock Cannot Fight Back"
You can write of yourself telling one of the stories.
In telling your story, here is what you will need to consider:
Clarity of speech
Intonation
Pacing and pauses
You will also have to work out how to make this telling of the story yours. You might want to read it aloud with point form notes for a prompt or to memorize it. Perhaps you want to rewrite it so that it sounds more like your words. Maybe you will change names and place-names to those you are familiar with. If you are making a video or performing this live, you should practice facial and hand gestures as well as stance and body language. The purpose of all of this is to bring your own meaning to the story.
HERE IS THE STORY
Why the Flint-Rock Cannot Fight Back
Sto-Way’-Na—Flint—was rich and powerful. His lodge was toward the sunrise. It was guarded by Squr-hein— Crane. He was the watcher. He watched from the top of a lone tree. When anybody approached, Crane would call out and warn Flint, and Flint would come out of his lodge and meet the visitor.
There was an open flat in front of the lodge. Flint met all his visitors there. Warriors and hunters came and bought flint for arrow-points and spear-heads. They paid Flint big prices for the privilege of chipping off the hard stone. Some who needed flint for their weapons were poor and could not buy. These poor persons Flint turned away.
Coyote heard about Flint and, as he wanted some arrow-points, he asked his squas-tenk’ to help him. Squas-tenk’ refused.
“Hurry, do what I ask, or I will throw you away and let the rain wash you— wash you cold,” said Coyote, and then the power gave him three rocks that were harder than the flint-rock. It also gave him a little dog that had only one ear. But this ear was sharp, like a knife; it was a knife- ear.
Then to his wife, Mole, Coyote said: “Go and make your underground trails in the flat where Sto-way’-na lives. When you have finished and see me talking with him, show yourself so we can see you.”
Then Coyote set out for Flint’s lodge. As he got near it, he had his power make a fog to cover the land, and thick fog spread over everything. Crane, the watcher, up in the lone tree, could not see Coyote. He did not know that Coyote was around.
Coyote climbed the tree and took Crane from his high perch and broke his neck. Crane had no time to cry out. Then Coyote went on to Flint’s lodge. He was almost there when Flint’s dog, Grizzly Bear, jumped out of the lodge and ran toward him.
Coyote was not scared, and he yelled at Flint: “Stop your grizzly bear dog! Stop him, or my dog will kill him.”
That amused Flint, who was looking through the doorway. He saw that Coyote’s one-eared dog was very small, hardly a mouthful for Grizzly Bear. Fli.

Does the ringisei decision-making process by consensus, which is used by the Japanese, reach the same conclusion as the top-down methods, which are used by American management? Some might label the Japanese decision-making system as simply procrastination. Others appreciate the method and expect productive outcomes. One major challenge is to build an organizational culture to adopt the practice of ringisei. If only half of an organization uses ringisei, it is likely to cause miscommunication and result in frustration.
The ringisei is based on the theory that the employee is an important part of the overall success of an enterprise. It is common to hear a lot about
empowering the employees
. Is creativity and innovation rewarded, ignored, or punished for the lower level employee in America?
Could the Japanese system of decision making have led to the controversy of what Toyota knew about unintended acceleration problems? This may be the best example of the use of silence in the Japanese culture frustrating Americans as a nation. This is not an explicit accusation of Toyota or of Japanese culture. Rather, it is inserted here to demonstrate potential consequences of management methods, processes, systems, and decision making. Read pages 106-108 of Luthans and Doh (2012) concerning this topic. The cause of the unintended acceleration problem announced by the United States government was due to bad floor mats or driver error. Initially, electronic problems were not mentioned.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.

students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

TURNITIN SIMILARITY REPORTS
Dr Shelton
4/19/2017 7:12:39 AM
Class---The Turnitin similarity reports have not been working
properly these last prior weeks. The system worked for many of
the submissions for week 5. Please do not copy material and not
cite your sources correctly. Please understand the differences
between citing direct quotes and paraphrasing. Please do not
get another students paper and use it. Please do not copy
material from the web. The system will catch you. I am
supposed to turn these submissions into the university for
evaluation, when the system tells me to do so and if cited for a
violation is entered into your record. Please do not copy
material. Every submission that I have turned into the
university has been cited for plagiarism ethics violation with no
exception.
This last submission is critical. Please do not get a zero on it
for not giving credit to your sources. This applied to the
discussion question posts too. Good luck this last week.

Instructor Guidance
A Complete Paradigm Shift (Leadership and Power)
I peruse YouTube frequently and look for business related
topics and discussions. I happened to come across this
particular video a while back and really thought it should be the
focal point of my last guidance for our class.
I believe that in today’s business environment, corporations and
leaders need to rethink their business approaches, models,
theories and strategies.
Leaders are currently operating under a paradigm of what is in
it for me syndrome and focused on short term profits and
returns for stakeholders
. This business model is leader driven and places no real true
value on employees outside of being used and abused to
accomplish business objectives.
Fortunately we are now starting to see a major shift from
operating under this type of business strategy and leadership
4. perspective into a new paradigm now focused on a mission
driven and value based philosophy.
This new concept is focused on what is best for the world rather
than the organization at that moment in time.
Also, the traditional leader-follower business model is being
torn down and reestablished.
There are two mental models and approaches:
1. One outside mental set states that I do something to get
something—old paradigm.
2. I do something to grow my own capacity and the capacity of
the community and global
environment—a growth mind set.
Establishing a new culture with leadership that operates under a
growth mind set is a new paradigm shift. Some major
corporations such as Pepsi Cola are operating under this new
paradigm and innovative way of thinking with respect to a
culture based on values and a growth mind set. These are
becoming the best corporations to work for and are attracting
the best talent because of this business strategy and model
based on a values driven culture. The new business model is
being changed with the power being invested in the followers
and focusing on long term sustainable results with the
5. stakeholders’ best interest in mind rather than short term
profits. In my opinion, this entire approach allows for a more
global perspective and increases the opportunity for better
margins and more satisfied employees.
Take some time and look at this nine plus minute video
. Reflect back throughout the last five weeks of this class and
what you have learned. Think about the theories and the
changes that have occurred as the literature based was expanded
upon. We are facing some significant economic issues and our
government and our corporations need to be managed
differently. This is the beginning of a new paradigm and YOU
can become a calylist.
