• The concept had existed under the
  name of the ‘DRUG BANK’ since the
  80’s but it was in 1998 when 4
  students of 1997 batch-MBBS
  revived the society to its present
  form.

camps are organised in association
with the Principal’s office for each
new batch joining the college and
for paramedics to protect them
from the hazard of procuring Hep B
while at work.

 November, 2000-- 20
 units were donated.

society for donation in an
emergency to needy
patients.
Natural Disasters– We
       are there!!
• Relief work was done by us in the
  form of drugs and medical care in
  association with the RDA and the
  students’ union for ---Gujarat
  earthquake, Tsunami victims,
  Kashmir earthquake and Bihar
  floods.
Donations by the Society to Different
   Departments of the Hospital
    The drug society donated following
    equipments to the casualty unit and TB &
    chest department:

•     Instrument Trolley
•     Nebulizers
•     Wheel chairs
•     X-RAY view box
The society plans to construct
a restroom for the attendants
of the patients admitted to
JNMCH and the construction
would be completed by the
end of 2011

our approach.

  cancer chemotherapies.

• We have dropped the word
  ‘PROGNOSIS’ to a large extent while
  assessing a patient for his/her need.

  • 7. • The concept had existed under the name of the ‘DRUG BANK’ since the 80’s but it was in 1998 when 4 students of 1997 batch-MBBS revived the society to its present form. • The society was registered in 2004

  • 11. • Most important & basic function done on a daily basis. • Provision of free drugs, money for investigations, surgical material and implants to the needy patents admitted to JNMCH.

  • 13. • Confirmation and assessment of the real need of the patient in person by a member. • The member sanctions the drugs and signs the sanction slip with his/her code. • The drugs are collected from shop no. 8, Zakaria Market, by the patient. Shop- 8, Zakaria Market

  • 16. • Camps at Haridwar, Dolinagar, Makhdoom Nagar, Bhujpura etc have also been organised.
  • 20. The society recognises that Charity should literally begin at home!! AND SO Regular Hepatitis- B vaccination camps are organised in association with the Principal’s office for each new batch joining the college and for paramedics to protect them from the hazard of procuring Hep B while at work.
  • 23. Blood Donation Camps We realise that we have to act as role models for the society to encourage blood donation.
  • 24. •The first camp was organised on 9 th November, 2000-- 20 units were donated.

  • 26. Record Keeping of Blood Groups A batch-wise list of blood groups is maintained by the society for donation in an emergency to needy patients.
  • 27. Natural Disasters– We are there!! • Relief work was done by us in the form of drugs and medical care in association with the RDA and the students’ union for ---Gujarat earthquake, Tsunami victims, Kashmir earthquake and Bihar floods.

  • 30. Donations by the Society to Different Departments of the Hospital The drug society donated following equipments to the casualty unit and TB & chest department: • Instrument Trolley • Nebulizers • Wheel chairs • X-RAY view box
  • 31. The society plans to construct a restroom for the attendants of the patients admitted to JNMCH and the construction would be completed by the end of 2011

  • 40. Not only has the number of patients benefited increased in the previous years, but also there has been a gradual change in our approach.
  • 41. • We are now supporting costly cancer chemotherapies. • We have dropped the word ‘PROGNOSIS’ to a large extent while assessing a patient for his/her need.
