How to make your team 5 times more productiveGrowing Agile
A talk for the Product Meetup group, aimed at helping Product Managers and Product Owners make their teams more productive.
We share our top tips in this talk. Each tip is something we’ve personally tried with several teams and seen significant improvements in productivity and morale as a result.
Have you spent many hours producing English content just to have it sitting on your site without attracting any traffic nor links?
Do you have at least one piece of content on your site right now that has achieved media mentions or blog features?
If you answered 'yes' to either of those questions, you have all it takes to expand the reach of your content immensely by getting placements and links from some of the biggest publishers from around the world.
In this webinar, Gisele Navarro will share two case studies drawn from NeoMam Studios' international digital PR campaigns, and will show you how to start promoting your content across the globe, connecting with non-english nations from South America to South Korea.
After the webinar you will understand:
- Why translating your existing English content is a must in 2015.
- What you need to know before launching an international digital PR campaign.
- How to identify those pieces of content you've already produced, which have potential to go global.
Imagine you have a 100 days and your only directive is that you **must** spend at least an hour a day in the code. Could you build an army of bots and take over the world?
Recently I've taken part in the #100DaysOfCode Challenge, which is designed to help beginners get started with meaningful and fun activities, even when they have no previous knowledge.
Together we'll cover the basics of bot building and go under the hood to look at the code and the basic architecture that holds it together. We'll examine some of the bots you can build and by the end of the session you'll be able to start building your own robot minions.

Luke Carthy MozCon 2019 - Killler cro tips with a seo web crawlerPeter Mesarec
Luke Carthy was a guest on the www.time4marketing.com podcast where he talks about his presentation at the #mozcon in 2019. He uses his SEO crawler tools in different ways to find opportunities for e-commerce websites and you can too!
This session takes a look at the range of experiences we have as individuals, and what we can draw from our own experiences to improve how we design and build for others.
We looked at how much we delve into that range, how much we shy away from the extremes, from our intuitions, and how we overlook the nuance in favour of the coarse and the safe.
We went through some frameworks that help apply these conversations at work, how you can format insights that feed into design specifications, and we discussed how these principles apply to facilitation and user research, product, and service design.
Why?
We know people are at the core of what we do, but we rarely explore them with as much rigour or subtlety as we do more technical domains. Our best developers, designers, and product managers are rarely able to talk about humans with as much confidence and nuance as they can talk about ruby, typefaces or commercial strategy.
It's hard. Partly because the topic is so subjective - it's so close to all of us, and it's hard to lay claim to being an expert. It can also be confronting, we can lack the vocabulary, and it's easy to be wrong. But what do we lose by holding back from fully exploring the human dimension of the problems we're trying to solve? What tools can we use to make these conversations easier, and focused on product outcomes?
Why A Press Release Is Not A Blog Post - And Why It MattersSha Menz
Press Releases have been around for ever, but these days the lines have blurred a little too much on exactly what a press release is, how it looks, and most importantly what it does.
In this session at Pubcon Vegas 2016, Sha Menz reveals the negative effects of mistaking your press release for a blog post and what to do if you have those scary press releases still sitting out there attracting Penguin to your website. Drawing on her background as a newspaper editor, Sha also provides insight into the real purpose of those releases and how they fit into your Brand Strategy.
One of the biggest mistakes businesses make when they first venture into content marketing is a lack of strategy. Often they adopt a 'one-size-fits-all' approach to their content marketing channels only to see their efforts dashed. The truth is what works on social media, does not necessarily work on search, and the reason usually boils down to how your audience uses these channels. Discover to how understanding audience's intent on Search and on Social Media can help you build a holistic content marketing strategy that works.
In this presentation by Daniel Hochuli, you'll learn:
- Why same content published on both search and social media often fails to deliver results.
- How to develop and optimise a content marketing strategy that best suits your digital channels.
- How to intelligently report content marketing success using audience metrics.

For the last two decades, the amount of data we store, process, and analyze is ever growing. The last decade shows a higher focus on immediate feedback loop data pipeline, using technologies such as Complex Event Processing (CEP), Stream Processing, and Change Data Capture (CDC). Services such as Kafka or NATS are to be found in almost every new system (at least to some extent).
To build a data pipeline, the number of technologies, frameworks, and platforms are endless. Getting the initial grasp of it all is much harder than expected, but together we can tackle it!

sarađivanja s različitim vrstama javnosti, planiranja i provo|enja promjena.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
